Amazing seating - they are big and they recline! Theatres are a little small and on rare times you can hear sounds from adjacent theatres - but it's not common and only deep bass from certain movies. But, you can validate your parking and reserve your incredible seats online

The things that a movie theatre is responsible for - snacks, seats, screen and sound - are all superior at Landmark compared to Cineplex. Cineplex has decided to make their standard theatres worse (by dimming their projectors and reverting to plain stereo sound) in order to force people to pay $18 per person for AVX, while Landmark offers the same experience as the Cineplex VIP for $5 less with consistently not-burnt popcorn. I come back to Hamilton regularly from Toronto and wait to see movies until I can see them at Landmark!

Loving the recliner chairs! The cinema is generally kept very clean and the staff is always nice. I've even seen some incidents where there are rude customers who don't understand reserved seating means and a couple of people who have tried smoking inside the theatre. You guys have handled it very well, keep it up.

The mall it is in locks its doors early, so hard to get out, and on one occasion we couldn't get in, because of bad weather the theatre locked it's doors with no signs on how to get in, took us 45 minutes to find a way, if hadn't already purchased tickets would have gone elsewhere. By far the best movie theatre i have ever been too! They have a great selection of movies, awesome sound and staff, kept very clean, and great prices on popcorn and stuff! Watching movies has never been more comfortable with your friends and family thanks to their recliner seats. Superb comfy seats help make the experience more enjoyable as there is lots of leg room and plus the parents can sleep and the kids wont care while watching their movie! Love this place and will come here again, possibly for star wars episode X . Great for group gatherings too! There so much i could say about this place that i cant fit it into this review. It does not matter where you are sitting as everybody gets a comfortable and great viewing angle! Very satisfied and will definitely come again, way better than cineplex!

I remember coming here when it was the Famous Players. This movie theatre has definitely seen it's hey day when all the theatres about half of its capacity filled with people sitting in them. With most theatres equipped with stadium style seating, this theatre is a great throwback to the old-school seats. Elevation is had by the curve of the floor rather than steps like newer cinemas. More importantly, as Jackson Square goes through its "changes" this theatre is one of the last remaining original tenants. The price is great and sometimes if you catch it right, they have 2 for 1 coupons.

The seats are huge lazy boy recliners that are incredibly comfortable with lots of room around them. I used to feel a bit claustrophobic in a packed movie theatre but not at this one. Also the seats are all reserved which can be done ahead of time. I love knowing which seats I have before I even leave the house or sometimes I'll buy my tickets and reserve my seats right from my phone on the way to the cinema. The employees are accommodating and hospitable and most of them have been working there a long time which I think is a good sign. This is by far my favourite movie theatre!

Neat movie theatre with recliners! Certainly a unique movie watching experience and so comfortable. Only risk is that you might be too comfy and fall asleep. Bought ticket from a machine and didn't buy snacks so can't speak to their service, but it was quick and easy to get in.

Parking is free on weekends and after 6pm on weekdays. The place has the best seats in town, has all the big movies, just never the indie ones. Staff are very kind and helpful. This is my favorite theater in town, because of the recliner seats, and assigned seating.

Absolutely amazing. All screens have the reclining seats now and you don't pay a premium price. Free underground parking at Jackson Square if you enter and see a movie after 6pm. You just HAVE to validate your parking ticket in the theatre. We are huge movie buffs and see movies at least once a week. This theatre has completely, without question, replaced Cineplex for us. It plays the same movies, same price, better combos, better seats. If going on a Tuesday when General Admission is $6.99, I highly recommend purchasing your tickets online/in advanced. You get to select your seats regardless, but it's quite busy with it being so cheap. As of July 21st, 2016, renos are still being done on the concession stand so they do not have fountain pop, but have bottles of Coke products instead. This is not a set back. Screen size is also not as big as Cineplex, but they are digital and just as good quality. Once reno's are complete, this will be the ultimate theatre.

I have to say I absolutely love this theater the fact that they now have reserved seating as well as he's beautiful reclining chairs that you can sit back and just literally melt into and if you're going to see a movie with a person you can actually remove the divider between two seats to make it like a loveseat. And now that they use Atom as their ticket selling method for online purchases I can pre-order my ticket my food and everything I need take the express line and not even have to wait and it's so convenient the fact that this place is right downtown so every bus in the city actually goes there there's so much space you don't even have to worry about tripping over people's feet if you need to get up in the middle of the movie they really done a lot to bring this theater around and I'm glad they were able to do it and not raise the prices truly one of the best places in the city to catch a flick at a reasonable price

Hands down the best theater experience in the city. Listen, I get it, you're not used to going downtown. Maybe you're scared, maybe you can't be bothered, I'm not judging. But here's the thing, since they renovated this theater a few years back nothing else can compare. I'm relatively tall, are you relatively tall? I can scratch out my legs all the way and there's still a foot and a half to the next row of chairs. Comfortable lazy boy sitting than be converted to a love seat as the middle arm rest lfts up so you can cozy on up to a loved one. K last but not least, you know how when you go to Cinniplex and you get a combo, and the combo comes with candy? And then you want like fuzzy peaches but you can only pick from the top two rows and you get stuck with nibs? That never a thing, you get to chose from all the rows.

This place went down hill for a while but they did some substantial renovations and I now would recommend checking them out. You need to go though the mall to get in. There is underground parking or street parking. You need to go to the centre of the mall then head up a set of stairs to the entrance. I added some photo so you know were you are going. then after the show go out the doors at the top of the staircase and it puts you on top of Jackson Square its a magical place at night.

I have been ruined for movies anywhere else. Somehow Cineplex still convinces people to pay the exact same amount for what amounts to a padded bench compared to Landmark. Here I get a full sized reclining lazy boy with tons of space. even though the theatre is almost always packed and exciting to be in. Plus you pre-book your seats and just show up essentially, no more showing up early to claim seats in advance or paying extra for the privilege. It couldn't be easier. All for 12$. Figure it out Cineplex.

I was seriously all alone in the theatre which was pretty cool but also made me feel like the biggest dork. The chairs were beyond comfortable and the customer service was TOP NOTCH. The guy who got me my snacks gave me a whole extra cheese for my nachos when I asked for just a little more. Everyone was very pleasant.

Never been to another theater since! This place has change my moviegoing life for the better. The reclining seats are the absolute best chairs I've ever sat in at a theater, hands down.Even when fully reclined there is more than enough space for people to walk through the aisles for emergency popcorn or washroom visits. Each pair of chairs has a single armrest that can be lifted up for snuggles. You can practically lay down in each pair of chairs. VERY roomy. Highly recommend, obviously.

Great experience going to the theatre to watch Suicide Squad! The workers were super nice and the lady at the concession stand was super helpful. There was little to no one at the theatre so I watched the movie comfortably in the socially distanced seats. I like how the seats are spaced out, and the reclining seats are one of the best things about watching movies here! Super comfy, and can keep your feet up and recline. Food was delicious and movie was great! Highly recommend

My only hates with going to the movies is people shoving past me, kicking my seat and stealing my arm rest...making me feel uncomfortable and crowded. This place has used simple logic to bring me the comfort and space i need! Comfy seats, my own arm rest, no one kicking me, and no one blocking the screen! The only theater in Hamilton that we'll go to. We always reserve our seats online because we like to be close. We love the reclining seats, the spacious theatres and the sound quality is fantastic. If the movie isn't showing at Landmark, then it's not worth seeing. It's like watching a movie from from home, if home had such comfy seats.

Gotta say that almost everything about this place is PERFECT. Large, comfortable leather recliners mean that I will *never* go to a regular theatre again. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Floors and washrooms are clean. Concession food is overpriced, but it's overpriced at every cinema so I can't really fault it. Definitely five big stars.

This is the most comfortable theatre in the city. The seats are huge, they recline significantly, and there is ample space even for taller individuals. The price undercuts other theatres by a good margin, the front seats are not to close to the screen and the concessions are reasonably priced. 5/5.

First time going there today. Have to say good overall experience, place seems fairly clean. Staff are friendly enough, and the seats are amazing. Watching a movie in a lazyboy that reclines is a welcome change from close together seats and dealing with someone kicking your seat. My only Issue is the theatre rooms numbers arnt very bright and noticable. So we went to the wrong room, almost twice lol.

Amazing experiences... This is the only place we go to the movies now. From booking and organizing the night through the atom app which let's us pick our seats and order our snacks to bypass the lineups... to seating made for Kings... Large and roomy seats that fully recline and every seat is placed for an awesome view - we've been to over 30 movies and I have not yet been disappointed with the view from any seat we've had. And the leg room... Brought my mom who had a walker with her and it was right with her the whole time and didn't cause any issues with people walking down the aisles... No more stranger butts in your face as they walk past you to their seats. And the large popcorn and drinks are refillable... All of this and the prices are on par if not better than what the other movie theatres offer. So why pay more for less?

Wow! I went there after a year and what a surprise! They have recliner seats, not just in one screen, but all of their screens! The seats are comfy and rates are the same. Great upgrade, will always be my go-to theater now on.

Best worst kept secret in Hamilton. Landmark Cinemas is in my opinion the best theatre in Hamilton. The ticket prices are the best for first run theatres in the area, the business is clean and in good repair, sound and film quality is excellent, concession foods diverse and the popcorn is crispy and delicious. However the BEST feature of this theatre is it's Lazyboy style recliner seats! SoOOoo comfy. Easy travel access right off King and James St. stops and MacNab bus terminal, and they also validate your underground mall parking for a discount, and on Sunday parking is free with your validated movie ticket. My only personal bone to pick with this theatre is it's love of running horror movies (sometimes playing 3 out of 6 theatres at a time). I'm not a fan, but if you do like like horror, then this trait would be an asset for you.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. The chairs are almost too comfy, that it may make it difficult to stay awake if you go to the theatre tired. It really doesn't matter where you sit in the theatre, there is no such thing as a bad seat here. Ticket pricing is competitive, food is costly... but that is how the theatre makes its money, so I give it a pass. The screens, while not IMAX crazy size that we have all come used to, they are still bigger than what they used to be back in the day. And seriously, anyone complaining of the size.. what did you want them to do with the reno? Knock down half the building to make room for bigger screens? Short of that it is physically impossible for them to make the screens bigger. I am very pleased to have this gem close and accessible so I no longer need a vehicle to drive out of town to see an over-priced movie in crappy seats. All they need now is markers on the ground to help noobs find the damn place.

So we went to the movie just last night. Movie as awesome reclining chairs are to die for. Popcorn was fantastic. But withing 10 minutes of the movie starting my skin started feeling as though it was being attacked. I could notice my wife was uncomfortable after a while as well. I ended up finding a couple bugs on me once the lights came up. My wife had a couple bug bites on her too. It's going to be a long time till I go to this theater again. Shame though cause it's so much more comfortable than those other guys.

Perhaps the best hidden gem in the otherwise questionable Jackson Square. I will admit, when I first went here I didn't want to go only because it was at Jackson Square and the showing we were seeing was a bit later at night. That all changed once I found out parking underground was free with movie tickets, so right away I felt a bit better. When I got to the theatre itself, I was surprised. The fully reclining seats with removable arm rests were probably the best and most comfortable seats I've ever been in. What I also love, is that you can bring your own snacks and not get frowned upon. So, hop over to the rexall or dollerama before you go to the theatre and load up on snacks. All and all, I am totally taken aback at how well they did with this theatre and will for sure be going to see more shows there at a later date.

The theatres at Jackson Square are so much better since the renovations. It's our new favourite theatre in Hamilton. The reclining seats are very comfortable, and even when movies are sold out you don't feel crammed in like at other theatres.

I LOVE this theater. They have super comfy recliners and the rooms are very spacious so you can easily walk through the isle even when everyone's feet are up. The prices are much cheaper than Cineplex, for the movie tickets and the food. The staff are great. The only thing that sucks about this theater is there isn't free parking at this mall, but if you don't mind a short walk you can park at a fast food place nearby.

Who wouldn't like watching a movie while sitting on a LEATHER RECLINING LAZY BOY CHAIR and not having to worry about the idiots in front of you with the big head making it impossible for u to see the screen.

Literally no waiting in lines, no printing of tickets; just fantastic. - Extra roomy, extra comfy lazy boy leather electric recliners. So spacious, so comfortable. You can remove the armrests to make a large love seat, as the drink holders are on the outside/peripheral arms. - Friendly staff - Clean washrooms and theatres. In the few times I've gone, never has there been sticky drink residue on the floor of the theatre, for example. - All the best movies, with some one-time engagements. The best selection you can reasonably expect from a theatre this size. - Fantastic prices relative to value. $12.50 on regular days for all of the above, with deals on Tuesdays ($8.00 I believe) and Wednesdays. For the base price you can reserve wide reclining seats, something that blows Cineplex out of the water. Be warned however, due to licensing some films screening at Cineplex may not be screening at this location so bear that in mind.

This is one of my favourite places in Hamilton to go watch a movie. Every theatre has large reclining leather chairs that are extremely comfortable and can be "converted" into a 2 person seat by raising the center arm rest. The staff is excellent at calling out more tellers when the lines get long, and the theatres as well as the bathrooms are well maintained. Always a delight to take in a movie here!

Cheaper than Cineplex with large leather reclining seats with enough room to have your chair fully extended Infront of you and people can still walk by! Puts Cineplex's seating to shame. They have a lot of deal days as well as matinée pricing. The only downfalls to me not going there exclusively is their isn't a points program like scene, and the movie selection is sparce as well as the show times. I went to take my son to see goosebumps last night and would have went to landmark if they had later show times for it. So I ended up dishing out 50 bucks at Cineplex instead of 40 at landmark.

When we're in the for a movie in a cinema, this is our spot! There's friendly, conscientious, efficient service at the snack counter (the server explained how buying a combo saved over our original individual item choices). And then those cushy, reclining seats are so incredibly comfy, we'd almost (almost!) pay just 2 sit in them, without a movie! But we also really enjoyed our movie choice (Bohemian Rhapsody), so it was 100% a great experience.

I know everyone raves about the reclining seats and leg room and being 6'3" and over 250 lbs. I do too. I also appreciate the staff who help me out. When I'm walking with a cane and trying to carry my popcorn and drink I don't have to stress out about getting my ticket out and finding my seat because if you ask they will help you. Assigned seat also take away the stress of lines and rushing. They also have good deals for seniors and other offers to take advantage of. I buy the ten pack and get the 10% off the concession stand. So if you don't mind going downtown to Jackson Square this is the place for you.

Don't let the fact that it's nestled inside Jackson Square deter you from an amazing movie-going experience! The staff are friendly, the lines move quickly, and the space is clean. Instead of sitting in an average theatre seat, you get to sit in a plush leather recliner - they are so comfortable that if you go to a late show you might fall asleep! The theatre also offers free refills on large popcorns and large drinks - a major bonus! Instead of making the drive out to Ancaster or Stoney Creek to watch a movie, try Landmark! It's a luxurious experience that's well worth the trip.

The theater itself is very nice! The theaters are all decently sized, and the seats recline which is always nice when you watch a movie. Since you purchase the tickets ahead of time (either online, at an electronic booth, or at the concession stand), it's very easy to book the exact seats you want. The price for the food is about what you'd expect for a theater... still quite expensive in my opinion, but it's the price for movie theater popcorn. The lines move very quickly and the staff are very efficient. The washrooms and theaters are kept quite clean, and the custodial staff do a very good job between showings. Definitely my go-to theater now.

I was a silver city fan through and through but my friends wanted to try this out. I had been here as a kid but not since. Well, it is my new fave! You get a Full recliner, that goes all the way back, so comfortable! The popcorn is the best around, the price is cheaper for everything here, you even get parking validated here too (just Remeber to bring the ticket to the theatre with you or else you won't get the validation). You can also pre-book your seats and pay online for them. It's my new go to for movies

This theatre underwent a major renovation some time ago and is now awesome. The screens aren't quite as big as say silver city but they aren't tiny either. The best part though is the new seats. They now have power recliner seats which are very spacious. I am 6' 5" and with the seat fully reclined and my legs stretched right out people can still walk past to get to seats further down the isle. I now prefer this venue above all others in the city.

When being a disabled person it is hard to motivate with a walker when you should provide wheel chairs so disabled people can get to there seats and to the washrooms the isles are wide enough and but very steep to go down with a walker. Also, it is hard to get to your seat with a cane. And Getting to the movies is hard when the elevators aren't working. And carrying your walker is very hard to carry it up and dow the stairs. Plus u should have a escalator going down not only up. The movies are great once you finally get to your seats. I rate the movies five stars... Thanks for reading my rate.....

This is the best place to see a movie in Hamilton. There's not that many choices but if you're anywhere close to being downtown I would recommend this over the Cineplexes. The average seats are much more comfortable and the concession prices seem more reasonable. It's also not as much of a hassle if you have any service issues as the staff is very friendly.

DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE. If the website 'crashes' and says 'Unable to complete your ticket purchase, please try again' you will be DOUBLE CHARGED and they WILL NOT refund you. Instead, they will try to imply it was somehow your fault and offer you free passes instead of giving your money back. Absolutely unacceptable. In fact, it's theft. The seats are very comfortable, though. Will be back.

Putting in the reclining seats saved the whole enterprise if you ask me. Tuesdays is $6.99 admission! That's so cool! They also have coupons for events such as 'Kids Day' and I'm sure others I don't know about as I'm only interested in Kids day since I have kids. I love this place. I could spend all Tuesday checking each movie off the list. Even if I don't want to see the movie, just for the groovy ambiance.

Truthfully I'm a bit of a "cinema snob" - can't stand the seat-kickers, the texters, bad audio, small screens, stale popcorn, etc etc etc. I figure if you're gonna spend THAT MUCH money going to see a film in a public setting, then it better be worthwhile. And for whatever reason, the Jackson Square cinemas really do the trick for me. They are like a throw-back to the cinema-experience I remember growing-up... big theatres, big screens, excellent audio and decent leg-room to boot. It's never *too* busy but even when the theatre is near capacity it still feels roomy because of the size and decent leg-room that accompany the seats. As for the 2nd most important thing - the popcorn - I have never had bad popcorn here. They must be the most regular place for fresh popcorn, because it's always hot and super-tasty. My only beef isn't so much with what they do, but what I wish they'd do.... they need to play some cult-films there, do a "dusk-to-dawn" type event with a handful of awesome cult flicks. This is the sort of space that would be PERFECT for that kind of event. I appreciate that they do take part in some of the film festivals that Hamilton hosts, but seriously... consider it. How awesome would it be to watch some 80's zombie flicks at 11pm! You could do raffles and make a big ol' event out of it. I promise, if you promoted it you'd make a killing. Just a thought!

Went to a movie today and although I realize during the week customers have to pay partial parking I had no idea it would be that high. a two hour movie and we paid 7 F#*&&(* dollars! I could have gone to ciniplex, parked for free and bought popcorn instead. This is why Jackson square died so many years ago...ppl aren't made of money and can't afford parking rates, especially ones that high. Disgusting. Landmark should be more TRANSPARENT about what partial coverage means for parking rates.

Seats are super comfy and there is tons of space around you when you're watching the movie. The tickets are also typically cheaper than at other theaters and getting to pick your seats gives you peace of mind. But the concessions are pretty bad, even as far as movie theaters go. Would give 4.5 stars if I could.

Favourite theatre in the city! Literally refuse to go to the others anymore. If you haven't been since they renovated it, you really need to go. I've re-introduced at least 10 different people who all agree they don't want to go to any other theatre because the seats are so comfy, it's not usually packed, and overall it's just a way better movie-going experience. Love the seating, love the space, love that I'm not interrupted if someone has to move by me to their seat because there is so much room even if I'm fully reclined! Love that when I splurge for a large popcorn / drink they get refilled (Now that's a reason all by itself!!). Staff have always been great. it was my first time at a Landmark and I must say I'm a fan. I did not realize they offered free refills on large popcorn and drinks vs Cineplex's policy of no refills. The leather recliner seats are super comfortable and spacious. The recliners also come with extra cup holders, thus leading to more arm rest space. I wish there was a Landmark in my city. The quality, service, and experience is higher than competitors.

Since renovations, this is my favourite cinema to go to! No matter which theater you are in, they offer fully reclining, black leather seats with lots of room. You are also able to reserve which seats you want so buying tickets ahead of time is has its benefits. Only downside is when purchasing tickets, you aren't permitted to leave open seat between you and the next person so sometimes you can't get the seat you want.

New seats are a dream - best I've sat in anywhere I've ever been, and I've lived on five of the seven continents, in more countries than I can easily remember. Staff are lovely. Washrooms are clean. Concessions are fantastic. Location (right downtown) is convenient - beats taking the bus an hour (at least) each way, the "scenic" route - to get down to the Ancaster SilverCity location. ASC has Starbucks, a bookstore, and lots of restaurant neighbours, but so does Landmark Jackson Square. One of my top two cinemas in the world, and possibly my favourite, the other being CinemaCity in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

Great experience! Excellent price for movies and concessions. The real bonus at Landmark is the full recliners (powered) with plenty of space between rows - like being in a giant home theater! Excellent picture and sound. The theatre is nice and clean, even the bathrooms are good. Minimal staff on hand to help and you can only pay at the machine or online (which may or may not be an issue for you) so, when you use a gift certificate from Costco you have to get in the concession line to get your ticket? Also, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy at nights but they do validate parking (free) after 6 and you can park in the underground. Overall, love this place, choose this over Cineplex when I can (based on movie selection)!

Don't even bother going to Cineplex SilverCities anymore. For the same price as those dumps, Landmark has amazing power reclining leather seats that are well spaced apart from one another with tons of elbow room, clean theatre, great sound and picture. Their online ticket purchasing allows you to buy assigned seats so that there is no need to rush and come early to the theatre to get good seats.

This theatre has recliners! The way the seating is arranged, there is no such thing as a bad seat. I went here recently with some friends and there were almost no seats left. We got stuck with seats near the front, off to one side. Normally, this would have been a horrible location, but the layout of this theatre makes it so that everyone can easily see the entire screen and no one has to crane their neck. This is the best movie theatre I've ever been too! And they'll validate your parking ticket so that you can park in the parking garage for free too. Also, did I mention the recliners?

Favorite theatre, will never go to a Cineplex theatre again. This theatre is fairly priced, ACTUALLY clean, not overcrowded, ridiculously comfortable reclining seats(at least in some theatres) that you don't have to share an armrest with someone else. I like that you can order preassigned seating so you don't have to come hours early to get a decent seat too. The sound system in the theatres isn't overwhelming like Cineplex theatres are.

The recliners were extremely comfortable, the food prices I found actually a bit cheaper than the Cineplex theatres and the customer service was great! Also very clean and you can tell the staff take care of the recliners and clean them well, we will definitely be back! Also, you can park in secured underground parking, once you purchase your ticket you can authorize your parking ticket for free exit at the machine ($10 otherwise) :) Thanks Landmark Cinemas, for a wonderful first experience!

I really love the downtown Landmark Cinema in Jackson Square in Hamilton. They have big spacious reclining seats, all the staff that works there are always very friendly, and when we had a little bit of an issue today with not being able to use all three tickets that were purchased, they gladly refunded our third ticket for us no questions asked. People can go to the big cinemas up on Hamilton Mountain but I'm very happy to be able to walk downtown and see almost any first-run movie I want to. Plus their half price movies before noon is a brilliant idea

Their site says morning movies are $ 7.50 So I go to try and buy star wars tickets for tomorrow morning (10 am) and it's general admission price. I call them and they say star wars is restricted and not under that cheap movie price. Then I go and check for Tuesday and look Star Wars is $7.50 for cheap Tuesday. SO LAME.

Another enjoyable experience. I've only been 3 times in the past few years but every visit was positive. The seats are great, super comfortable like a "lazy boy". They are able to completely recline using push button motor operation, even the seats near the back wall. I could stretch out (6'1") which helped with a minor back tweak that acts up if I sit too long.I had no issues and the movie was two hours thirty minutes long. Underground well lit parking was free with ticket validation (machine inside lobby) which was good. Only negative was that food and drinks (water was ok) were not allowed in theater due to covid. Otherwise, great night out!

The cast member at the concession was so rude. She was not attentive to my requests. Apparently, i was too soft for her that she had to shout and say i was not audible. What I know about a good customer services and good manners is that when a person is not audible, you ask her to be loud in a polite language but it seems good customer service or politeness should not be expected at Landmark. I wish, I had noted her name. If required, I would go back to Landmark and get her name, only if Landmark is really interested in good customer service and penalising such people.

This place is my GO-TO for movies. The reclining lounge chairs are worth the price of admission alone (which I may add is comparable to Cineplex Theatres). Concessions are relatively on par for price and quality of what you would come to expect from a movie theater experience. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to sometimes not having all the new release movies...however this is possibly due to licensing or legal stuff so I try not to hold it against them, but if they dont show a movie I want to see, I go somewhere else...like anyone else would.

Best seating ever! I'm not sure if I'll go back to regular theaters. The seats are made in the of a larger recliner, and the isles are destined so that with the rest up some one can still pass by - no moving or squishing required. Tickets are self serve, there are 3 or 4 kiosks at the entrance where you buy your ticket which also requires you to choose your seat. There were fewer staff around when I went but still sufficient to keep the place looking and feeling clean. Next time I'll have to try the food.

Full credit goes to Landmark Cinemas for improving these theatres! Plush reclining seats, with a middle armrest that lifts so you can cuddle with your significant other... Clean laminate flooring... Cheaper concessions than the other major chain. It's downtown Hamilton and not noticeably signed from the outside (Jackson Square), and there still is room for improvement in the ticketing/concession area, but definitely worth the money!

The recliner seats are awesome, there's plenty of space between you and other movie goers, both in between seats and in front of you, even with the recliner extended out. The theatre is very well kept and there's also free parking under Jackson Square with the ticket scanner inside the theatre.

Time: 3PM. Movie: Avengers Infinity War. I'm downstairs purchasing a ticket for the 3PM movie at lunch time. The machine does not work properly and every time I move to pay for my ticket, I'm told payment is not accepted. I move to the next automated ticket machine to my left: Worked (finally). It's 2:45 now and I'm in the concession line waiting to purchase a drink for the movie. The floor is sticky, the area is poorly lit, there's no atmospheric music and staff have the demeanor of humans that resent being replaced by robots and give management every reason to finish the job (a likely consequence of a high turn over rate and hiring children over adults). There's a creepy 60-something year old disheveled man behind me that keeps peeking around my shoulder at the pre-teens infront of me and giving me this look like a dog asking for permission to eat a treat. The poor lighting does not lend well to this already uncomfortable situation. I'm at the concession counter now. No greeting. I'm not needy, but really, common courtesy is appreciated. I greet the concession staffer, place my order and holy crikey. A drink that costs half the price of admission. Well, at least they give me a free refill that I'll never use because I'll be damned if I'm going to get up during the movie to refill my drink. They know this and it's why they offer it. The poor guy cutting the tickets is constantly being bombarded by movie-goers with questions about the movies while trying to ensure the tickets are validated. It's an annoying distraction while I'm trying to get in to sit, but whatever. The theater is pretty full. I sit down in the recliner with my softdrink which is probably the best part of this entire experience. The seat reclines, but the foot rests have clearly seen better days. The rests do not raise level, so your legs are at an awkward angle while watching. I thought, "meh". The man next to me smells like beer at 3PM. I don't know if he's intoxicated. He seems friendly enough, so let's just watch the movie. It's an hour in and the movie is unfolding as it should when I smell something peculiar. I'd gotten used to the beer smell. This was not beer. I was clearly smelling the pungent odour of stinky feet. I turn to my right and low-and-behold, the beer man has no shoes on. What's more, he's asleep! I thought, maybe he wants to see the movie he paid to see. I've been exhausted in the theater before and wouldn't want to miss something I paid to see. So I nudge him to help him out. No response. Okay. I'm not pushing it. The movie ends with the beer feet sleeper completely oblivious to any of it. I couldn't be bothered sitting through the credits. As I'm leaving the theater, staff wander around like the lost souls in a post-apocalyptic drama. If this theater is losing money it's their own fault. People pay money for an experience. This was not an experience worth the price of my softdrink, much less the price of admission.

Amazing. The seats were so comfy with spacious leg room. The price was great for tickets and snacks. The only downside is that you do have to pay for parking depending on when your movie is. Its still worth it. I wont go back to Cineplex after seeing a movie here!

Woohoo! Used to be a junkyard but is now upgraded! They have cozy recliner couches to watch movies (saw some people bring a blanket). and you no longer have to get tickets from the upstairs counter, its a self-serve ticket set up now making it much faster to get in.

Love this theater! We go a couple times a month and it's so fairly priced and usually clean and comfortable! The staff are really nice too. Today somebody was sitting in our reserved seats and the theater was packed. We were kind of annoyed but the manager Sam was so sweet and really helpful in resolving the issue for us:)

This is the place to watch a movie. They're unlike traditional theatres. Every seat is a full-out reclining leather chair. You can lay back and watch a movie and get your space. No extra cost when compared to Cineplex

Great little theatre with recliner leather like seats. I sometimes take the kids and catch a little nap beside them. The only problem with this location is the parking. The parking under the mall is expensive and while they provide a discount if you validate your parking it is conplicated to validate and the rules about the discount seem to change everyday. Always frustrating. If parking was free reliably or the parking rules were posted I would go more often.

The chairs are huge and as a woman I dont need to be concerned even about putting my purse or coat anywhere as there is room beside me in the fully reclining seats. You can reserve your seat online ahead of time so no need to worry about getting there extra early.

Assigned seating. He biggest comfy recliner chairs you will have ever sat in at a theatre. Great for kids because they don't get stuck in the folding chairs. The iles between the seats are massive. Prices are fair and movie selection are current. I warn you if you ever go to this theater you will not want to go back to a Ciniplex theater.

Best place to watch movies with very comfortable reclining seats where you can pretty much lay down. They are paired in twos so you can relax with someone if you want or enjoy by yourself! The armrests are good and the middle one can be lifted if wanted. It has a spacious walkway especially if you need to get up during a movie you won't be causing others to have to move their seat to get by.

Took my little munchkins to their first ever movie and aside from being told to wait downstairs until closer to the movie time, the rest of the experience was alot of fun and excitement for the kids and I. Their leather reclining seats were great and lots of space for the 3 of us, and a huge variety of concessions to choose from. It's been a long time since even I have been to a movie, and I definitely will be bringing the munchkins to another one in the future:)

A very nice addition to Jackson Square Mall in downtown Hamilton. The cinema has been in this location since 1972 but was closed due to lack of business. With the renaissance happening in the city core, Landmark Cinemas purchased and totally revamped the 6 theatres. All seats are plush recliners with push button controls. I estimate 100 chairs per theatre. Seats may be chosen when booking online, at the ticket machines on the main level or at the concession stand on the second floor. Check in line for shows & times as well as the many specials available. There is underground parking so take your parking stub with you for discounted & occasionally free parking.(I believe it's free Sundays and some evenings after 6pm. There is no 'restaurant type food', burgers, fries, pizza etc but hot dogs and nachos have been recently added. The popcorn is freshly made and large popcorn & large pop is 'Refillable' just like Cineplex used to be years ago. The people are extremely friendly & helpful. If they had pizza I'd have given them 5*. I almost forgot to add this, when we went to see Pirates of The Caribbean today the concession stand gentleman asked if we wanted our buttered popcorn with the butter added a bit at a time so that it has butter all the way through & 'get this' he didn't ask for another dollar to do it!!! Cineplex could take some lessons.

Best theatre to go see a film in Hamilton. Seats are electric operated laZ boy style with plush pleather. You can seat on your own or put up the armrest to create a decking love seat. This is a great setup as there are NO bad seats. Even in the front. It’s also great since you can recline completely yet still have enough space for someone to walk by you. No more awkward jimmying around and shuffling to get by. Price is better than cineplex by far, for both entry and concession. Buy the 10 movies for $99 and it gives you 10% off concessions as well! Parking is free underground if you watch a movie after 5 and you validate parking in the theatre. No more scrambling for parking at a cineplex, no more walking outside in bad weather. No more waiting in lines outside. Best of all, you choose your seat ahead of time, at no additional cost! Only cons is that the staff do not clean the seats thoroughly between shows, so you’ll see popcorn in between the seats when sitting as a love seat. Bring a blanket if that bothers you.

This theatre has ensured that we will never go back to a Cineplex theatre again. Never crowded, pre-book your seats for free and doesn't nickel and dime you on movie tickets and concessions. It's super comfortable and stress free. This is really what going to the movies should be like. You're not packed in like a sardine and can enjoy the movie as if you were at home on the couch. Underground parking at Jackson Square is free, you can validate your ticket at the theatre. The middle armrests flip up should you want to get extra cozy. I also like that the concession stand is flexible and allows for substitutions at no charge. They don't charge extra for "premium" candy. Their deal days make it really affordable. My favourite place to watch a movie, hands down.

I would not even give it one start but only way to get to this point. Went a couple weekends ago theater was dirty popcorn all over the floor and washrooms were filthy. Went last weekend to see the new Spiderman movie only to wait in a long line for popcorn only to be told the movie was canceled got no reason why the movies was cancel and had to demand a refund they wanted to just give is tickets for another movie. There was nothing posted that the movie was canceled and clearly the management staff on that night did not have a clue to what they were doing they left those poor kids who were working to take the brunt of the angry customers. Not fair to our working youth. There were no apologies no sorry for the inconvenience. Not cool Landmark use to like your theaters

I love the electric black leather wide recliner seats with the arm that folds up so I can watch the movie with my hubby and maybe have a little snooze. I can pick my own seats, have my parking paid, and add my own butter for no extra cost. The bathrooms are good too. Always clean when I go there. Just park under the mall and take your ticket upstairs to get your parking taken care of. You can also get discount tickets with 2 popcorn and 2 pop for 35$ at Costco too. They always play new movies. Yay Landmark!

The most comfortable seats I've been in and I like being able to reserve the seat. But the seat I reserved did not recline. I switched to a different seat and told the attendant. There is a machine in the lobby that dispenses some kind of ice cream treat for $5.75. I felt like trying it. It took my money but gave me no treat. I told the attendant who did not know anything about it so I called the number on the machine. Within about 10 minutes I was sent a screenshot that said the money was refunded to me.

I love this theatre ... I’ve spent a lot of time there since the renos. The seating is awesome, spacious and the Sunday morning movie is a great price. The staff is also great. The reason for my two star review is that this morning while seeing Black Panther (Feb. 25, Theatre 3, 10:45 am) there was a mouse ... yep a mouse. It went under our seats and then it was spotted running up the isle. That makes me really irked about eating things from this location. I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised about a mouse in downtown Hamilton, but that’s not a guest you want around your food.

We went to the movies to get out of the heat then spent the whole movie sweating because it was so hot. Additionally the elevator was out of service and it would have been nice if the app or website notified us so we didnt have to carry a stroller up and down all those stairs.

Found within Jackson Square Mall, directly across from Rexall Pharmacy. Super easy to purchase online tickets to ensure your preferred seating! My family and I really enjoy their reclining La-Z-Boy like lounge chairs! I mean they can recline to the point of lying down to catch a flick❤❤❤ Each recliner is equipt with its very own cup holder, and comfortably, cushioned seats! This is the only way I go to the movies now lol! They also have great Tuesday discounted movie pricing! The only down side is the parking! Even with the discount offered through the theatre I still had to pay $8 for underground parking! I mean this mall is desperate for consumers and the parking issues have always been a part of that issue! **If you're okay with a little bit of a walk and your timing is right you could always park across from the Hamilton Farmer's market, make a small or Large purchase (coffee, canned drink, candy for later ????) at one of the vendors in the market, ask to get your parking ticket validated with a stamp and that will get you 1 HR free parking to save a bit of $ ????

I've been here many times for various movies both with and without my kids. This would've been 4 stars but more than once I've been in the theatre and it's been disgustingly sticky and one occasion I got to spend nearly 3 hours directly below a pipe that was leaking. Our entire row had water on the floor and I spent the entire movie being dripped on.

Was at the theatre tonight it was not accessible for people with disabilities... The elevator was closed off had to walk across the roof to get an elevator to get down. There were no signs posted and they refused to have security reverse the escalator so my mom could get down. Very disappointing. They said it will be fixed next week

Like others have mentioned, the seating cannot be stressed anough. Automatic reclining chairs that adjust to any position you like. Even when fully reclined, tyhere is enough room to pass in the aisle. Clean and well maintained.
