Response to owner: Gave 1 star after initial visit to the shop. Now changing from 1 star to 3 because of the follow up and the service on second visit.
Reason- I had my passport size photos taken here and both pics were 4mm short on both sides. Unless its costco, I always ask shop owners to provide me with a scale so that I can measure up myself and see if the work done is proper as I am aware how they rush into work and quality is mostly compromised. However, I was guaranteed that it cannot go wrong and there was no need to recheck the work. So, I believed them and left the shop delighted.
But I had to recheck. So, immediately after reaching home I measured them and found the pics to be way short on both sides. Had to go in again next day and they were more than willing to provide me with a new set of photos which is highly appreciable. But, again they rushed into cutting the pics and 2nd set of both pics came out 2 mm short again.
However, in last attempt they go it v close. Latest set I got was still off by 1MM but I thought I could live with it and would give it a try by submitting my application. Honestly, I think it would have worked as well, had the ink not come/dissolved off. Date wasn't legible and it was hard to read shop name. So, I tore up the pics and trashed them as I didn't want to go in again and bother them, add to overall embarrassment and to my frustration. Would go somewhere else now hopefully to get better quality service. For me, 70 by 50 means 70 by 50..not "66 by 46" or "69 by 49". Zero compromise on quality.
all in all 3 days wasted and my application is delayed.Not to mention the hassle. Appreciate the followup and efforts.
Note For other Customers:
Recheck the work before leaving to make sure it is up to the mark and avoid the hassle of having to go back.. ask them to wait for ink to dry up before putting the pics in the envelope after stamping them. Make sure stamp is proper and legible. You should be good I feel. Overall, owners are pretty friendly and accommodating and attempt to provide quick service. It would be a five star service if they fix these basic problems mentioned above as they cannot be overlooked.
