I come here to see the VFF movies and the odd screening of a film I can't see anywhere else. The screen sits lower than even the seats that are furthest in the back. Good local eats and booze for those who like a little party while they're at the movies.

The best place in town to watch independent films. Art house cinema atmosphere with a great selection of local beer, wine & cheese makes it even better (the only licensed Theatre in Victoria!). Need to try that famous organic coconut oil popcorn!

Licenced theatre with a penchant for the unique, obscure, and wonderful. Only one show a night, pop on their social media to find out what's playing. Grab a bomber and relax in broad seats that recline (possibly a bit too far).

This place is without a doubt, the most charming movie theatre I've been to. I decided to catch a showing of 'The Tale of Princess Kaguya' on a whim, and I'm really glad I did. The staff and my fellow patrons were both conscientious and polite, the popcorn was perfect, the drink selection was great, and the ambience is something that bigger establishments are going to struggle to replicate. Oh, and as a bonus, the staff also saw fit to play short, awesome, TED Talks instead of the awful commercials for real estate and liposuction that precede movies at a lot of places here in the United States. As a trifle, the seats were a little uncomfortable, but not in a way that interfered with my experience. Needless to say, I'll definitely coming back for another show, should I ever find myself in Victoria again.

I love this movie theater! Just this weekend on Saturday evening, I went to a short documentary film festival on Saturday night, and all of the movies were educational and with a very powerful environmental message. Movies here are deeply meaningful and I have never regretted the long drive from North Saanich to downtown to see one of their carefully selected movies. All the staff is super nice! And now there is a coffee truck parked outside to take a nice espresso coffee drink into the movie with you!

A classy theatre that always has a selection of movies that will speak to you, from classics to new movies that will touch your heart. It's clear that the people who run this place really care about what they put forth. The popcorn is popped in coconut oil, which is probably the most delicious thing ever. Absolutely recommend going - try to catch a sing along if you can! The energy is fabulous.

I love the Vic Theatre. It's as old school as you can get, but that's what makes it so charming. It's conveniently located in downtown Victoria and offers a fantastic array of mostly independent films you won't see anywhere else.

It's only movie theatre where I can drink a beer and watch a film. They've got organic coconut oil popcorn and nice independent films. Great events take place there, like the Sing along films, where you sing along films like the Sound of Music. Nice friendly service.

Enjoyed the Canadian Premiere of "River Road" here on Saturday night. It was fun to see the actors and crew on the red carpet. The theater was comfortable. Adult refreshments as well as popcorn and the usual movie snacks. Felt safe as Covid protocol was followed. It was fun to feel like things will eventually get back to normal.

The theater has set 50 seats well apart from each other and allows preselection. The films are well chosen for a great variety. Popcorn and snacks are reasonably priced, locally produced sodas add lots of choice. Wine is available as well. This company gives real value for your time and money.

Pre covid I used to go to the cinema every two weeks or so. This was my first time back since before covid and I love every second of it. I love a small theater and this was no exception (my first time here as I only just moved to Victoria) and I will deffinetly be back again. The people behind the counter were so much fun and they have social distancing in place as well still for those who are still very conscious.

Excellent sound and screen projection quality!!! It was my first time to see a special screening of a Telugu movie (for those familiar India's booming blockbuster movie market!). The seating is first rate and loved the snacks and drinks options to enjoy the experience. Because this is mostly a 19 above movie theater, they are able to serve alcohol). I will confess that I enjoyed this movie theater experience better than the other two movies theaters in town..I look forward to exploring more of the wonderful world of the downtown Vic theater.
