this little gem in Hope BC brings back the days of your youth when going to a movie was a big deal...a pristine example of what a movie theater should be...you can tell that the owner is proud, the cleanliness and attention to detail shines....and the popcorn is the best

A great local theatre option. The titles are sometimes new release and others a little behind, but it's terrific to have a theatre in a small town. I love it. The only things I would change involve the timing. For those of us who have to get up early a 7:30 start time is a bit late. Also, they often don't start on time, but wait for the line up to end at the concession, so many people come late, which exacerbates the problem. A 7:30 start time should mean the movie starts at 7:30. People would get used to that and come earlier.

Love this little gem, don't go their often, but always enjoy the show when i do. My only problem with it is when i first move to Hope in 2001, there were two showing per day. One at noon and one at night and i think it was open every day.. Now it is only nights and only Friday sat sun and Tuesday nights... that's sorta lame... and forces me to go to Chilliwack more regularly just to see a show. Hence the minus one star. There is no issue with the theater itself IMO, i love it there, i just wish Kevin was more flexible with the open hours. I know the films themselves that he has to pay for to show us cost a lot, like thousands.. so it truly confuses me as to why he isn't open as often as humanly possible.... Then again i don't know Kevin that well and i do not know if he has other businesses or work. He keeps his theater very clean and up to date with the most modern tech when able, cannot ask much more from him other then to be open more ;) so Thank you Kev, for keepin a beautiful piece of Hope's history alive. It really is a wonderful place to go.

Decent cinema, the snacks are overpriced(of course) and seating that could be better on busy days. But the film quality is fine, nothing to complain about really.

Nice little theater. They've got the best popcorn of any movie theater anywhere and the butter is free. Only one movie a week on select days but much appreciated for our small town.

A good theatre to watch movies at if you want to see things just before they come out on Bluray, they only play one movie per night, and only Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. You will get a much better experience from Galaxy Cinema in Chilliwack any day of the week, the drive is worth the money.

Ok, talk about flashback! This place is awesome, A Historic Cinema nestled in the quaint town of Hope, the new owner is doing a great job with this place. I am looking forward to when I can go back. So glad he was able to air “The Alpinist” for the Fraser Valley Climbing society. Seats are comfy, the picture was very clear and the dolby sound was perfect. They had a very good selection of candy and food. Their popcorn was delicious!

My favorite small town movie theater! Excellent modern screen and sound quality in a historic theater setting. Staff is always very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Prices are affordable, both for the tickets and at the snack bar. I highly recommend visiting for the experience; it's a great chance to support local business! One suggestion though: if you visit in winter, you may want to bring a blanket to cuddle up under! :)

Large digital screen and amazing sound system, love the popcorn and snacks, very reasonable prices and lots of seating. Once a month on Thursday they have the Hope movie club showing a classic movie from the past. Some real blockbusters and some cult classics! They even team up with the local restaurant down the block for a dinner based in a theme of the movie for the Movie clubs show. Makes for a great date night, dinner and movie what could be better!

Consistently showing kindness and the very best service!!! My 11 year old daughter has gone in several times lately for late night movie popcorn and always comes back to the car saying "he's so nice mom, he doesn't treat me like a little kid but an actual person!" I'm so grateful to have such a gem in our little town and highly recommend going to see your next movie here!

A great little theatre in a small town setting... just like when I was a kid. Great seats, the latest AV equipment & terrific people. They even have a monthly retro film club showing each month! There's not that many of these little theatres left... get out & support your local independent cinema!

Wow, im suprised such a classy theater exists in such a small town. Its hardly ever packed so you can always get a good seat. Theres only one movie screen and they seem to play all the current movies the big cinemas have. The only thing that kind of sucks is its cash only, but theres a cibc atm right across the street.
