I love the VIP experience. I normally go to Seton. This was a similar experience, great. My only problem is there is no parking. The only parking is underground which is great but. You get 3 hours free then the next minute is $20.00. expect to pay this inflated amout for parking. I will stick with surface parking at Seton. 5 stars for the VIP, zero for parking.

Paying a premium but this is the best way to see a movie. Arrive early, 45 to 30 minutes so you will have enough time to order food right to your seat. Pop corn and pop as well as a whole restaurant menu. Food prices for the restaurant food are standard not over priced. Popcorn and soft drinks are priced the same as at any cineplex. Super friendly helpful staff There is bright, clean, and heated underground parking with an elevator that takes you right to the Cineplex entrance.

2 stars because I'm generous. Seats were alright comfort wise. Customer service from the time we arrived, to the time we left was horrendous. Rude, impatient and unwelcoming from the lady who checked our vaccinations and tickets to the lady who took our order, who acted like she was doing us a huge favor, simply by doing her job. The google address is not the actual address, we would have arrived 20min early but had to walk around and finally found it a block and a complex over from the Google location

Pretty fancy experience!! My partner and I went here for Ghostbusters and tried to purchase our tickets with scene points but the machine wasn't working. The manager came out and gave us free tickets and we got to keep our points. Super nice woman!! Cheapest date we've ever been on, we essentially saved 80 bucks. Thanks so much!! The servers were super cute and we had a couple laughs. I love the cubby holes for my purse and the heated seats!! I'm always so cold and have to bring a big jacket as a blanket, but I was super cozy and I didn't have to squish my purse beside me. What an awesome theatre! I felt so boujie. The menu prices are pretty outrageous but I'm usually good with just my popcorn and drinks which are standard prices.

Smaller screens. Service at your chair. Trade off? 20 min or trailer. Comfortable good sound and service. If you like a more intimate experience, a date or hangout with friends after a move this is a great place. It’s no AVX or IMAX, but it’s a different experience. Date movies drama sure. Would I watch a Dune like movie? No. But Spider-Man was good, good sound smaller screen.

Terrible service. They need more staff. Theatre was over half empty and we showed up 45 minutes before the movie and we still couldnt get our food before the movie started.

The in-theatre experience is great, the Cineplex VIP for a premium price ($25 a ticket), you can drink alcohol and have food brought to you in your seat. I would also like to mention that our server was wonderful with no issues on the customer service. This 3-Star review is more reflective on the quality of the food and prices of the food in the lounge. Don’t let the swanky upscale appearance of the lounge and menu fool you, it is still over-priced low quality theatre food. If you’re thinking of taking a date out for dinner before a movie, I’d recommend eating elsewhere beforehand and stick to the traditional popcorn and candy. For dinner, I chose the pizza ($16 on the menu). What arrived was a personal sized pizza that resembled a frozen Delissio Pizza that has been cooked in a toaster oven. Perhaps the entire menu wouldn’t have been as disappointing, however, I’m not prepared to open the wallet to find out.

I checked out Cineplex VIP Cinemas in University District on the first day they operated! As an IMAX fan; that will already be my first choice for experiencing a movie; but if I'm looking for a good night out, this will be at the top of my list. The lounge is pretty nice, and has good food for a fair price. My waitress, Raine, was very friendly, and explained how things work in the VIP Cinemas. For concessions, you can order from the lounge, or in your seat from the server in the cinema (the auditorium opens 30 minutes before Showtime). You can also order from the full lounge menu, if you want to eat in the auditorium. On a side note, you can bring anything from the lounge into the auditorium, so there's no need to finish food and drinks in a hurry. The seats are comfortable, and both recline and have an adjustable headrest. As well the centre armrest can be lifted so you can stretch out, or cuddle up with someone special. Audio and Image quality, are exactly as you'd expect from a brand new cinema, and I found the image to be sharp, and the sound to be well balanced, with nice bass. I had a great time here, and look forward to my next night out!

Went to see Ghostbuster. Super excited because we would normally drive out to Seton for VIP or Sunridge for Recliner seats. UD is so much closer to where we live. Underground Parking is great (First 3 hours is free but you still have to register your license plate using the App or Machine. I always use the app for its real time charge $0.70 for 3.5 hours). We got there 30 mins early to check the place out. We were greeted politely with a smile as we present our Vax/ID. We were informed that we can hang out by the lounge while waiting for our movie. I also pre-ordered our food on the Cineplex app and since we've done this before at the Seton location we were familiar with the process. The theatre was very nice and comfy with a little bit of a downer. My recliner doesn't work. I informed the server/staff and he offered to move us to the next available seats. He also helped us move our food (thank goodness because I'm mr. clumsy). when we sat down and got comfortable, we noticed that our seats are not together/side by side recliners. Not a biggie as we ended up with a bigger table in between us to enjoy the Nachos, Calamari, Fishbowl Margarita and popcorn. The servers/staff are great, warm and welcoming. On the way out I decided to quickly mention to the manager about the faulty seat so they can block it off the app/system to prevent others from having the same experience. To my surprise she offered us 2 complimentary tickets for our next movie night out. Overall, loved this place, easy to find, traffic is super light, ambiance is incredible. This is now our new go-to cinema for our movie night out (Sorry Seton lol). Next movie: American Underdog and Spiderman: No Way Home. PS. Yes the food prices may be a little bit expensive compared to food courts, etc. But since we use our Scene Points to book the movie (50% points this weekend) on the app we decided to splurge a bit on the food.

Theatre was fine but the prices are too high for me. The theatre itself is about as comfortable (maybe a little less) as the landmark theatre at market mall but tickets at the Cineplex VIP cost quite a bit more. For me, there was not enough value there to warrant the extra cost. I didn't order any food in the theatre because the menu didn't appeal to me. I had dinner plans, so I didn't want a full meal. There weren't enough small options. I did try to order popcorn but the waiter had some technical problem with my card. I would have preferred if I could just get my own snacks at the concession on the way in. I won't we going back because I can have a better experience at the landmark down the road for less money. I'm not sure who this VIP theatre is for but I know it's not me. Could be that I'm not important enough. I'm an important person, just not VERY important.

Go elsewhere for a drink beforehand., This place is Corporate Toronto telling you what to like. Draft , is corporate Toronto, pretend Molson/Coors .craft, we know you bought these guys for the name so you could sell us the same beer we did not like before. There are 42 great local brand in Calgary. Sell us one of them, Scotch, fewer will care but the few who do will care lot. Crown Royal and Johnny Walker are not top shelf Scotch. This is about satisfying customers wishes and not following corporate dictates,. The bartenders and the Manger both agreed with me. Wake up corporates. ,

Went to watch Spiderman , it was suppose to start at 12pm but didn't until 12:45pm. 20mins of commercials and another 20+ mins of trailers. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great set up. Live music in the lounge. Makes for an expensive night out, but no more so than going out to separate locations.

My sister and I went to House of Gucci last night at the UD Cineplex and really enjoyed ourselves. We didn't have any food or drinks while seated in the bar area, but it looked welcoming and busy. The theatre itself is very clean, swanky, and upscale! The recliner seats had it all: a TV tray for food, heated seats, a cubby for your belongings, (obviously) reclining function), ample space between neighbouring seats, the ability to raise the arm to make a sort of loveseat if you choose... We arrived about 10 minutes early for our show but next time I'd come earlier, as food/drink service ends when the showtime starts. There were lots of servers within the theatre to wave over and order food and drinks from. We opted just for wine and popcorn and both arrived well within the time that the previews were still running. It was a very luxurious, relaxing way to enjoy a new movie and after months (years?) at home watching shows at home, I really appreciated the beautiful theatre University District is now home to.

A bit disappointed, I love the Seton vip theater but this one may be inferior for now. The seats are a smidge smaller and the staff in the lounge are unfortunately inexperienced or overwhelmed. Shame...

went to see spiderman here for my birthday, movie theater itself was amazing. Seats and screen were excellent. However, we showed up early so that we could get food and while everyone else in the theater was served our group was ignored. Then a staff member asked if wed been helped yet and we replied no. He told us he would send someone over and apologized so we didnt order off of the app and the last call came and went and it was too late. No one came and the movie started. Went whole movie without food. Some of my party left the movie to get food but then missed really good parts. Movie was good but sitting through it without snacks was super unfortunate.

Finally! Calgarians have more than one place where they can enjoy watching movies VIP style. This location for the north and Seton for the south part of the city. Other notable features include: 1) Being age restricted for 18+ (Seton has a section open for younger folks). 2) Underground parking with the first 3 hours free. 3) Easy access to the venue either via escalator or elevator. 4) Close to many points of interest like cafes and restaurants (although you can order food, drinks, and alcohol in the theatre). Either way, pick whichever VIP theatre is closest to where you live and enjoy. Having more than one option really helps.

Seats are very comfortable. Nice little tray you can swing in front of you. Since the seating is so spaced for the recliners, the back seats are pretty far from the screen. Aim for the middle or closer, seats in the back are far.

Underground heated parking 5/5 Theater, screen, heated recliner seats 5/5 Service was good for the most part, however the server that dropped the food off had major BO smell and it made it impossible to eat after 3/5 Overall good, will come back again.

Love this place mainly because it has a nice bar. They service great food anc cocktails . When we went to the cinema , they served food there too. Had comfortable reclining seats. Adequate space to keep food and store our belongings

Beautiful new theatre. We were worried about dinner due to the lackluster reviews however everything was delicious! Raine, our server, was especially friendly and accommodating.
