Here you will be able to see the information of people like you who bought the services of Woodside Square Cinemas (Movie Theater) in Borden (Canada).
At the moment this business receives a score of 3.7 stars over 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is quite good, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the score is very accurate. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
Tamil and Hindi cinemas available also hot samosas and popcorn and hot cold beverages too.
Tickets price high even on Tuesday
It's an ok cinema experience but one of the only places where you will find hindi and south indian movies playing. So we go there for the content and hardly the movie going experience.
Put Asuran Movie, don't know why you didn't take this film. Need another theatre to see good films.
Out of the 3 movie theaters around GTA where Indian cinemas are played ( Albion, York), this place was far better compared to others. There was enough legroom and the seats were quite spacious than the other theatre. The sound quality, we felt wasn't that great, there were enough parking spaces.
Bad nd old theatre ...
Indian movies
Good place to pass time
Good place to watch movies with family and friends. Most of the movies come here are Indian movies. Good sound system. You will like it.
This theatre is better than most of the other cinemas in Toronto! Good seating arrangement and the sound system is on par with the best Cinemas in the town
Bad place to buy tickets. Cannot buy online and the ticket booth is closed until 2 hours before the movie begins. There is no notice placed on the doors when the cinema is open for buying tickets.
this is a good theatre better than the york cinemas
Convenient place to watch movies. Seats can be selected while purchasing the tickets.
Best movie theater for Bollywood and Tamil movies. Most of the time visits for Bollywood movies
Extremely poor seating. Wouldn't recommend this theatre to anyone.
Good sound quality
Yah itz good to watch movies itz a good place with no more rush and there is a cafe too and on that place a shopping complex and near to that a Big MacDonald is situated there????
Cheap Indian cinemas house
I went for a movie last night on Nov.30,2019. I guess we should bring a comforter during the winter even inside the theatre. The vent was right above my head and each and every person sitting inside, watching the film is wearing a jacket to watch the movie. This is really not fair. i would like to ask a question to the manager, why do we go for movie??? Just to relax and be entertained. So, people if you guys wanted to watch a movie please take a comforter, possibly where thermals to watch a movie. I would like to give zero rating, but it is not available. Thanks.
It’s ok cinemas ..
Almost all desi language movies of India will be played here. Mostly preferred for Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Movies,.. Seats are worst, 3D is very bad,. Not a fast filling theatre - can get a ticket for first day first show on the spot,..
3 theaters 1 big screen and it is very nice.
They don’t turn on Air Conditioner, chairs are in a very bad stage. It’s better to quit watching movie than sitting here.
Cancelled show without prior notice
Place where you find desi movies and desi food...
Good sound effects
It's not a big wall! For neibour hook!
Went to watch 3 movies, Seemaraja, 2.0, and Bigil. Woodside Cinemas is the best.
Very bad Management. They canceled the show and they made me wait so long to refund the money.
Decent theatre and good sound system. Timhortons and South Indian restaurant are just by the side.
A good place to catch movies from the subcontinent Location is idealbfor dinner and a movie many restaurants to choose from within the mall
A kid friendly cinema hall. There’s still a lot of room for improvement though.
Best place to watch tamil movies in toronto. You can enjoy south Indian food @ Sara Saravana Bhavan restaurant next door.
Not clean small screen charge more money for tamil movie than hindi movie
Great collection of eclectic shops. Rarely ever busy.
Geetha govindam got skipped but 45mins and the supervisor couldn't fix the problem.
Best for south Indian cinemas
my favourite theatre but york cinema play one movie woodsite cinema one movie split 2
(Translated) general (Original) guud
Can be a bit neat.Housekeeping services are on a low end.Long story short the movie experience is great.
The only place to watch south Indian movies...
Very good theatre with bollywood, hollywood, and kollywood movies. Nice place
Proof of vaccination and ID is a must. Good collection of Indian cinemas available. The place is nice and located in an open mall. Plenty of parking space available. The seats must be made reserved mandatorily for movie time showings. We had a terrible experience as a couple sat at our reserved seat which had a Good view of the screen and ended up arguing with us stating it is not mandatory to sit at their reserved seats (tickets booked online). Therefore, we ended up sitting elsewhere and could not enjoy the movie much. It would be better if they could mention that the seats are reserved instead of adding a disclaimer.
Just a regular average cinema.
Place is showing signs of aging.. Needs some renovation. And there is not a single bright/we ll light spot where u can take selfie ????
Good for Indian cinema
Gud place for Tamils
Seats are not comfortable
Okay auditorium. Watched Malayalam movie here
This cinemas has 3 screens, the screen 3 is bigger than the other two. They generally place Indian movies and definitely Tamil movies. To check the show times you could use their website and now they have introduced online booking too. The snacks offered aren't that good but ok to have if needed. Cleanliness isn't that great ok not to bad either..
Very expensive. Not worth of the screen.
It's great and fun. Full entanglement
Worst worst strategy.. I went for a movie at 1pm, they said they don't have any tickets and forced me to take 4pm show tickets.. with my family I roamed for 3 hours and while we are waiting outside for 4pm show there were only 20 people came out from previous show.. Really?? Is this your strategy to show people count for each show... :(( Btw there were just 3 rows people at 4pm show.. So this is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!
Decent theatre if you want to watch an Indian movie, considering Cineplex doesn't play most of then anymore. Only complaint is they don't have online ticket booking and they don't let you reserve tickets in advance. You can only reserve the tickets in the morning for the evening show.
Three stars because it lacks elevators or escalators. Not wheelchair accessible.
It's time to improve audio quality in all screens. Wasted few hours last week because of sound system issue.
Screen is super small and light is very dim
It was absolutely good experience of bollywood movies
Very poor sound quality. They are not organised. First we were asked to go to hall 2 then after the scheduled show time a girl came running to say the show is in hall 3 where the movie was already running. Then they stopped the movie mid way and another girl came running asking us to go to hall 2. The movie was delayed half hour due to this confusion. Very unprofessional.
One of the few theatres which show Hindi movie. Nice Indian snacks available like Mutton rolls and samosas. Now you can buy tickets online too.
Very clean and professional
Very clean and professional
Good to watch Indian movies.
Small screen didn't like it ..
Too loud ????. Not a pleasurable experience!!!!
Nice and cozy space for South Asian movies
Good place , night screen , nice video and sound quality but vip seats installed there should be made more comfortable.
Good but didn't get the indoor soccer shoes.
experience Indian cinemas. Foods are not hygienic. Long queue at washrooms
This movie theater plays regional movies, the screens are very small and it doesn't give you that ultimate movie experience. Regional movies are not being taken by Cineplex, so the moviegoers don't have too many choices. They have a Saravana bhavan beside the theater.
Most stupid website and screwed up info line. You cant buy ticket from website and cant talk to person about it and this cinema is in Toronto.
Good place for Indian movie lovers ????
The theater's poor quality and customer service can be tolerated to some degree as we do get to watch tamil films here in Toronto. What's unacceptable is that we need to pay 15$ on a regular day for tamil movies only (Hindi is 10$) . Woodside can get away with this as Cineplex no longer shows tamil movies and they have a complete monopoly. I refuse to pay this extra 5$ 'tax' on tamil movies and will no longer support this theater
Any tamil movie showing early please 4.30 or 5.30
You can watch Tamil movies
Can improve interiors. Food and ambiance needs work. Looks like a normal theatre nothing special
Its alright. Big screen, decent sound system. Cleanliness could be better.
Good for regional movies, real crazy people come here for fun at cinemas. Good shopping options and food stores available.
Good theatre
Great experience watching movie...
Lot better than other Tamil cinema theatre screens in Toronto area
Good
Nice place to watch Indian movies in 7 languages
good place
Went there for a Thursday night show last week (US Thanksgiving). Got there before showtime. Staff said they won't play the movie because policy says minimum 10 customers needed and we were the only ones there. We altered our plans to give them business - unfortunately for the last time.
I have been to Woodside Cinema many times. It’s a great place to view South Indian movies. The only downside to this was the cleanliness of the theatre. They don’t clean after every show the empty pop cans, pieces of papers are on and around the chairs. I was worried whether the seats are safer to sit during this pandemic time. However, the washrooms were very clean. There is another down side is that the viewing because of a few people were on their phones, and others were talking loudly and having full on conversations during the movie. Is this a Asian behaviour? Or Is it because, we were all watching a South Asian movie? However, people were less care or concerned about manners and being polite than they would at any Cineplex Cinema. I really wish management would put in a clip before the movie asking people to turn off their cellphones and be quiet, or at least having a sign on the doors stating so when you enter the viewing room. It would also be great if they could have an employee come in at intervals to ensure that there aren't people disrupting the viewing experience.
(Translated) Have a shopping center, always go! (Original) 应有尽有的购物中心,常去!
Good place for specific Indian movies and good snacks options
I used to go this Woodside Cinema but then after long time I didn't go there. I decided to watch a movie with my girlfriend. Watched Bairavaa. I noticed there was some beer cans and popcorn under the seat. Pee everywhere too. Spilled everywhere too. So how the hell they increased the ticket price to $15???????? for that? Didn't clean up proper and all that since Cineplex is no longer play for any Tamil movie since last time they played Theri. I will never like to go there anymore. Maybe will check at York Cinema, if still same like dirty and messy and all over. How can we pay $15 compare to Cineplex for $12???? Don't waste your money for that. Since it is not good for the kids to smell some beer, pee, dirty, bugs and so on when they can't afford to clean up since they charged $15 now!! REALLY??? I have a picture to show! If you don't believe this, please go waste your $15 and check it out! They should know better since Cineplex don't play for any Tamil movie right? So why can't they offer for a cheaper ticket price since there are only 3 theaters in GTA! York, Woodside and Albion! For all 3 theaters are more than Cineplex general price! Unfortunately I won't go there! Thanks
My First Visit Here ????
Good theatre ! Best to watch all hindi and tamil movies. Their samosas are not so great but still edible! I like their sound effects. Woodside cinemas is much better than York cinemas ! Yeah they charge $15 all the movies thats quite annoying and they don't have online reservation still no other theatres OUT there to watch tamil movies !
great
Good location, east Indian Tamil and Pakistani movies theaters
An okay place for Indian movies.
Just had a really bad experience for the malayalam movie Hridayam. When the show started there was no dialog sounds..they replayed 4 times to fix that sound issue and after 30mts total sound system went down. Almost 50+ people …
Very worst theatre I saw in my life. We found a issue that the quality of the 3D and movie is not clear and informed them about it so that they could get it fixed in future, instead they are pinning that only we had an issue rest everybody is fine with the quality. We asked randomly many infront of them, and everyone experienced the same issue, watched only because paid money. The employees seems to be rude, and not even caring what we are telling. Overall a worst place to watch a movie in this place. A worst place to watch movie!!!
Most Indian movies are put on screen. No Wheelchair accessibility, at least I didn't find any. The mall closed early on Weekends and it becomes tough to find a place to have dinner close by.
Very crowded and not at all managed. The screens are some of the worst in Toronto. The box office area is extremely small compared to the amount of public they have for every show. Food is average. No escalators. Two stars for the movies they screen.
It was winter inside the cinema. Air conditioning was killer. We ended up frozen ????
Good movie
Very good for watching tamil movies.
The seats are not as good as Cineplex theaters. They food is expensive. The tickets are priced depending on the actor in the movie. They do have half off Tuesdays. They have an elevator. You can buy tickets online but it's a $1 extra per ticket. You cannot bring food into the theater. The seats are pre booked. Tamil movies are only run here and York cinemas, the times are almost the same but more theaters at York Cinemas. York offers more other languages such as Telugu movies. They offer breaks during intermission but if ur watching the last movie of the day they close the food stands before intermission. They have chai tea which is pretty good, but during less busy days they don't offer it.
would'nt go back there, rather wait and watch at home, atleast yousave some money!!!!!!!!
Lean and nice small place
Over priced. Movies will shut down randomly.pop corn is trash. The elevator is so small for a full size wheel chair. No disability buttons for the door. They usually charge you over 15 bucks to watch a movie on a tiny screen. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
This small cinema screens mostly Asian movies form Bollywood. They offer a diversified cultural experience from standard Hollywood movies playing at other major Canadian cinemas.
Been here first time and to my surprise it was way lot better than etobicoke. Good maintenance. Vocal sounds could be improved, though the music is good.
Good one but need some good smell when u enter in the hall.
No sound quality
Always has the newest hindi movies and great concessions
Small screen and too congested seating arrangements
Went to there after ages since Baahubali is not being played in cineplex but $25 a ticket because it is opening weekend (completely bs). When I asked the girl for Monday night ticket, she claim they have decided on what to charge people so they are selling yet....like really...pure hwy robbery....
Only place where most Indian movies are played in Scarborough region. Some movies it's cash only.
Screening could be much better. Overall a good place to watch your favorite star movie.
Nice
If compared to Cineplex, its a 2 star experience due to congested seats and weird layout. Sound quality also 2 star. There were only 6 people in the movie. The seats are very uncomfortable, I had to keep adjusting myself throughout the movie.
good cinema for sout asian
????
Great food n entertaining
Nice & clean Cinema with large screen & great sound!!
its what ever
Movie played half hour with audio and video completely out of sync.. its a disappointment place
Safety issues. The cashier handles money and then packages the meals for customers.
Nice place.
Faizal did a nice job today
In Scarborough the only place that we can watch Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood movies. However the cinema place needs to be properly maintained and cleaned.
Ok
Place for Indian movies, theatre atmosphere can be improved, seats are not maintained properly.. good sound effect.. too many advertisements. Movies will be started after 15 mins of scheduled time..
good place to watch Bollywood and Tamil movies
Found this on the floor proves they don’t clean especially during covid wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t clean the seats. Please do not come here it could be very dangerous. They do not follow safety protocols. Please go elsewhere if you don’t want to get infected with viruses.
Not many theater shows Indian movies. Especially kollywood movies (Tamil). You have only two options for the Tamil movie theater with in Toronto GTA, York wood cinemas and Woodside cinemas. Both are the top of the line theater and can not compare to main stream theaters. Also very rare showing happens at Albion cinemas.
Great
Not very much to shop for, but it's a nice mall still.
Nice seating and overall movie experience
Best place to watch movies with easy parking.
Worst theatre I've ever been. The advertisements are longer than movies. The seats are not comfortable.
Loved it
Back in 80s Back to the future played here. Great memories....
This is one pathetic theatre...Seats and sound system are worse than a theatre in India in the the 1990s. Making things worse tickets are damn expensive for what they are.
Horrible theatre to watch movie which don't maintain proper air conditioning that too in COVID time and irresponsible management which don't listen and care the issues.
Good for viewing Tamil movies. Tickets can be booked online and tickets can be printed from front Kiosk at the cinemas. There is small waiting area. Washrooms are clean. The seats are comfortable. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. If hungry, there is Saravana Bhavan next door for South Indian vegetarian food.
The theater experience is very good Especially the sound systems were pretty amazing. But the food lounge is very small and has less options. If you are looking for a good movie experience then I highly recommend provided you live nearby.
Its amazing
Decent cinema, they need to replace their website and online booking application. ????
The snacks (like samosas, tea and mutton rolls) are very low quality and tastes like cardboard. Why can't they sell/ serve good tasty snacks at the Theater? And it was horrible to sit through the loud odd Tamil Advertisements. They should instead use silent slides for Ads without annoying the audience. It's not like the movie ticket was free, we paid $15. So why does one have to watch these annoying ads and get headache is beyond my understanding. Plus, after the interval of the movie they usually switch off the A/C, and it gets irritatingly hot. Do they think audiences won't notice? I think the business can do a lot better if someone took action to change the above.
Overpriced. Not honest with customers. They are charging $15 per ticket for Bahubali 2 even on days when it is supposed to be cheaper and they don't post that on their website. Otherwise clean though the sound was too loud and you could hear the next door movie when it was quieter.
It's an OKAY place. The staff aren't too friendly... a little on the rude side. No one was at the front counter for tickets and for the food. Once they did come to the counter, no smile or anything...more like "okay what do you want" face.
Good theatre for Tamil and Hindi movies. Since the renovation, a very nice theatre. But snack bar prices are crazy. A bottle of pop costs $5
Not good at all. All seats are torn or very badly worn out. All of them should be in recycling bin. Noise from other two theatres keep overpowering the movie. When ticket price is same as other theatres better go to other theatres.
Cons: Very small and poorly maintained. Long wait times at the ticket counter on weekends, sometimes there is no place to stand in line and people keep pushing. Pros: The seats are very comfortable, and they release most of the hindi movies there which Cineplex don't.
Its a small shopping center having banks like TD and RBC. Also has food basics which remains open till 10 pm on weekdays and weekends time varies according to season. Lots of traditional Chinese food and things shops and outlets. You can also take TTC bus no 129B North to steeles from both north side and south side stop and 129 to Scarborough Town Center. 939 A/B goes to Finch station and Finch west station respectively. Avoid 939C as its slow as compared to above-mentioned one. It also has one of the best south Indian restaurant in Toronto GTA, Sarvana Bhawan which usually is crowded on weekends. They also have buffet breakfast and lunch options on weekdays and special holidays.
Good movie theaters for Indian movies in Scarborough
Bad sound system
Not a great place for movie. If u wanna watch Indian movies it's the place close to Toronto
Nice place,we are watching Tamil movie ????
good
Nice experience!! Movie theater seating look clean and neat.. over all not bad
Okay theatre. Over priced tickets and concessions. Need to stop people bringing babies and kids who cry in the movies.
Old and crowded place
I have went there many times. Last time, I went there for Visvasam. It is organized well and clean.
Worst place but no choice. Indian movies can be realesed only here.
Screen is not clear and scratches in screen And sound was not clear
......being repaired renovated as well......
Tamil cinema on Toronto
Dont answer the phone calls
Not so bad theater for Indian cinemas. Best part of it is the Saravana Bhavan hotel right adjacent to it! Also almost every decent Tamil movies (the language I watch) shows here, which is good It would be easier if they had online reservation. They also di not accept credit card at the counter which is sort of annoying
Food is expensive
Good place
good seat woodsite cinema and i don’t like york cinema
An okay place to enjoy the Bollywood movies. If you watch them.
Needs an upgrade
Poor customer service
Nice place for indian movies.
Convenient
Indian cinema
I liked the movie visuvasam a lot
Clean place
Visited the place and had dinner at Saravana Bhavan. Food is awesome there and great ambience.
A decent place. When going to a movie here don’t expect a great ambience.
Average movie theater
An average theatre comparing to Cineplex. Newly renovated and better seating than before.
Screen was good but you can't experience theatre sound..Waste of booking tickets
Good place for movie lovers. Indian reginal movies you can enjoy here.
Never been there it is all South Asian movies
Nice place
Nice place to watch south Indian movies.
Good
Too much ads even when compared to Indian movie theatres.
Small screen. Good for south Indian movies.
Not the best place to watch movies.Need a big renovation.
Good enough Cinemas for Indian Movies. Someway to go on Cineplex but a good start. Only cash for Tamil movies is a pain. Seating is predefined - like your seat number will be printed on your ticket (Indian style). So good luck with that. You won't have a choice to pick your own seats.
Everything is a scam, shouldn’t waste time watching these crappy movies that you can watch at home for free.
Limited options
Very comfortable seating. Prefer to watch Desi movies in this theater.
Best theatre. Clean nice and very good sound
Good theatre for tamil movie, Sound quality and cleanliness is also good compared to others. I have gone there for 4 times. In that 3 times i have seen there is always a drunkard inside the screen and keeps on screaming and disturbing others. May be once i can understand that theatre workers didnt notice. But 3 times is not acceptable. It makes the movie watching experience very uncomfortable, especially when u go with family and kids. Drunkards should never be allowed inside the theatre, its very simple rule. If things doesn’t improve i have a file a formal complaint next time.
Seats are not comfortable. Drunk people and louder people come and give movie reviews so loud while the movie is running. Management never does any action about it.
Beware, only one screen is in reasonable size. Rest of them are only little bigger than the home theatre projector. Ask them about the screen your movie is playing at. Don't waste your time and money to watch movies in small screens.
Screens Tamil & Hindi movies. More or less, a monopoly situation. Once Cineplex screened Tamil movies. That was the best experience to watch Tamil movies in Toronto ....Compared with that, Woodside cinemas will get 3 stars only.
If you really want to watch movies on a great big screen with great sound system, go to Cineplex and pay a hell lot of money then what Woodside is charging you.Besides rarely there is big crowd except on friday/Saturday and sunday early show. Their deal is fair and enjoy the movie rather then usual complain....
Nice theatre. Con: Sometimes you can hear the sound from the theatre next door.
Love the place and the Indian movies
very good
Good place to watch indi movies, but screens are small , sound system not that great.. not many snacks options on weekend.. no online booking or kiosk booking so u have to go to boxoffice to book ur tickets standing in queue
Overall clean and well maintained but it was super hot inside the theater. Not sure if the heat was simply cranked up but it became uncomfortable to sit through the entire duration of the movie !
(Translated) General environment (Original) 环境一般
Overpriced tickets....
You are no
You get the smell of damp interiors there.
$13 movie????????????
good
The only #3 theater is worth for your money everything is expensive, we bought samosa and it was so disgusting
Nice place to watch Tamil and malayalam regional languages movies
Amazing sits but a bit dirty
Good mall but very few shops ..
Crappy seating. If you are short like me, good luck trying to see the screen. The popcorn counter was closed as well when I went. Not rexommended at all.
It's very mediocre.
Place for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films.
Best place to watch South Indian movies with easy parking.
Most of the movie is Indian movie I believe only few of them are other countrys movie Not international enough Feel so unfortunately that it is in a good place but not international enough
Good place to watch south Indian movies
Not good selection of stores!
A good place to visit for all the south Indian movies you need to watch.
A good place to visit for all the south Indian movies you need to watch.
Super rude service! Cancel movies and don’t update their website or answer the phone. Half a star :)
Nice & Like,Beautiful Woodside Cinema
Hair cut was good. Waiting time was a bit longer. Service was good as well. Will go there again.
Not a good service
This is not a traditional movie theatre. The movies are not Hollywood pictures. The people that come here are mostly Indian and Pakistani so the films are geared towards them. The mall is also very sketchy and full of rowdy teenagers. Avoid this theatre and mall. There isn't much good here.
Very average movie theatre. 3D was very okayish, felt there was no value for the money. I wish the management can improve the seating and ambiance. We found it very difficult to find the seats in the cinema hall, and also felt very bad for disrupting the experience for others.
This place is the worst. Any Tamil movies that comes in Cineplex gets their screens slashed and pepper sprayed. Cineplex then stops playing Tamil movies, then these guys put on movies for as much as 25$ on opening days to average of 15$ (so guess who does that slashing/pepper spraying?). They turn off air-condition once movie start (you only realize it when the Intermission comes and you are sweating) Not worth a single penny with sticky seats, an elevator that feels like its going to fall down any time and sub par concessions
"One and only south Asian movie spot in Scarborough, food and staffs are great. I come here since childhood" ~ #PaulSelva
Seating is big boring for enjoying the film but overall is ok ok
Really good theater. But please do not try ANY SOUTH ASIAN FOOD they taste year old food but again the service and price is excellent
Telugu and indian movies are frequently played here , when ever feels like watching a indian movie in big screen you can visit this place
Not a bad one. Good for Indian movies
Worst Desi movie theatres. Surviving purely on monopoly business.
Walk carefully on the stairs
Good place for Hindi movies
Its good.
Good Service but don't know were to watch Hollywood movies
Its goog for indian movies but , the movie hall is way to low in quality also picture quality is way less than cineplex. I would say you get only what you pay for here.
Went to watch akhanda ????..vere level energy by fans! Could improve the sound system
Nice cinema
Nice seats and good price for movie tickets, not expensive
Shopping mall providing a variety of service in daily life. Banks, super market, eating places and personal service..etc.
Can be better... Especially the snack store .. it is highly expensive and you don't get much quantity
Watching movie gives me an experience of watching in India at this theater
Nice experience watching movie with family.
Good theater with great seating , sound quality and picture quality
For Billy wood movies
Convenient and decent location for Indian/ south asian cinemas in Scarborough. It is a bummer that they do not have an online ticket booking system. Their show times are displayed on their website, which is helpful.
Good neighborhood cinema very conveniently placed for me. Nothing fancy but has the necessary for a movies experience and a little bit above. Clean washrooms
Not too bad
For Tamil and other southern language movies, so there is not a good theatre nearby. If they can make the ambience better, they will make more money!
Very pathetic place.
Not bad of an experience
Customer service very nice
(Translated) not bad (Original) 还可以
Good place to watch south Indian movies in Scarborough.
A place to watch Indian cinema in theater experience. Seating is not upto a standard theater
Very Good Service. Good Movies & Good Food. My Fav is Nachos & Cheese with Coke Zero or Coffee. Their Masala Chai is very good too.
Good
Good
Came here for my first drive-in cinema experience. Pretty cool that we could listen to the movie through the FM radio, but too bad neither my gf nor my phone support audio frequency tuning, so we had to start our car one a while to keep the audio coming
Good
Clean and well maintained. Comfortable seating
Great feeling
Not bad
Too little movies too choice
The only good theatre is number 3. If your movie is any other then have fun.
Never been there
Never been there.
Decent place to watch a movie with family :)
Average place to watch movies in big screen..
Provide the front row viewers with a small tv on the floor level ????
Good screen size, nice staff and the price for concessions is good. This is also probably the only south asian theater that does half price Tuesdays.
(Translated) The theaters are large and large, and the seats are wide and backwards, which is very enjoyable. (Original) 影院多又大,座位宽大又可向后,十分好享受。
Okay movie theatre- can have better customer service, bathrooms and theatres seats and armrests need more deep cleaning due to COVID precautions and safety. Concession stands can be improved. Accessible by TTC which is good and has food options near by! Screens are good size and seats are comfortable. Sound of the movie is too loud---sound needs to be adjusted as it can cause ear damage watching a movie at that loud of a sound for more than 2 hours. Very hard to enjoy movie due to extremely loud sound of movie. There also needs to be a reminder at the beginning of the movie to not talk during the movie and to put phone on silent. Interval break of movie can be longer as people use washrooms and buy concessions during this time.
Ok place
Please SWITCH ON THE AIR CONDITIONER. Watched Bigil recently it was horribly hot. Totally spoils the movie watching experience.
Not one of the best malls
Great place for entertainment
Worst theatre I've ever been. The advertisements are longer than movies. Only want cash for tamil movies wonder y
(Translated) Pepoyes fried chicken has juice (Original) Pepoyes炸鸡有juice
So bad for the money they charged for each movie ( same price as IMAX) but the quality of theatre and comfort are not comfortable to IMAX. Seating is too narrow , and very uncomfortable chairs, dts sound system is too bad I felt (I had to close ears to avoid such a loud noice when I went to watch tam Super star movie ). There is an Indian resturarent with in the same building if you wanna enjoy some food and movie . Rest rooms are not very clean . I am not sure if it is one time thing or it will be like that always but after my first bad impression I don't wanna go here again.
U guys gotta update ur system their. No one is not gonna go to ur threatre if u guys don't update ur website so then ppl can book seats online. Also their mice running around that threatre still. U guys r dirty and too cheap to do a inpection in the threatre. Try to be like York cinema man. They business is booming rightnow cause ppl book their tickets and seats online. Most of the ppl who live in Scarborough goes to york cinema cause u guys r Waste and cheap. If you want your business to go up again, try to change everything that I told you. Thank you
Very crowded
Good place to watch Indian movies
They don't play all Indian movies ????
Good seats and clean..
this is not a theatre..? this is a motel........ 5 star motel
Decent theatre... But sound quality is very bad.
(Translated) Oops (Original) Oo
Terrible wanted to watch 96 and checked before driving to the cimema, both the website and the automated voice message indicated the show time was 10pm. When we turned up the to buy the tickets was told they are not showing at 10pm - so annoying!!!! Will never go again to watch a movie!!!!!
Theater is in the basement. If you have mobility issues , this place is not for you. Just ok place
Smelly, dark and ripped seats
No online booking. Crappy seats. Sometimes only front row speakers are turned on.
You only go here to watch the movie as it’s not where you would go for a theatrical experience. If there’s one word to describe this place, it’s average.
Not a quality theatre
Now under new management it’s really clean
Mediocre sound system for the price you pay. Not good seats and ventilation.
(Translated) It finds everything (Original) Se encuentra de todo
The seats are horrible. The theatrical experience is also not great compared to Cineplex. Doubling ticket prices for prominent actor’s films is not good practice. Only good thing is the Saravana Bhavan next door.
Mostly kerala people and old chinese visit here
Seats are not comfortable
Nice and cozy place
Small screens, too much advertisements.
It s a good place to watch indian movies
dreary unkempt cinema hosting indian movies
Nice cinemas to watch Indian movies.

On April 26th, 2016 Cineplex says it has cancelled all remaining screenings of the movie ‘Theri’ after the spraying of a “noxious substance” in Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto movie theatres Friday night, causing irritation to several patrons and forcing the theatres in Peel to close for the evening. The theatre giant did confirm that each incident was “localized” to a single auditorium at each location, but won’t say if the theatres evacuated were showing the movie in question at the time, citing an ongoing police investigation. “The safety and security of our guests and employees is our top priority and while each incident was localized to a single auditorium, in an abundance of caution we evacuated each of the theatres entirely,” said Cineplex spokesperson Sarah Van Lange. “Steps were taken immediately that evening to ensure the situation was addressed. We continue to take precautionary measures.” Van Lange said as a precaution, Cineplex has cancelled all remaining screenings of the movie Theri, a Tamil action film released in theatres earlier this month. As a result no more Tamil movies played at Cineplex in the future !!!
I saw tiger zindabad hai over there best movie ever seen in my life.salman Khan zindabad that cinema is the best in Toronto
Trash Cinemas. Over priced and the seating layout is terrible. But is the closest place to watch tamil movies.

Because you guys asking proof of vaccination . I refuse to give my business to you guys. Despite I am vaccinated I don't encourage any business who requiring my personal information. I know lots of people won't be agree with me but I am also sure lots of people will agree to me. Even vaccinated can get the virus and infect others. Then why we need to encourage this discrimation. It's not a fair that I can spread Covid but because I am allowed to go in and watch a movie. Govt rules are important but not at the cost of discriminating society. We all have rights to decide for ourself. Not a kindergarten student that he we listen what we have been told we get treat. I
Your website's horrible. Can't buy tickets online.
Good place to see indian movies
Excellent staff on duty. Good place for family movies .
One stop cinemas for all Indian Movies
Very good
We wanted to book tickets for Annaatthe online, my husband attempted to book tickets for the Friday night show on Weds. Attempted 3 times that night, the website stated unable to proceed with the transcations due to an alert on the website that the address and credit card information not matching. Asked us to retry the payment which he did. The payment did not go through. When he checked right away on his online banking, the money was taken out and refunded x3. I attempted to book 2 times yesterday online, same msg appeared. I also checked my online banking the money was refunded. We went in person and booked 2 tickets for todays 1pm show. When checking our online banking tonight, we found that the payment was not refunded, for my husband and myself twice. The amount of$64x2. We called woodside square cinemas, we spoke to a gentleman who stated he's unable to help us then passed on the phone to a lady "Krisha" who claimed to work as the cashier. She would not listen to what we had to say, kept talking over my husband. Finally, she said something similar happened to her and she had to call her bank "scotia bank" to get a refund and she is unable to do anything. When we asked since she had this problem as staff, when questioned she responded saying management is aware of this situations as they get this complaint very often. She was very rude, and when asking for her managers she stated he's out unloading stocks and was unable to come to the phone. When we asked for his name, she stated she's not able to provide his name. She said that we had her name, she refused to give any other information. She refused to provide her full name and said she's not comfortable giving out her name, she's the only one working at the place with that name. When asking for the male who spoke to us earlier, she stated she doesn't know his name, there's 6 other people working here and she she doesn't know. She then spoke to someone in the background, the male in the background said "don't waste the time" asked her to hang up the phone. She did not say anything and hung up the phone. Very unprofessional. Based on my experience, I suggest no one to book tickets online. I think its a scam and a waste of time. We are still on the phone over 1 hour trying to speaking to our bank, still waiting. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service. For anyone who has done this in the past, and you checked your money was refunded, I strongly recommend you recheck to see if your money was refunded.
Is ok
I was at seenema watching padiyappa and i order kotturoti no bad money gone i am immigrant coming from good old oore in scarooobro. I spending gasu kassu and no honey but money going. Super packed and very poor parking. Also has been under construction forever.
No AC and no elevator . Good stuff
The theatre is basic but not bad. It will be better if they have better seatings. The price for the movies are also bit high but it is still enjoyable to watch at Woodside.
The screens are so small and they have assigned seats so if u do not book your ticket u have to sit in the front, also they turn on their lights in the middle of the movie.
We paid only 7 dollars for movie tickets
Movie theater is very very bad tickets over priced not clean seats are full of bugs awful sound system I will never visit or recommend so sad we don't have a nice and clean cinema to watch south Asian movies
very poor management
Very small mall
Ok ok
very bad theater, watched a movie with just 2 speakers, the rest did not work. But they have been a monopoly since the "incedent" in Cineplex
Garbage theatre earning lots of money of off tamil films knowing it cant play at cineplex, very bad customer service as well
Has Tamil movies
Worst theaters in Canada. Woodside Cinemas, Albion Cinemas and York Cinemas. The list of complaints include, poor management, rude customer service, pay cash only for overpriced $30 tickets (no credit or debit cards accepted and no receipt, so distributor can evade taxes and report false figures or $0 to the CRA, HUGE FINANCIAL FRAUD). Everyone should report them to the CRA immediately. Other issues include movies not starting according to schedule, incorrect schedules, shows cancelled without notice, interval breaks between movies longer than usual if the line up at the concession stand is large, stinking theaters, garbage on floor not cleaned, poor seating and audio, small screens, no way to buy online, stand in line pushing each other to buy tickets, distributors sell tickets to known people so you could be there in a line for 30 minutes and find out show is sold out but have people walk in later in large groups and have multiple tickets. I will never go again. I will also never understand why so many people go to these theaters. If a movie is not playing in Cineplex, its better to stay home and wait 3 to 6 months than to overpay and deal with these crappy theaters.
Love going to Sarvanah, south Indian food
Can only pay tickets with cash for Tamil movies, overpriced concessionary and the theatres need to have better temperature regulation. I was literally sweating the whole movie, it was so uncomfortable to watch the movie
Great confort and great experience.
Has shops that are convenient and different fast food places
This theatre was my childhood. They have definitely re vamped the whole place. Before it was so run down, now the seats are comfy, screens are big. Would recommend for a family movie day out. Don’t be turned away by the looks of Woodside mall, the theatre is nice now!!!
good
Theatre is not that good
Ok
good
"The" place for South Indian movies. Eat at Sarvana Bhavan after or before your movie.
neat and good parking space
only choice to watch south indian movies . Average screen , terrible sound system.
Good movies good seating good price
Decent movie theatre plays Bollywood movies, but mostly Tamil movies. Would be nice if they played more Bollywood movies. Some times the concession items are not fresh samomsa/tea
They took $5 extra from normal ticket for bahubali 2 movie. Online it says $10. Some thing fishy happening
Great experience with Woodside Cinemas. The theatre which welcomes you to enjoy and experience Indian films. Fair ticket rates and good customer service. The theatre have three screens. Indian films like Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi are playing here. There is a manual ticket buying machine along with regular ticket purchase and online booking. As a regular customer happy to visit again and again.
Wouldn't even give one
nothing special, but will come back for favourite movies
