This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Snacks were stale but I bought them in the bathroom (way cheaper than the concession stand) so I guess it's not really the theatre's fault
A little run down but a great cheap night out! Make sure you get there on time because there are no previews.
Can't beat their prices and non-crowded theatre
Theatre was too small
Great small sized movie theatre.
Great little movie theatre in downtown Burlington easy access to parking which is free on evenings and weekends. Each theatre is small and intimate. The seats are comfortable. The tickets are very cheap. Service at the concession stand is efficient and helpful. A great movie experience!
This place is nice if you don't like the crowds or long line up at concessions like at Cineplex Odeon. Also $5 movies. Can't be beat. Although the theatre rooms are small so therefore the screens are small.
Awesome little place! Theatres are tiny but the theatre experience is still great. Especially for the price.
I love this movie theatre. The prices are not inflated and although it is very small and the theatres have few seats it is still comfortable and the same experience you would receive at any other larger theatre. I will continue to return here in future when there is a movie I want to see and don’t want to pay double the price to see it
Cute place to go for movies that have been out a while. Cheaper tickets than bigger theaters and much less busy
Great little spot to take the kids to see a kids movie...not good for action movies or ones with special effects as the theaters are small and older. Cheaper costs here than a newer cineplex theater.
Very nice and clean a good place to be homie feeling good snacks great price
Have never been to this movie theater before, and found it quite a nice place to watch s movie
Great place to watch movies. Intimate theaters but Great sound, seats (lift up arm) and projector quality. I saw a movie last week at a cineplex and cinestarz was better. Really fir so many reasons. Also not a lot of people go so we has the whole theater to ourselves. Evan at the front counter was great. 5 stars!
Great movie and great snack prices
Movies are shown a bit later than release, but great theater. Movies for $, while cineplex is $$$. It doesn't stop there, snacks are even better. My overall cost to see a movie 2 kids 1 adult, $45 dollars!
Small, cheap and quiet theatre for a great night out that’s for sure.
Great alternative theater to pricey theaters. Much cleaner than Cineplex and tickets are way cheaper. Better for movies that are less spectacle based, it's an intimate viewing experience. Great selection of snacks at the concession stand.
Awesome place
Love that this exists for movies that are a few months old. Nice intimate environment, though the facilities are dated. Be warned: the film we saw here had some parts of the picture cut off (e.g. the very top and bottom edges). Still, it's a friendly environment and I'm sure we'd return, all things considered. Great location downtown to boot. Lots of restaurants and coffee or ice cream shops nearby.
Place is small but has all the top movies only $ 5 or $6 each. Popcorn and drinks very reasonable also. Can't complain
It's pretty small, but you can watch films pretty cheap.
Good service, nice and clean and good health and safety protocols
Took my Grandkids. Was a great movie. Ferdinand. Wonderful time
Took my Grandkids. Was a great movie. Ferdinand. Wonderful time
Cheap date night ;)
I absolutely love this small theater. The popcorn is better than VIP Cinemas. Most of the time if you go to an early show you will have the theatre to yourself. Parking is best off Locus street. Great place, I hope it never shuts down. Has that 1950's feel.
Loved it...old time movie experience ...great popcorn! $5 A head!
Lovely little theater great prices and super clean!
Great theater for the price, selections and location. Due to location, you'd have to pay for parking though. Can't have everything! :)
Sometimes slightly less the the most current films but very inexpensive and quiet. We go often
They never seem to have pretzels
Great place for a birthday party.
Nice small theatre. Inexpensive. Catch the movies a little after they release. Good for family or date night.
Small, clean theatre, second run movies, great prices for admission & food, friendly staff.
A wonderful little theatre in the downtown core. It's one of those great things down there that makes the downtown a bit more "full" sort of speak. If you are walking around downtown, had a bite, and enjoyed the lake, and then feel like grabbing a movie it's a nice simple/non-expensive option. Their popcorn is not overpriced and you get a generous amount for what you pay for, which is something I'm very particular about. Being encore, it means if I miss something in my usual theatre then I can head there and watch it. Or if I want to watch a movie I've seen and just can't wait for the DVD/Bluray/digital release I can head in there and enjoy it for not too expensive. Sound quality is great in the theatre, and seats are spacious. My one, and I'm being nitpicky, downer is the cinemas are on flat ground, but truly there's nothing they can do about that as Cinestarz bought this building from another theatre, so that would require major construction that just wouldn't be financially worth it.
Recently updated. Excellent prices for first run movies!
Won't be back... The sound proofing is a joke. I could here the movie playing in the theater nextdoor clearer then our own. They also forgot to play the movie so 30 minutes after showtime I had to go ask staff to hit play. Film.ca in Oakville is a lot better if you want a reasonably priced movie
I absolutely love this small theater. The popcorn is better than VIP Cinemas. Most of the time if you go to an early show you will have the theatre to yourself. Parking is best off Locus street. Great place, I hope it never shuts down. Has that 1950's feel.
A small affordable theatre with good social atmosphere
Cheap. Clean. Comfortable.
Friendly atmosphere, great prices, clean facilities
The screens are quite tiny, but as long as you're okay with this, it's still a fun movie-going experience. The staff is great (the counter could use an extra person when it's busy though), the place is clean and you can't beat the price. Only other nit-picky thing... you can hear a bit of the sound from the adjoining theatre. But regardless, I really like coming here and will be back frequently.
This is a great place to see a movie. They only show films that are out of all the big theatres so it's a great last chance to see a movie you've been putting off. The ticket price is the lowest I've seen and the theatres are all small and well cleaned.
Good
Great concession prices. Compared to most other theatres it's a real bargain and a great place to catch up on movies you might have missed in the main theatres. Of course the theaters are relatively small and intimate, but it's bigger than most home theaters and certainly bigger than your television screen.
The price is right. Small theater's decent picture and audio comfy chairs.
Great place love it
If you expect cineplex quality, you will be disappointed.! Friendly staff. Wasnt clean enough..
Wonderful people and service
Low cost snacks, low cost movie. The theatre itself is very cozy and gives a bit of an at home feel. They show movies later so if you didn't see them at Cineplex you come here.
I love this theatre. Where else can you see a movie for $7. They also sell pop candy, and popcorn combos for $7. Where else can you pay $14 for your movie and your snacks. Everytime I've gone in the weekday their may be 2 other couples in the theatre. Very private. They play a wide variety of movies and always have the newer ones out.
Excellent service, very cozy movie theater my favorite in Burlington.
Great experience!
A wonderful low-priced ($5 ticket) theatre in downtown Burlington. It had 11 (relatively small) screens. Pop corn and pop rates are reasonable plus you can buy coffee as well, if you like. The staff is friendly. I enjoyed " JoJo Rabbit" here today along with my family. We liked this theatre.
Nice enough, tiny theatre, great prices, parking makes up for it tho.
Great price good quality and covid safe
Smaller theaters. Great atmosphere!
Great place to see an inexpensive movie
I typically would give this a perfect score but the issue is we can hear the other movies playing while we are watching ours. Also, my daughter's arm was cut on the arm rest as the padding was all out.
These guys show no trailers :), so make sure you arrive on time to see the start of your movie...
Nice affordable place for those that don't like the hype surrounding movies when they first come out.
Awsome
Decided to finally pop in after years of driving by this place. Small cinema. They play older new releases. Showtimes are squeezed very close together so if you arrive early be prepared to stand in a small common area amongst others. Bathroom are updated and clean. Concessions are ok and decent priced.
Cheapest cinema with decent quality.
Nice little cheap theater.
Messed up place

A great place to watch movies cheap!
Fun small theatre with 2nd run movies & cheapest tickets!
Loved it. They have cheap movie posters. Great for displaying. Movie popcorn and drink for $10
Legit awesome place. Rented a room for a birthday party. We arrived a bit early and we were able to setup. Everyone had a great time. Place was neat and clean and overall everyone had a great time. We will be back for the next party.
Good theatre very clean. Can't beat 5 bucks for a matinee. However couldn't go into theater until the very last minute due to tight schedule of films and they left the lights on for far too long into the film. Also they need better insulation between cinemas as I could hear the film next door clearly.
Couldn’t believe this secret gem. $5 for box office hits and a fun personal experience as each theatre is so small. Loved it :)
It was nice to be able to see Arrival when it had been removed from the major theatre chains for weeks. There was a prominent hissing noise coming from the screen/speakers which was frustrating during quiet parts of the movie.
It was a very cheap place to go. My family couldn't get into any other movie theater be cause they were sold out on the film we wanted to watch. It was only $6 a ticket. It isn't a big theater but it is cheap so I definitely recommend it.
I tried to call this morning. No answer. The website shows that they open at 12. I went in person to inquire about a birthday party for my son. I arrived at 12:23 and a door was opened so I looked in to find someone for information. A young lady finally arrived and very annoyed, said that they were not open until 12:30. She rudly stated that she would not answer any of my questions until that time. I shockingly steped outside and considered leaving, but I had already paid my parking and truly wanted information for my son's birthday. A large party of 15-20 young boys arrived eager for thier movie party. I re-entered the theater after 7 minutes, while the boys were gathering at 12:30 in hopes of getting some party details before they came in. Again, the door was opened and the very rude young lady was talking on the phone, most likely with the owners, in front of me, explaining how annoyed she was. She bushed past me again and opened the doors for the party of boys. I asked a question or 2 then felt extremely overwhelmed and disrespected. I could see she clearly needed to attend to this party, but it was also apparent, that my questions or business was unwanted. I kindly thanked her and said I'd call later for details. Which I did, but the whole experience left me very disappointed. Clearly this family run theatre doesn't want our business. I rarely write reviews, but today I felt compelled. We'll take our business elsewhere and leave these remarks here for others to read. Very disappointed!
Small old theater in the downtown. Small screen but well maintained. Have to use municipal parking lot for parking.
A lovely small movie theater often quiet and empty so there is lots of room this is a great place to watch a movie
Cute and affordable
Great theatre great movie selection and vest of all Cheap Price Afternoon matine and evening shows and privacy is amazing your the only one in the theatre in the afternoon its like they booked it reserve only for u
Had a great time movies start right away popcorn was great
Great place to watch movies for chaep
good place for watching think-films
What a find, been there many times!
Great price for movies just out of theaters
Love the size of the theaters
A nice and small cheap movie theatre good snacks too
Affordable fun.
Love it at Cine Starz theatre in Burlington Ont. It's affordable, clean & newly renovated/air-conditioned. Staff are extremely helpful & friendly. The overall atmosphere was warm & relaxing. Seating is comfortable and the movies are current. I visit here often with my granddaughter and she enjoys it a lot. ????
Cheap prices. Very good popcorn.
Cheaper priced movies.
Cool little theatre - very reasonable pricing. Popcorn is affordable.
Went to see a movie in the Hamilton Film Festival that I was in.
Best movie deal in town. $21 for 2 adult tickets, popcorn, drink and licorice. (for A Star is Born)
Great place to see movies. Friendly staff and cheap admission
Very very cute theatre. Could have done without the bugs walking on the big screen though. Ya. Serious.
Love it here. Great staff. So friendly. Very clean
good
Great price and selection.
One cannot beat the value here. $5 admission for movies that just dropped out of the main theatres (think Cineplex). Concessions are very reasonable as well...we paid $28 for two of us, and that consisted of two admissions, one small popcorn, 1 nacho and cheese tray, one small bag of M&M's and two fountain drinks. Staff was friendly. Movies looked and sounded good. Will definitely be back!! ????????
Super clean, nostalgic feelings of old time cheap theatre - great prices and friendly service!
Great place to watch movies for cheap. Nice. Not busy
Love this little theatre for kids movies.
A cute little theatre that offers a real, cheap alternative.
Great price and popcorn
Great little theater, fairly current movies, cheap concessions and for only$5 a ticket.
Small theaters, nice people, no 3d and good prices.
Price is fantastic. Small and intimate, popcorn hot and fresh.
Great prices
Low cost movies for sure but the place is not the best, feels a bit run down sometimes. If you want to save and watch in large screen this is it, but doesn't have the same vibe as the more commercial cineplexes. Good bang for your buck though.
Great theatre with a basic experience. Cheap snacks, inexpensive movie tickets and never busy. Parking is usually not an issue when you go to the evening shows.
It is ok for the price you pay. Easily half the price at a cineplex on a Tuesday, but if u go weekdays before 6pm you will pay around $5 for parking. The screen was smaller than what you would expect at a cineplex and i would prefer a larger screen for an action or special effects movie.
Small, cozy movie theater. Shows older flix and rarely busy.
Cost clean place with amazing staff and great prices. A great way to spend an evening
A good place to go to see a newer movie you may have missed in the larger theatres (or if you weren't sure it would be worth the full ticket price). The concession stand popcorn and drinks tasted nice and fresh, and the seats were quite comfortable. I do wish the walls were a bit more soundproof, but it's not a big deal.
Great discount theatre
This place is great to see a lower budget movie but the screens are too small to watch a action movie.
Perfect quiet little theater to take the kids to. Friendly staff great prices.
Best little movie theater in Burlington! yummy popcorn and affordable prices!
It’s fun to get out for only $5. Great popcorn!
Always a lovely experience! It is the best deal in town.
Very intimate. Small screen and room.
Luv it
My favorite cheapy movie theater... Good selection of movies, alternative to most big theaters around.
Cheap good movies this theater genuanely was an amazing choice
A great cozy movie theatre to catch older releases!
I'm really happy to see it back up and running. It's newly renovated and still very cheap for tickets. The only thing they really changed and I think was their biggest mistake was taking away the brochures that tell you what movies are playing and what they're about. So you have to go online before going to pick a movie. It's always been a great movie theatre to just pop into and see what's playing but them taking that away makes it a little difficult. The popcorn still rocks btw!
Pretty good, but I wish you didn't have to buy tickets to the movie while standing in line at the snack bar. I understand the economics of running such a place might demand it though.
Holy small but great for my 4yr old grandson n 4yr old nephew and cheap really enjoy ourselves everytime we go
Love this place. Very community based location. Traditional feel theatres.cant say enough. A great throwback environment. Take the kids to experience something you remember from your childhood. Also much more affordable than the big chains.
Great prices! Can't beat $5 for a movie and $6 for a jumbo popcorn
I enjoy how quaint this place is very small never busy they don't have the most up-to-date movies but they do have very low prices and you pretty much got the theater all to yourself
Great little cinema ☺
It's so loud in the halls outside you can't hear much of the movie
Small dingy theatre. But clean and reasonably priced. The front door is a cluster when busy. Tickets and food at the same time.
Well organized clean welcome staff.
Small theater, great price on tickets. Enjoyed Captain Marvel with my family.
Great place for a private movie. If you missed it in the big theater, you can watch it here. Always very clean and friendly staff. Only thing I didn't care for was the old popcorn mixed with new popcorn and fountain pop was flat. I would definitely go back especially for cozy date nights.
Very good, I enjoy it a lot. It's not overpriced at all and so much more cheaper than big franchises like cineplex, and it's a great place to bring friends.
I like everything about Braithwaite except you have to wait in the concession line to buy your tickets.
Great place to watch current movies at a budget!
Nice little theater. Been coming to this location since the 80s under different names
Tiny theatre but an affordable place to take the family run by some very nice people. I hope more people visit it to help keep them in business. There aren't too many places that a young family can afford these days but this is one of the last of its kind.
Quaint little place. Better than the big cinemas if you like peace and quiet in the theatre (no one talking)
Much better than the first incarnation of this theatre, but every movie I've seen here has had sound problems, maybe not enough separation between all of the speakers. Really though, you can't fault the place given the price of a movie on Tuesdays. Free parking after 6p every day and something like $4 movies on Tuesday, great for date night (even if the arm rest of the chair can get somewhat uncomfortable)
Best deal in town!!! You can get a movie, popcorn and more for all under $20. Tuesdays are even less expensive-incredible!!!Friendly staff and wide variety of recent movies from the box office ensures that there is something for everyone! Smaller theatres ensure better seating....and less distractions.
Such a cute little theatre in the heart of burlington. Great prices, friendly staff and a good selection of movies and show times.
Great value with their $5 movies.... just wish they would serve popcorn in cardboard so that the rattling paper popcorn bags are not so disturbing in the small theaters.
Can't go wrong with $6 for a movie!
Great little movie theatre. Screens great movies, the prices are good and nice staff.
It's a nice place to roam in Burlington, as well as to see a movie in cine Starz, important thing to keep in mind,be prepared for long distance parking. If you are lucky enough u will get the parking spot easily near cine starzz
Very reasonable prices for the tickets, food and drinks. It was small inside but I loved the small town feel of the theatres, it was cozy and the quality was still great. I definitely recommend giving this place a chance.
Movies playing here have run their course at the big chains. Ticket prices are excellent and concession prices are better than the big boys. Theatres are well kept. On the smaller side but the screen is plenty big. If you don't need to see a movie when it comes out or if you didn't get a chance to see the movie.......this is a great alternative.
We go here 3 or 4 times a month. It brings back that 1980 Cineplex nostalgia. Small theatres, with a great price and the popcorn is the best around. We sometimes just drop in to see anything just for the excuse to have a jumbo popcorn lol. I love this theatre. In the heart of Burlington, just a few blocks from the lake.
It was a good experience great rates recent movies its always nice to support a small business like this about ten minutes in line
Great movies for a great price! If you don't mind waiting a few weeks after release in the big theatres, or are looking for smaller releases, this is the place to go!
Great intimate theatre!
Small but very inexpensive movie theatre.
Heat not working in some theatres in February, no butter for popcorn, distracted staff. The tickets and concession were cheap, so there's that, I guess.
Love the price for Seniors
Nice small place. Friendly feeling.
Super affordable and a great viewing experience!
Small, old school, cozy
Good movies at a great price
A hidden gem. Far less expensive than first run movies. And it is clearly managed with love.
Impressive for a smaller theatre.
Good theatre, great pricing. Theatres are a little small but cozy and screen is a good size. This place is great if there is a movie you want to see on the screen but don't want / need to see it right away as they play movies that are no longer at the big brand place, but the cozy-ness and price makes up for it.
Such a cool tiny theatre. Don't expect the Cineplex experience. Cheap way to go to the movies.
Great small theater to see movies. Tuesdays its $4.00 ticket.
Love it
Super clean theatre in a great location. I love these smaller theatres as you get your money's worth, every time. Staff is on point and very helpful.
Small and inexpensive. Old theatre, but who cares for $5.00 tickets.
This place is such a gem. Small - but I expected that. Very good pricing for the experience. The theaters are smaller, more intimate but you still get a good big screen movie experience. When I did go there it wasn't packed. The only con is that they don't serve hot foods, just quick snacks like popcorn, nachos, candy...
Love this little theatre! Great prices and recent movies.
Great prices, theatre was small but ok.
A tad shabby but great movie choices for an excellent price! Friendly helpful staff.
Very small but cozy, prices are amazing for tickets and popcorn. Bathrooms are nice and they’re clean.
Really happy to know this is here again after years of going to the theatre at this location under several different names and management. Small theatres but you can't beat the price and free parking close by as well!
Great price, old style theater.
I like the small theatre, as it's less scary for kids, and feels more intimate.
Smaller old school theater... Unfortunately we could hear the theater next to us
Good value for movie. It is a smaller and older theater in downtown Burlington. There is lots of parking nearby and restaurants within walking distance.
Great prices in an intimate setting
Friendly, affordable, clean and close to the Waterfront. Always a good selection of current and re-run movies.
Great theatre and affordable prices. I love going here - great place if you don't want to be around huge crowds. Friendly staff! The only thing is that the movies could be a little louder but otherwise a wonderful spot.
Small but decent theatres, good movie selection and affordable prices. Clean bathrooms.
Unfortunately, not a 5-star experience this time, which it has been in the past. First, they dinged my Visa card twice for the exact same online purchase of 3 tickets. It was actually my bank that alerted me and when I called theatre directly to sort it out, they said I'd have to come down with my credit card statement?!? Good news is Visa handled it for me but this left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Great prices, excellent selection of snacks too! BUT, COVID-19 protocols were REALLY LAX - in fact a member of our group didn't even stay to watch movie because of that... so many unmasked (including improperly masked) children crowded into lobby and running around... literally felt swarmed by a mob while lined-up waiting to enter our theatre. We'll wait until a LOT more time has passed with the children's version of vaccine before going back.
Neat throwback to the 90s theatre. Can't beat the price at $5 fir a ticket and $11 for popcorn, drink and candy.
family friendly place!
Great little cinema with friendly and helpful staff.
A nice theatre that won't break the wallet -- even with refreshments. A nice option for fun time out with the kids or a budget date night. The screens are a good size for the room. The website is quite basic, but it has all the information that you need.
Great little movie theater with affordable pricing
Great little cinema to catch the movies you've missed
This cinema had become a local favourite..a great way to catch up on movies that have just left the larger cinemas. Cheaper than the mainstream, smaller intimate theatres and the bonus...straight into the movies...not all the fluff.
Great place to see movies for $5
Great prices. No doubt about that. Huge lineup with only one staff member selling tickets and popcorn. Missed the first part of the movie...I guess that is the trade off for low prices...Hopefully they can sort out the logistics soon or people will get fed up and not return.
So happy that the cheap seats are open again! Looks so good all renovated. It's nice to be able to afford taking my kids out. Love this theatre!!
I used to come here as a child, and I just found out a week ago that it was re opened. It was the best news!! We decided to go that day and see black Panther. I was super surprised to see that it was in the theatre as I remember it used to be just older movies. It was just as I remembered, the seats feeling cosy and like you’re in your own home (one that has a home theatre) and the snacks are cheap, the slushees are just as I remember. I reminisced on my childhood coming back, I will be back!
Good place to watch a movie on the cheap, after they've come and gone from the big theaters. Theaters are pretty small and sometimes they leave the door open long after the movies started, which is irritating. Food is what you'd expect at a high price (still better than Cineplex though).
A lovely small movie theater often quiet and empty so there is lots of room this is a great place to watch a movie
Small theatres but can't beat the price for a ticket or food!!
Nice and bon marche!
Really good for a small local theatre. A very nice place to have in the neighbourhood for an inexpensive trip to the movies!
It's not like stadium but ticket was cheaper so we were good
Pretty small screens especially if you are paying 20$ for an international film viewing
Nice, cheap, and intimate movie night.
I enjoyed the experience at this small movie theater. It's local to where I live in downtown Burlington, there are no commercials before the movie, the seats are very comfortable and each little theater provides a cozy environment. You can't beat it for five dollars.
Good place to see cheap movies!
Small and simple theatre, perfect to avoid crazy crowds and just enjoy a flick. My four year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Cheap date night ;)
Great place to watch movies for low entry and popcorn costs. Yes, it's a small theater with smaller screens than usual, but it makes up in so many ways for it. I enjoy it with friends and family!
Small screen - 120 or so inchs, cheap tickets. If you're expecting a Cineplex experience it won't be for you. Still good for a night out in the area.
This place still is the best. What a perfect cinematic experience with all the barriers of 3D and insane sound the likes of a theme park - go somewhere else. You want to see a movie at a reasonable price - boom.
Cinemas need updating and cleaning. Quite dingy. Movie prices are good, though.
Good price and choice of movies but sound from one theatre bleeds into the next.
Super cheap movies, snacks and drinks! Saw "Isn't It Romantic" this afternoon with a group of women from work, we all had a GREAT time!
My husband and I didn’t even know this theater existed. We were pleasantly surprised . The concession stand staff are very friendly. It’s really nice to be able to go to see a movie for five dollars . The theaters are a little small but we were able to see/hear just fine . We will definitely go again. Highly recommend this place .
Great theatre! Independent, cute and an amazing place overall!!!
Owner KNOWS his films! Good price.
CineStarz Upper Canada Place is great place. Good movies and great staff.
Love this theatre! So cozy and the staff is awesome. The best popcorn hands down! Always so fresh. You can’t beat the cheap movie ticket prices either. We love going here.
Great little theatre for end run movies. Please be warned that getting to a screening early is a must. The cashier is running ticket sales and concessions, so there is sometimes a line up to get into your movie. Dont blame the single person working there that they are moving too slow because its not their fault.
Love this place. Second run movies, but great prices.
Good shows. Great prices. Very clean. Great value.
Great and inexpensive
Had a great time. Nice alternative to the over priced theatres.
Great little theaters. Very comfortable, affordable and in a great location. Lots of wonderful adult, children and family movies. Clean and friendly and the food is not over priced. The admission price is affordable for families with children which is wonderful. I highly recommend this movie theater to any age group.
A bit confusing to where you go in. Went to see^Uplanned" $5 extremely reasonable cozy small theater small screen will certainly go back.
It’s a small place but nice, good prices & very friendly staff!
Great little theater
Great deal for a movie. Nice people working there, too.
Its inexpensive
Great little theatre to see movies that have left the big thestres and on the way out. Small, intimate viewing room. Great value at $5 a head to see a show.
rude girl at the cash.obviously not happy to be working Sunday
The theatres are small with the older seat style but you can't beat the prices!
Had my 3 grandgirls for the day/night and they wanted me to see Frozen 2. I new it would still be playing at this little venue which is a hidden treasure. Small theatres but perfect for families. Biggest bonus is the price...5$ per person and get this, a super large popcorn( small bags given to divide it up) and a pkg of regular size red licorice( unanimous decision) 8.70$$$ Yes, a very large popcorn and a treat for under 10$. Oh, and parking out back was free. I had the kids do the math for the 'other' theaters and they kept saying, wow!!! We will be back!
What a hidden treasure. Quaint and priced right. I loved it.
Love there prices & movies
Small theater so no big crowds and a GREAT price. A very affordable night out for those on a budget.
Friendly staff, easy parking, great popcorn!
horrifying
Comfortable seats, wide variety of snacks and great prices
I've gone to this theatre all my life. The movie selection is always good.
Small therates but cheap and good quality
Small theater but also small ticket price. Unfortunately popcorn and drinks are very expensive. I like that it's downtown and there is a nostalgic feel to it.
great old school theater
There for a birthday party. The 'fresh' popcorn was sadly stale. The poor employee must not have realized that a party was scheduled as she scrambled to get out tables. She did warn us that one was wobbly and of course it did collapse. Fortunately only loot bags were impacted. Nice to have a theater to yourself for a screening but could use some TLC and better organization for parties.
Good deals
Super kind staff, fantastic price, clean facilities.
Only place having indian movie near to Hamilton
Good for kids
Friendly staff and the prices can't be beat. Movies are a few weeks old, and the sound creeps in from neighbouring screens. But overall it's great value for your dollar
Cheap movies
Good movies/price. Clean floors.
Cozy intimate theatre
Great pricing BUT twice now the popcorn had a burnt taste to it. I imagine it's not made fresh for shows by the taste. Older gentleman is always nice, younger girl not the friendliest.
Awesome. Still places that understand that it is not all about the money. Love this place! Would go back in a heartbeat.
Watched movie with a friend $5 Admission.. Can't go wrong! Great staff
Small theater but great shows
Little theater with a big heart. Helpful and courteous staff. Saw Dumbo the little plucky elephant. Very moving and realistic. Made with heart. Recommending this gem of theater.
Small theatre, good to catch movies that are just finished their theatre run.
Nice theater for a matinee
A funky little throwback of a place. Reflective of more genteel times when theaters were cheap, small and cheerful.
Great little theatre!
This place has been around, in one guise or another, for many years. Movies have just been pulled from main stream theatres, only $5, basic snack bar fare at good prices. A bit dated, and temp is an issue (as pointed out), but small town feel and ambiance. A nice alternative to the big name theatres, check it out!
Love this place. Can't beat the price. Glad another business reopened it. Been going to this place since I was 5. The renovtions look great. The staff are friendly. The popcorn and drinks are cheaper than other places.
Great prices and services for first run movies. So glad they are back and open for business In
Awesome tiny theaters. Great prices and fun experience
Awesome tiny theaters. Great prices and fun experience
Cool little place to visit for nice and cheap movies in downtown Burlington.
Fun place. Floors a little sticky.
Ok wish the arm rest went up so that bigger people can sit more comfortable
Great little theatre. Good prices. Limited seating.
Great deal for a movie.
I would like to say my 6 year old and I enjoyed our experience, however we purcahaed tickets for a childrens movie, we were told whoch theatre to go into and that corresponded with the tickets we were given. There are no signs outside the entrance indicating which movie is playing in which theatre - just a theatre number. We were a few minutes late so snuck into the theatre and sat down and within a minute quickly realized this was not the movie we came to see and the content was extremely inappropriate for a 6 year old. Brutal. I came out and told the staff who literally froze like deer in headlights and said absolutely nothing. Get it together people. I like this small little theatre but that is inexcusable. Not sure i would go back if they dont know what movie is on what screen.
Great place for cheap movies. Tiny theatres but prices can't be beat. Saw a movie and had a coffee for $5.50.
Very Good
Lovely little theatre. Feel like you are right at home.
Little Gem downtown Burlington wont break the budget. $5.00 movies and snacks are cheaper too! It's a cozy small cinema. Great for the small kids as well.
Great place to watch movies for cheap. $6 per Nov. Cozy, tiny theatres and snacks are decent too.
Great place to take in a movie with all your family. Best prices in town.
Lots of convenient show times. Tickets and snacks are a great price.
Great theatre, very reasonable prices on the tickets and the concession stand. Seats are comfortable and the screen is clear.
Consistently great it's a NO FRILLS theatre. Kept simple with staff who work hard doing many duties...counter...box office...cleaning etc. Concessions dont disappoint. Many shows to chose from.
Cute theatre with great prices. Great if you miss a movie in the mainstream theatres. Walls are thin in the theatre, if a movie in the adjacent theatre is loud you're going to hear it.
Good and cheap but ticket and concession lines are combined and take a long time
Great little gem that I had no idea was there!
Cheap no frills hole in the wall theater. Friendly staff and comfortable seats. Check this theater out to top off your date in downtown Burlington.
Cheap no frills hole in the wall theater. Friendly staff and comfortable seats. Check this theater out to top off your date in downtown Burlington.
Excellent place. Good value. Small theaters. Would go there again!
Great place to watch movies
Price is higher than advertized
It's been renamed it has better seats. A great place to see a second run movie. Great prices. I like the movie choices most don't make it to larger theatres
Great place good price
5-stars for Cine Starz, because even though the volume from the movie was low and I struggled to hear (It seems the front speaker was working only) there are SO many positives. First, the ticket price is cheap (5-6$), Second, popcorn and concessions are actually affordable, and as other reviewers mention, it is the opportunity to see the same movies that have transitioned from big box theaters into a smaller, homier space. Lastly, it wasn't crowded (we went on a Tuesday night)
Just found out your manager quit. Not impressed you let him go he’s always been so kind. Rally made this business stand out from competition. Not impressed
The volume in the theatre as the movie started was too low and yet there was a hissing sound
Like watching a movie with your extended family.
Cheap movie tickets which is nice for the family budget. The theatre spaces are small but rarely packed so it's a nice cozy experience.
Great little theatre
Great
Great price, good service and great movies to choose from !!
Love the small sized theatres, yummy popcorn and friendly helpful staff. Can't beat the prices.
We saw Solo at Stars great time and atmosphere
Love it! Nice people running the place! Small and intimate and no previews! Right into the movie you went to see! Great!
Great price kids enjoyed it alot even if old movie three four months
Very grateful that Cine Starz was courageous enough to show the movie Unplanned.
Good prices on tickets and food
Always a great time! I will continue to visit!
A gem
Great and affordable! Small but intimate and it allows us to enjoy a movie out more often as a family. 5.00 entry fee and some great deals at the concession stand. Our kids even go with their friends and enjoy the smaller atmosphere. It's awesome
Great value for the price. I love the small theater size. Washrooms are always clean.
Perfect theater for an afternoon out
You want to see a cheap movie for five bucks it's your place to go popcorn is not bad
A small theatre with no stairs to climb. Free parking across the street. Would definately go back again.
Throwback to the old style mall movie theater, not big at all but definitely cozy
This is a great place to see any movie. The cinema is clean, the staff is friendly and the popcorn, yummy. Why would you anywhere else and pay more than double?????
I had the worst experience tonight. First some lady was going through some coupon and both people working there was talking to her as there was a huge line. Our movie was starting and then when we finally got up to the till (movie already started) they had no nachos. Maybe you guys should be more prepared for customers and have way better customer service. So disappointing.
Small theatre. Good value.
Very small theater (5 rows by 7 seats across) but for $5 plus parking I felt that it was worth the price of admission for a movie that I missed in the larger theaters. I will be coming back in the future.
great place
I have been screening pictures here for years. So glad that we now have an option to big theater, big snack bar.
Great price, and the theaters are kept clean for all shows!
Clean and reasonably priced. What else could you ask for? Small old school theater, but obviously renewed recently.
Great spot to watch a movie. I am thankful that they are there!
Independent move theater. Good experience. Only issue is that while watching the movie, I could hear the movie from the theater next door.
Excellent
I like seeing a movie here. Seats are comfortable, setting is intimate ,price is right.
Truly a gem! And affordable too! Thank you, I enjoyed House of Gucci and drove to Burlington to see it today at Cine Starz, glad for the many available showtimes and the great location!
I have been coming here for 20 years always a great place. Cheaper than bigger box places!!!
Fantastic wee place !
Such a great location, cheap food and movies with an intimate setting and friendly / helpful staff
This place is fantastic. Best prices around for a movie. $6 admission, and on cheap Tuesdays it’s $4!! When I came here with my family during Christmas we had a blast. It’s small, cozy and quiet. The theatres themselves are small, and the screens are on the smaller side too. For that price though, it’s a great experience.
Cheap to watch a movie but food they serve does not taste fresh, they also leave the straws out very unsanitized.
$5 for any movie. Intimate setting with great prices on movies and food Usually play movies out the theater for a month or two
Great place to see cheap new movies after they leave the big Cinemas. And cheaper.
A nice, cozy, and inexpensive venue to watch a movie .
Great little gem to watch a movie. $6 per movie. Nothing fancy. Theatres are small and intimate. I'll definitely go back more often. Definitely recommended.
Lovely wholesome theatre
Cheap price for movies. Cinema is small but everything else was great.
Nice little theater. Great place to go when you don't like a lot of people
Dirty ..just dirty...food server kept messing with his hair AND serving food. Watched someone gather garbage then serve food...
Excellent value for your dollar quite and relaxing place to enjoy your favorite movie.
Small theatre but great deal.. $5 each for the film.
Great price. No commercials. Starts on time.
This is a great rainy day for the kids at an AMAZING price too! My kids love going there.. great walk downtown too for some fresh air! The theater is clean, great location and the movies played are newer and usually the ones that just left the theater!
Best deal in the area to see a flick, munchies are well priced compared to others.
Small, yet well maintained. Prices were very reasonable. Great movie selection!
Movie theater was what I expected (small) but then your paying half the price. Staff not that helpful, they didn't have ANY diet pop. Infact the only pop they had was ginger ale. Small portions of food. I guess you get what you pay for.
Not so crowded. $8 now, except for Tuesday.
Great movie selection, cozy and relax ambience.
Small theatres and it's very cheap, really recommend this place for a date or just a get together
Enjoyed the movie we saw and the service was quick at the concession stand
This is cinema at its best: small, intimate screens, cheap tickets, movies that just came out of the big multi-plexes. It is my favourite theatre by a far mile. Staff is courteous, popcorn is great, bathrooms and rooms are cleaned. Super cozy. If anything, sometimes, depending on the movie, the sound is a bit too low (especially if there is an action movie going on in the next room). Best of all: no ads!!! Who needs 2 trucks ads while waiting for a movie, really? I’ll keep coming back as much as I can.
This place is fantastic. You can take a family of 4 to the movies including popcorn for less than $30.
Cool little theatre. Super affordable movie tickets and snacks
It doesn't have a seat selection way.
An older no frills movies that shows lots of current movies.
Local and homey! Love it as a nice friends movie night and a date night!
Small theater but clean and cozy We went for Arabic movie and it was good experience
GREAT EXPERIENCE! My husband and I LOVED the small town feeling of the theatre with FANTASTIC prices! They've done a great job updating with recent renovations too. As for the location, its nice to walk out the door after the movie and be within steps of great restaurants as well.
great prices
Great movie venue at great price
Small theatres that make for a cozy atmosphere. Prices for tickets and food are below what the larger theatres charge. Have a good selection of movies to choose from.
Nice small old fashioned theatre
Very clean. Great atmosphere!
Great staff and was helpful even though there were no good seats left.
I love this theatre.......get butter on their amazing popcorn
Seems empty..,
Great prices & friendly service
Cozy little theater to watch movies at a very reasonable price
Great gem. Definitely worth seeing a movie here. It's an upgrade over home and super low pricing on entrance and food. The screens are old school and small, but i go 5 to 10 times a year. Great for kids
Cheap movies
Great place for a movie. Small, quaint, friendly staff. Movies are older but you can't beat the prices. My wife and I have gone twice over last four weeks and we plan on going more regularly.
Little theatre. Great price..
Great hard working staff, reasonable food prices and you never pay more than $6 a movie.
Lower price, slightly dated movies
Friendly staff, knowledgeable and very helpful. Allowed us to have an enjoyable experience while watching Thor. Would definitely be back, had a great time. The only downside was that at certain parts of the movie it seemed to freeze and what seemed buffer a bit then continue playing. Other than that great experience!
Nice little theater at much lower prices. Not the biggest and best but decent value and still feel like you went to the movies. Great way to save some $$ and see a good movie
This theatre is such a fabulous find! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. With it being a smaller theatre, you avoid the big lines and hectic environment. To top it off, prices are very reasonable.
It's a nice coz theatre! But wasn't cleaned up after the show...when we went in floor was stick and wrappers and food every where ..so kinda disappointing! Other than that...it was a good experience!
Really enjoyed my experience at Cine Starz in Burlington! It is not so modern as cineplex and you can hear the heating or ac working when there is a quiet scene in the movie but staff was very friendly! Very nice price for a movie and conveniently located in downtown! Will go again!
Great place, nice people.
Lovely little theater
Clean quiet and safe. Price is much cheaper than other cinemas. Easy and free parking
Love it even have senior prices
Awesome as always
A very cozy, positive energy environment. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great for the price. I'll keep on going back.
The reason I'm giving this place a low rating is cause its great never crowded and cozy small theaters
Small simple theatre, with a decent selection if movies. For those who don't want to go to the big theaters and pay crazy prices.
It is quiet, clean and nice staff, we should be support this little theaters!
Super cute and perfect for little ones
Great price to see a current movie
Very good pricewise
I've been visiting ever since I was little. It's the cheapest movie theater I know of so it's a fun place to go with my friends/family. The seats are generally comfortable (though there was a broken armrest when I last went), and because the individual theaters are small, it's usually relatively quiet, and private. I've never had to deal with crying babies or people on cell phones. Unfortunately because it's so small, there's also usually not much available at the concession besides popcorn. Very sad when you're starving, but at least there's a The Works across the street, if you plan ahead.
Great place loved it there kids and girl friend too
Love the theatre comfortable seats and the big screen and sound. Much improved glad to see it re open. I supported the theatre before and will continue to do so. It has great movie selections for all ages and excellent prices. It is an asset to downtown and hopefully it will draw more crowds into the downtown core. I have been a residence for 45 years in Burlington and love the city. I now live downtown within walking distance to theatre. I usually attend the show once a week or more. With so many seniors living downtown hopefully they will discover the reasonably priced theatre. The staff is very friendly and keep the theatre clean after every movie. You can not beat the price. It is well lit and lots of parking behind on Locust Street parking lot free after 6 oclock..
Super cheap movies and food. Good quality of picture and sound. Only downside was that the theaters are so close that you can hear what's going on in the other movies when yours is quiet.
$5 movies. Smaller theaters that make you feel homey and give you a sense of something special. It's great that this place is still a staple of downtown Burlington and caters to old and new.
Great movies and inexpensive tickets!!!
6 dollar movies, popcorn and pop not overly expensively priced. $14 bucks for all, make this a sure fire bet for movie fans! Small comfortable theatres with about 25 seats per theatre are the perfect size! Why spend double if not more for the same kind of entertainment? Cinestarz is the solution for more bang for your buck!
