This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Good popcorn. Good seats.
Great local theatre. Only plays one movie at a time but the comfy chairs and huge screen is worth it. Price is steep for snacks here. If you don't get a good seat it is hard to get immersed in the movie you watch
Great small theater with the most comfortable seats.
best theater in the city!
Friendly staff good theatre, keep in mind they only take cash at the pop corn area.
Great service. Reasonable prices. Comfortable seats in wide rows.
Nice one screen theatre, not usually too busy
I came here to watch Little Women and Onward previously. Today, I took my dad here to watch No Time To Die (James Bond). He came here many years ago when this was the only theatre in Vancouver. It was rather nostalgic for both of us to come here. We loved the seats and the fact that we had enough room to stretch our legs while watching the movie, something that isn't possible at Cineplex.
Great old school theatre with great seats and tons of leg room, no clue why. but the popcorn is amazing!
Pretty cool theater. We rented a theater and it was a great time. We got to pick this very niche sci fi film. So I'm sure they're selection is nearly limitless and that's fun. Can't wait to go back. Also staff are the best
Definitely a staple of the community. It's got the best popcorn anywhere in the city and it has a home style feel to it. With that said, it's also got updated chairs that recline inside. You won't get much selection, but when it's showing what you want, I'd recommend it! Oh, and the lines are always the shortest.
Very cozy comfortable theatre, way better than the multiplex cinemas. Delicious popcorn. Lower prices for students!
Best popcorn, comfortable seats. Great screen and sound system. What else could you ask for.
Old theatre
Watched Robo 2.0 movie in 3D. Theater had good ambience and seating.. Thoroughly enjoyed
We rented the theatre as a group. Their covid measures were really good. The seats are super comfortable and they serve popcorn with butter layered thoroughly throughout.
A nice community theatre where you can usually see the most popular new releases without big lineups and worrying about sold out shows. Lots of leg room between seats. A fun experience!
Friendly staff who let me know they don't have debit machine in their theater. So got money out from a close by machine.
Great place to watch a movie. Seats were very comfortable, with lots of leg room. Popcorn also lives up to its claim and is really one of the best in Vancouver! Staff were also really friendly and honoured our expired Groupon.
Old style popcorn. Authentic theatre. Great to see it.
Great local theatre
Comfortable and clean, with killer real butter for popcorn. What more can you ask for?
Always fun. Amazing staff. Solid COVID protocols.
Great popcorn, seats, and location.
i'd definitely come back
Local theatre, nice staff and only shows one movie at a time. Snack bar is cash only.
Popcorn.
A great old fashioned one-screen theatre.
Yay balcony!
It is a theatre with about 200 seats. Easy accessible with considerable parking space nearby.
Great small family run theatre, OK seats, single screen, first run films usually alternating between regular and 3d if available.
Location, comfortable seats...However selling day old popcorn????
Best seats!
Great popcorn plenty of room for feet
Love this theater. Tons of leg room
Spacious theatre with excellent popcorn.
Their seating is very comfortable. Large legroom just like how they advertised! You can call to reserve tickets so you don't need to line up and risk not getting a seat! A cozy theater in the neighborhood! Need to go there more to support this community based theater!
Chilled out independent theatre that I always go to instead of the chain theatres.
Best movie theatre in Vancouver by far. It has an old school touch to it and is not overcrowded each time I go. Despite the small selection of movies that is played there, they always try to cater to everyone’s tastes each time. Also, an extra bonus star goes out to their fresh popcorn and their oh so good extra butter ❤️
Local cinema supported by neighbour. Not latest technology standard but ok. And has regular groupon options
Very spacious vaulted ceilings. Seats are moderately comfortable. Hard not to compare this theatre's seating with the larger multi-plex cinemas. No points given for the scene card here. Prices are reasonable. A grand old cinema (just like the Hollywood cinema) of the past that is fast disappearing from our local neighborhoods due to rent increases, residential development and competition:( Frequent changes of current movies. Local business advertising as part of the preshow screening. Actual butter in your popcorn not that yucky golden topping. Ice cream bars and mini doughnuts are sold at the concession stand too. Go see a movie there to get a blast of the past.
Awesome old theatre
Popcorn, new movies and one big screen, what's not to love?
Why there is only one Theater so small and too old
What more can you say it's the Dunbar
Big space and compact facilities.
Its a nice movie theatre, but the good is really expensive, and the cup holders are bad, otherwise a good place to go.
Good local theatre. Rotates through a nice variety of first run movies.
Charming local cinema, really nice to get away from the chains. Only 4 because the screen and floor grading are showing their age and concessions only takes cash.
Rarely packed a hidden jewel of a theatre and some of the best popcorn in the city, watch for their Groupon offerings when they are available.
I visited Dunbar Theatre during a private birthday party and it was great! The staff were wearing masks, offered hand sanitizer, and gave us free popcorn and drink refills. We had 2 hours booked and were allowed to watch anything from a streaming service. It was a fun way to go see a movie without worrying about crowds/covid.
I purchased a Groupon over 2 years ago and through that they received my name, email and phone number. The owner is using private information I have provided to Dunbar Theatre to promote his election campaign. I have never signed up to his campaign contact list. I got a handful of unsolicited emails, voice messages and texts in the past weeks. Isn't this a total violation of privacy rules and misuse of private information?
Sort of old, but it gives it a cool vibe. It's terrible they don't take card at the snack part, and in my case I wasn't given a discount while two friends that had gotten there before had. I don't mind it just made the service iffy.
Great old theatre.
Pretty nice cozy theater
Amazing experience for a private showing! Thanks for all the effort to make the theatre a safe place during the pandemic.
Wonderful seats, delicious popcorn, and superb staff! Two thumbs up!
Wonderful seats, delicious popcorn, and superb staff! Two thumbs up!
Great theatre. Excellent seats. Family owned. I make a point of going to this cinema even though I live near the Scotiabank theatre.
The popcorn at Dunbar Theatre is the bomb. I do not know what they use, but it is the best. We travel from Port Moody just to buy popcorn from here. Love to support local businesses!! Please don't change doing whatever you are doing!!
Very nice
Awesome little one show theatre in the neighborhood!
All these review's must be paid for or something. I agree that it has an old fashioned family feeling but that's about it. Tickets are about $13-15 which is about the same as you would pay for any other cinemas. Screen is tiny. Audio system is weak. And their 3-d system is very old. Overall not such a great place to watch a movie. I can't see myself going there again. (Didn't try the popcorn so idk about that)
(Translated) comfortable seat small room (Original) Petite salle siege confortable
Good local theatre ... great popcorn and snacks
One if the few independent movie theatres left in the city. They replaced all the seating a while back and have the largest account of leg space in a theatre I've ever visited. The staff are all lovely and even though I've moved away I still go back when I can.
Super comfortable seats with massive amounts of legroom. You also won't have to worry too much about the theatre being too crowded. They do show movies on a 3D projector.
Go to these old theatres before they turn to dust. It's a nice experience.
Easy, quaint, latest movies, great neighborhood theatre. Community gem.
Watched Frozen 2 in 3D here! Old theater but great seats, you don't have to come an hour to watch a movie. Best popcorn and great seats. One of the only neighborhood theaters in Vancouver.
Good price, best seats and a local business!!
Great seating and excellent staff and service. Great to have such a fantastic independent theater showing first run movies. Remember to bring CASH for the snack bar though.
It's an okay neighboorhood theatre (one screen only). The proximity to our house and the Groupon deal always help us to come back. The staff is usually friendly, and the movies are of people's interest.
Good place. Dunbar treasure!
I love this old theatre. Price is Right and it's old Skool movie watching at its best.
Great local movie theatre. Cheap prices compared to cineplex, great popcorn, snacks and an upstairs seating.
Nice small theatre with friendly staff. Good experience with friends and family as it is more casual.
Best popcorn
Great theater and staff!
Great theatre; comfy seats; spacious; free parking
I have been going here for over 20 years. It's clean, and you can always find parking within a blocks radius from the theater.
This is a great old school single screen theater. Staff are polite and friendly and it is a great family experience.
So grateful that this little theatre has stayed open during the pandemic. For $150-250 (depending on the day of the week and time) you can book this theatre to watch any movie for up to 5 people with a drink and popcorn included. $20 an extra person. Such a great treat. We’ve gone 3 times in the past 12 months. Staff are friendly and kind. Always feel safe and they continue to enforce Covid policies.
Nostalgic little place, that is not so little. Low prices are a very welcome change for food/combinations. We had balcony seating & loved it. Brought me back to my youth being here. Very friendly staff. Dont change a thing.
Pricey, but classic cinema
I see a lot of movies around town and the Dunbar Theatre is by far my favourite in Vancouver. Yeah sure, you can visit larger theatres that have a bigger screen and better sound but all the others lack the charm of the Dunbar. And hands down these are the most comfortable seats and best popcorn! I love the nostalgic feeling and the friendly faces of the theatre and if there's a movie playing there and everywhere that I want to see I will always choose this place!
Needs a renovation but it's a classic
neighborhood theatre
A good local theatre
Fun neighborhood movie house
Darkest theatre in Van. Good seats IMO. Good size screen but sound is lacking.
The seats are super comfy, and the popcorn is delicious. Why don't all theatres have popcorn toppings? The only less than ideal things are the screen size and that they only play one movie at a time.
Wonderful ambiance if you're looking for that original theatre like experience. Best popcorn in the city hands down!
Have been going to this theatre for 4 years now. Is very different from your typical Cineplex movie theatre as it is a private business. Popcorn is delicious, seats are pretty comfortable and the tickets are cheap!
Best theatre wonderful staff.
Dunbar is an experience. If you are looking for a slick modern theater, it's not it. Dunbar is more like a 1980s time capsule. Seats have LOTS of leg room and are comfortable. Projection is ok, so is the sound. Food is pricey, but not more than everywhere else. Overall it's quite nice, staff are very pleasant and I always like to support an independent theater.
Best popcorn and some character...
Really simple (in a good way). Nice screen with reasonable dimensions.
Great neighbourhood theatre!
Love the old feeling of this theater plus less people
Nice older feel to it, and compared to other theatres it's reasonably priced.
Comfortable seats, fresh popcorn and good prices.
A feeling of the good old days...
Besides the not so great seating a good theater with good prices.
A cherished local business and a classic movie venue. Always wonderful to support them.
A movie theatre just like when I was a kid. Balcony included. Popcorn still served in tubs!
Love this neighbourhood gem!!
Reasonable prices for both tickets and popcorn, no complaints for anything else
Last of the first run neighborhood theatres
Dunbar Theatre is the best independently owned theatre in Vancouver. Huge screen with the latest blockbuster movies in 3D. Also has the best popcorn.
One of Vancouver's only remaining small theatres, the Dunbar still retains its retro vibe with its cozy theatre, delicious popcorn, reasonable prices and balcony seating!!
Quaint little theater!!!
Perfect place for chill movies :)
Pros: Local independent theatre. Cons: Local independent theatre.
Old school Theatre, comfortable seats where the arm rests between seats can be lifted, so you can cuddle with your partner. High ceilings too. Free parking around the neighbourhood, and a pub next door known as The Cheese (Cheshire Cheese Inn). Besides opening night for shows, I have never waited.
A welcoming local theatre to catch a movie at. The popcorn is outstanding.
One of the last big old theaters. The charming owner addresses the crowd before the films. The seats are so comfortable that even bad movies are enjoyable in this theatre. The local theatre atmosphere and charm makes it a place to cross town for.
Have always and will always love the dunbar theatre. Especially the popcorn!
Great s acting, nice staff. Popcorn is delicious.
We go there all the time the only thing that could be improved is change the movies quicker some linker for month .. Awesome popcorn
private (not a chain) worth your patronage
Popcorn only second to the Rio theater, but the Dunbar wins in the seat category
A great theatre with the best popcorn and comfy seats
Really comfy seats, quiet neighbourhood with ample parking
Great staff and spacious seating.
Best movie rate in town
Spacious one screen Cinema, with 3D facilities and all the usual movie snacks just outside the theatre. My favorite place to watch a movie in Vancouver.
popcorn is amazing
Love this local theatre. Seats are comfy and the popcorn is delicious.
The staff are really friendly and the seats are decent. Price is reasonable too. Only down side is probably the screen is smaller and the way the seats are aligned. If you're a bit shorter, you might get blocked by the person in front of you.
I have been coming here for several decades and I am very happy to see the current owners invest in this local institution. Renovated seats and 3D films. Best movie popcorn in Vancouver?!!
Classic old school theatre, A+ popcorn ????!
Not bad. This is an independent theater and not part of the Cineplex scheme, so you can't use your points or gather them for watching movies. Pretty large screen tho. Friendly staff
Nice small theater with tons of leg room! Friendly staff and yummy popcorn!
Nice little cinema. No more no less but it has a nice atmosphere and popcorn. The only disadvantage is that it has just one theatre room
Not super cool inside, but was better then the sweltering heat. Popcorn is better then the big chain cinemas. Sat at the balcony with reclining seats and the armrests moves up so you can have a bigger popcorn. Admission price is lower then the big chain. If going out for a date night, there is a couple of restaurants or pubs nearby.
The Dunbar is a cozy, one screen theatre with comfy seats and tons of leg room. It's usually not crowded. There is free street parking nearby. It has delicious popcorn with real butter. They often offer great deals through Groupon. Love this theatre.
I LOVE THIS THEATRE!!!
We did a private rental today for my nieces 12th birthday. The theatre was absolutely amazing, they take every precaution against covid-19 and made us feel very comfortable. Was a great experience & I highly recommend Dunbar theatre.
Good place
Terrific neighborhood theater not to mention really comfortable seats and great popcorn!
Wonderful historic movie theater
A very loved historical landmark.
Cool looking small theatre
Old fashioned movie theatre but excellent audio and screen. You have to pay cash at the groceries store.
One of the last neighbourhood theatres in Vancouver! Comfy seats, great Groupon deals including bottomless popcorn that's delicious! Cosy venue for a night out, as several good restaurants nearby that are reasonably priced.
Classic old school, very charming and delightful...but they need to get some new sponsors or revise the commercials; seen three of the spots a few years ago!
Comfy seats, good popcorn, usually good movie selection!
The pictures I posted are from the Cheshire Cheese Inn. I was seated next to the wall which separates the Cheshire Cheese from the Dunbar Theatre. There is no obvious way to correct this misattribution.
Best popcorn ???? in the city! I absolutely love this theater and landmark in Vancouver history. *Independent small business*
Cool little theater in Dunbar Village. Love the retro feel. Fix your sign, by the way!
This place has Great seats, popcorn, and ticket prices. One of the few remaining independently owned theatres. Even on popular nights you can get an awesome and unique balcony seating. Forget points and over priced tickets and visit an establishment doing it right since 1935.
Great theatre for private bookings during covid! Very reasonable and we'll organized.
Real butter on the popcorn, great neighborhood, comfy seats, and likely the oldest movie theatre in Vancouver. I saw Star Wars there in 1978 when I was 11. ????
It was awesome , really enjoyed myself
The seats were super comfortable, and it was very clean. The staff was super friendly, and the popcorn was very nicely portioned.
Great seats & great prices
Neighborhood cinema, one of few independent left in Vancouver and worth saving. Seats are comfortable & clean. Good popcorn. Best of all, won't break the bank to bring the whole family!
My favourite movie theatre in Vancouver. Best popcorn in town. Large place, good seats.
Kudos to the Dunbar for keeping its concession stand open during the #Coronapocalyse! Pick up some fresh movie staples – including freshly-popped popcorn – before settling down to watch a film at home. Support the kids who work the concession stand during this difficult time. Believe they’re open something like 4-8 pm (please call to confirm). You can either go inside (with proper social distancing) or call ahead and have them meet you at the curb.
Amazing seats and popcorn. Their prices are also good regularly but they often have groupon options that make it a steal. There is only one screen so there is limited showings but definitely worth the visit.
Awesome staff. Great seats.
Great neighbourhood theater with warm friendly staff that play first run movies. Large comfortable seats.
Great Theatre.
Love this one screen neighbourhood theatre. Great seats with leg room, delicious popcorn,. Real butter, pleasant employees, low prices. And good sound.
The staff here are exceptional. They are very nice, friendly and flexible when it came to renting out the theatre. Excellent service and very professional.
I'm a huge fan of these types of locally owned and run theaters, but I thought the service at this particular one could have been better.
great local place to watch a movie. there are always spots and experiences i great, kind of reminds you of how the experience was before.. bring cash for popcorn... and always check to see if there is a groupon available
Reasonable prices, friendly staff. The facility is a little dated (I saw Star Wars there in 1977), but has been upgraded so quality was good enough. The screen is a little small, and I wish the kid boxes were healthy enough to buy, but good experience overall.
Great small business!
This place has the trendiest movies, incredible popcorn and a lovely neighborhood vibe which I enjoy a lot more than bigger movie theaters.
Have been going to the Dunbar theater since I was a kid, they are a bit cheaper than the major chains and there is something "homey" about it. Seat are comfortable with good leg room, sound is always good and they don't push as many commercials on you before the movie starts. I know it has had a few times where it looked like it would be torn down, but I hope it stays for another generation.
Very very spacious theatre. Comfortable seats and very good acoustics :)
A great birthday treat.
Overall ok experience. The theatre is kept clean and the seats are in good condition. My seat smelled like oily body odour. The theatre bulbs are too dim for 3D movies. I watched the same movie previously at cineplex and did not have the same viewing problems with blurriness and dimness.
Great popcorn and other delicious snacks
Their popcorn makes them stand out from the crowd. The only downside is that there is only one cinema hall hence one trending movie for a couple of weeks, but it's understandable for an independent neighbourhood theatre.
Roomy seating and huge theatre! We have to keep this lovely theatre in business. Only shows one movie at a time so you have to be vigilant if you want to see a specific movie here.
Best neighbourhood theater ever!
Best popcorn in town (real butter). Great comfy seats with lots of leg room, a little gem in the neighborhood.
Great neighborhood theatre, fresh popcorn, real butter and that little mini doughnuts, yummy! Just a suggestion, it's would be even better if the theatre reduce the wasted by offering customers to bring in their own container for popcorn and drink for a dollar each off. Less garbage!
Literally better than the big name brands in every single way
One of the last old timey movie houses in Vancouver. So cozy and warm. Free parking right in front of the theater if you go after 6. Great Groupon deals every once in a while also, check it out.
Very large and spacious almost empty theatre, feels like I have plenty of my own space, also cheaper than other theatres
Very spacious seating. The best popcorn in town!
Great local theater. Love that they have mini donuts, though theyre not the best. Wish it was a bit cheaper than the big cinemas. Clean and classix looking though, with comfortable seats!
Great staff, comfortable space, and I love that peach vroom
Will forever be remembered as the movie theatre that cared for my movie-going needs during the great covid pandemic
Watched so many movies there. Great neighbourhood theatre!
This theatre is so cute. The seats are huge and comfy and the theatre is a great size. There’s also a second level to enjoy!
Amazing theatre. Large chairs that recline and popcorn that is to die for. The price is super low if you're a student
So many movies seen at the Dunbar! Fantastic seats with high backs and a feel like only am independently owned theatre could give. Layering your butter on the popcorn is an option asked in case you don't want it on top. Minor detail, but thats why the Dunbar is such a nice theatre. Also, they do Groupon promos making the deals one of a kind! GO THERE!
Amazing!
Cozy little theater that actually plays big name films, great popcorn and amazing deals come up on Groupon every so often.
Great place to watch movies
It is an excellent neighborhood theatre
Love this place! An old theatre, but with great staff, the MOST DELICIOUS popcorn ever, comfy seats with tons of leg room. It's one of the last few family theaters left and is always fun to visit.
Old timey theater, love it!
It is a bit old, but acceptable
Very friendly quaint little theatre.
See you all soon.
One if the last remaining original theatres in Vancouver.
Balcony is really nice.
Currently renting out their theatre to single households to watch whatever you want on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney. Comes with medium popcorn (get it with layered butter) and a medium soft drink. This is a once in a life time opportunity to rent a threate for private use. $50/per person. Do it! Support local business!
The theatre is nice and clean while the prices are cheaper than Cineplex. The concession stand prices are also fair (got a large combo that included a large popcorn, 2 large drinks, and a large candy for just over $20 shared between 3 people) and the seating is also comfortable. Only downside is that they only show one movie at a time unlike other theater chains like Cineplex.
Most comfortable theatre seats in the city, usually shows great movies, delicious popcorn, and the sound and screen are excellent too. My favourite theatre in Vancouver!
BEST. POPCORN. EVER.
Big and old Theater, cleanly maintained ... sound system was good... nothing much to complain..
Great seating, easy parking and nice people.
Albeit an independent theatre, they strive to make sure everything is clean and they provide great movies. Last night we saw Starwars, no long line ups several food options but ours was popcorn and water. The staff are young and very pleasant. Seems like a happy place to work. Highly recommend this place.
Love this place Close to home .Been going here for eons .Hope it keeps on going but fear it will sell out to some other business soon .Can't blame them $$$$$$$
Great seats, great popcorn, I love small / independent theatres.
Great seats, great popcorn, I love small / independent theatres.
I really like this place. It has very comfortable seating and it's situated away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown. I like that they have new releases, but I find it hard to find out what the upcoming movies are. It's as if I have to wait until it's actually playing. The staff can be a little blaze at times as well. That mentioned, it will not deter me from making this place my go to theatre. Please GET A WEB SITE!!
The place is nice and has a vintage vibe to it. I'm never coming back to see movies in there though. I went to see spider man: no way home. It was only in 3D, which sucked, but we went along with it. The problem was that the movie was so dark, I had to spend all my time trying real hard to look past the shadows and see what was actually going on. That has completely ruined my cinematic experience of the movie, and made me realize that I don't ever what to have that experience again. So yeah - I'm not coming back there again. I'd rather go to cinemas where you can actually *see* the movie. P.S - The seats are not in a proper decline, so if you have some tall person sit in front of you then half of the screen is now blocked. Good luck with that.
Independent theatre with best popcorn in the city (that I know of) and good seating. Only local ads are played prior to showtime which respect your time - you're not cheated into paying for sponsored content by theatres contemptuous enough of their customers to do this to them - after stated showtime. This may be the last first-run movie theatre it's worth paying to go to.
Last of independent theatre. The property is being sold as of this moment. Go before it's too late.
Great neighborhood theater
can't believe the "LEGO" movie is going on forever... more than a month...
Cuz it is a movie
Great old-fashioned theatre with comfy seats and a great staff. Best popcorn in town. Highly recommend this underutilized theatre.
Very comfortable seats. The upstairs balcony is a fun touch.
The advertisement is true. They have the best butter
Best popcorn around and seats are comfortable. Sound quality is also good and the room doesn't echo. Solid theatre.
Went there for a private wedding after party. They did an excellent job of making us feel safe and distanced. Would definitely recommend!!!
Very comfortable!
Way over priced food and a very low quality projection
I found the seats and the balcony great. Sound wasn't fabulous but the popcorn made up for everything. Price I was charged had to be wrong. I bought a MINI buttered popcorn and bottle of water and it cost $13.30!! My friend had the largest bag of popcorn and a large soda and paid $14.00 - I don't get it! I would go again to this theatre but wouldn't use the concession again.
My favourite movie theatre in Vancouver. Old style theatre with lots of character but with new ultra comfy seats. My favourite place to sit is the balcony oh and the popcorn with real butter is so good and I don't usually like movie theatre popcorn. Hope this place stays open forever.
Though an old theater, seating was good and legroom was great. Friendly staff.
This is my favorite theater in the city! Amazing popcorn and the most comfortable seats and with the addition of 3D it is hands down the best place to see a movie in the city
Its a good place and good seats mmmmmm the popcorn is so good
Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable stats and good popcorn. Seating was set up will to limit contact during this virus
Comfortable

It's so cheap! Popcorn are the best!
Glad this has been a fixture of the neighborhood since u was a kid. Hope your here for many more
(Translated) Old cinema (Original) Altes Kino
Delicious popcorn and great leg room!
Wide variety of snacks. Comfortable and spacious seats. Only drawback is that there is only 1 screen.
Best ambiance, excellent seats!
The best theatre. Support small business and buy some popcorn, donuts, or book a movie showing. It’s a gem of point grey!!
I've loved this community theatre many years but I just had worst experience with concession boy who was extremely rude and makes every mistake to take the simple popcorn order.
Nice neighborhood single screen theater. Very comfortable seats with lots of leg room. Staff keep the place very clean.
Nice little theatre
Friendly theatre but really run down. Not sure why they don't maintain it...
Nice staff and nice seats overall very good.
I was very pleased that the management of the Dunbar accepted for full value an expired Groupon coupon, including popcorn which is the best cinema popcorn I've eaten in many years! Friendly staff, clean theatre, and good parking added to our positive experience! Keep up the good work!
Great neighbourhood theatre. Friendly, fun atmosphere as well.
Place is dope. I recommend checking it out
historic, big seats, best popcorn in town
This theater is in season 3 episode 10 of macgyver "blow out". The actual shot is at 4515 dunbar which is a library, but in this episode was made to look like us post office! You can see theater inn background as "getaway driver" speeds off. The only thing that seems to have changed is that there is now a restaurant behind where Nikki was pushed down.
Wonderful theatre with the best popcorn in Vancouver
One of the last of a dying breed of local movie theatres featuring top, first run movies.
Very old school style theater. It's a nice change from the giant theater chains.
This theatre is simply great. While it only shows 2 movies at a time, the theatre size is huge and is a great option on big opening nights when other places are sold out. The concession is affordable with some very unique options. Be sure to check out matinee options and their concession happy hours.
Our neighborhood go to theatre. So much fun , great popcorn, sound, screen and seats
Great seats. Real butter.
Great experience! Kirsten or Kristen (can't quite remember her name) was awesome at getting everyone seated for the new Spiderman movie. Her energy really made our night and we were impressed with how many different roles we saw her complete throughout the night! Great popcorn as well :)
Great old neighbourhood theater. Comfortable seats and some of the best popcorn in the city. Screen is small and sound could be better.
They're hanging on. Old School style Cinema.
Woohoo movies
Small, single screen theater. Despite that, comfy seats, large buckets of popcorn, and mini cinnamon donuts !) were on offer. A nice, lowkey venue.
With tons of leg room, delicious popcorn, and the most comfy seats, it is without a doubt one of the most amazing theatres I have ever visited.
Spacious seating and not too crowded
Always a delightful theatre to come to, never over the top. The manager and staff are always helpful and courteous. Comfortable seating and the best popcorn in town. Vincent
Quaint, friendly and unique. They even honoured the Groupon I bought at the coupon value rather than the amount I paid even though it had expired.
Cozy home like feeling with cheap tickets and popcorn
I love the popcorn here
Best little theatre I have found.
Very good service! I love the place!
My favorite theater in Vancouver. Seats are very comfortable and the staff are incredibly kind. The popcorn is simply the best!
Popcorn was good , place is comfortable . Great place
Best theatre because it doesn't have that mega theatre vibe to it
Best neighbourhood theatre. Great comfy seats. Good popcorn. 3d
More relaxing theatre experience than the big name-brand cinemas.
Hands down the best theatre in Vancouver. Most comfortable seats, very good ambiance, and never too busy.
