As always, I love this theatre. It’s much smaller/quieter than the Lansdowne cineplex, with a huge variety of shows - even anime, old movies, and more. The seats we got (for Candyman) were VERY comfy, even if they didn’t recline. I honestly really like it here just for how “calm” it is. I’ve never seen the bathrooms with a huge line-up even post-movie, which is also a bonus. There’s a pretty big restaurant here too, which is expensive (but they always are) and has a nice selection of foods, if you don’t want just popcorn. Before you check-out, there’s also some cute stands filled with plushies and other movie-related toys! There’s also the usual arcade area, though, I didn’t check to see if it was still running with the pandemic. All in all, my favourite out of the cineplex theatres in Ottawa.

Decent theatre, but there is a decided lack of non-3D showings for movies, and since more and more movies are in 3D these days, this becomes a problem. There is usually only one non-3D showing, in the middle of the day, and it is always in theatre 6, the smallest screen at the back of the cinema. If, like me, you do not like 3D, this becomes rather aggravating.

If you don't mind the following then go for it. :) - the lights are not completely shut off - single door and very close to the seats. People in and out makes it super noisy - the projector is not aligned so the vertical lines don't look in parallel.

I have lived in Ottawa for 5 years and my house is conveniently right by South Keys. I was happy to see that we lived next to a theatre that had an open arcade to play in while waiting for a movie or to kill time. However, the past few times that I have come to this arcade it has just been a pile of disappointments, I walk in and see that the air hockey machine is out of order, sad and confused I look to another machine to play that is also out of order. Please fix the machines. Thank you.

My only complaint is I reserved two seats for a movie online and selected the seats myself, upon arriving in the theater room I found out one of the seats I reserved wasn't even there, I ordered for C1 and C2. C1 was no where to be found, I mentioned this to the staff and they told me to take the back seats for the wheelchairs, when I go to take the seats those ones are being used. Was forced to sit in the front row in the corner, had a hard time watching the movie. Makes no sense to have a seat on the site that isn't even in the room itself.

Not the best theatre. Has pretty bad sound and the 3d movies are never calibrated correctly. But because of this there is always space here to watch new releases here that are usually sold out in other theatres. If you don't mind the low quality it's worth going to. Empty theatre sometimes too. Went there again recently and they fixed the sound and picture quality of the 2d film. I may visit again to see if they fixed their 3d

I noticed that when I was in auditorium number three yesterday evening for the 9:55 showing of Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, there was no one to close the doors, so fellow movie goer had to. I and my friend were surprised that no Cineplex staff member were there to close it. We hope, for your cinema's sake, that this is not a new habit.

Quite possibly the worst main stream theatre in Ottawa. In need of a massive renovation, the space just is not on par with other theatres. Short backed seats, with little leg room, and often many seats that are broken. We live in this area and happily drive further to avoid this theatre. Too bad... use to be nice 20 years ago.

Love the bad reviews for this place, people are so whiney and inconsiderate. The smallest things cause the biggest uproar for some people. Having worked in customer service for a decent number of years, I definitely sympathize with the workers that had to put up with some of you. I'm giving this place a five star for that reason alone. It's a movie theatre people! You'd swear some people think that they were in a lavished theatrical establishment with the Queen of England by their side or something. Hahaha.

Found the whole complex generally dirty..ladies washroom smelled of urine. There was no box office cashier on a Monday so had to use one of the machines to pay.Our friend was using a gift card to pay admission and her machine couldn't finish the transaction so then had to stand in a long line at the only cashier at the concession counter and wait till everyone there was served their food etc. We won't go back! Landmark Cinemas in Kanata are so much nicer

The seats are decent for just average seats (although if you can, go to the Cineplex on Carling with the lounge seats) and the movie itself was a good experience for an average theatre. The issue lies with the concession items there - the fountain drinks are warm even with ice in it, and the popcorn was colder than the drinks. When you’re paying $26 between two people it’s completely unacceptable. If you decide to go here - skip the snacks.

Went on the 13th and the place was working on a skeletal crew. Love going to the movies and having theater popcorn. Hugely annoyed because the popcorn was all kernels and largely burnt. When the movie was over the stand was closed so I couldn't return it. What a waste of money. Little careless and disappointing.

Not the fanciest of Cineplex theatres that I have been to, but clean inside, and quality entertainment. It is much less busy than other theatres in the area, which is an added bonus! Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend (although this location does not seem to get as many titles as some other locations!)

Disgusting bathrooms. Looks, feels and smells like the ghetto. Food options are very limited. And the available food options require you to refinance your home to eat till you are full. Popcorn, drinks, all of it. Its a gouge. Theatres are in decent shape. Staff is usually on point and always willing to help. I would imagine they feel like they would need to be extra nice considering they know they are bankrupting people for a few squeezes of butter on a few handfuls of corn kernels.

Here to watch Bollywood movie 'Antim: The Final Truth'. This location is one of the smallest of Cineplex locations, but it's the only one that plays Bollywood movies, cuz there are many brown residents here. ☻ The place is well-maintained. Not super-modern though. It's doable. The bathroom is pretty clean, and kept tidy. Social distancing at urinals too. -What you need to know during pandemic: Have your Ontario Health Ministry COVID-19 vaccination proof handy + A piece of ID + Movie ticket(if you got one already). I had all three on my phone, so it was pretty convenient. -Ethnic movies(Bollywood) -Clean premises -Tasty snacks to keep ya munching throughout the movie -Not crowded at all during 3:45pm. -Decent screen size given the small audience. I had a pleasant experience. ????

I'm rating this compared to my other movie experiences in Ottawa and I'd say that this is a solidly run theatre but not exceptional, nor would I say it's a great 'cinematic experience'. Food is movie theatre standard: over priced and salty. I've seen a few movies here and the only thing I'd say people might get turned off by is the locals kids hanging out here, usually smoking right at the entrance. In my most recent experience, a family was THE LOUDEST IN THE PLANET and not a single staff member did anything. Granted it was a children movie but it was the parents that wouldn't shut up. Suffice to say it's my least favourite of the Cineplex/Landmark theatres in town. If I could put it another way, I'd see a comedy here but not a blockbuster super hero film.

I've been coming to this theatre since the week it opened, and can honestly find no fault with it. You almost have to wonder, with some of the negative reviews about things like seating, how on earth we'd all managed to enjoy ourselves before. I recognize that I may be in the minority here, but I'm not particularly interested in spending extra money for larger reclining seats; the older ones suit me just fine, and I appreciate having somewhere smaller & less busy to go. As for complaints about the lower number of staff, as well, we need to take a moment to consider that this is the reality of the world we live in, now; it's the same everywhere we go, and we did it ourselves... we shop online & watch nearly all of our movies from home, too... of course theatres can no longer justify employing the same number of people they once did. Let's all just make the most of our old world while we still can ????????‍♀️

The deodorizer was so strong in theatre at 640pm show, my eyes were irritated. Then when we walked to main entrance to leave the smell got stronger. This was Sunday Oct 14th 2018. With that strong of a scent, what are they covering up???

I have a lot of good memories of going there over the years with friends, classmates, relatives. Its what you'd expect from any generic theatre. They arent super strict about bringing in bags either. Ive brought grocery bags in with food as well and had no issues.

Food at the Outakes concession stand was delicious andreasonably priced. Theatre seats were high back enough to support our necks however tjere are no recliners. A/C was outrageously cold. Luckily I brought a heavy jacket but still found it too cold. Had I not brought the jacket, I would have been forced to leave before the end of the movie.

Horrible. Not just is the theatre stuck in the early 90s looks but it allows drunks and tards to come on-board the rooms and disturb the movie playing. One time there where 2 drunks in the middle of the movie, standing up, burping and talking to themselves. The food court is not that attractive either

The theaters are almost always empty which is actually a good thing, so if you want to catch the premiere of your favorite show you wont be waiting in queue for the tickets rather you will have the entire hall to yourselves minus a few seats. The seating places are not strict which means you can sit anywhere you want in the hall as long as its not occupied.

Finally I could return to a movie theater. I was missing it. The movie theater has a good structure with many options of entertainment and several rooms. All the time I've been there the staff were friendly and helpful. Snacks are a bit costly but every movie theater they are. I recommend it.

Here is the most luxury movie theatre in the Ottawa region. VIP theatres are wonderful including comfortable double seats ???? which are perfect for couples and the food they serve before moves are amazing. Think you don’t need to bring your popcorn ???? and drink ???? in to the show room since they are going to bring it right to your seat. Not only that, you have much more options than only hotdog. If you get there earlier no worries there are some entertainment stuff.

Not the fanciest theatre but it is south keys so you can't expect much. The seats are nice and new (at this point), and it's a fullt functional theatre! There's only one bathroom though which is annoying, luckily the theatre isn't that busy. Also near a bus stop so commuting to this location is easy.

In the past couple of months, I attended some Odeon Cineplex Events (Opera and Stage shows). On a couple of those occasions, the volume was so low that it could hardly be heard. This forced some audience member to go looking for staff in order to turn the volume up. This theater needs to be more attentive to volume levels. Why doesn't a staff member check the sound levels once the show has started to make sure that they are adequate?

I went to watch the movie Yesterday. As per usual the theatre is very clean as are the washrooms the staff is always friendly and helpful. Lots and lots of free parking. It's also right next door to a couple of restaurants so if you want to grab a bite to eat before the movie you can park the car walk to Montana's and then over to the theatre.

Went to see Dr. Strange in 3D at 9:55 last night and was by far the worst experience. Throughout the entire movie 1/4 of he screen was totally out of focus and the picture was often blurry/felt like I was seeing double or triple of everything. At first I thought it was just me, but I asked some of the other patrons after the movie and they also said the picture quality was awful. I paid to see something in 3D and left with a huge headache instead. Doesn't take much to make sure the picture quality is good before you charge people 16$ for reserved seats to a 3D movie.

NOPE!! apparently every other theatre in existence can shell out free refills, heck even free popcorn refills but even after speaking with the manager we could not get a simple free refill on a sprite after spending $23!!!! the seats are garbage, the theatre is dated. You pay the same here as anywhere else so why not take the extra time and get your moneys worth elsewhere. Never going again... TERRIBLE SERVICE

The colours were off on the screen. First everything was purple, then it was like they turned off the purple entirely (significantly less red and blue tones) and everything looked yellow and washed out for the entire movie. We informed the staff twice that the colours were off but they said the movie was supposed to look that way (it wasn't - we'd watched numerous trailers for it). Overall, a disappointing experience, especially when you haven't seen movies in a long time thanks to lockdown! Edit: I don't seem to be able to respond to the question asked, so I am adding this edit. It was Jungle Cruise. We couldn't even tell that her blouse was blue (it looked off-white), or that he had a red ascot (it looked faded pink).

The Manager, Jason B., at SiverCity Ottawa offered up some of the slimiest customer service I have ever experienced! Lost a see-through thermos I had bought for my young daughter, used specifically for tap water-darned thing worth $20+. I called for the manager when staff couldn't locate it after it had been left for a few minutes in an empty theatre where staff were cleaning up, and within seconds he darted straight to...well, another customer must have stolen it. Well no, thievery is not the most plausible scenario here...clearly the staff had thrown it out. I just wanted him to offer to take my name and number and call me if it turned up, but his managerial skills are clearly on the 'defensive' rather than the helpful, customer-friendly side. He didn't want my name and number to maybe call me if it was found because he made it very clear that he would not assist in 'my problem.' He was unkind, unfriendly and certainly didn't care one bit about being helpful. The guy must resent his customers because he most definitely seems to be quite over taking any pride in his work. How sad for him.

Very, very loud, but as good as most theatres in Ottawa, with one huge exception. The so called handicap washroom is barely accessible at all. It is most frustrating to manoeuvre one's wheelchair in the stall after entering. Had to call for help to turn it around to exit. It is barely accommodating. The room could be enlarged by opening up the stall beside the handicap one; and the toilet should be replaced with one which is 19" in height. That would necesditate moving the hand bar and tissue holder.

If you're buying a regular movie ticket, make sure you get the furthest seat available from the screen. After the 3rd row you'll have to bend your head upwards to see what's on the screen. Very painful and not enjoyable at all. Kind of surprised they even have the seats right next to the screen.

Their seating arrangement is almost flat (like in a church).my college classroom has better elevation than this... I'm completely disappointed with the projection and surround sound quality of the theatre as well. Avoid watching your favorite movies at this location. You can opt for this only when you don't require a complete movie experience or you enjoy watching movies on your TV(Netflix and A prime) at home.

Showed up with some passes and had no problem processing them. We even had a staff member walk us to the concession and then to the entrance of the theaters. This is the closest Cinema to our house. Every time I go the popcorn is cold and stale, they never make as needed, when needed. I have complained on three different occasions and have gotten fresh popcorn but by the time you factor getting a manager, explaining the issue and getting fresh popcorn, it takes an additional twenty minutes. The managers are also very indifferent, each time coming out of the back office off the entrance. Maybe they should spend time with their staff and customers rather than manage remotely from the office! Anyway, whenever possible I go to the Cineplex on Carling, a bit more of a drive but those managers do manage the business, clean and good and hot popcorn.

This theatre is okay, but compared to the other ones in the city it is actually the worst. The service at the front for snacks is good, but it's easy to notice that it is very dirty. Also, the majority of the people that come here are very loud and surprisingly when watching movies everyone is loud, or on their phone, or yelling or laughing and no one does anything. This is a recurring experience.

Went to see spiderman, worst crowd I've ever had to see a movie with. Constant talking, constantly taking their phones out, snapchatting during the movie, eating louder than I thought humanly possible. The seats were very uncomfortable and the sound quality was very subpar. I'd recommend any other theater in Ottawa, I've only had better experiences in every single one.

Audio went out on opening night of a movie. They could not fix it and took their time to give me a refund. Waste of time.

Went there yesterday only to find out that "my" movie theater had sound issues with only the front channel (dialogue) working properly. Music was only faintly audible from the front left. The manager wouldn't acknowledge the problems and said that this was intended by the director!? Too bad that this had already been an issue during the previews with the new TOP GUN trailer playing without music. Very low quality cinema and will definitely avoid it in the future, especially with all the extra COVID safety rules.

Good enought theater but compared to Coliseum or Landsdowne the old style cramped seats suck. Food and snack area options aren't great, but there's a convenient Montana's just across the parking lot.
