You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is really good, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the evaluation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
I enjoy the Scotiabank Theatre in downtown Vancouver. It is near my place and it is nice to relax and watch a movie while eating popcorn. I enjoy the free water as well.
17 dollars for an experience with almost no staff on the top floor and this on the screen. Asked staff for support - told we’ll see if the issue is still present when the movie is supposed to start, and that the managers are aware. Seriously?
Social distancing worked well when we went recently. Everyone was a comfortable distance away. Staff seem friendly and efficient. It was good to be back in a movie theatre again. I'm looking forward to when we can lift the restrictions and have full theatres again.
Covid checking protocols are a joke. You have a 20 minutes line-up to "check" on covid passes at the entrance and you dont even scan the qrs ? Anyone could print whatever they want, you're wasting everyone's time for the illusion of safety, good job.
I emailed Cineplex support (GSC0291471) to ask for a refund a day before the showing as I had COVID. I got an automated message saying someone would reach out shortly. 11 days has passed and I have followed up twice via email and have had no response. Truly a pathetic customer service
Tuesdays are cheaper. DBox seats and popcorn are not worth the price, but I do recommend the poutine. Concession and washrooms on both levels. Friendly employees, good service.
Seats are not the most comfortable, and one of the cashier wasn’t the most friendly one. There are also homeless people outside of the building, sleeping in the cold. Tried to reach out some resources but it was late night and didn’t work really. I hope the building manager can reach out to some outreach services to help those who’re homeless and sleeping outside.
Staff are always friendly and theatres are cleaned fairly well (I have had a couple experiences where the theatre was gross, but since COVID it has been quite good).
Always nice to go in that specific theater
Crazy food prices and a complete lack of courtesy parking make this an unappealing choice of theatre, though they do have 9 screens and a lot of showtimes
The theatre isn't what I expected compared to the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto. Was surprised they didn't serve alcohol anywhere too. Movie theatre itself is avarage nothing special. Also bought my first Debox seat recently and my chair was broken. Arm rest fell right off at start of movie and the seat vibrated every 30sec even when turn off. Is that supposed to happen? Anyways won't be buying Debox ever again. Lots of people on phones throughout movies I've seen there too which is awful. Even seen a guy take multiple flash photography pictures.
Convenient dt, staff r much better than marine drive cineplex. Only 3 movies r showing tho.....
Scotiabank Theatre is efficient. That’s about all I can say about it though. It’s not that it’s particularly uncomfortable, or worn, or anything like that, it’s that I’ve genuinely been spoiled by the Platinum/VIP treatment of movie theatres in Mexico City that by comparison have far more to offer for far less. And before anyone slams me for comparing distinct economies, just know that the costs of food and operation have really caught up between both cities. So no Cineplex, you do not get a free pass. Half off Tuesdays are great, but I am genuinely finding it difficult to justify going much these days. I love movies, I love the movie theatre experience, but I feel like if I’m going to leave the comfort of my home and it’s big screen smart TV, you guys need to level up the experience for either the existing prices or only a teensy bit more, rather than a lot more. Haven’t tried your VIP experience yet in the south end of Vancouver, but that’s what I have to say for now.
I quite enjoy this theatre, nice and safe spacing for COVID.
Watched movie here twice so far, and the theatre is nice. Toilets are old though, and might need a few fixes here and there, but it is generally clean. The movie house is good, seats are comfy and each theatre's capacity is adequate. They also have that cool theatre where the sides are also screens (forgot what it's called), so you get to watch the movie with feeling that you are in it, more immersive experience.
Comfortable seats. Great sound and projection. I just wish I could buy a cup of coffee. Not everyone wants fizzy drinks and popcorn.
This movie theatre is in heart of downtown Vancouver, enjoyed watching Spider man !
Big theatre, lots of screens. Excellent location. No open concession on the second floor but what can ya do. Clean theatres and prompt showings. Cineplex knows what they do and they do it well.
Accidentally bought the tickets for the wrong cineplex. We noticed the mistake when talking to a staff member. She sent us to the ticket booth downstairs. When we arrived she knew about us already and gave us a full refund. We purchased the right tickets and we’re good to go. I am still overwhelmed how convenient this was. Thanks cineplex ????
Nice theater, clean premises, overall good experience. Nonetheless, the seats are not very comfortable, and it should be easy to implement a system where you can choose your seat, so you can avoid getting there half an hour in advance just to get your preferred seats (in my case, the exact center of the auditorium). I like this theater, but I am giving them 3 stars in the hope that they will improve.
Typical movie theater. Not very crowded and assigned seating. Quite covid safe..
Abbotsford doesn't have D-box. So, I just wanted to experience it. And I must say it was nice.
It is a great place to see movies and spend time. Have been there for a couple of times
Conveniently located. Multiple (~10) screens with variety of choices of viewing format. Seats are comfy. Snacks and popcorn variety could have been better but seems its an impact due to covid. Sometimes the escalator breaks down but you got an elevator to take you up 2 floors. Staff are real courteous and hats off to them for following all the covid precautions to the T.
Movie theatre is very enjoyable. Tickets tend to sell out fast due to location Staff were very friendly and washrooms very clean. Really appreciate the theatre
I'm a relentless movie nerd, and like to go see a feature film at least once a week, but I can't keep going to the Scotiabank Theatre. The bulb may need to be replaced, the settings may be off, or the booth window might need to be cleaned. I suspect that they're not changing the settings between 3D and 2D movies, either because they're too lazy, or perhaps just too incompetent. Whatever the reason, the movies are so dim that dark scenes are completely obscured, and even bright outdoor scenes are muddy and unfocused. I recently watched 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' in Screen X and 'Dune' (2021) in Standard, and they were both so dark I may as well have had sunglasses on in the theatre. From now on, I'll have to wait for second and third runs at smaller cinemas, where they at least know how to do their job.
Very clean theatre. It's what you would expect from a theatre. We came here on a Tuesday afternoon to watch shang Chi and it was quiet but we appreciated this.
A well-built entertainment facility by Cineplex in the heart of down town Vancouver. An underground paid parking is available also. ???? It holds 9 Screen(s), 2 DBOX Screen(s), 2 UltraAVX Screen(s), 6 (3D) Screen(s), & ScreenX all in 2 floors. You cab buy tickets online and you’ll have some membership perks. ???? You have access to snacks and drinks. But, if price matters to you, the stuff is not cheap inside. Almost all the blockbuster movies are shown here. The seats are comfortable with good armrests. You’ll choose your seats online and no confusion is there. Price: D-BOX DBOX AVX General (14-64)- $24.75 DBOX AVX Senior (65+)- $21 DBOX AVX Child (3-13)- 20.25 Standard ScreenX General (14-64)- $19.05 ScreenX SR (65+)- $15.30 ScreenX Child (3-13)- $14.55 General (14-64) (AVX)- $17.1 Senior (65+) (AVX)- $13.35 Child (3-13) (AVX)- 12.60 Regular General Admit- $14.25 Senior (65+)- $10.5 Child (3-13)- $9.75 ⛳️ Reading Tickets might be confusing. I uploaded a ticket with red & green circles helping how to find your saloon and chair numbers. In general, you’ll enjoy the atmosphere and its a good experience!
Went to watch Shang-Chi today, the theatre was very well maintained and were following the right protocols.
Great movie theatre in the heart of downtown!
Your SCENE card with Scotia is a best way to pay for 2x or 5x points. Don’t forget to fill complimentary butter if you get the popcorn.
Great movie theater in centre Vancouver. Staff was friendly. The rooms are big. Concession prices are a little bit overpriced. Had a great time watching a movie after a long time without visiting a movie theater due to the pandemic.
The vip is cool and the view is great so high up haha
Went for the 4D experience and it was decent. Don't have another 4D experience to compare to. Theater was clean and seats were comfortable.
I was a little disappointed with the old style of seats still being used. But as for seeing Venom 2 in 3D it was awesome!
Delicious nap, really comfortable seats. A little bit cold I wonder if they should close the door because cold air from outside gets right into the theatre.
The seats need to be renewed as they don't hold their shape anymore. Pretty uncomfortable. No freshly baked popcorn with caramel available, only packaged.
The reason WHY is because WE are aware you don't make money with the movies but with CONCESSION sales BUT I got disgusted when a MANAGER was charging my BF for every single product instead of giving him COMBO 2 which gives me bonus points plus 2 digital movies. Once I came back from the washroom the transaction was done and manager looked at me like YOU ARE LATE. Nasty way of charging 40cad for a combo without candies and nothing else .....
This place is a go-to for new commercial movies. They have everything you'd want in terms of consessions and the theater itself is clean and enjoyable. The seats are fairly small though and the popcorn (poptopia) is consistently stale.
Nice to be back after a long absence. Go and treat yourself to a movie.
Cinema was clean and personnel was kind throughout our experience. Felt secure and welcomed.
We had a difficulty with the tickets. The manager met us right at the theater door to resolve the issue. I was so impressed. Thank you Linda. ;)
Great shows and service, SCENE program is a huge benefit especially for students who want to save money
Lots of show times and it's nice having multi levels because it makes things less crowded. Generally pretty clean by movie theater standards
I have been to many IMAX in the US but I was shocked by how amazing UltraAVX with Dolby Atmos was! Watched Dune there and it blew my mind, the audio was the best and the seats vibration were on point!
Went to see Dune. Bought popcorn which was piled high which I promptly spilled at the counter which they kindly refilled w/o charge. Movie screen and seats were great!
Must try a 3D movie here. That is just an awesome, out of the world experience. I watched venom and it amazing. Seats shake with the sync of movie and along with the 3D glasses, the movie gets really real. Have fun!
Drove all the way from West Van to watch a movie in the “ScreenX” theatre that was advertised as per picture. It’s a complete hoax and nothing like what they advertise at all. It’s a complete fake!!! Basically their exact theatre with some low quality resolution projector that project some low resolution images sporadically throughout the movie. It’s a total waste of time and money and a pathetic attempt and deceptive advertising.
We bought a 3D with those pro seats!!! The 3D feature was disappointing!! Even some people left and some went to tell staff! For 10minutes the screen was completely blur and we have to take off our glasses. Even after they adjust it, it was completely blur and we couldn’t enjoy the movie at all!!! Very bad choice. The sound was okay but I definitely suggest to get a regular ticket instead of 3D ones!
went there to watch spider man in 3d it was very bad experience no reclining chairs, no social distancing, no gaps in the seats from other public, i would give zero star for whole experience. it was waste of time of money. my neck is still hurting
i enjoy this theatre very much , washrooms cleans seats are comfortable and also food is good.
I have watched several movies at this place and my experience has been amazing everytime. Theater's are not always packep up.. that's a good thing ????
Horrible staff, walked in with my friend and an asian employee scanned my tickets, then completely turned to my friend (who was off to the side somewhere not even paying attention to us )to explain to her and only her where the movie room for our movie was and for her to enjoy the show. Completely ignoring me and making a point to ignore me too. If you hire people like this then cineplex shouldn't be considered a business. He needs to be fired if he cannot do the basics of his job, which is to show respect to the customers and have basic manners. I didnt catch the name tag but i hope management sees this and takes appropriate action
Nice, comfortable seats. Good sound and screen.
Just love the self serve kiosk to get ticket. And the seat selection option is great. Lots of selections for beverages and of course there’s the popcorn.... great popcorn. This is a great place to watch the latest and greatest.
Great place for watching a movie a lot more eats to take from and its prices are high but I feel that the choices are better and the quality of fast food is pleasant. I saw " Avengers Endgame" a few days ago with my friends. A little bit expansive by it's deserving it. The seats are comfortable.
Great overall experience! The AVX was an added bonus!
Old seating should be renewed. Its not like you didn't have enough time for that. Nachos & Hot Dog are okay, not more. The staff was nice.
If you want to Not see your movie and Not get a refund, this is the movie theatre for you!!? So, we bought 3 tickets with a gift card for Free Guy and we showed up and they said that the projector is broken and we cannot see the movie! But we get a refund. No refund and it's been a week. So we bought tickets again!
Heavy on blockbuster movies. Very nice theatre to watch a show
Great place to see a movie. Felt covid safe for sure.
One if our favorite theaters in Van. Pretty good quality so far no complaints ????
Seats are pretty dirty. They look like they haven’t been cleaned since the theatre opened
Huge theatre.. loved the place. Well maintained.
Really nice to see movies for free thanks to the scene card
Went to watch "Old" and it was great they take the social distancing very serious and the theater was so clean along with the washrooms. I highly recommend catching your next flick at this theatre. ????????
Such a weird set-up. I didn't know there was a fro-yo option until after my movie. The box office staff was very friendly. The concession staff were all scattered, only one working on their till while the others just stood at theirs. Eventually one called over a customer. After getting my concession I walked past a manager in the lobby just talking to a staff member. It was mind boggling that they were just standing around talking while the staff were doing the same thing, so the management and staff didn't really address the idea that customers are waiting to buy stuff.
I accidentally purchased tickets for the wrong date and have been trying to contact them since yesterday for hours before the movie started. Now I’m getting emails asking how I enjoyed the show that I never went too. The number listed here hangs up immediately and I’ve received no email back from the ticketing guest services. So far- bad experience
Three stories with screens on the 2nd and 3rd floors, concessions on same. Clean, lots of dining space, small arcade, but the seats are a little skinny and uncomfortable.
Bought tickets for the wrong date and was told by one of the employees that they will send it off to guest services to process my refund. It’s been two weeks and I still have not received my refund. I emailed guest services directly and they didn’t respond either.
