Love the new recliners! Heat seemed to be off today. Really hot in the top 2 rows before the movie started and as soon as the movie started the ac kicked in and it was uncomfortably cold. Really like the new snack bar concept. Hope it works as well during a Star Wars rush as it did on a Sunday morning.

I really dont like pre portioned popcorn. Cant do any layering of butter topping! I get the idea stream lining service but the convenience store layout of snacks isn't my thoughts of a good layout and experience. The labour model makes sense but takes from the fun movie experience in my opinion. The chairs are amazing comfy and the sound systems are great!

Go to the country hills location. They have the self serve sodas, so you can get a larger selection, the upper balcony concession has been closed for as long as I can remember, so it just looks terrible on their part, and the recliner seating is definitely smaller chairs than other locations, not just width but depth (my feet hang off the foot rest here, but again not at country hills landmark), also, being that I'm above average height, I couldn't see the first 3 or so cm of the screen due to the guard rail. If I was average height, it would be worse. I will say the manager was top notch. They had a lesser staff being a holiday, and instead of expecting more work from his staff, he stepped up to make sure all was well with customers, including taking the Atom orders. Probably won't be back unless the movie we want to see is booked solid at another landmark location, even though we only live 10 or so minutes away from this one.

As much as Cineplex holds a place in my heart. Landmark is objectively a better theater in every way, the seats, the laser ultra system with Atmos. And the "market" style concessions is way better. Also the ticket system and their tiered membership systems are better overall too. If you're in the area or don't mind driving it's worth it for sure to come here for your movies.

We went to an early morning movie with our kiddos school, it was a huge success and loads of fun. Everyone on staff was very pleasant and professional. We were in 2 theatres as we were such a big group, one of our theatres needed to be moved as the projector was having trouble and they moved all of us (parents and a ton of excited grade two kiddos) with ease and efficiency to happily enjoy our movie. All round great experience and happy time ????.

A convenient theater, but it could use some cleaning. This is a fairly typical movie house. Parking is fairly easy, the online seat reservation system is great and they offer a good selection of films. My only complaint is cleanliness. The floors are sticky and crunchy with popcorn debris, and the seats are musty and stained. Cleanliness is a big deal for me, hence my 2 star rating.

This was the closest theater to me while I was growing up. I've seen it change names about 3 times I believe. It might be on it's 4 name change since 2003. Not a bad thing though. Each time they changed ownership it got better and better. Hopefully it doesn't need to change names for it to improve. They have done a nice job with the current renos. I recommend going when you have time !

Wow I haven't been to a movie in a long time but I will definitely be going more! All their seats are comfy recliners and you can pick your seat when you buy a ticket! Love it! They also have kid friendly Saturday morning movies where it's not so loud, the kids are allowed to talk and the lights are on a bit. What a great idea

3 stars for customer service but the place itself is a 5 star. Some of the crew doesn't listen to what you want. Some don't know what layered butter on a popcorn is and you have to pay extra for it. Lol. Make sure you see them layer it before you accept the popcorn. Otherwise, some of them are nice. Not often smile but probably cause of how busy it gets sometime and they have to hurry the service.

The seats in the theater recline and are very comfortable! They keep everything sanitized for covid reasons. I felt safe there. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is an elevator for people with handicap issues. Great experience.

EDIT- the rear row of theatre 8 has obstructed view for kids. My son is 5 and had a big safety bar obstructing his view. No booster seats! No solutions! We won’t come back to this theatre until they get boosters AND fix their SHADY pricing practices. Prices are BRUTAL on snacks now- so bad they don’t even have signs telling you how much it is. I understand they gotta make some money off concessions but ZERO combos anymore so you pay full pop for everything on top of outrageous prices. I knew the new snack market thing would be a rip off.

Loved the recliner seats. The only thing that I'm not a big fan of is that concession stand and the movie ticket kiosk has been merged. Otherwise, Landmark Cinemas has by far the best seats in any cinemas that I've been in.

I love the theatre, however while watching West Side story on Friday night I felt very un safe as far as protocols are in place No seats were x’d off the top half of theatre was packed and lower was empty. The treat kiosk and tills were crowded and no social distancing was being practiced.

A great theatre experience. We bought the tickets online in advance and were all set and ready to go when we got to the theatre, no worries about sitting together or where as we had bought numbered seats. the concession area could have had more staff working (half the counters weren't open) the wait times were a while to get food

Terrible experience today. Self serve concession but you still get filtered through one line even if you purchased online. Took way too long. Paid $27 for 1 pop, 1 coffee, 1 popcorn and 1 candy in addition to the cost of tickets purchased online. After purchases was put into another single line to get to the 2 people in total checking tickets for all auditoriums combined. Escalator was broken, not a big deal but still annoying because again it caused a bottleneck. Finally made it to my auditorium only to find the heat cranked really high. No kidding it had to be 30 degrees Celsius at least. This place was good in the past but if this is how it is run now I will go to ciniplex next time.

I used to go to Chinook for all of my movies until I found this theater. It's much quieter, and all the theaters have reclining leather seats. By far this is my favourite movie theater.

We love this theatre. Recently revamped concession area which makes it much more efficient. Love the ability to preorder everything through the atom app. The ultra laser theatre is worth the extra price. The reclining seats are so comfortable. Maybe too comfortable!

Chairs are really comfortable now that they recline. They have stepped up their game lately with the marketplace style area for treats. Theater was fairly clean. Just lacks the full service you get from a VIP theater. Otherwise, a fantastical experience.

They just renovated, and it's so cool there. You can grab your own popcorn and candy, and drinks. Take them up to the concession stand and pay for them there. The service was very friendly

I went with my sisters and it was a great experience! I love the seating area, there was plenty of space so no-one could kick my chair, everything was pristine, and the remodeled concession area is so cool! It's like a mini grocery store, but for the movies with snacks, candy, popcorn, and merch! And the drink area is pretty sweet too with self-serve fountain pop! I had so much fun and I'd definitely recommend others to check it out too!

I don't know. Maybe I'm getting too old but as I maneuvered my way through this theatre with my special needs sister, I was disappointed to see an array of glass doors behind which was "fresh" popcorn (more about this is in a sec), self-serve soft drink and coffee dispensers, shelves full of candy (including "bulk" items - ????), and bottled drinks and salty snacks. I felt like I was in a roadside convenience store. What happened to concession stands? The popcorn was far from fresh, was not remotely warm and guzzling a bottle of canola oil would have comparatively been better at the half way point through the bag. You have to choose seats at the time of ticket purchase like you're taking a flight. The best part was the reclining chairs. My sister would NEVER be able to attend this theatre without assistance. I barely managed. And just as an FYI - this theatre is owned by Landmark Cinemas so Cineplex gift cards are NOT accepted.

Staff are great. They do clean the whole theater right after the movie. They have a machine they use to sanitize the place. There's 5 staff waiting right after the movie. Also, they make sure that the guests wears their mask appropriately.

The whole 2 bathroom stalls are always nasty and the previous time I went there there was no toilet paper and no soap. This time they had both of those at least except that the toilet paper was just laying on the floor with no dispenser anywhere on the wall. I don't think we'll be coming back.

The theatre is nice and clean. We went to a regular show (no 3D or extra fancy seats) and the seats were of the comfortable reclining variety. I'm 6' 2" and didn't really have an issue with the row in front of me. Getting our tickets and snacks took longer than I thought it should but maybe they don't have as many people working on a Monday evening.

I’ve always enjoyed going to this theatre. Competitive prices and better service than Cineplex in most ways. The new chairs are a nice touch too. I do miss the old concessions. Staff were happy to refill my popcorn at the end of the movie (I always paid another $2-$3 for layered butter to take a bag home and enjoy). Now with the new setup I’m told they will no longer allow this practice. I’m disappointed. If I’m going to pay $30 for a combo this was one way for me to get more value for my money. Cineplex would never do this for me and that has impacted my willingness to spend at their concession. I’ll keep coming here. Just maybe not as often as I did before. Canyon Meadows theatre up McLeod is still happy to refill my popcorn.

Just wanted to post a review of murder on the Orient Express, which I just saw. It was excellent! I love the heightened drama that Kenneth Branagh brings to this tale. Highly recommended!! Adding to my previous review, we just saw Captain Marvel a couple days ago and the new recliner seats were incredible! They really enhanced the movie experience and our comfort.

First time back after the Reno, looks like all the auditoriums feature reclining seats now. New cafeteria style concession where all items are out in the open, you make your selections and carry up to the cashier, who has butter and drink cups. Great sound and projection in the theater, but a word of caution: we sat in the top row of a fairly full theater and it was sweltering hot, to the point I had to walk out to get fresh air. About a 3°C difference between top of the stairs and the bottom, so plan accordingly if your a chilly movie watcher. Overall a really nice experience

Worst organized theatre in modern times. So, you think you are smart and pickup your tickets at the kiosk OR scan in with your mobile. Why show up early then if you have assigned seats, well....They have mixed concessions with tickets so you get the pleasure of waiting 30 minutes for popcorn while your movie goes on so that people can wait to buy their tickets from the people getting popcorn and drinks. What makes it insulting is that there is another concession that they don’t even open. Can’t wait for AMC to open nearby so that I️ can enjoy a movie in a place that understands people flow and planning. It’s Friday night, this place is packed and clearly they don’t have the right number of staff.

It would be nice if they had more people at the tills during busier times, but they get through the lines pretty fast. Customer service is usually pretty good. Thanks Landmark!

My spouse and I are regulars at this theater (roughly 3 a month) and have never had an issue. The theaters are always clean, staff is always friendly, popcorn is always fresh, and the wait times are tolerable. If you are going on a busy weekend night, expect a lineup like any other theater. Assigned seating is great. I prefer the Extra theater but I've seen shows in their regular theaters and they are great as well.

While they have great new recliner seats,the service at the atom link was dismal at best. As soon as we got to the front of the line, the person working at the counter went to serve the general line, even though there was some other staff to help out there. Why have an atom line if you are not going to serve the customers in that line? Could use some work....

No stars new set up is terrible and very dirty. People coming in from outside the theatre and touching bags of popcorn that may be yours if you show up after them. Self serve popcorn is a very bad idea. Will never return.

UPDATE: New leather recliner seating is amazing!! Definitely one of the best theatres in town. Prefer this over Chinook as they are too crowded and not all is reserve seating. Great improvement as of April 2019. The Atom app is great too. I go to this theatre a lot! 4/5 Stars - 2018 Good place. Love the renovations. Staff is great. I like that they have reserve seating on all their theatres now. Definitely prevents people from jumping from one movie to another without paying, and we are all guaranteed seats! I just wish they'd give all their theatres leather seats as sometimes hair and food stick to the seats and it's hard to wipe it down. Looks really gross and dirty especially at the end of the day. The bathroom stall doors also don't lock very well. I cannot tell you how many times someone has walked in on me. Very embarrassing for both parties.

Won’t go anywhere else since this theatre has leather recliner seats with reservations available. They also have the self-serve Coke machines. Cleanest theatre in Calgary with arcade games outside. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the best places to chill and watch a movie on those comfy seats... O just don't understand the new concept they are trying to implement on people. I mean you grab your own pop corn... And pay at front.. I just don't understand it. Other than that, people are nice, seats are super comfortable, ambient is always nice and quiet while watching a movie.

Love that I can reserve seats and they're relatively comfy. This location, though, has some customer service issues with the younger concession stand staff. They were goofing off while we were waiting to be served. Then had to go back as there was a plush cat left in the theater so we wanted it to go into lost and found and three of them just ignored us and were throwing chocolate bars at each other until I yelled, "Hello? Are you going to do your job and serve customers?" They then got the cat, but not sure if it went into lost and found as the girl commented that it's an expensive cat.

My favourite place to watch movies! This cinema has beautiful leather recliners with plenty of space for you and that special someone. Would definitely recommend as all staff that I have come across have been friendly and helpful any way they could. It is also situated really close to Shawnessy LRT station so it’s easy to access for everybody

The new renovation is an absolute disaster. It is overcrowded, overwhelming, and completely unorganized. I'd recommend going to a different theatre that follows the tried and tested norm of speaking with a human to order your snacks. Walking into a "convenience store" then waiting in line for 20 minutes is not my idea of a positive change.

Great cinema experience. Comfortable seats that recline surprisingly far back and an extensive concessions that has literally everything... for a price. My only complaint for the cinema is that they don't seem to have the whole movie experienced ironed out yet. At the start of the movie when the bass started you could hear a speaker blow out in the left side of the theatre. They also turned on the theatre lights during an emotional scene at the end of the film so it was a tiny bit hard to see the screen for the last five minutes of the picture.

If you like independence, quiet, and easy location. This is the spot. But they market as a very friendly, helpful, customer experience focused theater. However the self serving cafeteria, lack of staff presence, very dislocated layout, average food and some awkward seating spots with visual obstructions work against that vision. I personally prefer the independence, but the mixed message leaves me only modestly happy with the experience.

Great theater with nice seats, they have made some really nice upgrades overall. My review would have been 5 stars but the popcorn was not very fresh the last few times I had it. The popcorn also has everyone grabbing it from the same cabinet doors, does not seem very sanitary having people touch all the popcorn.

Some how I ordered my tickets at the wrong location and a younger gentleman, I assume the manager, helped me sort things out. Extra props due to the fact the location had a lot of issues due to their ticket machines being down. Great service. Other than that I really enjoy the lounger/recliner style seating at landmarks cinemas. Glad they have managed to stay open all things considered.

Went to watch a movie here after going to the mall and I can say that it is the best Landmark I’ve been to in Calgary. The concession experience feels cleaner and much more efficient than the other landmarks

This place is just fabulous- and the renovation was well worth the wait. So many more snack and drink options, and they even have a self-serve candy bar! Shoutout to Jacob (Jake) who assisted us - super friendly guy and this location is lucky to have him.

I was very surprised I came here to see suicide squad today and this theater is so much nicer than any cineplex theater in the city it’s definitely worth more to go here than cineplex the cineplex theatres just feel dirty to me now since coming to this theater we came for the Wednesday deal me and my friend two tickets very clean theater and bathroom and I love how you can pour your own drink I found that very cool I will definitely be coming back here soon!

I was invited to a special viewing of Star Wars The Last Jedi, so I can't say anything about admissions. But the theater was very comfortable with excellent sight lines. Concessions were very fast and friendly. The lobby was nice and spacious allowing us to hang around a bit after the movie for cars to warm up as the weather was about -35 out.

This theatre recently did some renovations to their concession area. But with the changes, the popcorn is stored in warmers for each customer to grab (instead of getting a fresh bag) and making it incredibly confusing to navigate the changes and the menu for combos and pricing. But the nice addition with these concession changes is that you have a larger variety of fountain beverages, because you now get a cup and can use the automated soda fountains. The do have fully reclining seats though. That's a very nice thing about this theare. In conclusion, I am not a fan of the new renovations and probably won't be going back to this theatre. I'd rather go to the Seton Cineplex theatre.

Electric reclining leather seats very comfy. Lots of legroom, floors werent sticky. They dont scoop your popcorn anymore, and bags are often not full. And if you complain they would have to take your popcorn into the back room to fill it more which is not worth my time. Food prices are insanely high! They have the fun touchscreen coke mix machines with tons of flavors, but if you are sensitive to the flavors, you don't want to use this - my wife reacted to her pop and couldn't drink.

Landmark has been the best Cinematic experience, chairs are were comfortable. Clean and Covid precautions taken. I prefer watching movies here, l wish if they can do shows for international movies as well

The bathrooms, dryer (2nd floor mens bathroom broken ) could be cleaner. Paper towels were left by the sink which was completely soaked and unusable. Later on same evening replaced and wrapped in a astuc bag which made it unusable again.

New food options are functional and look good but I was not impressed with the popcorn. The seats are great at the theatre I'll give them that. However, I was seriously uncomfortable with how freezing I was during the movie. Had to use my scarf as a blanket and could still feel how cold my legs and face were. Tough to enjoy.

Theatre itself is awesome. However I had a bad experience with a staff. A chubby teenager with a ponytail forgot our order. Then we asked for refund after waiting for 20min. He said one second then we see him in the back talking and laughing with coworkers like there was no problem !! He didn’t show to the counter for the next 5min. Another person served us and gave us a refund. We lost 30min there for nothing.. why is he even working there ?

4.5 Stars if available. Convenient location and have gone here with friends and family. Staff seem friendly and usually greets people warmly. We have also used this place for our kid's birthday parties and found it easy to use. Only added stars would be if there are more discounted promos and arcade type games for kids there:) Thanks for all the hardworking staff there:)

This theater is the worst. There is never any parking, the escalator is always out of order, the washrooms are always in disarray. The upstairs washrooms there is only 1 or 2 stalls and both times I have been lately they have been disgusting and the toilets have been clogged, its like nobody monitors them at all. Then you go to the downstairs washroom and more then half of them are out of order. As for the escalator, if its never going to work just remove it and only have the stairs.

Great since they've upgraded all the theatres with recliners. All theatres are basically the same except for the one big main one with the new first of its kind in Canada laser projector with Dolby sound. Watched endgame in the big theatre - 5/5. Saw Pikachu in regular, sound mix seemed off but still great 3/5. Def go for main room.

Really like the updated approach to concessions and the fact that there's only one time you need to show your ticket. Only downside is that there is still a long lineup to pay for concessions and the bathrooms were quite small (which could create a long delay if you're using them during the film). Otherwise great theatre overall.

We go here weekly. Not a fan of the new food set up. Popcorn is never hot anymore. Variety of foods have dropped off as well. We used to go to a movie sometimes just for the popcorn, it was so good. Not anymore.

Superstore is across the street so it's pathetic that their food/candy prices are 15-50% more. And it's made worse with them now strictly enforcing no outside food. It would be nice to eat something other than candy or popcorn all the time at a movie too. Outside drinks shouldn't be outlawed either if they are only going to serve sugar water or disgusting starbucks drinks. Most of the revenue comes from the concession, but all revenue is lost if everyone refuses to pay $10 for some candy

Five stars for the theatre rooms and building . Washrooms are often clean and well stock. The reason I’m giving only two stars is because the concessionaire service has declined tremendously here, not sure if it’s because they hire lots of young high school kids that simply don’t care but every time I have been here (last visit end of June) they never get our order right and we have to leave the room in order to get get it right! Hasn’t happened once or twice but every time in the past 6 months. They don’t want to layer even though we are paying extra . Last time I saw he didn’t do it (didn’t even add butter! and when I asked him if he did , he said yes. I went to a different person and she actually had to do it. I find the managers are pretty good and if they are attending they make sure they do it right the first time.

Unpleasantly surprised by the drastically changed concession area. Not sure how long it's been that way but it felt like a huge hassle. Have to collect everything yourself and pay at a checkout counter like the grocery store. Inadequate signage. Had to ask 3 different times where to find things or how it all worked. One employee seemed annoyed he had to get 2 hotdogs. Realize that's not necessarily an issue with the re-do but it detracted even more from the experience. It wasn't busy when I was there. Would probably just walk out if it was, or avoid concessions altogether.

Watched spiderman for the late night showing. For some reason the air inside the theater were very dry. Not sure if air circulation/ventilation and filter is great. Plus washrooms were disgusting, not cleaned, the whole toilet roll was simply on the ground as there was no dispenser on the wall.

I recently took my kids to see Toy Story on the Sunday of the film's opening weekend. I had purchased tickets for the 145pm showing and discovered on arrival that I'd accidentally bought tix for the previous day. Major goof seeing as the movie was super popular and most shows were full that weekend. The helpful young man (average height, very short dark hair) at the concession counter was wonderfully patient and understanding. He got the manager (tall, young thin man with long hair) and together they helped by providing tickets and reserving us seats for a show later that day. These guys really went above and beyond! Much appreciated.

Awful new setup. Popcorn sits around on a warming cabinet for everyone to cough and sneeze on. Probably old too as it didn't taste the best like it used too. Concession is now a jumbled mess with people going every which way. With popcorn prices at astronomical prices along with everything else there... I don't see a reason to come back. Very disappointed with Landmark and how they've changed concession.

Everything was great here, but they don't have concession combos anymore which I found a bit jarring. Didn't really know how to handle it to be honest and it took me a while to figure out what configuration of treats I actually wanted... Which I guess is a good thing, but I was not ready for this much change

They have revamped the first floor and it looks amazing! Theatre setup is still the same and seats have a lot of space. The only thing would be the fact that the washrooms upstairs are small so it causes line ups to happen
