My best friend and I usually pick this theatre - it is easy for us to both access right off the highway, and we love the reclining loveseats! We recently brought her 5 year old in to see a regular viewing of the Grinch - he loved it! The whole experience was amazing, with the exception of the line up to get food - it filled the whole maze and was pretty slow going. I arrived with ample time, so it wasn't a problem, but an express route for people that have their tickets and just want a drink would be ideal!

Great Cinema, love the Atom app they have as well. You can order everything ahead of time on it and just walk right in with out having to wait. The recliners are awesome as well especially since you can raise the middle arm and turn it into a loveseat style recliner.

My favorite memory is going to see Finding Dory with my friend, the power went out and the movie got interrupted for maybe 10 minutes because of a tornado warning. Everyone was calm and we were kept well informed. After the break, the movie finished smoothly and just because they're all about customer satisfaction they went over board and gave us all 2 free tickets. By far the best theatre, with the most well trained and polite staff, I've ever been to, ever.

I saw The Last Jedi on Tues Dec 19. It was my first time at the new Landmark. It was, by far, THE BEST movie going experience I've ever had in my 60 years. Those recliners are incredibly comfortable, the icing on the cake of a great sound system, clean facilities and very fair prices. I usually go to the movies maybe 2x a year. I'll now be going 2x a month at least. I've already bought tickets for Jumanji and Downsizing. Incredible experience!

Much Better than ciniplex! We get coupons and gift crds for ciniplex and still go to Landmark. Its cleaner, food is much better, prices are comparable, seating in the theatre is great. It is newer so i hope that this place doesnt go down hill! It is hands down the better option in Kingston to see a movie!

Really great cinema. About 15 cash registers, all open on a busy night. Some good deals on food, even though it's still really expensive for drinks ($5.99 large pop, $4.99 bottle of water). Recliner seats (nom-IMAX) are really comfortable and wider than those at Cineplex. Washrooms are really modern and were clean when I was there.

I like the seats - they recline and there's lots of space in the row. The theatres and bathrooms are always clean. They switched their popcorn from when they first opened and it's not as good, but it's still good enough that I always order it. I like the new Atom app they promote.

Went there and watched hobbs and shaw movie with fiance ordered popcorn and pop quick service. Was kinda disapointed tho when entering the theatre and payed for recliners show and not see recliners. Other than that really enjoyed the imax the sound is amazing for action film.

It took me a few visits to get use to going to getting the tickets from the machine the seat is comfortable enough but I am a short person and have to sort jump to get into the seat and it is a bit harder to go from recline to seating up and getting out of the chair.

Comfy seats! Really weird experience when we went to see a film and it was just my partner and I in the theatre and one other couple. For some reason they got seats right beside us though. Like, who does that? You had the whole theatre to choose from! It was uncomfortable to say the least. Also the employees think it's weird when I used a coupon for a medium popcorn and ask for a small! Im trying to watch my caloric intake and it's still a better deal to get the coupon! :(

New and fancy! IMAX, 3D and normal showings. Small arcade when you walk in and lots of seating which is nice if you need to wait for people or a show. Would be nice if they had some small restaurant type choices, New York Fries or a frozen yogurt place, something like that. Theaters are nice and spacious. Free reserve seating and recliners in some theaters as well!!

Much prefer this theatre to the Cineplex! The volume isn't overpowering but it is loud enough, and you get to pick your seats beforehand! Huge bonus. The tickets are a smidge cheaper than at the Cineplex as well. Oh, and the popcorn is better ;)

A very good cinema, the floors and the seats are clean and the employees are very welcoming. One of the staff was very good with my group (we were 7 guys), her name is Heather, it's been and we had a great service. The only problem I had at Landmark was during the late evening showtimes (10 PM+), the staff closes the drink machines around 10:20-10:30 PM which makes it impossible to have refills.

I pre purchased tickets online. Due to my car breaking down can't get to the movies. I know refunds are done in the theater. But they refused to help do a refund online or over the phone. Live 40 minutes away they expect me to rent a car or walk in order to get my refund. At least with galaxy they do refunds over the phone. Won't waist my money at landmark ever again.

Worst customer service from the "manager" we bought the tickets from Costco and forgot the stubs at home cause we used them online, kids were excited for their popcorn and drink. We showed our online ticket but we're told we couldn't get the kids pack without the physical paper, asked if there was anything they could do, and wasn't even offered a cup if water. We honestly thought the tickets were connected online. Meanwhile there isn't one other customer in this theatre, so chances are the popcorn is just going to be thrown out.

Lots of machines to buy tickets at the entrance. Several drink machines so not much line up. Pump your own dirty margarine butter on the popcorn so you don't have to feel shame unless someone behind you is waiting and they're concerned about the amount your piling on said popcorn. Seats are great for cuddles and the theatre was nice and warm. The only downside is that it costs like $100 to go see a movie anymore. But this is the place to go toss your money away!

First time to see the IMAX movie theatre at landmark for capital Marvel and it was a great movie but the seating was pretty tight not comfortable as the normal theater. Food was pretty good stuff wasn’t that bad. Wish they were more happy. We went to the movies during the day at 4:00 PM on Monday.

Decent movie theater. Less crowded then the Cineplex alternative. The line for food can get long so make sure you get in line early enough to not miss the first part of your movie. Bathrooms are typical movie theater bathrooms fairly clean with plenty of stalls.

Normally don't have an issue but we went to see black widow and us along with 20 other moviegoers (not with us) were kicked out of the theater. We were told we weren't allowed to buy popcorn and had to stand in the rain until the movie began. By the time we were allowed inside the movie had already started and we had missed the first 5-10 minutes as we then had to wait to get concessions. If someone would have explained it was due to some covid protocol (maybe too many people in the theatre) I could have understood but us along with everyone else were just told to wait outside with no explanation given (we had also already bought our tickets). Horrible service and at nearly 20$ a ticket I'll just stick with cineplex.

Landmark Cinemas is an awesome experience. The concessions are a bit pricy, but still on par with Cineplex. The atmosphere from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave is very appealing. Play some games or relax in a comfy chair while you wait for your show to start. Self serve ticketing is an excellent option. Movie seating is as great as you can hope for in Kingston. If you really want to relax while you watch a movie, this is the place to go.

I usually go to the movies about twice a month, but since I moved to Kingston in 2017, I've mainly gone to Cineplex since it's closer to where I live and I get points there. But recently I had some issues with them that aren't related to the local theater, but the company itself, so I decided to start going to Landmark more. Overall I've been really happy with the experience. Even though it's a bit more distance to get there, not having to deal with Gardiners Road traffic actually makes it about the same travel time from the West end of Kingston. Parking at the Landmark theater is great. They have a nice, big lot with plenty of spaces and no extra traffic. Even at peak times, I've never had a hard time getting a spot there. The interior feels a little bland right in the main entry, but at least it's nice and open. The arcade section isn't immediately noticeable though, I didn't even realize it was there until maybe my third visit. It's sort of tucked away behind a wall. The lineup for the concession stand is great. They have a snaking lineup that feeds into all the available concessions, which I really like since you don't have to worry about picking the "best line". Sometimes it feels like they could have more staff working, but as long as you show up with plenty of time before your movie, it's no big deal. The drink machines are kind of nice, they give you a ton of different options to choose from. I wish there were some less sugary options, but it could be worse. Food and drink are fairly pricey, but that's pretty standard for movie theaters I guess. Easily the best part about Landmark is the seats. In every screening room except the IMAX, they have fantastic reclining seats that are all reserved seating (IMAX is reserved too, but not reclining). When you book them you'll see that they're in pairs. Each pair has an armrest in the middle that can be raised, turning the whole thing into a reclining love seat. It's great for couples who want to sit closer together, but even if you're going with more than two people, the pairs are still close enough together that you don't feel separated from each other. And if you happen to end up in one of the pairs with someone you don't know, you can just leave the center armrest down and it doesn't feel like you're sitting in the same seat or anything. The IMAX seats were just replaced/revamped in December 2018, and they're much better than before. They still use a fold down seat design, but the material is a lot more comfortable than they used to be. They're still nowhere near as good as the recliners, but they're definitely an improvement, and easily tolerable for a 2.5 hour movie. So far, I haven't had any issues with any staff at Landmark. They've all been very polite, and helpful when I had questions. One thing I'd like to see, which goes for any theater, would be a monthly or yearly subscription package. So you would pay a certain amount for maybe 2-3 movies a month, at a big discount compared to buying individual tickets, and then just buy your snacks/drinks when you go to the theater. I think it would workout well for them since they'd have people going to movies more often than they normally would, so they would make extra money from selling concessions anyway. Overall, it's a great movie theater. Prices are on par with most other places, and it's nice to see that they have a pretty good military offer year-round. If they had recliner seating in the IMAX, I'd just about call it perfect.

Ok so landmark was my second choice for somewhere to go watch the movie but man they have upgraded. Most of the seats are set up as love seats. You can actually raise the dividing arm and they are recliners. So comfortable. And if you buy the tickets at Costco it saves a bunch of money

Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 3D with recliner seating and reservations was a good way to make our first visit to the Landmark Cinemas. Normally, we go to the nearby Cineplex but something different was in order in the holiday season. Everything at the Landmark was quite spacious, including the parking lot, the entrance, the washrooms and the theatre. A large popcorn and drink came with our ticket and the staff were pleasant and efficient. With feet up, we sat back and enjoyed the show. We subsequently learned it was the second biggest opening weekend in history.

I prefer this now to the cineplex. The downside is similar in that Cinema 10 there is crappy and you are most of the time forced to choose premium options for your films whether you like it or not or wait a week. I saw La La Land last year in that theatre and the sound and picture quality was terrible everybody hated the film worse than it deserved. For what we pay in both theatres we shouldn't have to pay more than $10.

Don't believe a word they say about extra cleaning due to covid, quite the opposite. While I was using the washroom I watched an employee walk in, take about 5-10 seconds to visually inspect the stalls/counter, and check marked EVERY item on the checklist (on the wall, so yes I confirmed that everything that the employee DIDN'T DO was checked). This employee couldn't do their job, which is putting other people's lives at risk. Extremely unprofessional, this needs to be addressed asap and employees should be retrained on proper cleaning.

Love the big seats they have. The concession stand has a lot of options for snacks and drinks. The theatres aren't too cold, so you likely won't need a sweater. The only thing I didn't like is that I went to watch a movie on the IMAX screen, and it looked virtually undistinguishable from their normal seats, and that theatre doesn't even have the big comfy reclinable chairs.

Great place to catch a movie. Was originally a City, but was sold to land mark. Means you get great screens, but with friendly service and with better pricing options. Catch a movie before noon and it is $6.50!! Food is standard movie fare. Also offer discounts for Canadian Forces members which I thought was a classy touch.

I have been to this cinema several times. The individual cinemas are quite nice. The place is fairly new and has nice seating and sightlines. The Imax picture is quite good, maybe the best in eastern ontario. To me, that is the main recommendation for the cinema. It only has one concession stand and the amenities are not quite as good as Cineplex. All reserved seating is a nice feature too.

We didnt realize there wasn't recliner seating in the IMAX (yet) and they were very accommodating in allowing us to exchange our tickets. They didn't even seem slightly bothered! I do look forward to having an IMAX experience with recliner seating though!

Nice movie theatre. All seats are leather and adjustable. I think they have 10 separate theatre's. Prices are not too bad. Good combo deals. The soda machine can dispense 30 plus varieties of pop. Lots of free parking available and is fully wheelchair accessible.

i love the atmosphere here not too busy that youre worried but busy enough that you dont hear the best crickets chirp. They have by far the best recliners, more padding raised off the ground and in all of their theatres. The staff are friendly usually young, the person who helped us the last couple times jack has always been great to deal with!

If you need to wait in the concession line expect about a 30+min wait during "peak" times (Saturday night). There were only 3 registers open and one person on the popcorn machine. The coke fountain machines don't seem to be maintained or need to be replaced because the touch wasn't responding properly. Got canada dry ginger ale (original flavour) but it was super watered down. Did not taste at all like ginger ale.

We had a positive experience. It was a large theatre with stadium seating with reclining seats. My only criticism was the uncomfortable lack of air conditioning that left me sweating through the movie

Best There is in Kingston, clean space, polite staff, best seats - great for my kids as the kids flip up the arm rest and use the rocking/recline movement to situate themselves in a good position to cuddle and watch...popcorn is always fresh, and the facility is sooooo much cleaner then the other theatre options especially the bathrooms. I get lots of scene points probably have enough currently for four or five free movies but we never go we always go to Landmark. The coupon packs are just as cost effective anyways.

AMAZING leg room!!! (6'1" and 6'7"). Quiet during the week (my preference). Great customer service, always fast. Easy to get to, lots of parking. Movie audio was not too loud. :)

Refreshing to see a movie in theatre. We felt covid-safe at all times....the measures taken by Landmark actually make the theatre experience better than before. Seats are now socially distanced pleather couches with footrests, very comfortable. Staff was courteous and attentive to covid safety as well. Great experience, the kids loved it after almost two years without a theatre outing.

Do Not Ever Go To IMAX Here!!!!! Omg it is aweful. They charge you 5$ more per person for a worse experience. They do nit even have recliner chairs in the imax theater, but all the other ones have it. Waste of money, just gotl to the regular one. More comfortable, more room and a better experience. Landmark IMAX is a joke. Do not even bother.

We go as a family outing. I am not a fan of choosing my seat at concession but thankfully we tend to get a theatre nearly or totally to ourselves so if unhappy with chosen seats, we swap to a more preferred location. The drink choice is extensive though mildly irritating having to get my own when hands are already full. Not all taste as they should. Popcorn occasionally tastes off, burnt or something but most of our times it's been edible. I like the reclining seats. Staff has always been pleasant in my experience. I like the dim lighting in the theater. Bathrooms are generally clean and are modern. Though as someone that likes to wash and dry my hands properly and thoroughly, the odd empty soap container makes finding soap an annoyance and unsanitary air dryers are not my favorite things when I might want to eat with my hands knowing that they are clean and sanitary. I'll be happier if and when I can leave the bathrooms feeling like I've just come from a scrub room with dried, sanitary hands.
