my wife and I had a fantastic time celebrating our daughters birthday there. The party room we had (not sure if there are more) was clean & brightly decorated by staff (although we chose to add our own flavour to the scene). Room says seats up to 12 ppl, we had 12 kids and comfortably fit an extra 10 standing parents. Realistically the benches around the table could have seated 16 ppl easily. Cups/plates, cutlery, & napkins were supplied by cinema. Communication was clear from beginning to end with the staff. My daughter has Autism and special arrangements were easily made for our entire group. Everything ran smoothly and the cost was reasonable. We will definitely do this again some time and I'd highly recommend it.

I love this place. My son and I come here all the time to watch movies. As I am normally no hurry to see the latest release I wait for it to screen at Canyon Meadows Cinema. Ticket prices are great and so is the concession. They have upped their game with the new Corn Dogs and Craft Sodas..!!

Saw a movie here recently and I found it very cozy. I went with two people and we had no issues sitting together, cheap tickets and the snacks are as good as any of the larger more expensive cinemas. The staff was friendly and polite when engaged, otherwise pretty much left us to our night out. Definitely will go back here.

Best place to see movies a couple weeks after they open in other theatres. Tickets are only 5$, and concession is usual theater prices. Interesting local advertisements before films and often have season movie marathons. Friendly staff and management. Seats and screens slightly lower quality than larger chains, but definitely recommended for the low ticket price.

This is where the old movie theater seats go to die. So after 2 hrs you will start to squirm. However there prices are fantastic, $5. And you can buy your tickets with your popcorn. Try doing that at Chinook! This is our go to place because it doesn't have the rushing crowds of the big theaters.

We went to the screening of Free Solo the other night. We like to take my Father in Law out and about. He is older and the ramps etc are quite helpful. The staff are always super friendly and kind. The popcorn is fresh and as reasonably priced as one can expect these days. The movies are 5 dollars each ! This way we can justify seeing 3-5 movies a month without too much of a strain on the budget ! After the shows and in between the shows the staff are always buzzing around cleaning and such. Yup, it is my wife's favourite screen time.

We had a birthday party for our son there. The fact that we could hook up a gaming system there was absolutely amazing. The children were blown away. The amazing part was we rented out out a whole theatre so they can all socially distance while still having a great time!!! Canyon Meadows is always a treat to come to! This is a fun theater, with late run movies. During the Halloween season they have a run of classic horror films bringing the big screen experience to some of my favorites. I don't think the price of tickets have ever changed either. 5 dollars. Where else can you see a movie for 5 dollars? I hope this little community theater is around for many years to come

Okay place to see movies that have been out for a while at a "cheaper" rate. Consider that you do get what you pay for though. This would be an old school type theatre, so like mid to late 90s style. Seats are obviously old and have lost their comfort. Place could be cleaner too. Some seats are just gross and lots of garbage left in the cup holders. As per every theatre the food/drink prices are absurd, but we all know this going in.

Canyon Meadows Cinemas is an older second-run cheap movie theater. Facilities are clean, staff was friendly and I will continue to bring my kids here. They had a pretty good selection of movies, good mix for kids and adults. Seats in auditorium 3 were older and smaller, my tail bone was sore by the end of the show. Box office closes and sometimes you need to go through the food line ups to purchase your movie tickets. While tickets are cheap $5, the food and drinks are as expensive as the rest of the theaters around here.

This cinema is a great place to go to watch a movie that is a few months past its opening. It is an old style cinema with good legroom and a flatter viewing area. The admission prices are much cheaper than the larger cinemas with the popcorn and snacks being somewhat cheaper. Cheaper admission on Tuesdays. A great place for mid week matinees.

Been coming here since I was a kid and have always loved it. Many fond memories are here seeing some of my favorite movies with some of my favorite people. You can't beat the price and even the concession is less expensive than a regular theatre. Yeah the seats aren't the latest or the decor the most exciting but it's still a treasure for cinema lovers and a wonderful place to take the whole gang without needing a loan ????

They do a good job of keeping the whole place clean. Pricing is great. I love that you can also put your name down for a poster if you want one after the movie leaves.

The "Cheap Seats". I grew up going here and now take my family here. The only way to see an affordable movie anymore is by coming to this theatre. The location is great and the prices are right. (Ticket wise at least, movie theatre food is always pricey).

Take the kids here often as the value for the no very is fantastic. If you don't have to see a movie right when it is released this is the way to go. As very affordable way to take the family out to a movie. The concession prices are reasonable considering how cheap it is to see a movie. Definitely recommend it.

I attended the Drive-in with my kids and loved it! Food was great! There were a few people that wouldn't turn off their lights even when the staff came and asked them to but it wasn't bad. I saw a post that said NONE of the parking crew were wearing masks, but that had to have been just a slip because the 3 that were out when we were in line ALL were wearing masks and only put hands in a car if it was to put food order numbers on the dashboards because it was raining and I imagine the wipers were preventing them from putting them on the windshield. When I took my son in to use the washroom and get more candy, there were no other customers inside and the staff seemed to only have masks pulled down if they were sitting and resting. I was actually impressed with their adherence to the "rules".

This is an inexpensive option to go to a movie theatre as long as you're not expecting the latest picture to be playing. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend. Just don't plan for the munchies to be inexpensive because the admission to the shows is. It's very much the opposite.

Great little theater, you can't beat the price! $5 each! While the property isn't as flashy as the new theatres it is still a big screen with reasonable sound quality. The staff are always friendly and easy going. It makes for a much cheaper night out with the family and in my experience the theater isn't nearly as busy as going to the Cineplex or Landmark theaters. That being said you don't get to see movies right when they're released, but to save a bunch of money it's worth waiting to see most movies at Canyon Meadows.

Oh they are getting Fancy in the cheap theaters! I already had my heart set on the classic popcorn combo but they are now offering a giant custom made soda bar, mini donuts, and a very interesting section of corn dogs to step up their game. Theaters are relatively clean, bathrooms very clean and spacious, consession was fast and the overall service was friendly and courteous. Will definitely return, great job folks! Keep theaters alive!

The movies are a nice decent price, however after the movie while waiting for my friends out side of the movie the manager (black haired lady Maybe mid 40 or 50s) told us to leave the theatre and said “that this is a place for people who payed.” After explaining that I just left the movie and that my friends wanted to catch the teasers that play after the credits, she then stormed into the movie theatre and chased them out of the theatre. I would advise that this place get a new manager because she was rude to not only us but all other views watching the movie. I believe that this place has great potential and is a great place to be to watch movies for a good price. I have been going to this place for years and am disappointed that the manager is ruining family’s experiences. As a last note I would like to mention that my friends and I did all in fact pay for a ticket and had every right to watch the whole movie including the end credits and teasers.

Classic discount theater. Cheap prices (made up a little bit with higher food prices) and smaller screens. Sometimes they get a cool movie that bypass the larger theaters and sometimes it's nice to take in a mainstream movie that you missed on first run. Recommended experience.

Besides the great price, this is a full on comfy big screen theatre. My wife would go there first on the popcorn alone. The seats are the old style with leg room, and comfort. you always have a choice of just run movies. If not being the first to see a movie does not bother you, this is the best place to catch one.

The seats are the usual seats without fancy recliners but it's what you expect for the cheap price. Would recommend this theatre if you are looking for a movie experience but don't want the crowd or expensive tickets.

This place is for families who have children. The theater isn't too big but has enough place for the children to wander if they want. It's not extremely clean but it's not too bad either. The most important part is it's very cheap, only $5 for one ticket.

My kids and I love the selection of movies that come to this theatre (and dad loves that all admissions are $5, lol). We have lots of fun and enjoy ourselves every time. The concession prices are fairly close to Cineplex's prices. One of the most wonderful parts about this theatre is that they have nights for children (possibly adults as well) that have disabilities that can go and watch a movie and not worry about talking or making noises. This has been wonderful on a couple accounts, with my son being part of the autistic spectrum, when he was younger especially.

Pretty decent place to see movies for cheap. The concession is not bad. Good place for kids. Not a lot of room between seats and can be pretty cramped for adults, but worth the price.

usually great service, popcorn is mostly decent, love the flavoring packs, they did or still do charge $1 for them. I don't like it but will support someone else being able to pay rent. auditoriums are usually clean. I've been here many times and plan on going many more. the kids working here are usually quite diligent and their customer service skills are good. spacious place too. fairly ample parking I'd say. but get there early so you dont have to walk from the tavern. :)

Everything was great with extremely cheap movie tickets. The concession???????? stand has a lot of options where they probably make back some of their money but will be much cheaper than any other cinemas. They have absolutely the best popcorn???? I've ever tasted and really great cotton candy and hotdogs.????The bathrooms are clean too. The seats are not that bad. We went to see The Eternals which is a 2 1/2 hour movie and it wasn't too bad. My partner is 6'4 with broad shoulders and he was a bit uncomfortable. We would definitely come back again. The movie tickets in total for two people together were $11 including taxes and fees. So that's $5.50 per person! You can not beat that price! ???? ????️

A affordable night out if you are on a tight budget. My only complaints are: 1) The seats can get uncomfortable after sitting in them for awhile as they don't recline. 2) The screen in our theatre was curved so images were distorted when viewing our movie. Hopefully they will be able to upgrade the seating to make it a better viewing experience.

Some people complain about the fact that the movies here are older, but I feel like that is made up for by the low admission prices. This is by far my favorite theatre in Calgary and I would recommend it 10/10

This movie theater is Calgary's best kept secret! This is a great place to catch second run movies for only $5. The staff and managers are friendly and the lines go very fast. This place has the best popcorn in town. Every time I go in it seems like new renovations have happened. There is new carpet, paint and bathrooms have been redone. It is an affordable place to go. If I go to a late show during the week there is only a couple of people in the theater. It is a great place to watch movies on the big screen.

We love it here. The staff is really friendly and genuinely care about the people coming to enjoy a movie. Lots of old and more recently they're getting films from festivals. We are super excited to see those!

So happy to have this gem near! Fantastic customer service. All the staff is nice but especially a lady named Joy. She has gone above and beyond for me and children on multiple occasions and is incredible at teaching her staff. The prices are incredible and the atmosphere inside is very comfortable and inviting. Seating is excellent, screens are large. Very good experience!! Not busy at all during the week...must go! Since discovering CM, we never go to full price theaters.

One of the best popcorns in the city. Clean theatre, friendly staff, great management, and great sound ! Very consistently pleased each time. Also super cheap- $20 gets you a movie and a combo. And I just recently used skip the dishes for popcorn... Highly recommended. I ordered it and 12 minutes later I had hot fresh popcorn at my door.

If you don’t mind waiting a few extra months or want to see a movie again in theatres, this is the place to go! Tickets are so incredibly cheap. Popcorn, pop and treats are regular movie theatre price but when you save on the tickets, it doesn’t seem to bad. Theatre is as clean as any other.

Sure the screens and sounds are old - BUT you can't beat the price for a night out! Especially if you have a gaggle of kids in tow. We love that you can order food/popcorn etc and make a movie night of your own at home. My only gripe with this is you have to wait in the main concession line to pick up your prepaid preorder - so make sure you time it so you are there between flicks.

More of a get in cheap, watch the movie and get out type of experience. The theater is older but clean. Bathrooms could use a little extra TLC but that's the case for most movie theaters. Bring a sweater it gets a little cold in the theaters. Overall decent and a good place to rewatch or catch up on a favourite movie before it comes out on DVD or streaming service.

I've been coming to this theatre for many years. The staff have always been great, the popcorn is (usually) the best in the city, and it comes at a great price. My only complaint is the parking. The theatre shares a parking lot with several popular businesses, so it can fill up very quickly. All in all, this is a great place to relax for a couple hours.

This is the best movie theatre in the city hands down. They bring in classic movies for summer and the holidays, the staff are always friendly, the prices are great, and the local pre-show commercials are funny and heartwarming. Highly recommend buying a Dirty Soda as well (Goonies and Jaws are the best)

The cost for two adults to see a movie was $10, I can't imagine finding a better deal these days. Downfalls would be no fancy reclining seats or 3D showings, so I would highly recommend this location if the movie you intend to see doesn't rely heavily on 3D effects.

Rented out a movie theatre for some team building with family time. Excellent service, we were able to have fun and physically distance. Would definitely recommend.
