Nice theatre. While there are plenty of ATM style ticket sales, I couldn't find a normal service desk style ticket sales person to ask questions so don't be surprised otherwise a nice theatre with friendly staff. The popcorn we got was not the greatest. It was a weird stale taste. Screens are good and seating area was clean.

Never have any problems here. If the lines are packed it doesen´t take long before you reach the front. Comfy seats that arent too close together. Love the old light gun arcade machines.

It's a good movie theatre. The service is as good as any other Cineplex, in including food and the screening. I love that's it's really close to homes, something you don't usually see. However, I really wish it had the reclining seats like most of the other locations. It's the one reason I'd still rather go to the Carling Cineplex. Also, I wish it was cleaner and picking up after yourself was more encouraged. Otherwise, it just feels like I'm watching a movie with pigs. Clean your mess people. For that reason, I'll give it 3 stars.

This is a nice neighborhood theater, but if you want reclining seats and more arcade games. I suggest going to the bigger movie theaters in Ottawa. The reason why I didn't give it five stars is that they have possibly the SMALLEST parking lot for where it is located. I hope they expand this theater as Barrhaven is only going to get bigger.

Had a little blip with the movie cutting out during a thunderstorm, but top job by the staff for not only offering a refund for people who wanted to leave, but downtime was only a minute or two. A nice local theatre, clean and never too busy.

Cineplex Odeon is a small-to-medium sized theatre that is targeted towards families with children. They have 7 screens available, the majority of which are animated/children's movies, but they do screen mature headliners if they are expected to be hits. There is a small arcade with an air hockey table and a few arcade games. The seating inside of each screening area is sub-par, IMO. The seats do not have movable arm rests, there is not a lot of leg room - the seats pale in comparison to other Cineplex cinemas I have attended, namely the 'Coliseum' located on Carling Avenue. This theatre does not provide an unpleasant experience, but it is certainly not noteworthy in any way.

Clean theatre, friendly staff, washrooms are well tended to, no problem with parking (went to movie in afternoon midweek), not as big as other theatre complexes, but if you are looking for a “Coliseum”.. go there.. overall happy except for 15+ minutes of commercials & movie previews but that’s everywhere..

Nice little theatre, not a lot of screens. Service is poor though, and the theatre is very dirty in the halls and the auditoriums. Dirty seats, like nobody takes care of them. Food is okay. Basically, nothing special. There are better theatres in Ottawa area.

I was excited to see a movie here but the power went out. The staff quickly gave us vouchers so the service was good. I'll have to follow up with this review later when I see another movie there. Updated! I went to the theatre again and watcheda 3d movie. The 3d in this theatre is top notch as is the sound. The seats are comfortable as well. Worth going to!

The manager will do nothing about people (her friends) sitting on their phone, talking, and taking selfies throughout entire movies regardless of multiple complaints from different people. Riots almost happened in the theater because people were getting very tense and upset, it felt like a very dangerous situation that was not dealt with properly and management is lucky no one got hurt.

I like this theatre - its my home theatre and I remember being around growing up in Barrhaven. I had several good times and I enjoy going regularly - sometimes twice a week. I like that the previews featured this theatre's GM. I always see him when I go with my girlfriend and he is friendly and always working hard - sometime he even greets you at the ticket stub counter. All around I like this theatre and thanks for being a fond memory of growing up here in Barrhaven.

Typical Cineplex experience - same layout, same sights and same sounds. Projectors in some of their theatres seems sub par. They are not bright enough, are soft around the edges and have some vignetting in the corners. Popcorn and drinks are as expensive as ever.

I give it 5 stars because of the amazing staff, but If I was rating the overall experience and the seating I'd give it a 2 star. We are a few days away from 2020 and 1990 seating will not cut it for much longer with all the streaming services that we have. Step it up it with comfort levels and implement more modern waiting areas Cineplex or start your bankruptcy paperwork. Take my constructive feedback seriously because on a daily basis your seats are looking more empty.

Great, small theatre. The parking lot is awful, especially in December, but that can't be helped. The theatre is always clean, the seats are still very comfortable and the movies are not that busy. We saw "Moana" over the break, and it was enjoyable. Would definitely come back and see more movies here.

It's a good theatre with a small arcade. It tends to play mostly family friendly movies, but also plays the big box office hits. The only real issue with this location is that the box office is often closed, and so if you're paying with cash you have to buy tickets at the concession stand, but otherwise you can get them from the kiosks.

Scene card is excellent for Cineplex - get one if you don't have one. Barrhaven has always been good, though it is frustrating sometimes that the box office isn't always open, and you have to buy tickets via the concession stand. Overall though a good theatre.

I’m very disappointed with the customer service at Cineplex Odeon Barrhaven Cinemas. I bought 4 tickets for Tue April 30, 2019 at 4:15 p.m. to watch Avengers EndGame and I got to select my seats for my children and niece. Once in the theater they found that those seats were occupied. The manager was called to handle the situation because the people seating there did not give them the seats back. At the end, the manager did not do anything other than saying that the movie had already started and that he couldn’t disturb the others movie goers. My niece and children ended up seating separately, two of them on the stairs for the duration of the movie (the movie was 3 hours long). What should have been an amazing experience turned out to be a bad one.

Going on any night with more then one popular movie will have you circling for a long time to find a parking spot. Just give up and park at Walmart. The theatre is small, normal seating with small theatre rooms. The area around the theatre has grown so rapidly that this theatre can't keep up with the influx of the population. No special screens here either. I usually would drive to the Bayshore or VIP theatre at TD place for a must see movie. They need to renovate and expand this theatre desperately

Staff are friendly and courteous and the areas are well cleaned. Seating is packed in and not very comfortable but with assigned seating at least there is less likelyhood of difficulties. Prices are high for concession as would be expected and the popcorn seems pretty bland.

They’re are better cineplexes in the city of ottawa. I truly believe that this cineplex needs an update. The seats are uncomfortable and unbearable. But overall the service here is great love the workers they are young kind and respectful, but like I said compared to Carling cineplex… this is run down. Get recliner seats please

It's a decent theater. The place is clean, they have an arcade and a good selection of snacks. But it's small, really small. It can get packed during new releases of popular films, but other than then, it's not too busy. Overall this theater is okay, but it's much smaller than other Cineplex and there's nothing special about it.

This place is getting pretty tired and is in serious need of a make-over. In a world where most theatres are offering large reclining seats and some even offer alcoholic beverages, this place is lagging far behind the norm. On top of that, the theatre was not very clean and looked shabby in general. I will think twice before going to a movie here again.

This is my main theater and I go here probably four or five times a year and to date nothing to complain about, good food, friendly staff, clean theater. Not a lot of people know this but there's a good discount on all movies every Tuesday and you can save a lot of money if you use the scene card which isn't even a card, you can get an app that does everything for you.

The theatre is decent for how many screens it has, however it is far from the best in the city. Space could be cleaner, few movies can be shown at a time, and it lacks a niche to draw in people. (imax or 4D) This location DOES NOT offer alcohol, and it has an extremely small parking lot. You’re better off going to the Scotiabank Theatre in gloucester or Cineplex Odeon Carling locations.

I've been to Barrhavean many times and I admit it's one of my favourite because of location and not really busy for even new movies. But they seem to always be really late on running the movie, lets say the site says 7:00 you're waiting till 7:20-30 for the actual movie to start half the time. Missing UltraAVX which really sucks for reserving seats like you can do at the Coliseum. Been more than a few times the place hasn't been fully cleaned out and there's still popcorn bags and food trays left on the floor from the movies played earlier. It has it's disadvantages but I haven't had any visual or audio issues and always enjoyed the actual movie.

I never have a good time here. The two most recent movies I’ve seen both had sound issues that were being adjusted during the movie. The seats are outdated and the assigned seating is horrible in this cramped situation. Nobody spreads out anymore, even if the movie isn’t busy. The arcade will break your kids heart and steal your money and the food is horrid. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean. Still needs major upgrades and most important of all fix the muffled sound and sporadic volume changes.

Theaters were clean and staff was friendly. Movie selection was good with multiple showtimes. Would prefer fewer 3D movies as I don't think the 3D effects add to the movie going experience.

It is good but not the best cineplex location. Great friendly staff, everything on how it should operate, runs the way it should be. Though I have some opinion of my own, Comparing this location to the one at Blair, I think this location needs some upgrade from the movie seats to the arcade area. The "seats" feels like old school seat. I guess I got used to the one in Blair but to be honest I love the recliners and the spaces that the Blair location offers. This location gives the old school vibes but there isnt anything wrong with that. It is only my own opinion. Same goes for the arcades. In Blair location you can use a card to play the arcades and store points. Over here they still use coins. Like what I have mentioned above those things that I have mention can be upgraded but none the less it is still a good cineplex location where me and my wife and my kids enjoyed our visit. Cheers to those friendly staff who works there!!!

Its a theater, nothing fancy like big leather recling seats or a giant candy section at concessions but it does the trick and it's not always super crowded. If you're going on a Tuesday, parking will be upsettingly difficult but it's reasonable the rest of the time.

Unfortunately the government has mandated that concession stands have to stay closed and that you can't eat in the theater which has disrupted the entire Experience of going to the movies You might want to consideras stay home and watch Movies on payview it's just not the same without concessions

The theater was clean, the customer service staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure what else to say. Parking can be difficult during the peak periods as there are a number of stores around that location. My biggest complaint isn't so much about the theater, but more about the fact the movies started 25 minutes late due to being forced to watch 17 minutes of advertising and then 8 minutes of previews. Aside from that, it's a good place to see a movie.

So great! We brought our entire family with us including our 6 month old and 5 other children for the community day. It was wonderfully run and the staff were wonderful for this cause. It also allowed for us to go out for an affordable family outing.

I visited this location with my partner looking to spend her scene points. The employee had accidentally put in the wrong time so we had to be refunded. Little did we know it could take up to 24 hours to have your scene points returned. I was obviously upset and said to the supervisor or manager that this is unacceptable, we came to see this movie today for a reason. After a short heated discussion the supervisor walked away and reuturned with 2 free tickets. You did a great job! Thank you :) the young lady on cash was very friendly and apologetic. Very much appreciated.

"Prime seats" are pathetic - no comparison to Kanata or Coliseum. They are not the really huge, comfy, tons of features seats, only 6 seats to a row, only 6 rows in the theatre as in the other theatres. Huge disappointment. I will not return here for another movie!

What can you say - it's a Cineplex Odeon. Standard corporate features, layout and offerings. The staff is pleasant and polite My only quibble (not with this location, but with Cineplex Odeon corporate), is their decision to stop giving a 10 % discount on everything bought at the concession stand to Scene card holders. Bring it back, please

ok.. its usually pretty quiet and peaceful.. but almost too quiet.. maybe they need an upgrade to this place to compare with coliseum or Lansdowne... just a little on the plain side... good service though... perhaps the issue is that it is smaller screens.. well if that's the case, then move to the "Reclining seats" idea like Coliseum... if im going to have a smaller screen, then at least it would be a more enjoyable experience...

I went to see a movie a while back and neither the sound nor the colors were working. Although it was unfortunate I didn't get to see the movie, the staff were extremely apologetic and accommodative. They refunded my concession stand items and offered me three free movies.

The movie was terrible, but I slept through most of it anyway. Cheap! With a senior's discount it was good indoor heating for 2 hours on a cold winter night. They forgot to tear off my ticket stub. What dumb architect put the washrooms past the entry to the theaters. The whole cineplex is clean, comfortable and efficient. Where's the 50 cent popcorn, though?
