My only complaint are the seats. If you ever go to Jackson square mall's (in hamilton) theater then go back to an normal theater you'll understand my complained about the chairs. Lazy boy styled chairs in the whole theater. That was cinemas needs to invest in.

Great movies steady on the usual nights, afternoon matinees are my favorite for this theatre never too busy. Has regular concessions, no fancy chairs but chairs do recline and comfy. Lots of parking.

Great theater. Clean, big. Go early as on a Saturday they only had 3 lines open for popcorn and it took almost 15 minutes. Give yourself lots of time and buy your tickets online and you're good.

Very busy for a Tuesday. Long customer service line up. But the setting was great. The theater was comfortable. My issue is they don't let you refill drinks. I have only been to this theatre the last few times but I've always been able to refill. Is this a new thing? I don't know.

The website stated that there was a 3D and RD showing of the movie online at the designated time. Turns out it was only in 3D. We travelled 40 minutes to get here. Very disappointed.

We booked a birthday party for a Sunday at 11am, same time a church gathers there... What could have turned into a disaster quickly turned into an amazing party!! The manager (who's name slipped my mind but she was AMAZING and soooo accommodating!!!) And our hostess, Amanda, did everything possible to make sure things went smooth and we were happy... Always nice to get out to see a good movie. I notice that ticket purchases were entirely self-serve. We had to assist some people who were not comfortable with it. In Ancaster, they thoughtfully have attendants to help move people along.

Restrooms are always very filthy, soap on counters, paper on floor. Multiple times the self serve pop machines are out of flavours. This was never the case when a manager Mike was on duty. I believe that some extra attention is required towards overall cleanliness and daily operations.

Dear Brantford Galaxy, Please Update your seating to Full Recliner or VIP. Its 2020, strangers dont wanna sit rubbing shoulders with each other for 2 hours these days. I live 2 mins away from Brantford Galaxy but Drive to Cambridge or KW every time we see a movie. Even places like Welland Ont now have Full Recliners. My kids beg me to take them to the updated theatres out of town. I want to give you our business. Please make that change.

Great theater! We went to the Saturday late show and was surprised that the show wasn't busier. It was nice to not have to wait in any long lines and service was friendly. Also, no ticket to print and was scanned off my phone. I think its great that you now have serve yourself fountain drinks. I was able to refill my own water bottle and eliminate a plastic bottle.

Two of my friends and I went to Galaxy Cinemas Brantford to see Downton Abbey. What a great movie! For two of us, it was like seeing old friends, as we had seen the entire series, but our other friend hadn't watched it at all; she also enjoyed it thoroughly. Downton Abbey has humour, drama intrigue and romance! The theatre has very comfortable seating, excellent sightlines and great sound. Plus, today was No Excuses day and my Scene points gave me free admission! A great time!

Food costs a lot because movies are cheap. Can order tickets at the concession stand, self-checkouts, online, or at ticket booth area. My problem is that the amount of cleaning in the there's is not the best. Sometimes it is like it's brand-new, BUT at other times, I have to find a non-sticky seat and space before settling down. Overall, I rate 3.5 stars (rounded to 4).

At the end of Eternals, while we were waiting for the post credits scenes, the cleaning crew came in and stood off to the side like they usually do. One of them started loudly talking to everyone in the room, teasing about how he couldn't tell us whether or not there was a second scene; calling the people who lead already left fake fans, etc. It was inappropriate and irritating. He would. Not. Stop. Talking! He was clearly desperate for attention and thought this was a great time for an improv stand-up routine. Someone this uncomfortable with silence should not be working in a movie theater.

Don’t get me wrong, this place is clean, affordable & offers a great food selection. However, in comparison to other theatres under the “Cineplex” Brand, it doesn’t hold up. -2 ⭐️’s for Seating/Theatre quality CONS: • Chairs are a baseball stadium style chair • Chairs sometimes smell like sweat and feel gross • No leg space at all, can’t lean back & it’s always an awkward fight with the guy beside you for the arm rest or cup holder. •Only two rows of reserved seating, leaving the rest as first come, first serve • It gets extremely hot in there and the smell of body oder quickly fills the theatre It is recommended that Brantford’s cineplex invest into better chairs such as the leather recliner chairs at Ancaster’s & London’s Silver City. This would lead to an overall better viewing experience. I would recommend this location to a family member or friend.

I find that whomever is in charge of curating the ongoing movie playlist underestimates the level of film sophistication in Brantford. Yes, you have to pander to the youth and the movies aimed at them, but top-rated film seems often bypassed. Parasite, The Lighthouse, to name just two very recent examples, never were shown here.

On a great customer service note: my daughter left her tiara there after a movie. I called and they didn't find it however they told me that cleaning staff perhaps could do a more thorough search when cleaning. And they found it! Excellent customer service. They followed up with me promptly and said what they were going to do and did it. Looking forward to our next visit!

I went to watch the 6:35 pm movie on 23 Nov with my date, (Ford verses Ferrari) which certainly was worth a 5 star rating. However, I can only give a 2 rating for the theatres facilities. The seat cushion in the cinema was very uncomfortable (little padding) and the seat was not properly secured to the floor. The men's washroom had 2 of the 7 urinals out of service. Water was overflowing from the 2 faulty urinals. The woman's washroom had water all over the floor and countertops which makes it very difficult to rest your belongings prior to washing up. I must note that I very seldom give poor ratings but I firmly believe to be honest with all my reviews and rate accordingly to the venue.

We use this theater at least once a month for a date night. Naturally you have to use some common sense and plan ahead. We usually order our Prime Seats on-line ( or go early for good seats ) ..We always get popcorn ( no extra butter ) and a large drink. We like the large seats because we prefer the extra comfort. Staff has always been great. Ordering food or drink is always under 5 min. Washrooms are very clean. Enjoy the movie .

The movie was excellent but there was no heat in the theatre. It is 1c outside. It was the same inside. The freezing cold was a very big distraction. It made my viewing of "No Time To Kill" VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The manager did agree the theatre was not heated. Such a disappointment. It was my first theatre rmovie since covid started. I hope I don't get sick.

Last weekend I went to the brantford galaxy cinema. I went to see a 4pm show. I thought I would show up realy early because of mandatory vaccine it would be realy busy with big line ups before covid was here on Saturdays it would be full of people. But... it was absolutely dead inside no line ups at all. To work there the employees DO NOT have to have any vaccine. When I was ordering my food I noticed that the worker DID NOT have gloves on and she took my money and after that she handled my food and cup. When I was putting my stuff in a tray I watched her. She DID NOT sanitize her hands and served the next customer samething she handle his cash and food with no gloves. This is so ridiculous. This is one case why the virus is going around. If you are double vaxed it doesn't mean your money is double vaxed also. It still carries the virus. If you are gonna go with the government mandatory, then you should mandatory your employees to get vaxed also. And have some employees strictly only handling the money and sanitizing after each customer. And the other employees strictly only handling food While wearing gloves. By doing this it's protecting everyone from becoming severe ilness. But.. if you continue like this you are only protecting your customers. NOT your employees. But.. my honest opinion the mandatory vaccine should be dropped because NOBODY should be forced into doing something with their bodies that makes them uncomfortable getting done so they can injoy life the same as everyone else. Even double Vax can get and spread virus as much as unvaxed. And by the way things looked on Saturday you are loosing buisness because of the mandatory.

I went to see Spider-Man two weeks ago and it was a great movie and the ticket prices were acceptable but... the whole theatre smelled terrible like rotting carpet; my feet were even sticking to the hallway carpet (how is that possible?). Maybe they had recently cleaned the carpet (again, unsure how this is possible) or maybe it was the humidity but the general smell of the entire building put me off and I would rather go to my local theatre.

I went to the theatre at 115 in the afternoon and the box office had no one manning it. When I spoke with an employee regarding this, I was directed to the concession where I was told I could pay for a ticket. After waiting in line there for some time, I was told the cash register had frozen and they would be unable to process my transaction. Essentially unless you use an automated machine with debit or credit, you cant effectively purchase a ticket. Perhaps Galaxy Cinemas Brantford should focus less on selling popcorn and more upon selling actual movies.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to separate the snack line, hot food line, and drink line deserves a special place in hell. You now have to wait in FOUR separate lines in order to get a movie ticket and a hotdog/nacho/drink combo. We were waiting in line for a total of just over an hour. It's faster to drive to the Ancaster or Waterloo theatres when it's all said and done. You'll have a far better experience too. This place is total chaos on Friday/Saturday nights on opening weekends now. Just bring contraband food in or come an hour and a half before your movie. To top it all off the overflow reservoir on the drink station was clogged and had to be snaked out which resulted in the entire floor being covered sticky wet popcorn sludge concoction.

Have so many fond memories here, from going with my entire family, my dad and brother and more sometimes on a boys night, with my mom as a fun outing, and even with my grandpa and other relatives as an outing to keep in touch and share an experience. This was my first visit to a theatre in Brantford, and my first visit since Covid started. The kids loved the movie, but I was not at all impressed with Galaxy Cinemas. The Cineplex website promises a great experience with safety in mind, but we ended up being crowded in a nearly empty theatre with other guests seated near us. The concession prices are completely out of hand now. The staff are basically non-existent, nobody even checking tickets on a Saturday afternoon. I'd say it's worth the drive to Hamilton to SilverCity for the seats and screens alone. Probably will not return to this location.

Might have the worst and slowest customer service out of any Galaxy OR Movie theatre ANYWHERE! I waited 20 minutes to get served to order a popcorn. Once inside the actual theatre no decent seats were left ruining the entire experience. I could teach a monkey to better manage such a business. If you wish to see a movie I would highly recommend travelling to Cambridge or Ancaster cause the staff at Brantford are the most incompetent individuals ever!

This particular theatre has always been super clean and tidy, staff are friendly and inviting. I like my new Cineplex throw blanket I picked up too ???? I will always go back here to see new movies.

I would like to see an upgrade with the seats and more viewing options (IMAX, Ultra AVX). Many Cineplex locations have nice leather recliner seats, but the Brantford location lacks this. The cleanliness is generally well-maintained. There are times when I see left over food and popcorn left unattended at the concession tables.

I've been taking my daughter to every children's movie for a few years now. First time I've ever gone to the theatre in Brantford and I'll never be back. Theatre is border line unsanitary, popcorn tastes like it's been sitting out for 2 days and staff is extremely rude.

The baby cried and the 2 yrld never stopped talking for more then 6o seconds. Starwars was ruined for my family. Then as we left the theatre, the 2 gentlemen cleaning the theatre said "didn't they see me put the f---ing garbage there? Why can't they clean up after their f---ing selves?" very rude.

Worst cinema I have ever been too, they apparently have different seating selections but dont tell the customer. Ended up waiting in a line up for 2 hrs as the first show was sold out to get front row seats. Talked to a manger who did absolutely nothing, offered to get us prime seats if available but obviously they wouldnt be as the show was sold out! The worst part I asked the girl is we picked our own seats and she said no!they did offer to refund but I couldn't disappoint my 3 kids that have been waiting around all day to see it! I spent 130 bucks for a terrible experience, I recommend saving your money or going to another theater!

Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because this is the only "real" problem I've had with this theatre. Anyways, July 10th I went with 3 other people to see The Purge. As I got up to the register to purchase our tickets, I was very rudely asked for a piece of identification, where the guy behind the counter promptly stared at it for a good period of time, which wasn't only very annoying but was also slowing us down. After that encounter, we got into one of the 3 lines at the concession stand where we waited for 30 minutes to get a bag of popcorn and some drinks. The line hardly moved at all as we stood there waiting and waiting, which resulted in us missing the beginning of our movie. THEN to top it all off, once we got to the other clerk that rips your ticket, I was once again asked for identification by yet another rude employee that stared at us like we were criminals. My hands were full of popcorn and drinks yet he still asked me for ID. Very disappointed with this whole experience.

The handicap stall doesnt even have a door.. which should be a priority to replace! I used to work with handicaps and they already have enough issues to deal with when going to washroom. Let alone having complete strangers watch them! Super unsanitary though. And get the door fixed

Decided to watch the latest Bond movie in Brantford and was my worsed experience. I rather travel to Ancaster even with today's gas prices. How does a movie theatre run out of large popcorn bags? How do you drink a regular drink with a coffee cup lid? Staff are rude and unable to answer questions politely and the manager has no consideration to inquire what the problem is, when she clearly knew there was a problem. If your local patrons take the time and effort under Covid situations to support you, I suggest you make a better effort or close down.

We went today as a family and there is something dead in the building. The smell was unreal. Mentioned it to 2 of the staff and both ladies ignored us and walked right by us. For what we now have to spend to enjoy a movie we don't want to have to endure a smell like that.

I have taken youth groups, family, school trips and children's groups to many theatres across southern ontario. During the day it is lower staffed and things to take longer to be cleaned at this theater. The staff here was always very accomdating with handicapped group members. They have made efforts to get myself and a date into two seats in a packed theater. In terms of price it is on par with most theatres and all from Galaxy have the same prices,excluding any different features involved. Good to great place, moviegoers are never an issue with sensitive group member. Cleanliness is very much dependant on time of day and day of week. Wednesday 2 pm, may encounter some popcorn floors, bathrooms are nice nearly 100 %of the time,worthwhile focus for short staff. There is no reason I could think of to not recommend it as a good theatre.

Certainly like this theatre. If the pop and popcorn was reasonably priced then a 5 star but simply feel ripped off paying $26 for a LG popcorn 2 drinks and a candy which should not be more than $10. Next time off to the dollar store next door and simply buy the popcorn or not at all. Time to get wise and bring in the concession from outside. Boycott the concession stand noe

I come with my three other friends and we buy tickets but the lady gave us the wrong movie so my three friends got “Cold Pursuit” and I got “The LEGO movie 2” so anyways, I didn’t look at my ticket after I bought it but I guess I should have but I handed my ticket to this guy with brown hair and he was pretty tall I didn’t catch his name but for some reason we got different theatres and we were confused so we looked at our tickets and we got different movies and so we went to the washrooms to clear this up and we thought it would be fine so we were walking to “The Prodigy” and the guy just walks in front of us and asked us for our tickets so I explained to him about the problem and have was very rude and disrespectful about it and was talking with an attitude and so we went back to the place where u buy ur tickets and the lady Mackenzie was very nice and understanding and let us just go to the prodigy but once again the man was back and I explained to him that his worker Mackenzie said that we were good and could come into the movie theatre but once again with his attitude, he’s said fine I’m going to check with her which is completely fine but the attitude he said it with. Anyways, with him holding us back we basically wasted our money because we missed 40 minutes of the movie and didn’t get to see much of the rest of it. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would.

What a terrible experience last night !!!! (June 15, 2016). the concessions had 4 check outs open, we waited 35 minutes in line for 1 bag of popcorn (only 7 people ahead of us). Unbelievable!!! Once it was our turn and I stated i would like just one bag of popcorn, we were asked 3 times if we would like a drink with it. I had to repeat "no" 3 times!!! 35 minutes!!! For overpriced popcorn!! I cant believe we actually did it :-) Proceeded to the movie after this experience, had to wait another 30 minutes for the movie to start because of commercials!!! At this point I was ready to walk out and throw the popcorn on somebody's head. Thank god for my husband who kept me calm :-) Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost !!!!

We normally go to Ancaster for IMAX, but our most recent visit here was a below average experience. Concession foods were not fresh (despite the cost), someone (kids being "funny" , I assume) had plugged all the stalls in the men's bathroom with paper towels and locked them from the outside. My wife also reported that the Women's bathroom was not very clean either. I'm not sure how staff missed both of these things during the regular cleaning that takes place. Seats were comfortable as far as movie theatre's go. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Terrible management for a day that is busy with families celebrating the new year. No lids available for any drink sizes other then large. The Manager was approached by numerous guests and absolutely no actions were taken by him to help, except roll his eyes and walk back behind the concession area to hide. Other staff willing to hand out coffee cup lids that fit the smaller cups, but they were hesitant as apparently they were told by management to only hand out the coffee lids to customers that asked. There was a stack of coffee cup lids by Yogen Fruz and when I pointed this out to other guests the manager actually had the nerve to tell me that my actions were inappropriate!

This theater has to have been the worst movie going experience I have ever had. Upon entering our theater to watch Captain Marvel the stench of body odor and stank feet with a hint of dirty sex and puke filled our noses. As we made our way to our seats it looked like the theater hadn't been cleaned in days. The seating was very cramped and the heat had been turned up to "Welcome to Hell". Not 30 minutes into the movie my wife became I'll from the heat and the stench. If you want to watch a movie at the theater then whatever you do, don't go to this theater.

For the amount of commercials that we have to watch before the actual movie starts, the show should be FREE. All the CEO and the big guys must only thinking of profits and not about a person,s movie experience. Think about it- I take the kids to a cartoon movie and 15 min before the start time of the show + 25 min after- all commercials!!!!. Only a few were suitable and acceptable commercials for coming cartoon movies and the rest were for violent, adult movies that the kids should not see. Then the Toyota commercials... Terrible experience !
