The seats are the reason this theater is the only one I go to. Please put the ticket person back in front of the concession. Whoever made that decision has gotta be dealt with. Why would you want the customer fidgeting with their phone or pockets when their hands are full? Also, 30 minutes of previews is insane.

The cushioned reclining seats combined with the ability to reserve your spot ahead of time make up for the limited number of screens here. It's a little dated on the inside, but not enough to make it feel run down. There's even a couple token activated arcade machines in the lobby like in years past. Plenty of free parking available as well.

UA is one of my favorite theaters for opening night movies. It isn't well known so there are almost aways seats available even for large movies, it has reserved leather reclining seats, and has ample free parking unlike almost every other theater around LA. Only part that's annoying is the concession stand is also the bar and has a very slow line - if you want popcorn or beer with your movie you'll have to arrive a bit early

One of the last "old style" movie theaters left around. Even though some of the screening rooms have been updated with la-z-boy style recliners it's the decades worth of popcorn smell permeating the lobby that will take you back to the movie magic of the late 20th century.

Lovely place! The seating is comfortable and there's always plenty of parking. I really enjoy going to this theater when I'm not in the mood to fight a crowd to get into a movie. The condiments are a little pricy, but they do sell ice cream, and there's lots to choose from. Yum!

Nice place but seems to have more than its share of people talking or trying to be a clown during the movie. Please have an usher come in before the movie and politely remind people to STFU during the movie so we don't have to. Some theaters run a trailer saying if you disrupt the movie you will be ejected without a refund. Try it and see if you don't get a net increase in business.

This theater pales in comparison to the AMC Burbank 16. The screen quality is horrible if you are at the halfway point to the screen. Having to arc your head up the entire time. This is not true stadium seating compared to AMC Burbank 16. Never coming here again.

Management was lacking as they were unprepared. A newly released movie "Wonder Woman" was cancelled due to non-functioning equipment (sound with no picture). Overall bad experience as there were a long line for those who were asking for a refund or exchange for a new showtime.

I know it has been a while since they changed to assigned seating with recliners, but every time I come here, I am so glad that they have it. Must say that watching new movies was such a hassle due to the lines random seating etc. Now, I get to sit where I want and watch so comfortably.

This place seems to be gradually declining in quality. It feels barely functional and getting worse; way off from how great it used to be. They've even lost respect for customers and quality of service. I don't see this at the other Regal theaters I visit frequently. What a tragedy.

Just saw the Endgame! What a way to see a 3 hr. movie!! Cushy seats that recline both front and back. This is my second movie here at this place. Apparently all the theatres here have the cushy comfy seats. If I have to pay this much for a movie at least I can sit/lay down like I would on my comfy couch at home.. I will never see another movie somewhere else!

This movie theater is decent, it's old, and was remodeled quite some time ago with pretty cool lounging sofas. Only problem I find is that the screens seem to be too high in the theaters since this isn't stadium seating and all the seats are on the floor, it would probably be unbearable to watch a movie except for the fact that you're laying down almost flat. That said, it's an inexpensive alternative if you like to Lounge while you're watching a movie with the only other place to do that Gold Class in Pasadena which is also much more expensive. The other Pasadena option for movies is Pacific Paseo and the seats there are straight up and down and have an uncomfortable hard thing right behind your head if you're an average height man. So, the UA Regal La Canada is definitely an affordable and relatively comfortable theater for your general movie consumption.

I enjoyed the reclining seats but snacks seem over priced compared to other movie theaters. Movie theater is definitely smaller than others and appears not as well kept as other theaters under the same company for example Edwards and Regal. Staff was friendly. I go when it isn't too crowded. at first I couldn't get used to the giant recliners but now I kinda love them. when I go with my sweetie, its really comfy and its like snuggling on the loveseat at home. The screens are small but its cozy like your living room, especially with a glass of wine and popcorn.

I just went to watch Avengers. It was full and I had to sit on the first row(near to the screen). It was impossible to watch the movie, the seats are very close to the screen. I can not understand how they can sell tickets for these seats. Apart from wasting time and money, I got pain in my neck. I am so disappointed.

What an awesome place to see a movie! Black Panther Awesome! This is the way to see a 3-D movie. Reclining seats huge. Very comfortable. Chips hotdogs you're good to go. I went days after the opening. No crowds only a few people in the entire theater. No noise just perfect viewing experience.

It's an older theater. There is no stadium seating. The old seating was removed and replaced by non-power recliners which, if you move around during the movie, can awkwardly send you from reclined to sitting up in an instant. The price is comparable to ArcLight and AMC, but it should honestly be a couple dollars less.

My neighborhood movie spot. A little outdated. A little understaffed. This is great for a quick in and out movie experience. Screens are small compared to other big corporate chains. I come her when i dont want to leave the dog home alone for too long by himself. Get here 10 min after your movie time start time if you dont want to buy concessions....in n out real quick when movie ends with no walking all over just to get to car when movies over.

A small group of us call this "our theatre" and we drive 20+ minutes without traffic to get to it(much longer with traffic). But it's so worth it. For about 3 extra dollars, each person gets a large, clean, and fully reclining chair. Though it has completely ruined all other theatre experiences for me, I do recommend.

Plenty of parking but lacking a self serve ticket kiosk so you have to wait in line at the ticket booth. Also the recliners are on the hard side so hopefully an upgrade is in the works.

Ever since they upgraded this theater, it is my first choice for movies. They have taken out about 1/2 the seats per theater and put in wonderful LARGE seats that lean back. The aisles between seats are also wide, so no needing to squeeze through. You don't have to pay for parking and I have never had a problem finding a space (unlike Paseo or Santa Anita respectively). You can also pick your seats online so you know exactly where you are sitting. Tickets prices are reasonable. Love this place!

We had a voucher for one free ticket and arrived at the theater just before the movie was supposed to begin. The show was almost completely sold out. Having not been there for a few years, we were unaware that the seating accommodations have changed. We were offered two seats in the front row, which seemed reasonable. However, when we got seated, we were so close to the screen that there's no way we could have enjoyed the movie. So we left and returned to the box office. A manager there very graciously refunded our money, after which I realized that if we bought tickets for tomorrow right now, we can have our choice of seats and show up anytime before the movie starts, not half an hour ahead to guarantee that we get seats that we like. My friend said that the reclining seats are very comfortable; I did not even sit down, so I don't know. I'm sure that we'll enjoy the movie tomorrow, but for $10.50 for a senior on a weekday, I wish we had gone to our favorite, the Laemmle Playhouse 7 in Pasadena, where the senior admission price on Wednesdays is $4.50, and general admission before 6:00 p.m. M-Th is $6.00, and refreshments are discounted 20 percent (for Premiere cardholders). Those who believe that the Regal theater prices are low just haven't experienced the Laemmle chain.

When it comes to the cleaniness, friendliness, and value of this place no other movie theater stands a chance. The Regal App for andriod makes it easy to get tickets fast and accumulate a ton of rewards. This place is always well kept and the seats are reclinable and comfortable. The staff hooked it up plenty of times when I was going to use my rewards. They helped me get the most bang for my bucks through reward points and promotions. Also, this place has on premise parking iwhich is a plus with pelnty of spots. Definitely would recommend this movie theater to anyone. Keep doing what you are doing as I am an advocate of how welcome your establishment makes me feel.

My boo loves to come here for the reclining seats, but a recent visit left much to be desired. Usually they have decent food but that was all gone, replaced by hot dogs and nachos. When we asked we got a shrug that the food prep equipment was broken. The seats were literally tattered, like something you would see in east Germany. This is nothing new, but the crowd is pretty low brow, once again we sat next to a regular looking couple who thought it was ok to talk through the entire film. Last time we were here there were problems with the projection to the point where we actually complained. I'm a pretty easy going guy when it comes to these reviews but enough is enough.

Much improved after renovating the theatre. Serve beer and wine, large recliner seats, and clearer screens. Not as nice as AMC but great little place if you want a smaller theatre with way less people and a large screen.

Easy to rate this theater with 5 stars as they have limited assigned seating, plenty of legroom and comfortable recliners in each theater. The only way for me to go to any other theater is if the movie I want to see isn't screening at this theater. This usually isn't a problem as they have 8 screens and they show most of the popular titles at the time.

This is my favorite movie theater. My husband and I get discounted tickets through his work benefits otherwise I think it would be too expensive but the seats are so nice and comfy with the recliners and I like that we have two connected and we don't have to sit too close to anybody else but each other. Great for people who have anxiety about sharing their armrest with strangers. The movie and sound quality is also top notch and they almost always have the new movies we want to see. Bonus points for having a big parking lot that you never have to fight for a space in. We drive from Burbank because we like this theater so much.

My visit to the United Artists in la cañada was alright it could have been better. The pricing was very expensive! children's ticket was $10.50 and Adult tickets were $13.50. Now I do realize that there are king size recliners but the ticket pricing is just god awful. Maybe if the pricing was better then my experience would be better. Also I can't believe your theater only has senior days on Tuesday's for $7.50 while other theaters have deals for everyone. Other Regal theaters have Tuesday and Sunday Deal days for everyone for $5.00!! If you make changes to your prices then I will consider going to your theater again. Until then I will not be returning to your facilities.

Convenient theater but old. They have reclining chairs but they are far from comfortable. They were hard and uncomfortable and our backs were killing after the movie. I was tossing and turning just to find a good fit, which I never found. They were also loud and disruptive when anyone moved or put their chairs back to get up or to sit back down. They really need an update to their chairs and the theater in general. To top it all off the switched from Coke products to Pepsi products which is just a personal preference but was the icing on the cake to not come back.

Power went out mid Star Wars: The last Jedi, obviously not their fault but they told everyone to wait in their seats. Then someone comes in and tells everyone to come out to the lobby and wait there for safety reasons. After about 15 mins of standing around, I go up front and over hear a lady with a roll of refund tickets, who I assume is the manager, saying to one person that they will not be restarting movies that already started because they have to honor the remaining schedule and here is a refund ticket. So a few hundred people are standing around waiting for direction and no one is telling them what is happening. No communication from the staff. Everyone is just wasting time waiting for absolutely nothing. Power outage not your fault but j-Christ, get up and make an announcement telling everyone what the deal is instead of letting them wait for nothing.....on New Year’s Day!

Even pre-covid this place was the best. Pic your seats, recliner seats and super friendly staff. Free refill on pop corn. A small soda looks like a medium.. and you can buy adult beverages. Theres is also a monthly fee (if you choose) to become a member. Unlimited visits to the movie theater. Also, because the hot dogs were being cooked they broght them to us in our seats once they were fished. This is going above regular customer service! Outstanding to the employees and whoever trained them!

Concessions aren't anything special, pretty standard movie theater fair. A more than pleasant movie experience is to be expected at this theater.

This theater opened before stadium seating was a thing but they were smart and ripped out their old seats and put in leather recliners with assigned seating. There are a lot of new theaters doing this but they charge a fortune for tickets. The best part about this place is the ticket prices remained the same as they always were. Nice theater. Comfortable seats. Assigned seating, which is always nice. And they have a rather large variety of food, which they will happily serve you even though it's still frozen in the middle. Thankfully you'll only miss the first 10 minutes of your film while a somewhat perplexed teenager struggles with their toaster. They also have a pretty extensive list of beers. They don't actually have the majority of them, but they're happy to point out what a large list they have. Overall, it's a great little theater if you avoid their attempts at higher-end cuisine.

We have been huge fans of this theater ever since they put in the roomy and comfy reclining chairs. It's always been very clean, it's close to our house, and parking is always plentiful. But last night was different. Before our 7:15 screening, I went into the ladies' room and was surprised to find a line to use a stall. Granted, it's a holiday weekend (MLK Day), but the theater wasn't THAT crowded. Well, it turned out that most of the stalls were out of toilet paper, AND one stall had a broken door latch. Then when I went to wash my hands, I saw that both trash cans near the sinks were overflowing. Upon exiting the restroom, I went up to the nearest staffer to let him know. His response? "The problem is, we only have four female employees." Wow. I hope the manager can figure out a solution to this staffing problem, if indeed that is why the restroom is in unacceptable poor shape. Today, I thought I would call. After a fairly time-consuming phone tree, I was put through to the theater. The phone rang and rang, no answer. I tried twice. Next time, I'm bringing my own TP.

Beware of theater 2. I was so excited for this movie and couldn't feel more disappointed with my experience. The screen was so dark and out of focus on one side that I could not see any of the stunning visual detail of the movie. My boyfriend who had already seen the movie had to get up twice to let the management know but the problem was not able to be fixed. To their credit they gave us passes but who wants to go risk that again?

Very small theatres for a more intimate movie watching experience. Upside is the seating which are roomy lazy boy style recliners so you can put your feet up and lean back like your in your own living room. Great for larger people as the seats are very wide. The front rows are very close to the screen so you may want to ask about that when you buy your tickets. I was in row C which was about as close as I found comfortable without reclining back. The staff is very friendly and they have a few games and bubble machines in the lobby. The restrooms were clean. I didn't buy snacks this time. Overall it's a really nice change to the usual theatre experience. I'm not a fan of watching movies especially in a theatre but this place changed my mind.

Great quiet theater on weekdays for matinee shows. Gets busy the usual weekends at night. Warning: some theater rooms are small. You'll be able to tell when you buy your tickets through app or online. Rarely are the new releases in the small rooms though. If you have AAA you can purchase tickets there for $10 ticket. They do charge a $1.50 convenience fee so you end up paying $11.50/ticket; but I think it's worth it.

If you buy corporate discount tickets online (like through ticketsatwork), expect a negligible $1.50 surcharge in price per ticket for luxury seating upgrade at the box office. Only problem I had at this theater was that the seats are not electric and you need real strength in your legs to put down the recliner. If it wasn't for my friend, I would still be sitting there!!! Gotta make some changes there as I don't think I'm the only one because I saw one of the workers going around closing a number of them.

It's very nice, big, not that expensive, the seats are amazing that you can lay down in, and if you have a special someone you like to cuddle with, the arm rest goes up so you can do that.

Nice quiet theatre to visit with your family. Although the parking lot was packed the theater was not so full. We could enjoy "The Hitman's Wife" movie. Has foldable seats you can lie on and relax while watching a movie. A couple of faucets and all the dryers in men's restroom did not work. Has a photo booth and fun games in hallway.

I was surprised to see this theatre newly renovated. I've been here several times in the past but now it's so much better. Purchasing the ticket online was easy and I was able to pick my seat; it wasn't like this before. I also like their wide variety of choices in the concession area, they serve popcorn, nachos, hot dog, candies, ICEE, ice cream, pretzel, hot chocolate, coffee, cappuccino, soft drinks and candies. There are arcade games and candy machines in the lobby area. ~Drinks~ I got the latte, it's not sweet at all but it had a good flavor. ~Food~ Popcorn was good. I appreciate fresh buttered popcorn. ::Experience:: The seats!! I enjoyed sitting on the King Size Leather Recliner. It was cozy, spacious, and adjustable. Another reason why I like this theatre is because you can reserve and pick your seats online. ~Tips~ -Order your tickets online. You have the option to get the tickets via text message. -The seats online appear to be far apart but they are pretty close to each other. ~Notes~ -Parking lot

The giant seats aren't actually all that comfortable, the tickets and food are overpriced and they have the audacity to check your purse before letting you enter. They pretend it's for security but don't ask any men to open their jackets. They're really looking for food. They don't want to lose the opportunity to squeeze more out of you at concessions. I took my daughters to go see Frozen 2 and hands down this is the best theater I've been to. They are clean, organized, they sell beer and wine, they have reclining leather chairs (very comfy and roomy), and the choice of restaurants in the same parking lot is very good. I'll be watching movies at this theater from now on.

The Regal UA movie theater in the La Canada/Montrose/ La Creasenta area is a very nice theater. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean and well managed. The restrooms are close to the entrance and also very clean! They have a great snack bar, it is movie theater pricing, but if you'd like to go in and just buy a tub of popcorn they will accommodate you. They do have some games in the front lobby for the children and even adults.They also serve beer and wine, so no need to bring your own - lol. Parking is abundant with plenty of handicap spaces available! Please come and enjoy a movie, some popcorn, and a great time.

If you enjoy movies , please do yourself a favor and go to a different movie theater. Theater was not cleaned prior to showing. The chairs do recline but are hard to push back down to normal sitting position. The trailers set to play include ads and non related trailers which lasted way longer then expected with the theater lights on affecting the image on screen. I had to leave and let somebody know there might be something off with the system. I get covid has lowered staff numbers but there are great theaters with better service and quality facing the same pandemic. If anyone cares I would recommend iPic theaters and even Look cinemas.

The chairs are enormous in the parking is plentiful. Why drive into "the city" for a movie? Well I guess if the place is so comfortable and convenient, then the question is really why not wait for the movie to arrive on streaming services? But if going to a real movie theater is still your thing. This is like every other movie theater in every other way besides the two that I mentioned. Same overpriced ticket. Same overpriced popcorn. Same overpriced candy (that keeps in shrinking in size). But hey I'm not reviewing the movie theater industry, am I? I'm just reviewing this place.

They use to be much better. Way before Covid they stopped carrying boxes to put your popcorn and snacks into. They said it was because they switched to Pepsi brand. It’s now been over a year and a half later and they are using the same excuse. Also the cheese for the nachos doesn’t taste as fresh as it use to. Sad cuz this is my favorite theater . The seats are the best inside the theaters. I’m going to wait a while before I go back and give it one last try. I’ll go to AMC until then.

I love the large reclining seats...I will only go to this theater when I go to the see a movie. And I always purchase tickets online. Even if the theater is full the seats give you your own space so it doesn't feel crowded. Parking is not a problem. No complaints from me.
