Terrible front line service! I was charged $67 for 3large popcorns 2 pops and a couple waters. When I asked for extra butter I was charged $6 extra dollars for what looked like she counted out 5 pumps. Then, when I asked for the receipt after I paid the girl behind the counter said that since I'd already paid she wouldn't be able to print off a copy. The complete lack of customer service is extremely upsetting!

Mediocre at best. I've been to many Cineplex locations. This was falls short in a lot of ways. The seats are super cramped, the AVX seats don't lock in the reclined position, popcorn is the usual, incredibly overpriced, and they have NONE of the fancy stuff that have elsewhere. No choose your pop or restaurant offers. Many movies are forced into 3D leaving few 2D options. Disappointing considering the size of Kamloops. The 3D is out of focus and is really hard on the eyes in Kamloops. I used to think it was me, but after watching 3D films in other Ciniplex locations, I can confidently say the issue is with Kamloops.

Overall, it's a pretty good theater that they've been upgrading the sound and video on for years. Would be nice to see an extensive bathroom renovation though. They're getting a bit dank these days.

Let me tell you about an experience I had at the movie theater. I went in, and there was no one at the ticket kiosk. No matter, I'll get overpriced popcorn and a drink anyhow...maybe they can give me a ticket. 15 minutes in line....that's fine, I'm a few minutes early. Okay, got my ticket, movie starts in 15 minutes. I don't get a very good seat, no big deal...I can see the screen just fine. 15 minutes of lame ads and strange clips. Great, the lights are down...the movie is starting. 18 minutes of commercials. Then the movie starts. Movie is 2.5 hours long. I've been at the theater for almost 3.5 hours?!? And I've paid over $20 for the pleasure. Waste of time, and money. All for the "experience". When the movie start time says 18:35....it should start at that time. Not at 19:00hrs. Absolutely ridiculous. It's no wonder people would rather just set up their own system at home. Safe to say I won't be coming back. I have enough consumerist garbage rammed down my throat on a daily basis....for free.

Since the addition of the UltrAVX theatre, its been a pleasure to go see movies here. Sure ticket prices are kind of pricey, but the seats are super comfortable. And perhaps treat yourself to a dbox seat (some films are better suited for such though)

We got a Scotia Scene card and that gets us a bunch of free movies and popcorn every year- I highly recommend getting the card because it was close to $40 for me and my kid to go and pay cash for one movie- 2 tickets, popcorn, drink and candy combo when we were out of points. This location of Cineplex is decent condition and cleanliness. It's the price of a 2 ticket and junk food combo that knocks the rating down more than a star , but I keep going back :) Scene card bumps the rating up :)

The Cineplex has started to get busy again. Be sure to have your digital proof of vaccination + photo ID ready, since they're diligently checking before allowing customers to enter. Pretty typical Cineplex cinema where a Scene card & points can be used. Lots of options for films to watch, with most films sticking around for 2-4 weeks. Usually a lunchtime Saturday matinee show aimed at kids and families in addition to the usual first run scheduled film. They also play special events of artistic and cultural performances such as ballet and opera on the weekend. The cinemas and facilities are clean and the staff are generally helpful. Popcorn, drinks, and candy are overpriced, but that's part of being "typical". I also appreciated the staff's sense of humour.

Me and my sister went here to watch Ant-man and the Wasp. We went in the mid-afternoon and everything was nice and clean, and the service was great and the seats were pretty comfy. Other reviews on here about pricing, commercials, and stuff should be ignored cus it's a standard at all movie theaters.

The older concession lady -about 30 - snapped my head off and didnt even give me a chance to speak and was so rude in demanding my scene card for movie tickets stating that I can go to the kiosk. Didnt even know what that was never mind which one or where. Went to a different concession girl - blonde about 20 and she was grabby and snotty when I placed my order. The ticket collector - a younger guy - was very helpful in answering our questions. As we are relatively new in town - I dont think we will be back very soon after tonight.

I sat in the new DBOX AVX seats that move and rumble. I liked it but I will go for the regular AVX next time. The movie was a total turd (Jason Bourne) so I really found it kind of annoying after a while. If the movie is dumb, this effect makes it worse. The few things I don't like about this theatre are that when the concessions are busy, it's impossible to get through to the theatres, and all the washrooms are upstairs except one handicap on the main floor.

I can't believe this theater gets a 4-star average. It's filthy, run-down, expensive, austere, had failed sound during the pre-film commercial content, offered no food or drink beyond limited popcorn/pop/dog/candy fare, and had glaring interogation spotlights shining into moviegoer eyes during seating. I would be seriously ashamed to be part of ownership or management for this embarrassment of a cinemaplex. Kamloops needs a cinema upgrade badly.

I was in the AVX theater, which did have noticeably thumpier bass and cost a couple of dollars more. The rocker seats were more comfortable than the standard seats and the room had all reserved seating. Snacks were extremely expensive, as usual, and not worth the price. Overall, I would prefer to stay at home to watch movies.

This cinema is very nearly self serve apart from the concession. You must pick and purchase your tickets either through the website, app or touch screen self serve stations. There are some cute bits of merchandise and a few arcade games to play here too. The service at the concession is typically pretty quick as long as you have decided on what to order before getting to the counter. *Cough cough family groups** They have a margarine pouring machine so you can add all the greasy goodness you want too!

Screens are what you'd expect, sound is good quality. Canteen is expensive but well equipped. Reserve seating available at their website. Regular seats are a bit shabby. Tuesday nights are around half price for general admission. The washrooms are fairly clean.

Most of the cinemas are old and outdated. Sitting in the news seats is nice but the old theater seats are very uncomfortable. The concession is very over priced too. I also find the washrooms are clean at the early shows but anything after that they're disgusting.

Nice theater, however we required a closed captioning device to enjoy the show. The device was never able to connect and kept falling out of the cup holder. Definitely a fail for people who are hearing impaired.

I asked what size of popcorn I had to get to get a refill and he said a large so halfway through the movie I went back to get a refill and was told they don't do refills and when I asked him why he told me.befoee they do he just shrugged and said sorry I no speak good English. They need to do a better screaning process before hiring people. Also the seats are very uncomfortable.

The theater looks and feels old and rundown, not a typical place for cineplex except maybe back in the 80s. The seat placements were great so you don't have to worry about tall people but they were worn down and broken . I had a spring pressing into my butt during the whole movie. I'm not going here again. Vernon or Kelowna.

People are not going to movies as much as they used to... so you may want to make sure those that are coming have an enjoyable experience. One way to ensure that would be to make sure the place is clean. Sticky floors can make sitting through a movie quite unpleasant.

Went see Star Wars. Found the theather quite clean and spacious when we arrived. Walked though piles of debris of popcorn and chips on our way out. People are really inconsiderate animals. We booked seats that vibrated and moves along with the movie scenes. In my opinion not worth the extra $7.

Little bit pricey, but seats are comfortable, sound is awesome, and lots of showtime variety. They have lots of snacks to pick from, and arcade machine in the lobby while you wait. Late movies are a definite plus if you wanna avoid small children. Only negative is the ridiculous number of trailers and ads ( like seriously 20 mins...) before showings.

I have so many memories with this movie theatre. Staff is usually friendly. They don’t mind if you sneak in your favourite snacks. (Sweet) Popcorn is what it is. Fake buttery goodness. The soda is lame, like any other fountain pop. The seats are probably nasty. But, hey they look clean... ish. The floors are usually sticky from what one assumes is spilt soda. And the underpaid employees try to quickly sweep, mop, and tidy the theatre for the next show with a smile on their face and letting you sneak in your own m&m’s.. I’ve lost my phone here once and got it back, so that’s honest of people and pretty cool. Scene points are glorious! And now they have little kiosks so you don’t even have to have human interaction to buy your movie ticket. Win win. Yep standard movie theatre that we all know and love. Sound is too loud for me. So maybe -⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Mission Impossible movie was in a "fancy" theater so our vouchers did not get us in without paying additional charges. The self-serve stations did not explain the additional charge so we backed out and lost the seats we had wanted and had to go wait in line at snack bar to find out what the problem was. Went to the theater on a Tuesday to see the 7:20 showing & got there & the box office was closed & had to purchase tickets from the concession stand. Why on earth would they close the box office on a Tuesday prime time showing???? Tues has to be one of their busiest times. So we waited in line at the concession for 30 mins, when we finally got to the start of the line the movie had already started & there was only spots left at the very front of the theater. So we left. What a waste of 30 mins.... I'd highly recommend staffing the box office during prime-time showings and/or get extra staff at the concession because it's ALWAYS slow there. Never understood why (it's literally pouring pop & scooping already made popcorn)

It does not seem like big spoilers but it still is little ones. Over the last couple of years these inteviews and reviews prior to showing have become more revealing. Went for a late night movie. Wasn't overly crowded. Seats aren't the most comfortable however they have good staggering to see over the people in front of you. The typical selection of snacks and popcorn are available at the typical theater pricing. Washroom was clean despite the large number of users. Staff were friendly and accommodating when I had questions.

Very comfortable seating. They need to do a quick clean between movies, at least pick up the main garbage. Couldn't use the cup holders because they were full of garbage.

Movie was so loud alot of people covered their ears, took my niece to the handicapped bathroom and it was so dirty. Toilet paper everywhere and mostly everything was wet. Place was pretty gross. Checked the cleaning schedule on the wall and it said it was cleaned 1.5hrs earlier. Hopefully they can check in on the bathrooms every half hour so it doesn't look like the garbage can getting knocked over by a tsunami. I suggest bringing some hand sanitizer to wipe the place down or just pee in a dark corner.

The movie 'Doctor Sleep' was amazing! But I have to take some serious points off. It was shown in one of the smaller theaters which is older, not a big deal really. What made it terrible was the floor inbetween the rows of seats was so sticky, any time you lifted your foot up you could feel resistence. I'm not sure what's going in there but it was truly disgusting.

An amazing experience watching 3D movies on the rocking comfortable seats. When I went to watch Venom 2 due to some technical issue the 3D movie did not work, so we had to watch it in 2D but they provided a courtesy ticket as a token of apology.

I rarely take my children to the theater anymore for the fact we must watch over 25mins of senseless commercials and ads that have nothing to do with the film. But I did last night for a movie they wanted to see. Even my kids were complaining about when the movie was actually going to start. They even started making bets with each other that it was going to start after the next ad, and eventually stopped after the 10th or 12th one...only to be followed by 15 to 20 more...(even the same ad more than once) and the worst part they were the ones who said we should have just stayed home and waited for the movie to come out. THAT WAS FROM AN 8YR OLD and a 10YR old. This has gotten so ridiculous. Movie was great. But even a child knows when they are being subjected to garbage. Buy a mini van, Buy a car, Buy a truck, Buy another mini van, Join this club, join that club, Change banks, ect ect ect...Kids were more disappointed than I was. What does that tell you?

We can't believe how many people won't take their children to this theatre because the sound is waaaaaay too loud. We will not be taking our grandchildren back. We have been there twice and we've had to leave part way through the show because they couldn't stand the loud sound any more. It's a shame because this is an outing we can do together.

Just moved back to Kamloops from Surrey. Yes the cineplex theatres down there are bigger and nicer. The Kamloops cineplex needs a face lift, some renovations if you will. Its showing its age and the washrooms smell and aren't clean. I do have to say the staff are courteous and helpful.

I got the movie passes from Costco. I didn't see any info regarding the surcharge of $3 pp for AVX (supposedly a better sound system but I couldn't tell the difference). When we went to the concession to convert the passes to tickets, the cashier just rang up $12 extra without offering me any info or reason, I had to ask what it is for! I didn't know what AVX is and why they charge more for it and finally a manager came and told me that I can go to the other theater, but the pass I got from Costco is specifically for Cineplex and she even told me that there is only one Cineplex in town! I wish there was a info on website or if they had informed me before ringing up the surcharge! Please don't assume everyone is aware of your every single new surcharges or rules because I don't go to the theatre often! I will likely just get a DVD instead of going to the theatre next time!

Theatre is nice enough. Food prices make you want to gouge out your eyeballs. Staff is as expected for minimum wage. Interior is kept clean except for the handicap bathrooms. Has every feature except IMax.

Prices are decent, picture and sound quality are excellent, however some theater rooms are quite unclean, ie garbage under chairs from previous showings and floors feel as if they have never been moped since opening day, would put 4 stars if not for the lack of cleaning in some of the rooms

Love the theater experience is fun to do with the kids. Only problem is the cost! 50 bucks just for tickets of a family of four. And for basic snacks is another 30 bucks. Expensive family night but hey the kids like it what can you do.

$22 for a pop, Popcorn, and small bag of candies on top of the movie ticket is getting a bit ridiculous. This is why piratism and movie downloads is on the rise. For the space, seating, and quick file you thru like cattle lines is not pleasant.

My daughter left her backpack purse hanging on the arm of chair on Sat. Nov. 20th - we didn't realize it was forgotten there until Thurs Nov 25th!! We drove straight to the theater (which wasn't open for another 45 mins) and knocked on the front doors. An employee saw us and literally RAN to the lost and found, and RAN back with the backpack - he was super nice and polite. Not only did she get her backpack back, but her wallet with $40+ cash was still there :) We are super grateful to your honest employees, thank you!!

Jumanji was a amazing movie and the young lady at the concession was great. The stairs leading into the building needed to have the packed snow removed and salted. The theatre was freezing and my toes even with wearing my winter boots were cold. Those stairs are a tripping hazard something should be done about it immediately.

There's always just massive lines and for whatever reason the staff they hire seem to be so incompetent that they could likely of work there for a year, but you think that they'd only work there two days. I don't know how they managed to get the floors so sticky before any of the movies even really start. But it's pretty disgusting, things are breaking, I watched countless people who were in theater 7 walk up the stairs and one of the pieces of the tape that lines the stair so that it it's illuminated had come off, but was tripping everybody, which is an extreme hazard. And if it had not been for us having coupons as a Christmas present it likely would have cost us about $50 for a shity experience at the movie theater to a movie that wasn't really all that good. If not for that coupon we likely wouldn't have never even gone to begin with

Maybe I'm sensitive but I wish I had brought ear plugs. It was so incredibly loud. Also watching 20 minutes of actual commercials was terrible. I guess they have to pay for empty seats somehow. I haven't been to the movies in a long time with Covid but I'm realizing my living room is much better.

It's not even worth it to go see movies in the theatre anymore it's way too expensive and the seats aren't comfortable!! I went with my boyfriend to see Thor Ragnarok and just for 2 standard 3D tickets with popcorn and candy was $61 I will not be going to the movie theatre anymore, I would much rather stay in the comfort of my home to watch all the movies I think my money would be better spent on a big 3D tv to watch these at home for way less. They're going to price themselves out of business one day!

I ordered popcorn from this theatre from skip the dishes and they went above and beyond. They wrote nice things on the bag and they even trew in a stuffed olaf!!!! I was jist so happy reciveing this. It made my night.

What a dump the theater has become! Overpriced, displays a mess, and the floor and seats were FILTHY. I took pics to send to head office. The theatre was empty. Put some more staff on to do the upkeep!
