I love the unique character of rural communities, and this theatre offers it up 100%. Do not expect a city-like film-going experience. It's a small theatre and screen, but the popcorn is delicious, the chairs comfy, and the staff friendly. I honestly prefer it to the overwhelming experience of big theatre.

We love our little local island one room movie house. Ask to add the Salt Spring Island's favourite popcorn topping: Nutritional Yeast. Sounds terrible, but tastes great on popcorn. Seating is simply. The floor isn't raked for a good view, but the charm of watching a movie here at the Fritz is like no other. Like all movie houses, I get that they need sustainable profits but I sure do wish they had smaller confectionary items. Arguing with my kids about whether they can buy what looks like a pound of Skittles makes me want to bring my own items into the movie house so I don't have to fight them over gorging themselves on enough sugar to take down a rhino.

A local community attraction. Since upgrading equipment they now show latest releases. Popcorn alone is worth it!

Cute little movie theatre. Definitely a good idea to get there early as it fills up fast. The popcorn seemed a bit stale but it was still tasty.

Price is very high at the concession, but the service is wonderful. Seats are not very comfortable, but the air conditioner is nice. Small town feel with the crickety floors and level seating. Movie starts promptly.

for less then $20 I can enjoy a great show with a large organic popcorn with real butter and N yeast plus a large drink. I get to meet real people who love to talk with me and I feel great for supporting my local businessperson. try to get that in Vic or Van. or sit at home again with Netflix.
