Theater was clean and not too full. Woman working at the counter must have been having a bad day because she was quite testy. Prices were reasonable for tickets maybe because it was an afternoon show. Popcorn was ok. Drink choices were out of 6 not like bigger theaters with the fancy machines with a million choices. Seats don't recline but are comfy enough.

I rarely go to the the theatre and had a little trouble when it came to seat selection. Concession prices are absurd, but I suppose that is par for the course when it comes to movie theater s.

It's a movie theater, I mean sound quality is excellent all the movie aspects are great. Tickets are self serve now which is convenient for me but difficult for my older relatives and of course the concession is markedly over priced but that's to be expected.

This is not a promising review,on Wednesday April 11 went to see Ready One with my son..This exspierence was not pleasant for us on that night..A man sitting a few seats down from us brought in alcohol in his back pack,was overly intoxicated,he was yelling at the screen quite loud and verbal cussing..On the way out my son spoke to security he gave us free passes..But on our way out while calling for a cab he accosted my son started in on him was quite rude..I told him off we ran to our cab when it arrived as he followed us out as if he was going to hop in it..Where was the security then, no one was watching the entrance..what if had got violent with us no one was there to help out.

Considering it was Friday night, service was fast! When it comes to ordering tickets online in advance, you can now present yourself to the ticket handler to scan your phone, instead of having to go print the ticket at the machine. This saves us a few minutes!

Always quick and efficient. Believe the new staff need to learn between the numbers 2 and 3 as they had no idea what I was saying when asking for a popcorn combo. Always clean so that’s a positive as some cinemas can be unclean and disorganised.

All of the projectors have been upgraded to digital, and with the addition of the UltraAVX and reserved seating, it has gotten considerably better. However, with this being the only theater that shows new releases in Sudbury, it's wayyyyyyy too overcrowded. They need to either expand or build a second theater. I don't like going anymore because there are always too many people trying to pack in... not to mention there are only 2 exits to the parking lot which makes it a nightmare to leave after the movie.

Only keep one side of their centre kiosk open even when the place is packed. Not only is this very irritating for patrons who want to purchase food and tickets but poses a safety risk if there is ever a need to evacuate since one entire hallway entrance is blocked with a crowd of people. I assume this is due to the minimum wage hike but more than 3 employee should be working during a late night rush; They seem very stressed out. From now on I will be going downtown for movie night.

I find the prices are a little much when a small popcorn cost 8 dollar and a large popcorn is75 cent more. You get triple the amount almost. I feel like the prices should be lower for smaller portions. After 8pm don't get the pretzel they would rather throw it out in front of you than served it or served it raw

What once was a great place to go enjoy friendly staff and great movies is now being run by minimum staff and payment kioks. At the main ticket purchasing desk used to be multiple fantastic staff members to greet you and provide a friendly service in terms of selling the tickets. Now the desk has been replaced with computer screens and there are no staff members to assist if there are any questions. Just another example of the abuse of the "minimum wage increase" every business uses as an excuse for negative change. Hugely disappointed and honestly disgusted especially when you see hundreds of people walking spending tones of money. My question to Cineplex is as follows. Are there going to be reduction in tickets and merchandise prices now that you have replaced staff members with kioks. I'm sure I am not the only one to feel this way. I truly hope this changes sooner than later. Sincerely disappointed customer.

No toilet paper in stall 2 in woman’s bathroom at 6:47pm yet checklist says it was checked at 6:45pm. Need more staff as several guests were not wearing their masks around us. I try to avoid this theater and go to the downtown movie lounge instead. I went to a premiere at Silvercity, packed theater and some idiot was smoking pot the ENTIRE movie. Smelled like a bunch of skunks. Left before the end of the movie, (late movie) and not one employee was to be found. Disappointing is an understatement

Mixed bag of experiences here. Concession line-ups are typically very long though. Had some times where the place was fine, then have had other times where movies would malfunction a lot or the bathrooms were a disaster. Still... pretty much stuck with this place as the main movie house in town.

Great movies, concession stand. The arcade is well appreciated when waiting for people or buses, but an expansion of the arcade could improve the location's entertainment destination status, but for now it's good enough. The food vendors seems to be an area that is somewhat lacking. More options, especially for the many of us who are gluten intolerant. Overall, still a fun night out.

Movie theater is well kept for the most part. They seem to be short of staff often enough when it comes to the confectionery. The seats are like regular movie theater seats. I've seen better theaters but I've seen much worse. I have no issue bringing my family here, it has a good atmosphere and I always feel safe here.

Decent theater with all an AVX and ultra AVX setup (ultra AVX is the big comfortable moving chairs and costs about twenty bucks a ticket). It'd be nice to see an IMAX theater come in, but I guess we do have the one at Science North. Arcade games mostly work, but could use a bit more variety, like a fighting game or two.

And now they serve beer at least it's an option for the parents or the adults. A great place to take the kids or just to go on a date I've even gone solo, it's never been a disappointment

The new staff are extremely helpful, polite and make the effort to remember my friend and I. We get hellos and on occasion these young people remember my preferences without me having to say anything. We had a problem with the storm in Toronto affecting the opera we wanted to see today. The manager who handled the situation was wonderful. He left the majority of theatre goers happy and they will be back!! Silver Silvercity is lucky to have such great people working for them.

As a fan of Cineplex cinemas, I find the Sudbury venue to hold up to the quality experience I expect. There are 12 screens which provides a large selection of films on any given day. A great place to spend time with the family although it can be a pricey affair. The video games are outdated but the kids don't seem to mind, and they love attending birthdays in the party rooms and VIP treatment in the cinema with blocked off seats and personal service. SilverCity Sudbury is also home to Cinefest, a spectacular annual international film festival, which I highly recommend.

Went to see the new Star Wars..hadn't been to a Cineplex in a while. Ticket was $14. Literally watched a dozen commercials before the trailers. Another commercial half way through the trailers. I paid $14 to watch over a dozen commercials that pay Cineplex a ton of money to advertise. Why are we letting big corporations spam us at the theater?? No wonder why attendance is down.

Enjoyed watching the new Star Trek movie In to darkness, it was amazing we watched it in theater #2 which was an Ultra Vax real 3D which again I say was amazing the picture was like you were there and the explosions sounded like them. This was the first time I have been in this type of theater and I recommend it to everyone!

Decent AVX 3D offerings. Sharp and bright imagery throughout the screen, even in 3D. Minimal crosstalk in 3D. There are D-BOX seats, too, but they are not all they're cracked up to be. They are comfortable, but often add motion emphasis to mundane aspects of films (no-action elements) which can make the experience an annoyance at times. That said, when the action ramps up, D-BOX does a good job at conveying a compelling motion experience. You can even adjust the rumblings, and even turn it off, if I recall. The prices are on par with the quality of the projectors, and the food is expensive, as to be expected from this type of establishment. It's a true big box theatre experience that pales only in comparison to home theatre experiences.

The only place in town where you can see "The Hobbit" sequel on 8 of the 12 screens every minute of the day. Enjoy the frustration of waiting for a bus that no longer runs after your movie finishes. Why spend $40 on a night of socializing, when you get a Movie, Medium bag of Popcorn and an airplane sized bag of Maynard's candies for just $10 more? Be sure to get their early, so as not to miss the half hour of "Coming Attractions", and advertisements, as a bonus courtesy to the $12.00 purchase of a ticket. Rub elbows, with people who are above the courtesy code of shutting off their cell-phones before the movie. See BIG MOVIES, on even BIGGER SCREENS. Come on down, and suck it up Sudbury. IT'S THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE!

Apparently COVID can't spread from front to back, only side to side. That's the logic used to seat people in a pandemic in a place where most of them don't wear masks because they are eating. Amazing cinema to go to, both in and outside. Lots of parking for new releases, and with parking all around, you never have to walk too far. The theaters are extremely clean and the staff seems to want to be there. Prices on food and drink are high, like many other theaters, but the lines were quick, and the quality of food is good. Very clean all around, and the movie itself was at a perfect volume and looked amazing.

An employee wrote a note saying that although their popcorn "may contain" dairy, they tried their best to keep his food from being cross contaminated. Too many staff standing around doing nothing while the line ups grow to unreasonable lengths. If staff are on the floor (particularly behind the counters) they should be engaged in assisting customers. If they are not "on" they should hang out elsewhere. The optics of having only 50% of the people working and actually serving customers are very bad and super frustrating. I was there last Saturday and there were 6 people behind the ticket desk and only 1 person taking customers. There were at least 15 people in the line up. I then moved to the food line. Only three tills were open and yet there were about 10 people "working" behing the counter. The line ups were huge. One entire side was staffed but nobody was open or on till. Very bad optics.

Over priced and under staffed. In a huge theatre like this with as many movie theatres as they have with limited other choices in town I absolutely hate going in on any a opening weekend. They should have twice as many people in that concession stand and just close the ticket counter all together and make it into another concession stand. No one buys their tickets there anymore anyways. Also the bathrooms need a deep down to the grout cleaning, they are full of mildew and soap scum.

Going to the movies is one of my favorited things, however this time was not great. Thought I would save some time buying tickets online. On my phone. Payed and got confirmation, no problem. Got to theatre scanned -nothing- tried another machine. - nothing. Next went to a staff member called Shanley. She said that it had to be printed out and to go to the kiosk. I said that there was a line and I bought the ticket online to avoid the wait she said in a very rude tone “well it’s not much of a line”. I am very disappointed. Where did customer service go? Not only that but I heard her relating the experience to a co worker. Not cool.

Enjoyed the grinch tonight with my son for his Birthday. Unfortunately was quite displeased with the accessibility of this place. The outside wheelchair ramp was not shoveled or sanded. I found it very difficult to enter/exit the building with my son who is in a wheelchair. I did let someone know once we got inside the building, the young girl shrugged her shoulders and said she'd let the manager know. Otherwise, was an ok experience. Walk in, pay for your tickets at a computer, watch a movie and walk out. Nothing fabulous!

Personally, I found the TV's showing the times were a bit hard to pick from since they cycled quickly. If seeing a big movie you have to ascertain exactly which theatre experience you want from the quick change tvs. They have 1000 sq ft of wall above the TV's that showtimes could be projected on in such a way that it would be easier to pick from. Popcorn lineup is prolonged due to tickets being sold in the same line. If you're not hungry bypass the food/ ticket line and get show tickets from the self serve machines.

Concessions were extremely slow. I'm patient but a manager needs to recognize the frustrated people and light a fire under the teenagers they have serving popcorn. Otherwise good experience.

Great venue, comfortable seats, view of screen is good from any point of view. Only issue I had recently was with the Pizza Pizza slice I had. As far as I'm concerned it was under-cooked, raw dough in center. I complained about it but was told that this is how Pizza Pizza has instructed it to be cooked so that the bottom is golden and the toppings don't looked over done. No refund on it either.

Only big theater playing current box office movies. Experience is pretty average. large screen sizes and good, clean sound. Normal theater seats can be a bit uncomfortable for long viewings if you're in one of the original theaters. Newer seating is significantly better.

A Wednesday at 7:30pm. Only four cashiers, boxes and supplies laying around one side of the snack shop. Outtakes bistro 3 employees chatting in the back, register displays closed. Ticket collector doubles as bartender. Overpriced and unstaffed, hasnt been updated since built, sad excuse for Sudbury' theatre

We paid 36 bucks for the popcorn combo for 2 then they tell you that you have to choose from the top two almost empty shelves, pop wasn't right and popcorn wasn't up to snuff. I would have been fine with 1 out of 3 being great but 3 out of 3 blunders and line ups on top of that? Lol There are a 100 places we will go ahead of Silver City now. :)

The movie was fine, the seating is fine (a foot rest under the seat ahead of each place would be a fantastic improvement), but the price of popcorn (the cheapest snack that can be served) is absolutely ridiculous as is a pop that was well over half ice. $13+ and then add your taxes gives you a bag of popcorn that would cost maybe $.50 to produce at home and the same for the pop. Even after the cost of the containers and any of the coloured, flavoured garbage they pour on the popcorn you are paying them over $10 to serve it to you. Now, it used to be that the popcorn and pop could be refilled once. We've been to the theatre many, many times in the apparently 2 years since they discontinued that practice, yet we did not know the perk was discontinued because obviously we (like many others) very, very seldom ever used the refill option in fact it has obviously been 2 years or more since we refilled anything or we would have known by now that we can no longer do so. Even with the no-longer-available refill option, it was still ridiculously priced popcorn and pop, but the refill option (should you ever choose to use it) took the bite out of the fact that it was grotesquely over priced. The couple we went with last night purchased nothing except their tickets, we'll be doing the same going forward until such time that prices become more reasonable. I would seriously advise that making your customers feel appreciated rather than like captive animals waiting to be gouged would go a long way to increasing your food sales and making every bit as much as what you do by gouging folks and leaving a bad taste in their mouths no matter what they try and wash it down with. I dare say that if you dropped your concession prices and marketed the good news properly and adequately, it would eventually even have a positive affect on increasing the number of movie goers to your establishment. Give our cousins' south of the border credit for maybe knowing what they are doing when it comes to business......let go of the old-school Canadian business mentality of "sell little at ridiculous prices" and adopt the American "sell volumes at lower prices" and you'll see business not only increase, but prosper simply because your customers will feel valued rather than abused. Please treat us like deserving customers and not useful idiots.

Went to watch Ghostbusters Afterlife, at the 10:30PM showing. The movie is a great family movie. Popcorn was really sad 60% of the popcorn was rice crispy sized. That said we had the entire D-Box section to ourselves.

Only one of their 12 theaters has reserved seating availability, and most of the time the reserved seating is only for one film during that movie's opening week. On top of that, you have to spend >16 bucks to get the seat you want. The only way to get the seat you want in any of their other 11 theaters and save 12 bucks is to show up an hour early on Tuesday's to be sure that you are first in line for the movie you want to watch, which means you will have to waste an hour of your time unless you bring a gaming device or friends to chat with to pass the time. No healthy food available, and the food that is there is ridiculously overpriced. The majority of the staff are not friendly. Their sound and video quality is decent, and the only thing this theater has over the downtown theater is lower ticket prices (except for ultra AVX) and their points system. But the downtown theater sound and video quality is far better, has far more comfortable seats, and all of the downtown movies have reserved seating. The staff at the Imagine theater downtown are way more friendly, and will even lead you to your reserved seat. Imagine cinemas is far better than Silvercity.

Very expensive but a great night out. Tryed a yogurt there which was really gross. We seen the maze runner and there new theater is incredible. The sound is so clear and loud it will shake the ground. My only concern was the cleanliness. Bathroom were really bad and main hallway as well.

I was very unhappy today (dec 18th) i went to go see the new justice league movie and the whole experience was ruined!!. First off they didn't bother to have a pre-show then once the movie started they didn't turn off the lights. And to top it off we couldn't see the first 10min because the picture was lost then when it returned the bottom half where the subtitiles should be was gone. We saw only the top half of the words. My family went out to have a nice night and it seemed like the cineplex staff couldn't be bothered to put any effort into the show. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism.

Covid conditions were in place with social distancing and great reduced capacity. The GM himself welcomed everyone back at the door for my showing. Paid for everything with scene points with no issues. Tenet was great in theatre, would've been hard to keep up otherwise.

Need more cashiers i go on a regular basis and there is never enough cashiers and not enough cashiers combined with inexperience equals terrible quality service, everything else is decent just need to work on more cashiers when theres big lineups. Maybe management should be reviewed.

The movie cut out just before the last speach and didn't cut in until part way through the credits. When I complained and asked for a refund they refused to give it to my friends and I. I later found out that I missed the lead into the sequel which I find very disappointing. Other then this the theater itself is mediocre
