Here you have the feddbacks of people who are consuming the services and products of Revue Cinema (Movie Theater) in the territory of Batoche (Canada).
At the moment the firm receives a score of 4.7 stars over 5 and the rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings is virtually the top, and it's founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write reviews when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
A Toronto landmark and a magical night out at the movies- classic old time feel with hot new blockbusters!
Wonderful place, cooperatively owned and an interesting selection of movies.
Visiting from Scotland with a Horror Fanatic, a Friday the 13th screening of Friday the 13th Part 8 was a must. Being volunteers at our local indie cinema and participants in many interactive film experiences we were geared up to enjoy the experience with a slightly cynical view of an old timer. We were wrong to be cynical. The love and enthusiasm of every one involved really shines through. From both the staff and the audience. And most importantly The seats are comfy, snacks and drinks are good too. If you are interested in cinema at all this is a great stop when you’re in Toronto.
Very classic and cool spot!
Very classic and cool spot!
Movies!
Well run and cool theatre with friendly staff
Cheaper than Cineplex theatres and less obnoxious advertising, what else could you ask for
The image seems to be a little bit dark and the chairs are strange. Otherwise very vintage feel.
Cozy, intimate environment. Spacious and very comfortable seating giving a great view of the screen. Clean, modern and classy renovations make this theatre-going experience a pleasure that extends beyond the actual film. My first time here and it eased my often "claustrophobic" feelings at a movie theatre. A most enjoyable experience, definitely to be repeated!
Love the community feel and love of this theatre!
Watched the Acadamy Awards here at their annual Oscars Party! Great little theater!
This is a place run by fantastic people who love film/movies and flicks
Clean air.
Great independent theatre to continue supporting
First time going here to watch a Ghibli film with my sister. Very nice old theater and very affordable price for the ticket and popcorn combo!
I really appreciate the programming here. There's a great mix of popular movies as well as curated one-offs and unique series. The staff are awesome, the seats super comfy and the sound and image are top notch. A neighbourhood gem.
Great experience!
Big screen, big seats. Great old theatre.
Great little vintage theater. Seats are surprisingly comfortable.
Very well preserved theatre. Only one screen and lots of room. They even sell craft beer here and at a reasonable price.
I'm told this is the oldest operating cinema in TO. And a not-for-profit. Old school with massive screen and comfy seats. Do it!
Very Nice small cinema but friendly cinema!
The Revue is awesome. Go see a movie there!
Welcoming and a lovely part of the neighborhood
Great staff, great old/authentic (and so lovely) movie theatre. Very simple, small, but very nice place to be on a lonely night for a good movie. Revue is non-profit organization. A variety of events organized too!
Great service and home like feel. Also most of the time its not to crowded.
Love love love love!!
A Toronto gem. Lovely staff, great programming, highly recommend whether you live on Roncey or farther afield.
It does the job
A true movie going experience.
I always like going to the review cinema. It's a charming old theatre with a great selection of movies and special events. The seats may not be as comfortable as a modern multiplex but the popcorn is first rate.
Great independent cinema.
Comfortable seats and cosy cinema.
Great pictures and popcorn
Great old theatre. Has a nice old time vibe
This is a fantastic community cinema. Good prices and friendly knowledgeable staff.
Big Trouble in Little China Drunk cinema So much fun watching classic movies combined with a drinking game! The energy of the crowd is what makes it so tremendous . Seats are spacious and comfortable. It sells out quickly so if it's a movie you really want to see get those advanced tickets!
I loved it! The only problem is to find parking.
Best rep theater in TO
Best rep cinema in Toronto. All the feels come from seeing a film here.
Friendly people, tasty popcorn, nice legroom, great place to catch something you missed on the big screen.
Beautiful venue with friendly staff. Great theatre for the Polish Film Festival.
It was absolutely the best interactive theater experience I've ever had! The feeling you get when you walk in is like jumping back to your childhood but with grown up juice ???? We went to see Weird Science and we loved it! Will absolutely be back soon, and you should too????
Super cute old school movie theatre with a great atmosphere.
My first time coming and definitely not my last, unbelievable time today, everyone there was so friendly, and loved how interactive everyone was while we watched!
LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!!!! so many memories from when i was a little kid, they are always so kind and play great movies with surprisingly good quality despite my other experiences with older theatres!!!!! fantastic. couldn't recommend it more.
Nostalgic feeling of old school cinema and very well maintained with latest trend. Very freindly staff
In the past the Revue was a very special theatre. Regularly showing a good mix of older and current films. That was a long time ago. These days the selection of films is very limited, the prices are high and the staff can be clueless and quite unhelpful. A pale shadow of its former self, the Revue is a handy local theatre playing the same dross as the first runs.
Love the new management as much as the previous management. Great place to host a screening, too.
Just watched the new blade runner. Great spot. I have coming here for 34 years now, and the place keeps getting better with age. It really is a community center.
Great experience and great staff. Feels very retro. Seating and screen is not the best and you will be pretty sore if you end up sitting in the first few rows.
Charming
Toronto institution. I go here once per month to catch cheaper screenings of great films and make my self sick from unlimited popcorn
A must go place
Favorite date night movie theater ????
Line up for Hausu at the Revue!
I've lived around the corner from Revue Cinema for more than 20 years but only recently started supporting it enthusiastically. The active members have in the past several years transformed it into an amazing, lively, meaningful community theatre that not only shows great movies, but surprises us with thought-provoking, educational, creative events. I'll bet none of the big cinemas provoke so much excitement and care! Bravo to the organizers!
What a lovely historic building and community-run business! I get great "vibes" from this place. You can really tell the theatre is run by and frequented by movie lovers.
$6.50 Tuesday movies!
Great variety of films and events. They host community events, films for kids, silent films, second run, many others. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
The Revue is a retro community cinema, programmed with oldies favourites, indie new releases, and special events that appeal to film newbs and nerds alike. The building is lovely (although the bathrooms are very small!), with a well-appointed snack counter and thoughtful staff. Definitely recommend for a date night or family excursion.
Great variety of screenings, great price and worthy membership program. We need more theatres like this!
My second Drunken Cinema (Scream 3 for Halloween) did not dissapoint. It was really great to do this again after lockdown lifted and we had a great time. They've got a good local beer selection, popcorn and the glow sticks and personal game cards make the whole experience more interactive while you get to watch a "so bad that it's good" type of movie. Thank you so much to the staff that put these events together.
Old theatre
Great little independent theatre with surprisingly comfortable seats. Lots of interesting and unique programming.
I love going to the Revue! They have a parent & baby screening every other Wednesday and that’s awesome!
A lovely community theatre capturing the unassuming nostalgia or yesteryear. Great efforts by the volunteers went into organizing the 'Tragically Hip's final concert. So a Big Thank You! to the volunteers and to the director for making it a special and memorable evening. Karen.
The
Cosy, cheap consessions, good flicks.
Went to 'Drunken Cinema' and it was a lot of fun!
Great vibe
Uhhhh ..best cinema ever
Perfect local cinema! a throw back with modern amenities. community oriented with a global perspective
Just love it
Nostalgia at it's best! Anyone who remembers movies pre cineplex days will really like this theatre. It's not for profit and prices are reasonable for what you get. They dont just show movies they provide unique experiences. I highly recommend the Boozy Revue. Grab a date and bring them here for a great time!
A neighbourhood landmark
Great cinema
My favourite place in the city to watch a movie.
One of Toronto's oldest movie theaters. Great place to see a movie on a budget
I love the ambiance.
Best little cinema in the city. A real sense of community with concessions that won't break the bank. Also licensed.
Best little cinema in the city. A real sense of community with concessions that won't break the bank. Also licensed.
Ah the Revue what is there to say really? This is the best little independent cinema going in my opinion. This not for profit community driven theater makes it fun and engaging to go every time. Their monthly schedules are always A+ with movies for everyone. It's never hard to find a night where something interesting isn't playing. However it's much more than that! They have many additions to their screenings other than just the movie itself. Whether it's a drunken cinema night, a 3D family movie, question and answer sessions or the many other things they do this place really has it all for the movie lover.
Old school theatre with charm. Love going to see the shows they put on as programming is unique and staff are friendly, quick & efficient.
It's a decent theatre to watch movies, classy but not modern like Cineplex setup. If a good movie is showing I recommend giving it a try.
Great small theatre to come in with friends. They have really cool events where they would show movies on film. Really cool to expreience the movie as so since most movies are being shown digital. Nice welcoming atmosphere really makes a point to bring the community through film
Best indie cinema in the city
Revue Cinema is very nice. It's the old school movie theatre with nice decor inside. The staff are always friendly and very efficient when it's busy. It's a small theatre so I recommend getting your popcorn and beverages early. If you don't you may be standing in a line that stretches to the middle of the aisle (which it often does on a busy night) like it did tonight. I often go here for Drunken Cinema which is a great event that runs once a month. I went today for my third time and I highly recommend it. The Revue shows a lot of movies you wouldn't normally get to see. For example they're showing an old Charlie Chaplin movie in late March that I didn't even know about, and there will be live accompaniment by a piano player too! I'd enjoy seeing this. So as you can tell, all this is really great. I highly recommend the Revue but don't forget to buy your concessions early!!
Charming. One of the reasons the Roncy strip is such a great part of Toronto.
Love this retro cinema
They have a great selection of movies.
Go-to place for any kind of movie from any kind of era, been going here 4 years!!!
Great move theater. I love the seats.
Great on short budgets-students, new parents etc...
Favorite independent theater in Toronto. Friendly, clean, good screen and sound.
Love this theatre. The festivals are fantastic, and the audience makes this place rock! There is alcohol, including cider and local beer. For popular shows: get tickets ahead of time, as screenings can sell out (and the rush line gets long).
Great room and screen but the plushy and otherwise comfortable seats recline way to far.
Nostalgic film screenins
A wonderful vintage cinema reborn.
Must visit if you are exploring Toronto! ????
Funky little neighborhood theater.
Great old school theater.
Nice location, very helpful staff, good selection of drinks and snacks also alcoholic beverages are available, the building itself is very old having been built in 1912 so it has a great Providence. I definitely recommend a visit to this fine establishment
Students price $9. The staff was nice
I love this cinema. It's a small theater with small screens but it feels so homey. It just feels different going to the revue then a big theater chain. Plus I like supporting local business.
An authentic theatre experience. They play an amazing variety of movies! Very comfy chairs and the perfect place to hang out with friends on the weekend.
Great theater. Decent prices. Play some fun older movies. Get there early so your not stuck in the front of the theatre, really hurts your neck.
Great place to catch a film that you might not otherwise see in the main stream theatres. Love the old school feel to the place and in a great neighbourhood as well!
Great neighborhood cinema.
So great such fun programming perfect for dates and culture?
Olde fashioned theatre with modern amenities. Great theatre atmosphere!
Just an amazing experience. From the classic look of the place to their selection of movies. And you can do a double feature, too. I hope to return soon.
Such a fun theatre. Nice and small and the prices are amazing!
Thank the maker for revue cinema
Love this place
Perfect local cinema! a throw back with modern amenities. community oriented with a global perspective
Places with this much charm are always great, but too few in the city. Check it out before it becomes a "shoppers" or something else tragic
Great rep theater
Great vibe and programming. Unfortunately have had some projections issues a few times though.
Can always count on the Revue to play really great movies. A forever-gem in the city!
The theatre was good and the ticket to go in is cheaper than the regular cinema. The atmosphere was excellent and the movie they showed was new. I didn't order any food.
One of the places that's fighting the hardest to keep the filmgoing experience alive.
Stunning and rare films, customer service with a smile, great neighborhood, an institution worth visiting on a regular basis.
Great local theatre. Perfect for any event and the staff are great! Great set up. Come here often.
I so adore the look and feel of this cinema, it has such a special atmosphere and a great history behind it. I recently learned that it was closed in 2006 and reopened / redecorated by the people of Roncesvalles one year after, in 2007. After that, it was turned into a not-for-profit cinema until nowadays. Visit it, support it and enjoy!!!
its a nice community theatre popcorn is delicious and its a great spot to see a film without driving for 20 minutes
Drunk Cinema Night is so much fun. I have now gone to three events and it is a truly entertaining time with each visit.
LOVE this old cinema - great programs for kids and families, and really great movie selections
Such an intimate cozy vibe!
Very friendly staff, comfortable seats and a vibrant local community make this cinema a joy to visit.
The best atmosphere, movies, audience and memories are for me at the Revue Cinema.
Cool atmosphere for mainstream movies and independent film experiences. Great family discounts too. And friendly staff!
I really love this place. My fondest memories are from here. But... I believe I've been bitten by a flie.
Great renovated neighborhood theatre which has kept its charm. They are reasonably priced and offer free movie screening events during the holidays. Place can fill up fast.
Cozy place, went for the 48 hour film project screening. Tasty popcorn and friendly people!
Old vintage Toronto
Love the Revue. Easy to get to, comfortable, good movies and good prices. Saw Ladybird tonight, great movie!
Amazing old cinema. Great experience and perfect for the kids
Great community theatre!
Good for an art-house. Needs some upgrades, specially chairs. Maybe reduce some noise from the corridor.
Favorite movie theater
Classic restored rep cinema offering engaging programming. The seating is not the greatest and the screen isn't the largest but it has an undeniable charm.
was nice and nostalgic. Old style cinema has died for which this is a rejuvenation. Food needs mot options. other than that everything else was great.
loved this place, if you want to get really into your movie experience this place is the best
Great local theatre and friendly staff!
A lovely neighbourhood theatre with recent feature movies - new big screen with 3-D too
Place for real Cinema lovers
Love coming to watch both classic and new movies in a great neighbourhood
For the first time being to the theater its pretty
Nice old cinema. Good movie and snacks. Nice people. Creative programming.
Glad that it still exists because it adds to the community.
Great older theatre that brings back memories of older times. Staff is great.
John Wick 3
Awesome venue and movies. Check it out !!
Great local theatre. Aside from movies, they also hold special screenings, community events, etc. In a great location too.
Nice community repertory theatre, plays mostly recent Hollywood pics with a selection of special screenings, family-friendly stuff for the kid-laden Roncesvalles crowd too. Prices are not particularly cheap ($12 or so) but less than a Cineplex. Screen is smaller and definitely no 3D or IMAX experiences here. Still a great option to have in the west end. They have a decent snack selection and sell beer (and maybe wine) during licensed special events -- but not most normal screenings.
They always have a lot to choose from an I really love it
Love this local cinema. Always brings a smile to my face. Great movies. Great community.
Old style reminds me of cinemas when I was a kid
Came here for a special event screening, it was a full house! Seats are comfy and non-squeaky. Popcorn is fresh- deliciously buttered and seasoned. Great community theatre, come watch new releases here and support this great place!
Drunken Cinema is an amazing event!
Sometimes the line up moves slowly. Its a great retro experience! And the popcorn is good.
swap the big screen experience, for a friendly, non-profit, affordable experience
The Revue is a great community cinema with inexpensive prices and friendly staff. In addition to recent releases, their films series and special showings always offer a unique experience, ranging from classics accompanied by panel discussions to lost gems from bygone eras. Definitely worth popping in for a show if you're a west-end resident.
Incredibly comfortable seats, great movies and reasonable prices.
Great place to catch a flick w/ an old school theatre vibe.
Nice old cinema
Favourite movie theatre! Love this independent theatre that offers new movies, old movies, great prices on admission and food, and really great events. My favourite events they do are Throwback Cinema, where they show an older movie -- possibly one you grew up watching-- and the Dumpster Raccoon series, which involves watching old cult classics with fun preambles including trivia and a drag performance! You just can't beat the old school feel to the place and the lovely staff!
Decent local, community cinema. It's nice to have an independent theatre in the neighbourhood.
Cinema has a pleasing retro feel to it. Great to see places like this still be popular.
an authentic cinema in a cool neighborhood
Incredible old style independent cinema. Great programming and events!
Comfortable seats, a concession stand that has wine and brews for purchase and something other than the same old Hollywood movies. There are no bad seats throughout the entire cinema either. Have a baby/toddler? Then come to the parent and child showings. Support your local rather than faceless mega corporation today!
Nice small cinema with friendly staff. I went for the toronto 48 hour film challenge screening. Was able to watch some talented actors and creators alike. Great place.
Always a memorable time at the Revue Cinema. They clearly love film and deeply care about creating a good experience for film-goers.
A neighbourhood staple of Roncesvalles. One of the oldest theatres in the country, so I’m told. The chairs are creaky, and the isn’t ‘stadium seating’ but the theatre’s charm and the sense of community isn’t comparable to a multiplex theatre. There’s something special here.

A wonderful neighborhood cinema with a massive screen and great sound system. They always have the best canteen staff - friendly and personable. Bathroom is always spotless.
One of my favorite spots in all of the city, they screen some movies that are very hard to catch on the big screen anywhere else. I’m glad to be within commuting distance from the revue cinema and forever a supporter. My favorite is when they screen the Ghibli movies
Uncomfortable seats but unique shows and movies so lots of fun.
Great place to spend a rainy arvo!
Always have a good time here
Amazing theatre!! This is a gem in the neighborhood.
Comfortable chairs, very accommodating
Nice
Cheap and great quality
Nothing special
Awesome art house indie cinema !
Old but mighty
Great interactive experience. I had a lot more fun than in a conventional movie theater. Also, a good way to bring back forgotten gems of movies from the past. We had a blast!
Great location on local transit route. Older building with back in time charm. Parking can or may be an issue.
Great classic theater in the city. Wonderful atmosphere.
Great cinema that seems to have a lot of loyal and passionate fans. Check out their Drunken Cinema lineup for an “interactive experience.” I went for their Roadhouse version and it was such a riot. This nonprofit gem is a staple of the community supports multiple charities and neighbourhood schools. Take a stroll down roncy while you’re at it.
Classic gem
Great cinema, really highlights the neighbourly feel of Roncesvalles.
Been going there since it reopened, and won't stop going back.
Great venue for movies I loved the classic trailers before the show
Always has a great calendar full of films, with friendly staff. One of my favorite theaters to go to for their special events such as Dumpster Raccoon.
Great little theater in the West end, highly recommend for classics you weren't around to see in theaters
super fun movies here!
It's a non for profit theater which is very cool and it's got the classic theater feel to it. Loved it and the "Drunken Cinema" event was so much fun! 100% would recommend!
Best in the area
Lovely place but the theatre was quite cold.
Absolute charm. The perfect place to quietly disappear into a beautiful film.
Amazing neighbourhood movie theatre. Excellent repertoire... At time artists will present their work.
Great local small movie theatre. Very well organized. They even use REAL butter for popcorn. Movie selection is great. Very warm and cozy seats! One thing is that the washroom signs are kind of confusing. But who cares!!!!!!!!! This is a perfect movie theatre for everyone!
Great facility. Excellent customer service.
This cute cinema is a gem in the city. Great movies excellent beer. They do raffles and amazing community events. I love going here
I love this theatre, it's one of the best in the city. It has great programming!
It's a not for profit community cinema that has many different programmes to get people out. Lots of interesting films. Job well done.
Great local theatre! Always a good time when we go see retro classics.
Great neighborhood indie cinema. They do private events too and are very accommodating, communicative, and easy to organize with.
Great place, go to their monthly drunk cinema
Charming old school theatre with a vintage feel. Small intimate cinema sizes, 1950s style candy bar, and a great series of events on including Food in Cinema. Highly recommend!
So glad to have this excellent theatre in the neighbourhood
One of the few cinemas in the area. Friendly staff.
Well kept clean old theatre. Shows an incredible range of films.
Old timey, this was a good time. 10/10
Coolest theatre in Toronto!
Lisa, you are tearing me apart! - Johnny
Fun experience theater. Seats Are like comfy couches.
I love this theatre so much. Went the other week and really enjoyed it. Tickets available in person 30 mins before each showing. Had popcorn, soda and chocolate which was great. I went around the Oscars so they sold chocolate in the shape of an Oscar haha, made by a local chocolate maker. Really cute and only $3. I felt bad eating it because it was so cute. Recommend!
Well preserved interior. A fun place to check out a film
Great place...I'd say it's overpriced for tickets and drinks but it was so much fun watching a movie there
First time here and was lucky enough to catch a sold out, beautiful restoration of the anime classic Akira. An incredible space, comfortable seats, great popcorn and drinks. Can't wait to see more stuff here!
Mixed my film THE WANTING here
I've never said this about a Cinema but the popcorn is fantastic. Wish there were more non-profit community cinemas. Shout out to #ThrowbackCinema
i went ot there palce, arrived in the place i amazed, its fullybooked. better luck next time.
Since 1916??? WOW!!!!! Amazing experience. Best VEGAN popcorn ever. The premier of "The end of Meat" will change the world. Help people make the connection.
Retro feeling
Amazing local theatre!
One of our favourite neighbourhood rep theatres! I love that they play silent movies on a regular basis.
Super chill theater with great prices for students! Also usually features movies you cant see in the big theaters
My all time favorite theater to go to. The way movies were supposed to be
A nice oldschool movie house with good programming. A fixture for west end film buffs.
torontomotofilmfest.com
Nice small theatre showing foreign movies. Friendly staff.
I love this independent cinema!! Some of my most memorable moments in the many hours I have spent watching movies in my life, took place at the Revue during the late '70s and early '80s. As a salient example, it was there that I watched all the hilarious films by the Marx brothers -again and again- as well as many other vintage movies - many of them unavailable elsewhere at the time. Long life to the Revue! From a lifelong fan and keen advocate of quality independent movie theaters - now living in Chile.
Although it's a small theater this is a great place to go with your family and support this great little theater they got the movies in as fast as they can but because there is a small theater they have to wait the longest to get the copies to put on screen they do their very best and they do a great job you should come and support this cool little theater
Great experience but back of the chairs could be a little bit taller for those of us with more height.
This place really feels like part of the community. The popcorn is good and the speciality showings are great. Always a treat to see something weird at the Revue.
Nice place - vintage vibe. Good sound.
This is a great community owned cinema. Love watching movies here
A very small and intimate theater. Staff is very warm and welcoming, atmosphere very calm and inviting. Genderneautral bathrooms.
Great cinema & great people! If you like old movies, you should definitely check them out.
Always and forever, a great neighborhood indie cinema for film buffs of all types:world cinema, the silver screen era, children's movies .... And the community events are alot of fun too! The staff are friendly and the vintage lobby sets the mood for an enjoyable unique experience . I have been a fan since childhood. ????
I love this place because it reminds me a lot of my childhood cinemas. It’s old but super charming and also very well located.
A quaint community cinema theatre run by a wonderful team of down to earth and genuinely nice people.
Best little Cinema in the city. Wonderful community vibe creating a right -sized experience with a solid selection of movies. An incredible demonstration of what community can achieve together.
Fun events, great staff.
Great cinema for intimate screenings. The seats are comfortable and it really gives you a nostalgic theatre feel. I always come here for the 48 hour film challenge screenings and couldn't imagine going anywhere else
Loved it so cozy will definitely b making this my cinema!!
My favourite cinema! The staff is so friendly, and it really does feel like its own community.
Great local
I love the Revue. Saw 3 Billboards. It was good and has a great ending.
Very cool atmosphere. The seats are comfortable and the cinema has an amazing lineup of films! Anime to Horror to Black and White favs!
It was really nice. Plenty of seats, not too busy. It was $6 on Tuesday! Really good overall experience
Excellent community theater, serves beer and has good programming!
Winner of 2018 NOW Magazine's Reader's Choice Award for Best Independent Film Venue Best popcorn (WITH REAL BUTTER!!) in the city, great staff! Love the classic cinema feel, and the prices can't be beat. Who could ask for more? And don't forget the biodegradable straws! They offer many kinds of beer, wine, and coolers. Nachos, popcorn and specialty chocolate make for great snacks, in comfortable chairs.
Great local movie theatre
Great local cinema, good place to catch a movie you missed in major theatres. Support your local theatre!
Awesome community managed and owned rep theatre that is well curated.
Amidst the burgeoning monopoly of Cineplex theatres in the city, independently owned places like Revue Cinema shines in their curated movie selection and nostalgia. The smell scale auditorium is comfortable and the location can't be beat. I hope Revue continues to operate for many years to come
Favourite theatre ever
Jojo Rabbit on a Tuesday night. Comparatively cheap popcorn and beer. Much better experience than a recent visit to the Manulife building.
Great venue for local and international films. Highly recommended.
Crunchy popcorn, just the place i want to watch movie.
Inexpensive,newly renovated,good newer seating,adverse movie selection.????
Typical cinema
For the true lovers of the movies. Old fashioned cinema like years before. No smelly popcorns!
Loved it@
i love the revue! staff is amazing and it gives you extra time to see movies in a theatre after their out
Watched Mortal Kombat and loved how familiar everyone was with the movie. One of the only times you want people yelling in a theatre!
Favorite cinema
It's the perfect neighbourhood theatre, now with beer.
Support your neighborhood cinema!
We need more theatres like this! Love seeing old flicks on the big screen!
Nice and Cozy!! Just enough seating for an intimate gathering for the Documentary film we saw!
I love this place! Just saw Parasite here last night and felt such a thrill to be in an historic theatre amongst many other film lovers! The atmosphere cannot be replicated.
Enjoyed the movie. Haven't been out to Roncesvalles for a movie in a long while and was delighted to see how nicely the ladies room was renovated. Before the mo ie, enjoyed a beverage at Coffee & All that Jazz. After the movie, took a nice stroll and dinner at Barque's Butchers shop. Great afternoon and evening. Will definitely return.
Nice place to go see a movie
Big theatre. Comfortable seats.
They always post the movies way in advance for people to plan ahead. They know when there is a PD day at school and put movies at the right time that's apropriet for them. They put the movie on more than one time so it gives you an opportunity to watch it. The price is great.
I’ve seen many many movies at this incredible establishment... many movies I thought I’d never see on the big screen! Impressive in every respect, this is the only place I go to see a movie ????????
The seats are a bit uncomfortable but it has a good screen and is generally a good theatre.
I've done the Comic Book Breakfast with my youngest son for a few years now. The new venue has adopted a Covid protocol which is acceptable, but still needs some tweaking. People got jammed up trying to get in at the door and the theater was too cold for us. The comic selection was not as good as we've seen in the past, and we noticed that many people left early which usually doesn't happen. They work the lobby well with individual size servings where they pour the milk from behind the counter, but there were too many people being served at the same time in such a small space. On the plus side, the total experience still brought out the inner nerd in us.
It was first and last my visit / i dont like !!!!
Dreadful movie, lovely venue with a community feeling.
Love this retro theatre. If you want a taste of nostalgia I highly recommend coming here.
Love this place
Great place with tasteful movie screenings. Consider the membership if you live close by.
The Revue Cinema is an amazing staple in the community. The events they put on are always a lot of fun and the atmosphere is classic and amazing. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. The prices at the snack bar are low though the quality of the popcorn and coffee can not be beat.
Quaint great preservation of heritage cinema
Everything you want from a local second run cinema. Great staff and programming.
Toronto's oldest movie theater, it is now a Non profit organization it is very well maintained. The price is reasonable. The service is friendly, and the movie quality is what you would expect from a theater this old. A fun night out, had a good time. Definitely would recommend that everyone does at least 1 visit.
An absolutely essential spot for cinema in Toronto. Comfortable seats and an inviting atmosphere, with affordable snacks and tickets. Great curation as well!
A historical movie theater
Great line up of shows. Super close to bars for after the movies.
Was here for a screening of 2018's 48hr Film competition in November. Had a great time, facilities were great and the seats were comfy for an older theatre. Thanks!

Best.
One of my favorite places in Toronto. Affordable and nostalgic
Love the 48hfp screenings there. Looking forward to seeing The Running Man there.
Sentimental landmark
Going again when a favourite arrives.
Charming neighbourhood cinema with cheap Tuesday nights and a good range of films playing in the theatre. Staff are way friendly and the popcorn rocks too.
Great. Never gets crowded.
Great old movies
(Translated) Old neighborhood cinema. San very good movies. If you are here for the date of the Oscars, I recommend going to see them at the movies, they do activities and have a great time. (Original) Cine de barrio, antiguo. San muy buenas películas. Sí estás por acá para la fecha de los Oscar, te recomiendo ir a verlos al cine, hacen actividades y se pasa muy bien.
Local, fun atmosphere with great screenings, concessions too. Very nice feel compared to the more mainstream theatre chains.
Went for a screening of The Room and got age-shamed by the redhead ticket concierge because I forgot my student ID and she didn't believe I was a student. She then called me 'Mariah' and continued with 'I call all the sassy customers Mariah'. Very unprofessional, will not return.
Such a great experience, very well kept up. Great popcorn and a beer with the show is very civilized.
Old school theatre, it was a great experience! I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Loved the movie but the seats were a little uncomfortable.
Wonderful neighbourhood theatre
Attended the Japanese film (Aijo) series recently, the place is within easy reach of public transit and parking facilities are easily attainable around. The staff have been welcoming and helpful, the host was pleasant and friendly. The audio had been great and the movie was wonderful. While the seats were not the most comfortable, i felt welcome and accommodated, and for that i am content.
Best rep cinema in the city. Beautiful old theatre with lots of great programs and features.
Fantastic local cinema playing modern films as well as classics.
Great repertory cinema.
A wonderful local theatre. So glad it's in the neighbourhood. A chance to catch movies that you otherwise might not see.
Amazing independent cinema! Awesome place to come if you want to see a movie on the big screen that you'll never find at a cineplex. The lobby still has that classic look that you'd expect, feels like walking back in time.
