Challenging times with Covid, but we managed a nice night out to see a Movie at the local cinema. Bought tix online. Parked in back and the doors at back were locked. Walked around to the front to get in. Not sure if that's changed by the time u read this.

They have a fantastic selection of pop and the avx theater is really nice as well as the arcade and lounge. The bathrooms are usually not great but that is too be expected in high traffic areas. But another positive is that even when your theater is completely full you will never feel cramped.

Pretty much the go to spot around here for movies. Xscape is outfitted with good games, but a complete lack of rotation is a bummer. Screens and audio are nice, but so are every other theatre's.. Pretty busy, usually.

I understand it’s a slow time with covid , but the quality of the popcorn shouldn’t be an issue . When one spends 28 $ on 2 large popcorn through Uber eats i would expected to it to be somewhat fresh . You can tell just by looking at it that it’s old and stale . The fact it made it to the bag is the issue. Disappointing.

First I'm starting off with saying that the cinema is great and clean. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is that my friends and I went to subway to eat and we came back with our drinks because we already payed for them. Turns out that they make us dump it because they want a couple extra dollars.

I was in the movie theatre and my friends was on her way, when she arrived the doors were locked and the workers were aware she was locked out and they ignored her and didn't let her in, I went down to open the door for her and then I got locked inbetween the two doors and they ignored me until I waved my ticket. They acted like they didn't see us (go to aurora ciniplex)

Staff are friendly, and I applaud Cineplex for hiring people with disabilities. Was in the AVX theatre and only bad thing to point out was there was garbage still in our seats. I always order tickets online before but realized last night they completely eliminated staff at the box office. Can't complain about prices, it's just the nature of the movie industry. Highly recommend this theatre!

One of the better Silvercity Cinemas that I have been to. Not to many people go here, the crowd is more quiet and the service is a lot better. Never had any issues here, they keep the place quite clean and the location is just perfect. They always have enough parking.

Had a great time with my friends watching Venom: Let There Be Carnage and it was almost empty, though one thing I didn't like was how after the movie some people in auditorium didn't took their empty popcorn bags and drinks to the garbage bin. I would like that to be changed to where everyone picks up their own stuff and puts it in the trash instead of having one staff cleaning up the whole auditorium cause a few couldn't be responsible over themselves.... I hope in the future or next time I visit, they enforce that rule or make it into a rule. Thanks!

Had a staff member tell me it didn't really matter when I showed him my scene card. He didn't give me the discount which wasn't a big deal but I thought it was quite rude for him to have told me the discount wasn't worth much so he didn't have to fix his error.

My time there was not bad at all, but the prices were high, $10 for 1 ticket, almost $20 for a medium popcorn and medium drink (no free refills on the drink though I don't think the employees care). And while you wait for your movie you can pay $5 to play maybe 3 arcade games. Good movie bad prices.

Place is starting to fall apart. Lining up to fill your own pop was ridiculous. Took forever and people didn't know how to work the machine or what to choose. Dumb concept when people are trying to get to their seats etc. Place used to be awesome... not going back.

Ticket line was innefective and the online ticket pickup kiosk was not functioning. I was able to have the person at the consession stand print my tickets. The drink station allows customers to fill their own cups and the kids are right beside the cups but the straws are nowhere to be seen. They are located on a table 30 feet away from where you get your drinks. SMH.

It's big and roomy, though not overly clean. The arcade area is of course very expensive but it can be a lot of fun if you're looking to splurge. They aren't exempt from the usual complaints of overpriced concession, either. Overall not a terrible theatre but I definitely recommend taking advantage of their cheaper Tuesday options!

So we went last night. Ive been going since the place was built. Cinema 1- free guy. Something is wrong with the projector. It was to dark or out of focus or something. I did mention it to the staff but even my wife told me during the trailers she thought it was off. A poor visual makes you feel like your not even watching the movie. It was odd. I'd say stock with aurora Silver city.

Ok, I get it...Radio (waves) killed the video star and you have to pay people, overhead etc...but the margins on popcorn sales ( I would choose movie theatre popcorn and peanut M&Ms mixed as the food to eat if stranded on an island) are ridiculous.

Customer service wasn't great. All the self sever kiosk stations we're out of service. It took 20 minutes for us to get our tickets. The butter was old and not pleasing at all.

We go here regularly and everytime it is a great experience the staff is friendly the facilities and theaters are always clean and the arcade is a great place to take the kiddos

Usually when I go to the movies, I have no problems. The last time I went, my family and I received horrible service. The workers were not friendly or welcoming, and did not try to work efficiently considering the long line ups they were faced with. Some were even too busy talking to each other, rather than helping customers. Given the prices they charge for tickets, food, and drinks, I believe the customer service should be much better than what my family and I received.

It's an ok Theatre. I've had good and bad experiences here. They're hit and miss like that. I guess they've been losing to much money with the games as all the claw machines were horribly rigged against the players ( claws raising up before closing ). But like I said. I've also had great times here where I've won lots also. The actual movie theater is getting old and its showing its age. A Reno is needed.

The staff are usually friendly here, and the theatres clean and well-maintained. We like the Ultra AVX option to reserve seats ahead so we don't need to arrive early to the theatre. If you do arrive early, there's an arcade with a good number of games to play.

The best part of our experience was the fact that they employ alot of staff with special needs. That was great to see. the place is clean but you have to remortgage your house to buy tickets and food. The last time we bought a hot dog there, the bun was GREEN! No apologies about it...they just refunded my money and that was it.

Came here with family and had a great time. Love paying for tickets online and picking them up at the theater - super fast and easy. As usual, food prices are ridiculously expensive and seriously lack any healthy options. Self serve drink station was a nice plus though. Seats in the theater were pretty uncomfortable and made out movie difficult to enjoy. Would like to see them upgrade seating soon so I can come to the movies more often!

Consistently the best movie theatre north of the GTA. Love being able to buy cider and beer at the cash now for regular movies! Interesting to see more concession staff and no customer service staff, but we were helped promptly to make a change to our movie time as there were no seats together in a crowded theatre. Parking seems to be getting busier but there’s always somewhere in the huge lot.

Silvercity Newmarket is filthy. I was bitten by a spider last Thursday in one of the theatres. When we walked in to the theatre we noticed a stench immediately. We went to our seats and shortly after we sat down I felt a sting/bite through my jacket. I had it checked by a doctor who said it was a bite, most likely a spider. The theatre needs a thorough cleaning. It always feels dirty to me. I hope management takes this seriously. If not, I will be contacting my local public health department.

Awesome cinema! They have a great soda machine inside. You know, one of those ones where you can make VANILLA COKE! Honestly that alone made this a good experience. The theater itself is also really nice inside and clean! Give this place a try next time you want to go see a movie.

We arrived 25 min before our movie started with the online purchase and were told they can scan it and the machine was down (the print self serve machine). We had to go in the line up to the concession stand and we're in that line up for another fifteen min. Non the less we got into our movie 10 min late (they were busy but staff was very rude and I assume flustered dute to the system errer). The manager should of had more staff come in if the self serve (machine) is down for the 100 bucks for my family to go see a movie and snack I'm not sure I would be back to Newmarket

Ordered the tickets from the cineplex app but got the popcorn from the stand. They do have a lot of cashiers so minimal lineup. Nice variety of food and snacks. Considering the amount of people that visit it was a clean and well maintained theatre. The seats were a little uncomfortable after an hour of sitting in them - time to upgrade. Overall nice theatre and I would recommend.

The arcade is so boring, I don't know why they even have one. It's just a waste of space. The auditoriums are big and spacious, but the brand new lounge area looked really rushed, since some of the tiles on the sides were coming off. You even have to get in a line for your food, and then get into another line for a drink. I'll be giving this place a 4.

I like going to the movies for the experience, not only to see the movies. I always get a snack and a drink. We all know what the prices are (very expensive) and I guess there’s no point in complaining about that, BUT if I pay this much money, I expect to get good quality! The fountain drink dispensers often don’t have all the drinks and what’s even worse, the drinks don’t taste right. They are diluted to the point you can’t even recognize what you are drinking (and it tastes horrible!). You also cannot get a refill of a drink that you paid $10 for. So don’t buy drinks - sneak in your own. What’s also a bit annoying is that I cannot use points to pay in the self serve terminals, I have to go wait in line at the food stand. P.S. $2 for layered butter is ridiculous!

Excellent place to watch a movie many options including 3D, DBox etc. The major downfall is how expensive it has become to take your kids to a movie. Fortunately I was gifted gift certificates because for a family of five it would’ve easily cost over $100 which is crazy. My guess is that if they don’t make admission, snack bar prices more reasonable that the Theatre as we know it will fade into oblivion. The typical family cannot afford over $100 to watch a movie , it’s a simple as that.

Was better years ago. No staff to buy a ticket from. Overpriced concession stands. Been going since it opened and the cinema seats haven't been updated since. Opening ads before the movie were extremely loud. It reminded me of the AMC cinema in Vaughan before it closed up. Better to go to Imagine Cinemas/the gem in Keswick... Or Cineplex in Aurora Stay away and hopefully things will change.

Great movie theater that has all the different types of viewing options such as ultra avx, 3d , dbox and more. Also their beverage variety is very wide now that they have a big refreshment station, with many different sodas.

The seats and cleanliness of this theatre are on the decline. They've also begun to minimize human interaction. Only one human ticket seller. When I went to the kiosk to get my ticket, someone who appeared to be management interupted me and started clicking away. I knew what I was doing and didn't help. With no line behind me, there was no reason to be rushed through like that and I found him extremely rude. So many seats and broken here. If you're not going AVX- then just stay home or go downtown for better comfort

Nice screens, good sound systems and comfortable seating. Seems to have decreased in quality since the minimum wage increase, I think costs are being cut. Cinemas and bathrooms noticeably messier than before, also double the amount of self purchase ticket kiosks compared to this time last year.

Great cinema. Very clean. Quick service and friendly staff. We had free scene points for our snacks and movie and there were no issues redeeming our points. The scene program is a really great perk. There are other cinemas closer to my house but I'll definitely go to this location over others as it was clean and staff was great.

16 different screens here! Large selection of movies. I only thing I hate are how many bloody commercials they show. My movie was scheduled for 9:20pm, sat down at 9:15, commercials played on and on until 9:38pm! That's just crazy!! Ticket prices are so high!!!

Where are all the staff. They are trying to use all these self help kiosks and 1/3 of them are out of order. My wife waited in a 15 min line so she could print our tickets she bought online. Bit of a silly concept. Not to mention 19.75 for a pop, a bag of popcorn and a medium candy...bit aggressive

I like Silver City, been going here for a dog's age but really, they have done very little to spruce up the place. Often you will pull up.at night and there are various lights burnt out in their main signage. They have all but eliminated the cashier's, those you'd purchase tickets from, yet the cost of a movie continues to soar. And really thirty some odd dollars for a small bag of popcorn, two large drinks and a couple of bags of candy? And that's a small snack. More often than not the food costs more than the price of a movie for two people. Too bad our society has gotten rid of most video rental stores!

It was an okay experience. But I won’t return during the pandemic as the staff doesn’t care who sits on what seat once in. Everyone was sitting super close to each other despite of originally having had gaps in between. Also, during the last show there’s no food available for eating inside. Not a good experience.

The movie we watch was popular and well attended but a crew member came in 4 times with a light to walk across the screen and check a paper on the wall. he then walked back stood in front of the screen to watch and look around. It was very distracting.

My husband drove to get me, and JACKIE B -- the manager,, she returned the price of the movie I hated! No joke! AMAZING! I didn't even know that was possible! Thank you, JACKIE!

Always clean, good service typical of what to expect from Silver City. Patrons need to learn manners regarding putting feet up on seat tops though; this should be addressed by management as it really puts a damper on mood when spending $100 bucks to watch a movie with family and having feet in your face.

Had a costume birthday party for my kids at the theatre. They were very accommodating to our party plans for decorations and installed a hook for our pinata. The staff were very helpful in keeping the party moving along and trained to work with Kids with autism. It was an excellent experience and I highly recommend it.

Staff we dealt with did not have the proper training, she was polite, but did not know how to redeem our gift certificate, and then told us it was full. Bathrooms were awful, not clean water all over counter, and this was the early showing (6:40pm). The coke freestyle machines were missing flavours, that were all a sticky mess and just generally unkempt. The popcorn was cold and stale, which has been the normal situation during the last few visits.

Nice movie theatre overall. Big and clean with UltraAVX auditoriums. Buy your tickets online and take advantage of the reserved seating! Concessions are very expensive and the counter is not very organized... seems like there could be a faster and more organized way to serve popcorn. They also have one of those fancy Coke machines but unfortunately when we went half of the flavours weren't working so I had to settle for plain old Coke.

Went to see Stephen King's "It" last night and was appalled to see a little boy in there along with what looked like his Mom. What kind of a Mom would take a 9 or 10 year old (at the most) to see a movie like that? And why didn't the person taking the tickets advise her that "It" was a restricted movie and that he wasn't allowed in the theatre? All the ticket takers should refuse to allow under aged children to view restricted movies.

Went for Dance Dance Revolution/In The Groove and played in the arcade for HOURS. It has tons of songs and is kept fairly well maintained other than the machine dance pads need a tuning. Obviously like most arcades it was a bit costly but …

I was amazed by the deco on the ceiling and theirs a play area for the kids. They have pizza pizza, new York fries or order hot dogs popcorn and drinks. The only thing I did not like is the popcorn was everywhere.

When it first opened this was a unique experience, with large games area, bar, and a lot of cinemas. Those things are all still there, with the addition of some new stuff, like self-serve soda fountains. Overall it is starting to feel a little dated.

This theatre is in desperate need of a reno. It is filthy, there is food between the arm resrs, the seats are ripped, and it makes my skin crawl. It is the only theatre I have ever seen that is in this kind of shape, and I go to a lot of movies, also in Richmond Hill, Aurora and Toronto. It hasn't been touched since it was built. It needs a steam clean and new seats.

I can pay 11$ in bolton for any movie and I get to sit in a faux leather recliner love seat that's always clean. plus for the same price as Ciniplex you can go to vaughn and sit in nicer newer theatres. those are the only complaints I have, but for me I only go here because everything else is so far away.

Employees are amazing regardless of what all the negative reviews say. A lot of the complaints are about little things the staff can’t change! I always visit this theatre with my family and I appreciate the major changes the theatre has gone through throughout the years. Yes, there is no longer employees there to sell you tickets, instead there is the box office machines. If you really need assistance there is usually a person on standby that is able to help you, if not you can always buy tickets at the concession (apparently not many people know this...). As for long lines, what is an employee to do? If you come during busy hours of course you will have to wait in lines. Seriously, some people expect way too much... Overall, the theatre has its little imperfections; Sometimes it does not live up to its expectations, it is not the best theatre in the world. However, employees have always made me feel welcome and I have never had a negative experience while visiting this theatre.

I have no complaint about the movie theatres. They were comfortable and the projection and sound were good.The biggest problem was the garbage and the state of the washrooms. The garbage cans are usually overflowing. The ladies washroom had stall doors that didn`t lock, and good luck finding a stall with toilet paper on the roll. In one stall, the whole toilet paper enclosure was hanging open. The sink area was rather grubby and the soap dispenser was empty. Even with the small number of staff it really wouldn`t take much effort to improve the experience.

Personally I don't like the kiosk to purchase my tickets. When trying to scan my Scene card it didn't scan. In the end had to manually input my numbers. Then tried scanning the free child's admission and it did not scan and it kicked me out and had to start all over. If the show was sold out I would have been very angry. My husband told me I can go to the concession to purchase my tickets. So that is what I did. I still prefer to deal with a live human being.

It's completely insane how clean it is in there because most movie theaters are messy and dirty at the end of the day but this one is different. The popcorn is really really buttery and also snacks are really good too. The chairs are so comfy it is crazy.

The 3D version of Dune is unwatchably dark here. That seems to be an issue with that version of the movie in general, not just this theater, but I've heard that some fancier "dual-laser" setups fix the brightness issue. If you watch Dune in 3D don't do it here! Otherwise this theater is good.

It looks like they've decided to get rid of humans that sell tickets. In their place is a row of machines that will take money and sell you a ticket, but do not seem to be able to actually print tickets. In the end I had to wait in line at the concession stand to have a manager had write me a ticket. Then we went into our movie and were told that it wasn't in 3D, which I was actually happy about. They were wrong, it was 3D and I had to back out to collect the glasses.

Always a decent cinema to go to. One complaint I have is the drink machines they have now where you can select from 100 choices of soft drink. I personally think those machines are terrible. No matter what choice of drink you select it ends up tasting like the swamp water because there are to many choices and the syrup mixtures get all blended together.

All the new Cineplex theaters with Ultra AVX Atmos and stadium seating have the new recliners. This one is a little outdated when thinking about seating but with two ultra AVX and regular stadium seating you have a better chance of seeing the movie you want on opening night because there are more seats available in the theater.

Disgusting! If I could give this no stars I would. Went in on a Sunday Evening March 19 to Watch Goon! Right when we walked in there was a massive popcorn spill all over the floor. Like literally if someone had dumped there popcorn on the floor and walked away. So we were sitting around waiting for the theater to be cleaned and that massive popcorn spill was still there ( a good half an hour had gone by and still there) Then my girlfriend went to use the bathroom and was greeted to some of the worst bathrooms she'd ever seen! ( shes from Brampton and even worked in a ciniplex so whats saying alot.) There was no toilet paper and a huge mess all over the counter and floor of paper towel. etc. Idk how runs this Silver city but clearly them and there employees don't much care about there job, the cleanliness of there work area or how the present themselves and there work place to paying customer.

We were there on Dec 2nd in the evening. There was a manager on duty. Didn't catch his name but was possibly in his 30's. So we were early. When we were in line to buy tickets ( didn't realize there are no people there anymore) this manager sees we have gift certificates, comes over and let's us know this other employee will be happy to help us, and opens the velvet rope and escorts is to where the guy helped us. I also witnessed that manager pick up a broom at least 3x doing a once around the lobby. The first time I commented "It would have been nice to have a manage like that when I worked in the service industry." I also watched him, watch a young employee clean up a spill and when the young man looked up and saw that the manager was watching him and the manager gave him an affirmative thumbs up. I found his style impressive. I think it is the way all managers should act but I don't often see it anymore. Thought it was worth mentioning.

When you don't go to the movies often this can.be confusing as I don't know what the 'd section' is and why it is more expensive. There is a staff walking around that can help but it's not the same. The drink machine is neat though. It's a self serve once you purchase your cup they have regular and diet and all kinds of flavour shots. Over priced like most Lovie theaters. A night out for two with two drinks (not alcohol) and popcorn can get very expensive.

I haven't seen a movie at this particular location in years, but we were in a couple weeks ago to see Rogue One. An employee came into the theatre 4 times during the movie with a bright LED flashlight to check a piece of paper on the wall on the complete opposite side from the entrance, then walk back and stand there for a few minutes watching the movie. Incredibly distracting because he didn't even try to shield the light and actually pointed it up into the seats one time. I'm not sure what he's checking or why, but at least give him a red cover for it.

Ours crashed mid transaction, which was fine because it wouldn't scan the gift coupons we had. And in the end still owed another $3 a ticket for gawd knows what reason. And paying $31 for two popcorns, two drinks and some m&ms always makes my blood boil. Stand in a concession line and then I have to stand in line to pour my own drink? Really? I can get a Keg steak dinner for less. The movie was good.

The managers are terrible!!! The employees are great (NOT management) but everything else here is awful for the amount of money people are paying. Food is too expensive, half of the drink machines are out of order, no ticket sales area anymore so people buy them at concession stand slowing things down, no customer service desk, filthy bathrooms, the movie has gone black during the film the last 2 times I've been there (and no, it's not part of the movie) managers refused to compensate the viewers, and now they tell people scene points aren't valid when trying to use them to buy movie tickets..... and the industry wonders why people would rather stream or download at home.

Saw a dead Hawk on the sidewalk on the way in. The first two ticket kiosks I tried were out of paper on the third the bar code reader was not working. The lady beside me on another machine was grumbling that hers wasn’t working. For the price the attention to detail is poor. Oh yes and in auditorium 8 the speaker was crackling. I could buy 3 months of Netflix for the cost of two to one movie at this place. This place is dirty and dated. The seats are not comfortable. Twice recently the movie has stopped partway through. The entrances are discusting avoid the piegion dropping and cigarette butts if you can. It’s just so gross

The seats are way to small!!! There is nowhere to put your arms on the armrest with the cupholders in the way. Otherwise food and drink (including alcoholic) is good, though pricey. Sound and screen are good. Could be better but not too bad.

The machines are great for purchasing movie tickets, but sometimes you need to speak to a representative. I've missed points because the machine doesn't read the card properly or conversely I wanted to use my Scene Points and it charges me anyway. I didn't take my points but, I wanted to use my freebies

Very disappointed that there are No Real people to buy tickets from, it's all machines now. Had a lot of trouble as did the people around me trying to buy tickets. Scene Card not scanning then had to manually type in number TWICE before it worked wasting precious time in not getting a good seats! Hate NOT dealing with Actual Real People!!!

Like every other cineplex theatre its overpriced. Was told no refills which is kind of silly given the high price of a drink. Auditorium was messy even though a "cleaning crew" came out before show started. Been to better theatres.

The seats are all threadbare and the padding is so worn down that you're practically sitting on bare bars or bare wood/plastic. It's so terribly uncomfortable. If you can afford the extra time/gas, I would go elsewhere. Maybe Aurora or Barrie.

I remember when this place first opened. And every time I go it's like time travelling to the past because it hasn't been renovated since it opened. The theater I'm currently sitting in has 3 broken seats, some busted up drywall in one area, and the armrest of my seat has a sharp piece of metal sticking through it.

Always a nice theatre with a well trained staff. They now have an alcohol stand where you can buy beverages for your movie (any movie)! Some ciniplex theatres require u pay extra for a “VIP” ticket where you can order alcoholic drinks but here you grab your beverage on the way to any movie you wanna see! Lots of nice restaurants around for a pre or post movie dinner!

My husband and I recently watches a movie here, that started at 10:40 pm. I want to start ny saying, that this is an expensive place to venture. The money, however was not the issue, but the staff and service is pathetic. First of all, ansolutely nothing should close in the building before the last movie ends! We purchased drinks ans popcorn before entering the movie and when my husband went to get a refill, he was stopped by a staff memeber and he was told "ansolutely no refills" he then offered to pay for another drink and was refused, because everything was closed (the movie was only half way through). When we got there, we paid for a game card, to play games before the movie started and they closed the area that you can redeem your tokens for prizes. If you arent going to provide the same service at the late movies, that you do earlier on, then the ticket amount should be reduced. We paid over $20.00 for 2 pop and one bag of popcorn, I think its absolutely ridiculous that you cant get a free refill. Another thing...if you dont want people refilling their cups for free, then maybe the machines that stand freely and unattended (except for during the late movies, when staff memebers have nothing better to do) should be considered. We spend plenty of money here with our kids. Probably wont be returning anytime soon.

Always love going to see the movies here. They have so many things to do now so you can head from home a little early and enjoy the arcade area or have some wings and a cocktail at the licenced area which offers dinner movie deals. Theyres also a keg and Swiss chalet and Boston pizza within steps of the cinemas. It's pricey but going to the movies usually is lol. Management is very good and will fix any concern best they can.

Overall the interior is clean and well maintained, that being said, the eating area in the main lobby is lacking. There aren't enough chairs for peak times and the chairs are not suitable for the handicapped. The handicapped stall in the ladies' washroom is the last stall on the left, you have to walk the narrow corridor with people coming out of the stalls on both sides, there is a handle on the outside of the stall door to open it more easily but not one on the inside to pull the door shut. The toilet is too low for someone with knee and/or hip problems and the safety bar is too far forward and too low and I'm a short woman. FYI hand dryers blow quite a bit of cold air before they warm up which is painful to arthritic hands and there is no sink for wheelchair access. My cane slips on the wet floor in the washroom during busier times as the dryers are across from the sinks and with this being the access to the stalls, it makes for a congested and potential dangerous space for children and the handicapped.

The avx cinema has a bad subwoofer. There is serious rattling when base is delivered. I've mentioned it to management many times but no change. Seems unfair to charge for a premium experience and deliver the sound of a broken tv from the 70's.

As most people have already reviewed, yes most of the staff has been eliminated and they have been replaced with ticket booth kiosks which isn’t terrible but it’s annoying when you want to talk to a representative. When you walk into the hallway where theatres are there is an overwhelming smell of some type of mold or water damage smell. When we got into theatre 2 the smell was almost unbearable. As I sat in my seat my back pushed through the cushion to the back (due to the seats being older) and it felt like I was watching the movie on a wooden board. The outdoor lights and signs are semi burnt out and I almost ran into a HUGE spider web walking down the stairs of exit. Not my favourite cineplex to be completely honest. This is really sad to see as going here when I was younger was a completely different experience.

Always had positive experiences at this theatre and I enjoy the pulled pork sandwich probably more than I should. Generally would sit in the higher numbered theatres (like #5, #6 etc) but saw Lion King in theatre #1 last night, and that theatre is in desperate need of a renovation or revamp. The chairs have next to no space. I'm not a massive guy, but I couldn't even cross my arms without bumping the person next to me just by sitting there. Also the cup holders were oddly angled backwards and I kept feeling like my drink was going to spill. The armrest on my left side also had a spine of plastic or something coming out of it that would stab me if I put my arm on it a certain way, and the cushion for the seat was so flat that there was a bar at the back pressing against my tailbone whenever I sat upright in it.

It's been a few years since I have been to the Newmarket location. Fairly quiet there for a Friday evening. It was clean, and the movie experience was good. I was very impressed with the amount of employees with special needs. Definitely a big thumbs up!

The takeover can't come quickly enough. Filthy theatre with popcorn and garbage everywhere. Seats are tired and uncomfortable and, yes, generally very dirty. Drink machines always a mess with spilled drinks all over the counters and floor. Only reason I occasionally go here is because it's under five minutes from my home. Won't be back until Cineplex is rebranded and, hopefully, this theatre refurbished.

I like this theater quite a bit. I am new to the area and have only been here a few times, but it's nice. They sell some keto-friendly snacks and they participate in the Cineplex classic film series which is awesome! Sometimes, it's hard to find a theater that does that.

Large clean theatre with multiple AVX rooms where you can or purchase your exact seat. It costs more but I prefer it so much better. The AVX rooms also have the larger screens. If you buy popcorn and a hot dog however you have to stand in line again to pick the hot dog up at a separate location. The person I dealt with at the hot dog line was not very friendly at all.

See movies here about 2-3 times a year because it's close, but don't go more only due to the cost at the concession stand. We go to Keswick once in awhile as the films are cheaper, but the concessions are pretty much the same.

The theatre is nice and large and seats are pretty comfortable. It's very far at the outskirts of Newmarket near Costco. I didn't visit the popcorn stand so I can only comment on the experience of buying tickets. It was all kiosks with one attendant. The kiosks are beyond glitchy and we ended up needing a manager to do it manually anyway. In other words, for us, the process took much much longer than it would have if we waited in line and had a real human process our tickets. For that reason I am only giving 3 stars. It may be the only sustainable way to maintain this theatre but as a result, I'm in no hurry to go back.

Rude ticket ripper was giving attitude to everyone in line. Splitting up groups because they paid differently (app vs tickets). The screen didn't turn on for the beginning of the show. The seats are subpar to the quality of other theaters. After spending $50 on three tickets I was forced to throw out my coffee. Not great.

Good theatre's. However the ticket buying process in person is more complicated than it needs to be. Like why do I have to get my tickets at the concession stand if I have a pass or are paying in cash? I reccomend trying the D-box, as it is a really cool way to experience a movie.

Tried to set up xbox party for me and a few buddies went in management didn't know anything about it and gave me the wrong info and asked me to call later when someone was in that knew. called several times no awnser finally called customer service and had them contact me i finally booked it then they needed me to confirm the booking once again couldnt contact anyone after back and fourth between customer service and newmarket theater i gave up and cancelled if i was a parent doing a kids party this would be a nightmare

Strange that 3D glasses are only at entrance to the auditoriums and not near ones with 3D movies. You'd have to run all the way back to the entrance if you didn't pick glasses or because, like my case, your glasses are defective. Also seatings are not very comfortable in comparison to some other Cineplex cinemas in GTA. Also picture and sound were not excellent as you'd expect.

Washrooms seem dirty most of the time. Staff seem a bit nonchalant, could be better. Theatre halls aren't very big, but good enough. If you sit in the front.. of course that sucks. And the people are always making noises, which can't be helped either. Food is food and prices, like with all theatres, are over the top. Quality of film and audio are good. Tips: come a bit early, get the tickets online if possible and get the best seats. The ticket kiosks will work for most situations. Theatre is: good enough.

Scene Card wouldnt scan on the automated machine. Asked for help at the front cash and was told "not open". Tried and failed again. Asked for help the second time and was told "we normally dont do this, but I'll help you this one time". O.k. well thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to assist me, a paying customer. Sorry for asking and disturbing you! Meanwhile, not just me, but other people as well also had difficulty using the self scan and began to line-up right behind me. I had pre-bought my tickets at Costco and for the second straight time (movie)had difficulty using the automated machines. Completely frustrating experience. Line up for concessions was brutally slow as well. Check the camera's, there were two people (groups) in front of me and I must have been in line for close to 25 minutes. Missed the beginning of the movie with my daughter. (Thanks Cineplex!) Time was 4:10 when we lined up at or around there. I was in line with my daughter. Line closest to the Cinema 8 entrance. Didnt get our seats until 4:35. Poor kid had behind the counter had zero support helping him and couldnt remember what the previous orders were. I dont expect 5 star service from a 15 year old, but I do expect "Management" to notice and step in to help. Non-existent! The movie was great "A Wrinkle in Time". But everything leading up to it was just terrible. $40 of complete frustration. Friday March 16. ???? You failed today Cineplex.
