Being the only movie theatre in town, this place really needs a renovation to bring it out of the 90s. Reminds me of theatres I used to go to as a kid in Coquitlam before all the SilverCities started showing up. Seats are somewhat clean (hard to tell in the dark lighting) but very worn down (fading and seats creak when they fold down). Sound quality is decent enough but not the best. Also, the HVAC system needs some upgrades as in the winter time, all the wet jackets and boots make the air smell like a wet dog.

This movie theater has been around for a long time and it serves its purpose, it has served it for as long as I can remember. however it does feel a little bit outdated, so when you do go to the movie theater do not expect high Tech modern feeling theaters. these theaters are a faint glimmer of the early 2000s

Love the paperless ticket. Nice theatre. Concession. Have one line and disperse. Waited in line way longer than others. Not cordial staff. Where others were superb. She filled large glass all Ice. Soo expensive and no pop.

It's a cinema, pretty clean and has more then one screen so over all pretty gosh darn good. Not amazing like VIP theatres in Vancouver, but still a great way to pass the time.

Glad Prince George has a Theater like this in town. The arcade is fun for the kids. the picture is huge and the sound is great. Cons - The food is way over priced! I remember being a teenager and how fun it was to go to the Theater every week. There is no bloody way I could go these days if I were a teen. You cant leave the floors stick for the next show.

I usually enjoy going to this place to watch movies with friends and family, even though its the worst theatre I have seen in Canada. But today, the employee who was at the entrance checking vaccine passports and photo IDs ruined our evening. Me and my husband had our vaccine passports with us, but I had forgotten my photo ID home. Now I understand that this is protocol now, even though it is highly inconvenient and discriminating against unvaccinated people. The guy was just weird about the entire situation, not at all understanding or humane about it. When I was waiting to see if someone back home could send me a picture of my photo ID, he kept staring at us impatiently and it was obvious he wanted us out of there. There was no point in even trying after that as even if we got in, we would not have enjoyed our time there. Left the place feeling disappointed and frustrated. I understand its not the company's fault that they have to ask for vaccine passports and all, but at least they can be polite and understanding about it.

I find The movie theatre Cineplex to be overpriced at The concession.. I've wud rather sit home with a few friends and put on a good movie with snacks..way more enjoyable and affordable.

Good staff, terrible ownership. Id rather watch a movie on my phone and be hygienic than go here. I don't think theater seats are meant to last 25 years. Also are the projectors even 1080p? Looks and sounds terrible. Save your money and buy a decent TV

The theatre is extremely old and outdated, seats are uncomfortable and when i came here and put my arm on the armrest the entire armrest fell off. The seats are dirty and smell like body odour which leads me to believe they don’t wash them. Carpet is dirty with stains in it. The quality of the screen was awful, the only good thing about the movie was the sound quality. The past two times i’ve recently been there, they have no ice for drinks and my drink was warm. The entire theatre itself smells unclean, the counters are dirty. Probably one of the most gross experiences i’ve had in any public building. Me and my family will not be coming to this theatre anymore, i’d rather spend the money to drive an hour away to a facility that is clean.

It's a Theatre, so access to the latest blockbusters is nice! Although, as I'm sure other reviews reflect, they hardly make any improvements. I went recently and found that the same chairs broken 2 years ago are still broken but now they've added fancy covers to block the seats off. I understand that Covid was hard on businesses but I doubt that that the owner/corporation wouldn't have been able to update some things while doors were closed. Considering the place hasn't changed in many years, I'm sure the revenue is considerably more than the cost of running. Please, maintain your Theatre.

I went to watch avengers endgame. Thankfully we got in about 40 minutes before show started because it was a sold out show. After about an hour is was uncomfortable and after 2 hours it was very uncomfortable and even more so near the end of the film. The prices are outrageous being $25 for two pop and two popcorn. Using 2000 points to get $20 off. Only use for scene points is for movie tickets. Sneak food in instead of buying from there and prices are very unreasonable. Because of all the people and it being super hot with some people making weird noises. It's worth just waiting for it at home to watch in the comfort of your chair or couch with reasonable snacks and controlled climate.

In short, it's a dive. Famous Players is run (and obviously largely ignored) by Cineplex. This theatre is ancient with old-school seating. Anyone who's been to a newer theatre with recliners (or God forbid a VIP) will feel like they've gone back in time 20 years, and not in a good way. The screen and sound are fine but for a so-called modern 6-plex it's shockingly dilapidated. The seats, washrooms and general atmosphere are woeful. You can tell it's the only option in town. If Landmark opened up a theatre here I guarantee you'd see a vast improvement really quickly in response. Famous Players is the welfare brand of cinemas, and it definitely shows, here.

Needs MAJOR renovations, many chairs broken or extremely stained ( look before you sit )wash rooms need various repairs,ie: soap dispensers, door hinges, a lot of minor things, but they add up! I've talked to management at the theater and the response is head office in Toronto REFUSING to spend money on repairs because Prince George is a low priority! The upside is staff is very friendly, helpful and considerate.

Ticket prices are too high, floor is sticky, a lot of the chairs are broken and one cinema has blown speakers. It's the only theater to visit in town and, you can tell, they are very aware of that. At least the staff are friendly.

Theatre hasn't been renovated in over 20 years. Arcade machines don't work, food and drink is overpriced, always dirty, seats are uncomfortable. Out of all the theatres I have been to, this one easily needs the most rehaul.

Went to the 715 pm showing of the Avengers- Infinity Wars.... The place was a mess. Garbages were overflowing... No one handed us 3D glasses like before.. so had to go looking... And on the way out it caused a bottleneck. At the end of the movie no one came in to clean at all. And the ladies bathroom... Disgusting.

Concession is priced ridiculously outrageous! I'd go more than once every 7 or 8 months if it was reasonable..I mean way too much in my book (From their site 2 Regular Popcorn + 2 Regular Drinks + 1 Candy $25.50 - $27.50 + tax). Seating I also find uncomfortable.. whether it was when I was 380 lbs or now that I'm 130..still sucks.

Theatre #4(3:10pm, Monday, October 11, 2021) was so cold, no heat and there was a cold breeze blowing through the theatre, I was chilled clean through by the end of the movie. I had to zip up my jacket and put my hood up.

Dirty, Ugly, Gross, Unsanitary, outdated, very uncomfortable, they had this place close for a year and they did nothing! In need of new management asap or close it down! Honestly they should have relocated to pinecenter in the big lows building. Would have been a nice upgrade to the mall and they could have put in a bigger arecade. Oh well... So, I'm standing here waiting in line for the concession to see the movie that's already started (I was here way earlier than you should have to be). The line isn't moving. It's like you have to win the lottery here to get the correct line. It also doesn't help that they have a Monopoly on movie theater entertainment in PG. Would be an overall mediocre theater worthy of two stars if not for the decision to show almost every movie in 3D. More than half their showings are in 3D and many movies they do not show 2D versions at all if they did not just come out. Maybe someday they will realize the sales they are missing out on, but without any competition in town I expect them to remain lazy and stick with whatever has let them scrape by so far.

Theatre is 30 years old and has never been renovated. Pretty sure it's got the same seats, and arcade games that I played there as a kid. In the 90's.

Good to watch movies. But the popcorn, I think is one of the reasons to enjoy a night out at the movies, it was disgusting and the butter too was terrible. Theaters are out dated, looks like same seats from the 60's. No LED's on the floor, if you have to step out and come back on a dark scene, you can't see a thing. Again the popcorn, No Name microwave popcorn is far better then what they serve.

With movie theatres potentially opening again soon, I thought it would be time to review the theatre I have (sadly) spent the most time in. I love movies. I actively try to attend releases when I can, I buy on Blu-ray, I watch hours of YouTube content about filmmaking and film discussion. If you haven't been to Famous Players 6, know this: The theatre is bad enough that as a university project, myself and three other students presented a mock proposal to city council with an alternative theatre / upgrade to the existing one. Four of us, all passionate to see a theatre that isn't a glorified outhouse. Four of us who spent hours researching, writing, and preparing reasons for why this theatre needs an upgrade. Do you know the cinema scene in The Blob (1958)? Well, Famous Players 6 is that scene except instead of running away, people are walking *into* the slimy monstrosity. An authentic part of the theatre-going experience in Prince George is the sickening sound of your shoes peeling off a layer of Coca-Cola and popcorn dust as you exit. The seating makes a chair on public transit look like a throne, and the fragrant rooms put Prince's pulp mill to shame. So why do I keep coming back? Simple, I suppose. I don't have an alternative. There are countless people in Prince George who would happily pay a premium price for even a decent movie-going experience. Famous Players 6 is not that. People deserve better.

This movie theatre has not been updated in decades. Many of the seats are in poor repair and are very uncomfortable. The floor, carpet and bathrooms are so old that they also seem very dirty. On a busy night the cleanliness is very poor. Cineplex needs to update this facility else people will just wait for the same movies on home/streaming services, whose monthly cost is less than one night at the movies with much more product.

Not a well cleaned place. Seats are pretty gross and an area of one theatre smells of urine. Arcade games are always eating tokens then you have to wait in line to get the coin back. Air hockey game is fun though. Often I have experienced movie previews starting well after the start time. Popcorn doesnt taste the way it used to either. Having to pay for butter on a bag of popcorn seems ridiculous. Have experienced some nice staff.
