I went to watch Lion King (Whooop) like all the other 90's kids. (Movie was very good btw -you should watch it!). Anyways, upon entering the movie theatre they had a clean environment, a little bit of a line up but nothing crazy. The staff were quick and efficent at moving through the lines. My cashier was very friendly and kind, I appreciate that but I bought a $4 to 5 dollar (not 100% on price) fountain drink and it was watered down :/ I didn't notice until I had sat down in the theatre, I shouldn't have to much sugar anyways but still it kind of sucked lol.

Needs to be updated. We don't get a lot of new movies that are on the popular side, usually have to drive to Kelowna for that. Some of the staff are good but most don't seem to enjoy their job. Last time my husband and I went there we over heard one guy behind the desk say "Oh don't worry, I got nothing better to do. I'm here till 11:30 every freaking night." And he was super sarcastic.

I would give zero stars if possible. I was physically assaulted in front of the manager after I complained about an aggressive customer. The manager REFUSED TO CALL THE POLICE when I asked him to. Because of the terrible management here, the person who attacked me escaped. I will never come back here because I cannot feel safe with such ineffectual, awful people in charge!

Enough with the 3D! Want to take the kids to a new movie and there is one lousy inconvenient time in 2D and 3 other decent showtimes in 3D. Most people don't want the 3D. Stop squeezing an extra 3 dollars out of people for something they don't want! The theatre and staff are great... We just don't like the 3D option being stuffed down our throat! For my son's Birthday party I am paying an extra $30 for 3D we really don't want. Kids hate those dumb glasses.

Drove from Lake Country to see Deadpool. Invited all my friends. Made sure to check online to see if Deadpool was being shown with Closed Captions, since my fiancee needs those to understand the movie. It was posted online as such so we went. On arrival we were told that Deadpool was in Auditorium #4 and that was the only one that didn't support closed captions due to their device not being able to connect there. Quite sad about it and didn't want to sit through the movie with my fiancee not being able to understand what's going on so we asked what we could do about it. They offered her a refund for her ticket only but would then have to kick her out. I went with her and we both got a refund. Left our friends behind to enjoy the movie. Two weeks later the movie is still playing in auditorium #4... we've been patient but I guess we'll have to go elsewhere. This used to be my favorite theater in the Okanagan.

A nice movie theater with all of the amenities you would expect, but for whatever reason they will not play some new releases that most theaters in other cities would. Instead they keep playing the same ones for weeks on end. It's got to be a revenue thing, but it's annoying. I wanted to watch HAIL, CEASAR! and The big short, both very popular movies, but like most of the new releases that aren't for children, it won't get shown.

Just got back home on mother's day from seeing Detective Pikachu in 3D. The movie starts and is blurry with your 3D glasses on. So we tell the theater staff and they supposably fix it but it still was blurry but a little less. The worst 3D I have ever been to. I grew up watching them in the 70's and 80's.

Our first time there. Entrance into the parking lot is an experience as is exiting. During our visit the kiosk's were down. Seating was pretty comfortable and the restrooms were ample and clean.

A good theatre for the size of Vernon. They get in all the major movies. The staff are all quite young. The are helpful, efficient, and have a good attitude. The place is clean and the theaters are comfortable. Sometimes I find the sound a touch too high but I haven't heard anyone else complain about that so maybe it's just me. Minus 1 star for the online experience. No refunds no matter what. If something goes wrong during the purchase the online support is atrocious. Also evey once and a while online purchases stop working. I've had experience where multiple friends, from different locations in town, for the same movie would get errors trying to purchase online. Online support instead of helping, or taking the purchase manually, just took the time to argue there was nothing wrong with the system. They also can't seem to make up their minds if you have to print the tickets or you can show the barcode on your mobile device. Even the staff seem divided on this point. I recommend killing a tree and printing your ticket just to be safe. When it does work though it's quite convenient to purchase and print at home.

I watched Mission Impossible: Fallout for FREE (redeemed 1,500 SCENE points for the PRIME ticket and an additional 1,000 SCENE points for the Large Pop and Popcorn combo). I booked my ticket on the Cineplex app ahead of time and picked up my ticket at the kiosk upon arrival. I arrived 45 minutes before the show started (around 9PM) and there wasn't any lineups at the concession. While I wasn't sure of the correct terminology to use to refer to the previously mentioned food combo, the female trainee understood exactly what I wanted and was very kind and professional. Within 5 minutes, I had my ticket and food in hand. Closer to showtime, a different female employee that was verifying tickets took the initiative to inform myself and other guests that were waiting in the seating area that the auditorium was open and we were welcome to go inside once we were ready. My experience was excellent because of the staff. Because I feel valued as a customer, I continually return to this theatre.

We had one of our children's birthday here. Super friendly staff and we thought it was a great deal. A good way to have a low key birthday with little planning and effort. We got the reserved seating, popcorn drink and candy.

Watched Fantastic Beasts here recently, it was pretty good. If I had known this place was also a sauna I would have dressed appropriately. The extra charge for butter is disturbing. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover they have flavoured seasoning packets for your popcorn. I recommend combining dill pickle with cheddar- it makes up for the lack of butter.... although it ends up costing the same.

Reaffirming the reasons why I don't go to Cinaplex. Years ago they stopped offering complimentary refills on popcorn. For an avid movie goer, this is a part of enjoying the whole 'theatre' experience, especially for the price paid. The popcorn quality was quite poor, as it always was. 22 minutes of commercials?! Overloaded with commercials, to the point of being ridiculous, it's an entertainment business capitalizing on profit over consumer enjoyment, obviously they need to as there were no more than 10 people at that particular showing. The final factor was the volume - uterlery painful. Seriously, I had to cover my ears on several occasions as the sound level hurt my ears. Not sure how the young kids felt about it, and this was an animated show (Missing Link). First time in 4+ years since going to a Cineplex - it will NEVER happen again.

Prices are outrageous. I know this more of a company wide issue but I do not visit Galaxy often if at all anymore due to the costs. I do go once in a blue moon though and when I do I always tend to have a positive experience. Lines are cleared quickly and the facilities are generally quite clean, popcorn always tastes great and there's a large assortment of other snacks and such to choose from. Really Galaxy cinemas does do quite a good job, but last time I went I spent nearly $60 for me and my girlfriend and that was only tickets and popcorn. I just can't say anymore that I think it's worth going to big cinemas like this, especially when there are cheaper places to go nearby .

I love how quiet this theatre is! There is no box office line, just the auto machines or you buy your tickets at the concession. I've been all different times/days throughout the week and there is never a long wait. Not a big fan of the "prime seats" though. They are the best seats in the theatre, they are never full, but the tickets cost more. Most people just pay for a regular ticket then if the seats are open just move to them when the show starts...

Good except they forget to update there movies on there website from time to time. Showed up to said movie with date and time from there website and the workers admitted there website is wrong so I like to double-check and call to make sure said movie is playing at said time. Otherwise, extremely expensive, the staff are avarage, they got cool arcade I wish they could expand more! It's always noticeably extremely cold inside this theatre so I suggest you wear a sweater to keep warm.

Super spendy... Why are so many movies 3D now? It's an extra $3 each for 3D, and they don't show the movie in regular definition, you have no choice if that's the movie you came to see. And $5.20 for a med pop! 1 adult, 3 kids, 1 popcorn and 2 pop.... $68!!!! The movie was good... The Grinch. Another good remake, but could have watched one of the previous versions at home!

Back in the theatres and it feels so good! This theatre had amazing staff who were very conscious of covid protocols. They were friendly and upbeat. The theatre itself is overdue for a renovation but understandably in a smaller place it’s unlikely to happen. The seats are okay, not bad but not great. The atmosphere feels like a throwback but in a comforting way. Probably not my first choice but if you’re itching to see a movie after over a year away then you won’t regret coming here.

Back in the theatres and it feels so good! This theatre had amazing staff who were very conscious of covid protocols. They were friendly and upbeat. Had the worst experience I have ever had at a theater and have been to movies all over the world. It was way too loud. Actually hurting my ears. Had to leave and after waiting 15 minutes for a refund was told that the manager COULD turn down the volume. And that they KNOW #7's speakers are too close together and its too loud in there. UNBELIEVABLE. what a waste of a night. Will never be back to that theater again. Is it even legal to have the volume that loud?

Came to see Spiderman pretty much as soon as i got my vaccine first day Wednesday i got turned away because my card hadnt yet updated. I continued to ask the lady would they be showing the movie in 3d tomorrow she said yes. So i went on the site to find the time 715 all good come in at 7 to see the movie at 715 and i get told no 3D you must wait until 745 in the lobby. I then showed the man my phone where I brought up their movie times and it says clearly 715. He goes were not showing at 715…. THEN DONT PUT ON YOUR SITE 715. Have pictures to prove it.

Ticket and combo ordering process using Scene points is archaic and confusing. Here get a movie combo something for 3500 points. What do you get for it... Who the heck knows. Can't find anyone to help you because everyone is 16 and in training. Speaking of training, since 3 of us couldn't figure out the combo we paid for one because when you pay it shows you exactly what you get. Brought it to counter. Girl asks "what is this" we say a combo voucher. She asks "what do I do with it". Employees in training should have some previous training and not be thrown in to wolves to fend for themselves. Also, if you don't have have hot dogs and apparently didn't have them for ages, take it off the damn menu. Anyways.. this review was way longer than it should have been.

The best theater in town!............ Not really saying much. When you have the monopoly, I guess it's ok to let upgrades stretch longer than they should. Chairs are years-old and no longer comfortable. I choose to avoid this theater now because the pain is NOT worth the cost. Also, put your listings back on the outside billboard, geesh!

I had a great experience here on December 26th, 2018. My Fiancee, mother-in-law and I went to see Mary Poppins. Everyone was very friendly, the theater was clean and the facilities where well maintained. The reason I am posting this is the above and beyond customer service I got. When I purchased my tickets online I did not notice that I selected the wrong day (oh no). The ticket checker and manager quickly figured out a way to get us into the movie without missing anything (and not having to purchase new tickets). I really appreciated them helping minimize the embarrassment. Great theater!! We will be back!!

Brutal service at the counter. Stood in line for 20 minutes and only 4 people in front of me. Two small pop and two medium popcorn $25!!! Complete rip off. The counter person then asks if you want to pay extra for butter when you can go to the straw station and get all the free butter you want. Also, they have a buck of options to buy combos and yet had no pricing on any of them. SCAM Will continue to watch movies at this establishment but will never spend another dime on food in this place.

The waiting time for popcorn was ridiculous, I witnessed people having problems purchasing tickets from the kiosks with no help in sight, very unorganized. Once you have completed your overpriced purchases in an ungodly slow manner the theaters are really quite decent and the movie quality is very good.

Went to this theatre about a week and a half ago to go see Robin Hood. The staff in concsession were so kind and helpful when I couldn’t remember the name of the movie I was going to see haha. I got a combo number one with layered butter and really enjoyed the new promotion with the bear ornament. Totally worth the money. The girl who ripped my tickets before I went in was very cheerful and directed me to the theatre. The movie was great and I had an amazing experience I won’t forget. One of the best places to go see movies here in the okanagan. 10/10

Overall galaxy excels at a couple things, they have good technology, their website allows you to order tickets in advance, and print at home or at kiosks in the theatre to avoid lines. They also have prime seats which were larger and comfier when I tried them, and I got to choose exactly where my seat was, and I could see all other reserved seats. You won't be able to escape expensive snacks and drinks here but overall it is a pretty good experience, to avoid lines and bad parking, go on weekdays.

We chose to go here because we live in Lake Country and this theatre is more modern than many of the theatres in Kelowna. We were disappointed to discover that you cannot reserve your seat ahead of time (first come first serve only) and theatre itself, including the chairs were filthy. on the plus side, they do recline WAY back, which is nice.

Confusing entrance. First thing you see and run into is line-up for concessions. Ticket kiosks are off to the side, out of view and unattended so if you have trouble using it you have to go find someone. And after paying to see a movie I didn't appreciate half an hour advertising before the movie started.

I have to say, Galaxy Cinemas Vernon has became cheaper and cheaper with each passing month over the past few months. They began by removing free refills on drinks or popcorn. They continued by decreasing the sizes of each and continually increase the cost. It's gotten to the point where 1L drink costs $5+ dollars. That's pretty ridiculous considering it's fountain pop and they purposely load their popcorn with salt in order to increase your thirst. There's been a few occasions staff have been downright rude or disinterested in customer service. Just a huge lack of effort. No smiling, no talking, no small talk. Just the feeling of, "give me your money", "NEXT!" I'd much prefer town theatre given the choice. A lot of the summer movies, I've been watching I have had to go to Kelowna for due to them not being offered in Vernon. Poor selection lately and missing many sci-fi movies like Ex Machina. I would have rated this theatre a year ago closer to 4 stars. With the poor selection, lack of concession options, removing of free refills while increasing prices and worse customer service, I have to give it 2 stars.

It was my first time at this theater in a few years. Usually I go to Towne Cinema. The arcade area is closed due to the pandemic and ticket kiosks are self serve. Concession experience was misleading. Popcorn now has a minimum price of eight dollars after tax. They asked if I want butter. Of course I want butter. It turns out butter is a two dollar charge. I think they do this because butter was self serve pre-covid but now they can't do it during pandemic, so having butter is extra labour. I was afraid I was going to get popcorn without butter, but luckily our bag had a sufficient amount. They really need to say "Do you want extra butter on your popcorn?" and then say it's two dollars extra. Movie theater experience itself was fine. Seats recline and armrests move. Everyone was spread out in the theater. I like seeing it responsibly spread out. Overall a decent experience but would wait until post pandemic when concession prices will inevitably drop, and we can have self serve for soda, hot dog condiments, and popcorn again. Tickets are still 11 bucks after tax which I believe was the same as five years ago. Thankfully those haven't gone up since reopening.

Probably the nicest cineplex I have ever been in. Chairs recline, well maintained space as well. They have a lot of theatres here so typically the showing selection is good. I have yet any issues with any staff here and I have visited here a lot over the years.

Nice little theater but there's very little space to park. It's at the end of a mall and to say the least, the shoppera have all the parking spaces. The spaces they do have are all at an angle and not that conveniemt. Service is good and they jandle the volume of people rather well. Movies not posted so you can see so you have to go to the website
