Nostalgia as it was meant to be experienced. This place will transport you back in time to a much simpler and happier place. Concession and bathrooms are fine, and there is lots of open fields to throw a ball around while you are waiting for the movie to start. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW TO SHUT YOUR HEADLIGHTS OFF WHILE YOUR CAR IS IN "AUX" MODE BEFORE YOU GO.

You have to arrive early or you’ll have to park either really close to the screen with your car or really far back. SUV’s and trucks are in the back half and regular cars park in the front half. The tuck shops pretty expensive, so if you go with a bunch of kids, you’ll end up spending quite a bit of money...so I bring my own drinks etc. I’m not sure if outside food is allowed or not but no ones ever said anything to us. We’ve been going there since we were kids.. so over 30 years! But overall it’s a great experience for family time or on a date. If you bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit outside, bring plenty of mosquito repellent because you’ll get bit right up! If you have kids and have nothing to do on long wknds .. these are the best times to go because they have 4 movies playing all wknd.. from sundown to sun up! Usually they’re movies for kids for the first half and then they play the PG-14 movies..Usually by this time the kiddies fall asleep anyway! We’re from Kitchener. If you don’t like driving during the wee hours of the morning, you’ll be totally creeped out leaving because the back roads are so dark.. there aren’t any street lights back there and the roads suck! It’s hard to find the turn sometimes going home because you don’t see the sign that they have pointing the direction to the drive in like when you’re driving to get there! Haven’t been there since last summer (2019) but can’t see too much changing since then! It’s been the same since we were kids! For the price they charge for food, you’d think they could’ve updated the place since then! The actual price for the admission is still reasonable tho, which is great! Last year in 2019 they had Special’s for Tuesday’s where they charged $20 for a carload! Not sure what the prices are since the pandemic?? I’m sure they’re still pretty good!

Movie watching is not fun honestly. Turning radio to hear audio kind a sucks. Food options are limited. Plus side is friendly and helpful nature of staff. Food options are less but tastes good. We liked to onion rings. Go if you want to enjoy hanging out with family or buddies, not for serious movie watching.

My husband and visited the Mustang Drive in Guelph from Waterloo tonight. We arrived at 7:15 and waited in line until 8pm. When we got to the ticket booth a very kind employee explained everything as we had never been to a drive in before. We asked about Spider-Man and realized we had been on the wrong website, and Spider-Man was only playing at the Mustang Drive-In in London. The employee directed us to management for a refund. We spoke to the manager, who was not only rude, but belittled us for an honest mistake. The owner (who we did not meet) refused a refund, even though the movies themselves didn't start for over an hour, and only gave us one month to return. I'm extremely disappointed in both the customer service and ethics of this business. I urge you and will recommend all my friends to go elsewhere.

Went to the drive-in the first weekend they opened after the covid restrictions were lifted, there wasn't that many people there at all. We had a great time and we didn't have to wait in any lines.. was a fantastic 3rd date and we will totally come back here again. The staff were really friendly too.

Rolling up to the caah only gate feels anbit like going back in time. You pull around to the lot and park between the poles and get set up. This is not the IMAX experience. You're watching a movie in your car. The sound is as good as your own sound system although you can roll down the windows and hear the sound through the PA. You come to the drive in because it's an experience. Families set up tail to the screen in minivans with a mattress in the back and the gate up. Pick ups with loungers in the bed. People are chatting and clearly there is a crowd that comes often but it doesn't feel cliquey. A very community atmosphere with kids playing under the big screen waiting for the sun go down and the show to start. The washrooms amenities are a little sparse with a long line for the ladies and covid distancing is not at all helping that. There is nostalgia to the hey-day of the drive in but it's genuine and doesn't feel manufactured. If it's to your taste plan your visit to capitalize on the nights they have 3 movies. The picture was good and clear but got better as the night got darker. This isn't the crystal clarity of the premier multiplex or the shamless intimacy of the steaming on the couch. It's going to see a performance under the stars. The smell of popcorn on the summer breeze. Good stufg

I have many fond memories of everything from Song of the South through the Outsiders and Rocky Horror right up until Fury Road. It has been a crime on culture seeing these types of drive-ins disappear. I hope the Mustang stays in business for my children to experience this throughout their lives.

We went here in the beginning of July (Canada day weekend) on an evening when 4 movies were showed (incl. fireworks). The atmosphere was very nice and everybody seemed to be polite and friendly. We parked pretty far from the screen, but the sound and view were still very good. The entrance fee was quit high, but worth it since 4 movies played. Still, for us it would have been better to not start with 2 animation movies, but have some more variety right away after the first animation movie. You better bring your own food & drinks since everything is very expensive overthere. We loved the outside movie experience and the additional firework gave a nice touch too!

SUCH KIND STAFF! Very old-school vibe here. I love it! Had so much fun. They have amazing options for food/snacks/drinks as well. I come from the KW area and it's always worth the drive. Worth the price (which is quite pocket-friendly) - and it's such a fun and safe way to enjoy movies during the pandemic. Would highly recommend bringing blankets and pillows to make it a comfy experience for you too!!

Definitely a horribly run operation. Been going here for over 30 years because there's no where else fairly close but lately have given up completely. Building and parking lot have deteriorated over time. No work has ever been done to this place over the years except a paint job. Extremely overpriced and the food is poor quality to begin with. Make sure you park as close as possible to your pole. The owner will be sure to walk around and make you move a couple inches if he's not happy. Good luck if you choose to go here.

Came to watch Friday the 13 and the movie that was playing was not the version that was being advertised online. Was very disappointed in the place and the fact that there isn’t a refund for a movie that I did not want to watch. They advertise movies that are not playing!!

I remember going to the drive-in with my parents as a kid and loving it. Thanks to the Mustang I have been able to pass this fondness down to my children as well. A few things have changed. No more big bulky speaker in the window of your car, you now tune your radio in and get the sound over your own car speakers. However, the intermission films remain the same!

Love this place! Great bang for your buck, and such a cool experience. They only accept cash so be sure to bring that. It's handy to know how to turn off your car's interior lights (usually need parking brake on), and we bring a piece of cardboard to put over our car display screen.

Fun experience for a first time drive-in goer - good value if you want to see all of the movies. Difficult to see the screen for dark movies (Rambo was very hard to see on screen). We suggest either bringing a battery powered radio or be sure your vehicle can function without being 'on' (a nearby car's battery died - some vehicles can't run the radio without being in accessory mode or 'on'). Overall, a very unique movie option in the Guelph area.

We went to the Bon Jovi concert there. I haven't been to a drive in movie theatre for a very long time, so I'm not used to having to use the car's radio for the event. It doesn't work well, particularly when the car doesn't want to stay on auxiliary and automatically shuts off. However, the location itself is fine. There is nothing fancy and what you can get at the concession is basic, but what you would expect. It was nice to see them offer hot items such as hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. I also want to kick myself for not arriving earlier (get there as soon as the gates open!!), as we were at the very back row. It had the advantage of no one behind us, but the disadvantage was quite a few people going back there to pee in the brush.

Always a good time! We come here several times in the year. This place always brings back great childhood memories of coming here and listening to the oldies music before the movie and loading into the car to watch a great movie or two. Sometimes we sit out under the stars and watch. It's a fun experience that we get to share with our children now. We also won 2 passes once and they let our small children in for free too! My only negative is the bathrooms need to be updated. Last year there were tissues plugging the locks, they have since been fixed But my daughter almost burned her hand on the very hot tap water, other wise this would be 5 stars for sure!!!♥️

This was my first time going to the drive-in and I have to say, its a great experience. Between the movies they play concession break videos from the 60s and it really makes you feel like you've traveled through time. Everyone was very friendly there including the staff. My only complaint is that the concession both wasn't very organized, they don't really have a system in place to make sure everyone gets their orders in order, and they're pricey as well, but that is to be expected. All in all, it was a great time, and I'll more than likely go there again.

Exactly what you want when going to a drive in! Staff are nice, the screen is large, vehicles are split to ensure all vehicles can see the screen. They have a food onsite with a bathroom. The popcorn is a favourite!

Highly disappointed this year. At the front where you pay, they tell you to park in between 2 white poles (if you're in a car). Which means there SHOULD ONLY BE 1 CAR parked in between the 2 poles due to covid. Every lane had lots of double parked cars which is not allowed. Last year during Covid, the enforces were on it! This year, they only told 1 car to move and left the rest. Very disappointed during these restricted times. ???????? 1 suggestion: there should be more lanes available for cars. Currently there's only 2 and some cars have to park behind huge trucks.

They are capitalizing on their proximity to the captive audience of the nearby University, and charging more for admission and concessions than any other drive-in in Ontario, New York or Pennsylvania. While the guy at the gate was pleasant and friendly, the old man in the concession stand was cranky and irritable. Best to put people with his type of personality in the projection room or back making the food, far from the public. They don't take credit/debit cards, but do have an ATM...which gouges their customers $2.75 for a cash advance. Ice cream is a nice feature, but be ready to pay a whooping $3 a scoop. Cheeseburgers...$6.50. Pogo (aka Corn Dog)...$3.75 for a moist one prepared in the microwave. While drive-ins make their profit in snacks, it might be nice if the Mustang provided premium food for the premium price they are charge.

I've been going to the Mustang since I was a kid and I always have a great time! No matter where you park, you get a good view of the screen. The admission prices are actually quite good too (a regular night here for one adult is two movies for only $1 more than one Galaxy Cinemas adult admission for one movie!) The food, however, is not worth it. The pricing is ridiculous, even for a movie theatre, and the food is not very fresh. The fries are always cold, and the size of the ice cream scoops are pathetic. I don't know about the rest of the food, but I'm assuming it's the same. Don't waste your money on the snack bar. The snack bar and washrooms are extremely old, and could do with an upgrade, however they always keep all of the building quite clean. I do always love nights at the drive in, it's fun for the whole family and it creates great memories!

We arrived early and there were plenty of parking spots available! The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and physical distancing was easy to maintain. During the movie there were a few cars that had their running lights turn on, which was annoying, but not terrible. The sound through the radio was OK, and may have been better if we were closer to the antenna but otherwise we had a great experience.

We arrived 15 minutes before the second screening but we had to wait 25 minutes to get in because cars were leaving. We missed the first 10 minutes which was very disappointing. Additionally, the sound system was very crackly. My request to Mustang: Please make the entrance two lanes! It would be easy to do and would make the experience much better.

Food is over priced which isn't that surpising because all theaters are like that. But if I'm going to pay inflated prices the food could actually be fresh. They should not update. In fact a little upset that the old poles and speakers are gone. Its an amazing experience going there, the same place that I went to in the late 70s as a child and early 80s as a teen and seeing almost the exact same Drive Inn. Two great nostalgic Guelph experiences, Rockies where we gathered after cruising with our pals on $5 bucks of gas, then after fries and dogs heading to the Mustang with a couple of us in the trunk. Good times. BTW do not put anyone in the trunk, times were different back then. Owners at the Mustang, do not change and if you can, please install at least a few replica speakers and poles. Promise we wont drive away with them still attached to the window. Looking back it was all part of a great experience growing up in Guelph. The generations now don't know what they missed. Keep the nostalgia alive. See you soon for another all nighter.

It was the worst night. Do to poor management I will never go back to that drive in again. The website says people must turn off there light while the movie is playing, it's not true I told the old guy in charge because we couldnt see the movie properly because the one truck was facing us with there lights on and he didnt care so all you people who want to keep your lights on go to the guelph mustang because they dont care there

Go early for a good spot. It's ok to wear pajamas. Some people enjoy playing in the fields with a ball or their dogs - it's a good time for a reasonable amount of money. Many people open up the back of their cars, or set up comfy seating in the bed of their trucks to enjoy the open air. Two movies, a concession stand that seems to offer more and more treats every year and often, friendly dogs are about that want to make new acquaintances. It's a good time.

First time at a drive in...annd it was nice. I'm not sure if I would do it again but it was a nice night out. We went for my sister's birthday but I think it would make for a great date night. It was raining so it made the radio signal pretty fuzzy, but clear enough to hear what they were saying. I also wished the image was brighter; darker scenes were hard to see. All in all though it was a nice to find something that was a big deal in the past
