We have the reviews of people who purchased the services and products of Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga (Movie Theater) near to the area of Argentia (Canada).
Nowadays the business receives a score of 4.2 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is really positive, and it is founded on a very high number of scores, so we can conclude that the evaluation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
Going to see a movie with someone and going to the concession stand is an expensive proposition. Lack of incentives, promotions and discounts also contribute to poor value for the movie experience. The Scene Card program has a lot of room for improvement. The biggest irritant was the patrons using their cell phones constantly during the movie and a total lack of response from the Cineplex management. I found the teathre dirty before the start of the movie.
The layout of this Cinema is pretty nifty. I like how there are second floors versus other cinemas with one floor layout and multiple screenings. The Cinema itself is pretty well kept, standard for Cineplex locations as the self-serves are near the front and they have a nice central location for tickets before heading into the other sections of the theatre. Never had a problem with the movie screening so far! I quite enjoy this location as it's near the Bus Terminal (MiWay/Go Transit).
Great location if you live in central Mississauga. Service has never been that bad. Parking is sometimes scarce since sauga is a driving city but other than that it's my family's theatre.
Great Cinema at which you can see all your current shows. They have modern movie theater futures such as IMAX and Dbox. The theaters are in okay shape, but could be more clean. However this is not surprising considering this is a very busy theater due to its location next to Square One. Overal a good place to watch a movie with your family or friends.
I watched Dune and Eternals in 3D recently and it was a great experience. I wish there were better eating options. I got a hotdog which was really bad.. just sausage and bun no sauce no condiments ????
Great location, nice selection of movies, and great food and entertainment. They have a variety of ways to purchase tickets, and payment methods-- cash, credit, debit, scene points, coupons/vouchers. The self serve machines now also accept vouchers, so you don't have to redeem them at the box office! Scene points can be redeemed for food items as well. The arcade has a bunch of games-- racing, rhythm, air hockey, punching, and others. Sunday mornings before the theater opens, there's church service at 10am-11:30am... It's really comfortable, welcoming, and easy-going!
Huge cinema place. It was a little weirdly layed out which made me feel a little uncomfortable but 4/5
The IMAX theater is really small compared to that of other theaters, but still serviceable. They have plenty of food options though, including a forzen yogurt booth.
Very cool when the movie plece is open very early
The server at the drinks & popcorn counter was abysmal was so quietly spoken with the surrounding noise could not be heard clearly so had to ask for them to repeat themselves . Then there was a refund as the item wanted was not in stock . We purchased a hot dog ,it was when i thought that the server had forgotten to give it to us that we were then informed that we had to go to another counter ! where there was a queue, which we joined as we got closer we discovered that there was a number on top of the reciept that related to serving up items that wasn't pointed out to us the customer ! Then we got given a Luke warm hot dog because the number had already been called !! We had arrived in good time but this time & some was all taken up with the purchase of film consumerbles took a hassled 20 minutes ! Luckily my son didn't miss the start of Captain Marvel ! NOT A HAPPY FILM VIEWER..
High quality, clean, and the staff is top notch.
It was a good experience overall. Staff was kind and proactively offered to help when they saw that I was struggling with the system. Thank you.
Cinema needs some major work. Just run down over the years. Service is great but venue has gotten really bad over the years. I have been coming here since it opened. Needs a revamp badly! No passing left on the seats. Very little leg room in most theaters. Carpet is dated and drab. Can go on but won't because this place has been a part of me, my friends and family for several years. Hope for some positive changes soon! I know ciniplex has the funds for it.
Most terrible place I’ve ever been. The people are rude, do not listen to reasoning, and do not respect their guests. They kick people out without listening to an explanation. If you were planning to go watch a movie go else where. Spare yourself the disgusting costumer service and go somewhere where they’ll treat you like an actual person.
IMAX was crystal clear but the have the sound far too loud to enjoy the movie. Trailers were extra loud for some reason.
$9 for large popcorn? Also the theatre #10 speakers were producing a noticeable hum the sounded like someone was using a microwave the size of a small car, disturbing any quiet/suspenseful moments during the film, bleh.
Excellent visit to IMAX. Strict protocols in place.
Cineplex Cinemas are all modern entertainment facilities with 3D options available too. Beautiful seating , nice movie time food and lot many fun things .
Great cinema big screen
Love taking my two son's and their friends for movie nights here. We come almost every other weekend.
It’s a good theater. The parking is pretty spacious but the drop off area is little tight and busy. The people are nice inside and helpful. Scene points really help if you got any.
Really nice to relax and watch a movie here. It’s organized and clean.
Physical distancing during movie left something to be desired. Smaller theater and everyone jammed in centre. Also projector seemed dim which made a dark film hard to see.
I enjoyed the theater it was clean and seat was comfortable & the screen was very clear
Good theatre in the heart of Mississauga! Only issue is that it can get pretty packed sometimes. Better off buying tickets online, (to avoid the lines) if possible.
The projector crapped out during the Captain Marvel premiere and they had to move everyone to a different theater. The staff were all very nice considering the situation. Lots of the games in the video game area dont work, which disappointed my kids.
There is tons of parking at this location, and during lunch time the cinema is empty. The popcorn is usually fresh and not over salted. There is also a small arcade near the bathrooms which are clean. Unfortunately some of the theatres are small which makes viewing the movie not nearly as enjoyable if you are accustom to a large screen. The staff is friendly and this location does serve alcohol if drinking at the theatres is your thing. If you collect Scene points download the app to participate in the trivia game before the movie starts for free points. Beware: Water is extremely overpriced.
Best place to escape from busiest life and stress
Like the way Cineplex checks your ticket closer to the entrance now, instead of where they had it set up by the escalator, and you would be fumbling your snacks and drink to give them the ticket. Still not happy with how few SCENE points TimePlay participants get...
Excellent Location with plenty of parking Has been my favorite hangout spot with my friends on weekends & holidays Theater is clean, well staffed & has decent movie screens with 3D and iMAX They play Hollywood, Bollywood & many other international movies.... Tuesdays are half offs so come along with your friends & family for a movie night out
Good and well sounded.
Went to watch Free Guy.. couldnt hear dialogues properly just a lot of loud noise But the place is nice just the audio needs fixing
My local theatre! Friendly staff!
Kind staff but.... Theatre seats almost always have gum on it so be careful where you’re sitting! bathrooms are dirty almost all the time.. cleanliness needs to really improve.
Very busy on the weekends. Front row seats way too close to the screen. How possibly can someone enjoy a movie when the viewing angle is so bad?
Excellent location near by Square One Mall. Great selection of movies. Very modern clean theatre, seats are really comfortable. Movie screen is well positioned and pleasant to watch. Very good sound. There are the options to buy tickets on line, using a bank machine in the theatre or from the front desk. Staff is very friendly and professional. Excellent customer service every time. Really good selection of food, drinks, popcorn and sweets. Over all great theatre, get some popcorn or food and drink, enjoy movie. Ignore negative reviews. They are just not true and overly exaggerated. I am coming here for years, place doesn’t deserve such bad comments and whining. This is the reason l wrote to nix exaggerated negative reviews. People who complain about theatre have nothing else to complain about. Ridiculous. Experience for yourself movie of your choice and have a good time. You will enjoy time well spent in this great theatre.
Good movies and seats, cleanish, but the reason i'm removing one star is that the concession store's prices are off the charts, a bag of popcorn for 7 to 8 Cad, cannot believe, everything else is still amazingly pricey, so look out for prices.
Great theatre but with the growing population, this place gets very crowded easily. Unless you have reserved seating, show up really early for your movie regardless if its opening night or not.
People going to cinemas in Ontario are exceptionally oblivious to all requests from the theatre management that they should not use their cell phones during the movies. These are really selfish, or maybe just stupid people.
Good theatre, lots of parking space which is really convenient. Only reason not 5 stars is because some of the older theatres seating is really outdated and uncomfortable.
So I went to the cineplex for the first time since interstellar and I don't know how many years before that. The reason I don't do theatres is because I always have a hard time relaxing to a movie with people kicking my chair, having conversations, cell phones going off, etc. But for Avengers 2 I felt this was something worth the effort. And of course if you're going at all, it's gotta be IMAX, right? Go big or go home! I was totally shocked at what they changed. They incorporated these new seats which have a really comfortable aposltery BUT the seats are SO tightly close together and so small that I would've been more comfortable sitting on a toilet. I had to turn sideways to get my butt past the arm rests. And the arm rests were so paper thin that my forearm was basically flirting with the poor kid next to me. and my buddy beside me basically had to sit with his hands on his knees, cramped up like this was economy class for midgets. Actually I've been on a plane recently and that was economy class and I actually remember having more room and breathing space than these retarded cineplex seats. my other buddy is a bit on the bigger side to the extent where he can't go to wonderland because he doesn't fit in the rides. He's recently been working out and I honestly believe if he hadn't lost 50lbs over the last year, he wouldn't have fit in the seats, period. COME ON CINEPLEX! SERIOUSLY!? Come on, we all know theatres are constantly dealing with a decline in ticket sales to the point where i really only see young kids there with nothing better to do with their time. I guess they've decided that we, the consumer, don't need to be comfortable for us to pay them money. Next time, regardless, I'm waiting for the Bluray and watching it at home on MY big screen.
Great cinemas!
Went to see a movie in Imax, it was great sound, visuals were perfect and the seats were very comfortable. Only kind of negative comment I'd make is the lobby area close to the Imax theater seems a bit old and lots wasted space.
Really nice theatre, Cineplex is a tad on the expensive side, I tend to only go on Saturdays to watch the family favourite at 11:00am for 2.99, great staff , popcorn isn't very good though , try imagine theatre or cinez Starz much cheaper
Not the most accessible place for people with disabilities. No elevator service, and the downstairs escalator was also out of service. The popcorn needed salt but the theatre only offered flavored popcorn packets for sale at 50 cents each. I recommend purchasing movie tickets online before hand to gain quick and easy access past the ushers. This theatre is dated but I enjoy the convenient location that has ample parking available. Enjoy your show.
Very dirty facility. Restaurant is filthy. Hallway not clean. Seat old and uncomfortable... Winston Churchill location is much better
It is good but seats are bit uncomfortable. The good thing is that we can book the seats so there is no need to rush. Can redeem Scotia scene points to get food and movie tickets that is so awesome!
Everytime we come to this location, we never have issues. Customer service is great. The bathrooms are actually always clean, same with the theatre. I forgot the manager’s name, but he was very friendly and we had a great conversation. :)
Good theater with a lot of selection. If you have the time go to the Cineplex on on Courtneypark much better experience!
Seats are not comfortable...
I love going here but I recently went to watch Star Wars in 3d with 20 of my family members and those seats are incredibly uncomfortable I would have preferred the regular seats or maybe they should think of upgrading their seating options.
Spacious multiplex. Food options are good. Seats are not comfortable.
Simply amazing place to enjoy whit the family or friends. Good service and confortable.
Swapped my good seat tickets tothe second row in front without even asking. This happened when I took the tickets a day before from the counter. The next day also wasted as we did not see the movie and there were no other seats left. Poor customer service. Poor management.
Pretty empty these days staff is nice. Every tuesday movies are half off so that's the time to go. I enjoy coming to this location
Watched venom 2 it was amazing
Not sure who installed the seats in screen 9 but they were positioned EXTREMELY forward! I've been in the IMAX screen there and the chair's seemed fine. So don't know if they were installed this way as a joke but I would highly suggest management get a hold of someone and have them adjusted back! I'm a big guy and it took a lot of effort to try to push it back, so myself and family spent the whole movie feeling like someone's foot was pushing are seats all the way forward. Screen and sound were fine, not sure if the seats are the same in some of the other screens there but I know the IMAX screen chairs are fine.
Manager was rude. Me and my friends were having trouble with the photo booth. We were trying to print 4 sets of photos and the machine kept saying to put more money in. When she came by she picked up 2 photos and handed them to me and left straight away. Not asking me if there was anything else. I had to chase after to explain we paid for 4 photos. She didn't apologize for her rudeness. All because we're a group of teens doesn't mean we deserve less respect we are still paying customers. Also we were not provided 3D glasses when our tickets were scan and realized we needed them when the movie started and had to miss some of the movie to get it.
Be careful with show time they posted, I went for 4:30 show lion king, and was told it is Hindi version. Since I don’t speak Hindi, totally wast my time. Can you mark it clearly? What is Hindi any way?
Great theatre. Ultra AVX is awesome.
Went into purchase a ticket on a Monday night to the 70mm IMAX showing of Dunkirk. Front ticket booth was closed and while trying to rush to get a ticket from the concession stand instead, two large groups pushed ahead of me and bought up a ton of seats. This would not have happened if there was a proper employee manning the actual ticket booth. Now, on to the movie itself. It was awful. There was a large section of the right side of the screen that was scratched, and during light scenes (Dunkirk had a lot of brightly light scene, so this was a problem) you could see what looked like bright white scratches all over the effected area. It wasn't exactly a small area. I was sitting in section H seat 29 which is on the point edge. There was a wire from an old light fixture that was loose and covering a small part of the lower right side of the screen. Also there was something wrong with the audio, I saw interstellar in 70mm IMAX at the Colosseum theatre on highway 7 and the audio was much richer, deeper, crisper and bassy then the mess I heard tonight. It sounded as if only the front channel speakers were firing. It did not sound immersive at all in fact it sounded noticibly worse then ultra avx as well as really poor compared to the sound I heard and enjoyed several years ago at the aforementioned theatre.
I would always frequent this theater when I lived in Mississaugua it's always super packed here, but there are a bunch of screens so it's usually easy to find seats.
My first and last time there! Poor signage to find right room, and later, the washroom. Upon arrival door person usy talking to colleague, only stamped printed ticket and vaguely gave directions. Not room number or anything. Took for ever to have a sandwich and fries at counter! 4pm show on a Monday: Jurassic World!!!!it was not that busy.????
During covid there's a person in the from asking you about your past 2 weeks. And after that everything is sanitized and the ticket counter is all electronic.
This cinema was pretty amazing. It was my very first time and way better than the cinemas I am accustom to in the Caribbean. The food selection is also very good.
Clean and large number of movie halls
The auditoriums are comfortable but overall the complex needs an urgent renovation at seems to be pretty old. Other than that is a good experience to go there.
Cineplex please redesign your AVX seating, blockbuster movies are getting longer and you'll can't afford to keep squishing us together with narrower seats while paying more for the ticket. Your screen size and audio means nothing if we are uncomfortable for a majority of the movie.
Outstanding venue for movie theater. Excellent customer service (friendly and professional). Easy online tickets purchase. Highly recommended :)
Great movie experience and very respectful and helpful staff members, I made a mistake with a ticket I purchased with shang-chi this weekend and they helped me with my refund and tickets. I will be going to this theater from now on after a great experience
Liked the vibrating chairs, clean and well managed with COVID restrictions
Auditorium 4 is so bad. Seats arranged so close, was not comfortable. And the ads. Wow they really test patience. 15 mins into start time still playing ad. I paid for damn movie, why I have to watch them still. Better stay home, watch from other services.
Pretty good place in Square One, and this is my main movie theater. Here is my review on it. Viewing: If you sign up for a ticket for the regular viewing, there usually isn't a lot of people, and you can go the washroom, etc, without having to say "Excuse me!" every second. However, when I signed up for the IMAX version, it was crowded to the max. We arrived late for the movie Mission Impossible Fallout, and we basically had to nudge past 20 or so people. The IMAX version was too loud, and if it's meant to be immersive, it doesn't work very well. My ears still hurt after a day. However, viewing was significantly better than the original. Staff service: We got confused with the IMAX version of the movie, and the regular version, but a person working there pointed me in the right direction. He sold food, and he still knew where everything was. Kudos to him. Food: Food is pricey, and not really worth the money. I recommend bringing your own if you can, and if not, just watch the movie. Cleanliness: Pretty messy. Garbage is found on the floors under chairs in the movie areas, and around the Cinema itself. However, I have seen staff clean and do a decent job of it. Arcade machines: I dunno. Haven't tried it. Seems fun, and there's quite a lot of them too. Overall: Good place to go if you're near Square One, and wanna watch a movie. I do not think the IMAX version is worth it though, and signing up for the regular saves seats, time and hassle. Hope that you enjoyed this review and now know more about this place. Thanks for reading.
Trash cinema. Didnt have tickets to Spiderman no way home.
I've been coming to this theater for a long time now. It's really conveniently located right beside Square One. Friendly staff. Feels like a mini mall inside. Washrooms are only on the ground floor and half the movie theaters are upstairs. Keep your movie stubs.
By far my favorite movie theatre in Mississauga. It has also recently began including a small alcoholic menu for viewers over 18, which I think is a nice addition (though I've never tried it myself). Many cinemas (including D-Box and iMax) and a large selection of films is always available. As with any theatre, snacks are astronomically expensive.
Nothing like going to the movies to bring up fond memories. The layout has changed a bit since last I came. Easier to get your tickets online and walk in. Just my opinion.
The best time to go is around lunch time. It is usually quiet in the theatres which is nice. It has been great that recently they have added seat assignments when purchasing online so you do not have to wait in line an hour before your movie to get a good seat.
Its okay. The loby is clean and the workers are good but it doesnt have everything Cineplex offeres at other locations. It doesnt have a custom popcorn area but it does has frozen yorgurt you can custom yourself! And yes it still has an arcade. The theater rooms are 70% of the time well cleaned. It can get packed in here.
Really good cineplex. Ok service. I went a couple days ago to watch a movie and the theatre was almost empty. The frozen yogurt cart and place where you can get fries and poutine was closed. A good theatre overall, just very quiet.
Paid full price to be put in regular theatre and had a row of rude people talking. No ushers to speak with the rude party or ask them to leave
Love the experience, great place with lots of parking. Using the machines is easy and the seats are comfy. Great theater.
Decent movie theatre, get what you'd expect from a movie theatre. Overpriced drinks and popcorn, messy washrooms, ect.. The redeeming factors here are the amount of print your own ticket machines. Pre purchasing your tickets and skipping the line saves a good amount of hassle. In addition to this the theatre has a good amount of theatres so you have a range of showtimes and selections like IMAX.
The ambience is pretty satisfying. Just a tip, come a little early to get better seats for a good movie experience. If you come just before the movie starts, you won't get good seats.
Clean place good covid measures
Long lines, congested parking, plenty of belligerent teenage yobs, everything you want and expect from your local Cineplex. Tuesday's are just as busy as Friday and Saturday.
D box doesn't work well.
This Cinema is Horrible. Extremely unclean. I sat and watched the employees stand around doing absolutely nothing for an hour.
Meh, just okay. PROS -Good location, just by Square One and lots of parking -Theatres are good size and clean -IMAX is super cool -You can buy beer (of course, if you’re legal age) CONS -The halls look outdated and sad, bathrooms are not in a central location -Concession is terribly slow, be ready to wait at least 15min to get your overpriced snacks, it looks like they used to have concessions in the 2nd floor but they seem to be permanently shut down. -No self-serve drink fountains. In summary, just an okay theatre, I would give it only 2.5 stars if I could. It badly needs an overhaul. You’d expect to get a better movie experience from a flagship location and for the prices you pay. I go to these theatres frequently only because they’re the closest to me, but I am considering driving for a little bit longer to Cineplex Winston Churchill or to the ones in Etobicoke.
The setup is terrible. You need a ticket to be able to use the washroom, arcade, or get food/drinks. Theaters are decent.
Premises is clean and well maintained. Popcorn can be a bit stale sometimes but there's other eating options near by including a great popcorn place in the Mall. $8 movie nights (Tuesdays) are awesome.
Very close to home- always great showing opts- clean and organized. The only downfault is parking is tight.
Place barely has any staff. The IMAX theatre floors had garbage all over and the floors were ridiculously slippery. This theatre used to be much better managed. The management needs to take a good hard look at how they're running the establishment. Other than that, it's a typical cineplex with abnoxious prices at the concessions and annoying movie goers who want to have a discussion through out the movie. We don't have any other easily accessible options where it comes to theatre chains anyways. A lack of competition makes Cineplex corporate think that they can drop the ball. It's a natural phenomenon when you have a monopoly in a particular market.
Your typical big cinema. Has IMAX, IMAX 3D, and VIP options. Nothing out of the ordinary but at a convenient, central location.
Never knew my seat # had to match my ticket. For a first timer out of towner to the theatre, no one said anything. It was a horribly embarrassing experience when we got in early, got seated and had to move for late comers (as the movie was playing) because we were unknowingly in their seat. The website need to mention seat #s.
Trying to call and can't speak to a person.
Not my most favourite theatre. Always packed and seems chaotic. But the seats and screens are great. Better than most other theatres.
Good location near transit and shopping centre, various restaurants. Theatre seats not the best in GTA, Courtney park theatres better seating, you can lift the arm rests.
Facilities were old and dirty. The general atmosphere was okay. Cineplex keeps their seats up to date but they are very cramped.
Update - they now see the digital id. Could be cz of the reviews and people experiencing so many issues because of no proper info on their booking app or site. Old review - we all came from so far after booking tickets on the cineplax app and then they are like show your physical id for entrance. Even on the app it just says show your ID or print out. Really weird manager, she is opening detailed terms and conditions on site then to show us need to have physical ID. Wasted so much time arguing for nothing. It doesn't tell anywhere while booking tickets. Either improve your systems so everyone knows while booking a ticket online or just don't do business with this level of service. (I even have video proof of the app not showing anything in case you say its a lie) so many people had to go back just because of your mistake and negligence. Better to choose any other cineplex, never know when they gonna say bring something else.
Saw house of Gucci! So good! Wish there was a bathroom upstairs but that's okay. One of the stalls was out of tp so check first! Staff were friendly. COVID vaccination screening at the door!
Seats are not comfortable
Watched Dune on IMAX... What a show and fantastic theatre to watch it in.
Well organized and clean inside! Staff is kind and aren’t struggling to keep up! Enjoyed my first time out since covid started! Will be back for sure
Great place to watch movies with family and friends. They have 13 Auditorium according to me. Nice food and snacks to enjoy your showtime but the only thing i didn't like about the Auditorium was seating chairs, fixed like a glued. Don't have flexibility seating options which is a disappointment for watching your show.
Amazing viewing experience at Cineplex Mississauga. It's perfect location and amazing ambience makes it one of the best place to watch movies in Mississauga !! I would recommend everyone to try a show here.
No heat in theatre 3 last evening and carpets need a thorough cleaning in lobby area Some arm rests are missing ..Usually one of the escalators are non functional. Will prefer going elaewhere at this time even though living closeby.
Not as clean and big in comparison to other movie theaters. However this place does have many restaurants around the area and is the primary Square One movie house.
Nice theatre but over $5 for a small pop. We are talking about 2/3rds of a can of Pop. So sneak a drink in or wait until you leave. Food is insanely expensive as well.
Love to go watch my movies in here...but the Cinema needs to be more clean the floors sometimes are sticky with coke and some times the seats are dirty
Amazing food. Great ambience. Good service. Good music. Just don't play sad songs ????
Bring a pillow or better yet go somewhere else - the seats are the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced. Seats are really old and due for an upgrade, no excuse to offer seats with almost no foam when you pay $20 to watch a movie there. I usually go to the Cineplex on Queensway and no problems there, seats are really comfy.
Best place to go with friends to see the latest movies coming out. Personally have gone to see many marvel, Star Wars and action movies here. Can get fairly busy with movie releases but a great time to go is a week or two after a movie has been released and the hype dies down
Great place to watch movies with family and friends. They have 13 Auditorium according to me. Nice food and snacks to enjoy your showtime but the only thing i didn't like about the Auditorium was seating chairs, fixed like a glued. Don't have flexibility seating options which is a disappointment for watching your show.
Nothing spectacular about the theatre, the equipment feels a bit dated, and they would sale you stale popcorn topped with a layer of fresh ones.
Could you please repair your seats. Disaster but in dark no.one notice this. Please clean it make a hygenic theater. Thank you
Clean theaters. Good parking space. High quality IMAX screens. They definitely do a good job maintaining this branch.
The rows are extremely tight. The seats don't recline. Bathrooms are only on the first floor. One escalator going down with no additional options. Don't know what would happen if there was an emergency.
I live near square one so, this cineplex is close to me. I love thi place. Interior is very nice with usual decorations of movie posters and quotes. It reminds me of cineplex at yonge and dundas in toronto, where I used to live before. The ticket buying kiosks are at the left as you enter and there are around 7-8 of them so that's convenient. In the middle there is food court with general cineplex menu containing pop corn, hot dog, pulled pork poutine and drinks. There are lot of servers at food court so it never gets busy. I am not sure the exact number of screens inside but I think they are around 6. Screens are big with big auditorium with lots of chairs. Its a good cineplex worth watching every new movie here.
I hate the seats in this theatre. The seats don’t recline and aren’t very comfortable. While watching Halloween, there was a buzzing noise coming from the screen and it was especially annoying during silent scenes. Also nobody does anything to stop the loud mouth teenagers from talking in a theatre that is nearly full. I had to enter 4 different bathroom stalls in the women’s bathroom to find some toilet paper. Bathrooms are wet and dirty and soap dispensers and toilet paper dispensers are empty. Just drive the extra 8 mins to go to the Courtney park location.
The movie theatre a great place to hang out with family and friends. This theatre has some relatively short lines as most people buy tickets from the machines. They do have a place for cash at well. This theatre has a mini arcade in it. There are multiple food options for you to enjoy such pizza pizza. Now since this is a movie theatre the prices are a bit high for food. On movie openings nights you better be there early to line up because the lines can get pretty big.
Watched a Punjabi movie here. Really nice ambience. It was busy but we already bought the tickets online, so we didn't have to wait in line.
I've only been here once and placed in auditorium 4 for GOTG2. Auditorium was surprisingly small and on a shallow slope. Thankfully viewing the screen wasn't an issue and seats were comfortable.
It's a great movie theatre and I go with my friends here after going to square one. Never had a problem here and the auditoriums are the decent size.
Our movie theatre screen turned off for 10 minutes, caused a tone of ruckus in the theatre. However, we contacted customer service after this and revieved 2 complimentary tickets that could be used for VIP! So not bad :)
What a joke. Save your $. Not allowed to eat or drink. Theater is cold. Seats are uncomfortable, prices are higher and you have to wait I long line to scan your Vax passport.. better to stay home and watch Netflix or disney plus.
Good place to watch a movie, its decent sized and clean. The staff isnt always as happy as you would expect them to be. They made changes recently to the interior area and it looks great!
Variety of large and small theatres. The food can be considered expensive but thats not a surprise for a movie theatre. I enjoy the variety of snacks and meals. Recently they added a bar which I think really helps the movie going experience. Timeplay is also a quite enjoyable addition to any movie.
Went to see 8:10pm showing of Escape Room: Tournament of Champions. Overall the cinema and staff were courteous, friendly and welcoming. A scuffle between teenage cinema goers distracted us for a few moments, but security was called and the unruly crew disappeared soon after.
Quite a good place, staff is nice and friendly theatres unfortunately are quite unclean the floors are sticky and you can sometimes find popcorn bags and cups under the seats, other than that it is a good movie theatre
Great location, have all the current movies. The food and popcorn is great. Only if there is a lineup for a movie, the theater doesn't have the necessary space to hold everyone.
Had my first cider in a theatre here. Staff are friendly. Theatre is clean. Only downfall is that the chair doesn’t recline.
Have the pandemic I went to the movie is Mississauga across Square One. The whole protocol around COVID screening is amazing.
Snacks are gud but unfortunately,Seats are here not a clean may be they change so people will enjoy more here .
This place is a poorly cleaned. If I’m paying 60$ for a night out. I’d like the place I go to have some standards of cleanliness
I only gave one star because the movie was at least decent. As soon as I walked in...I was tempted to turn around. The floor was disgusting, upon entering. Covered with tickets...wrappers and popcorn. We were early so we attempted to get the frozen yogurt ice cream. The chocolate was empty..the vanilla - empty...the only one available was a maple syrup choice which just didnt go well with the toppings they offer. $20 for nothing. (Btw we sat at a sticky, dirty table when attempting to eat it). We ended up getting popcorn to get rid of the taste of the horrible frozen yogurt...aside from it costing an arm and a leg...u really cant go wrong with popcorn! It was edible. However, if you want to put butter on it..u have to walk around behind the counter where a butter pump station is. Right next to the garbage...in a poorly lit area. One pump didnt work...shocking..the other did..but the pump itself was sticky and left ur hand feeling dirty so you had no choice but to wash ur hands in their unkept washroom before even trying to eat it. But the most disappointing and disgusting part of the whole visit was the actual theatre. The chairs were stained. The armrests and back of the chairs in front were also sticky and dirty. I took a picture and hope it will let me post. Im home and feel itchy and can only hope its just all in my mind and I didnt actually contract something from the chair.
Excellent service, clean washrooms and beautiful ambiance makes Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga a great place to catch the latest flick.
Nice theatre with good screens. Food and tickets are a little overpriced but not any more than other theatres. Staff has always been great.
Random people without masks suddenly showed up sitting right in front and back of me 10 mins in Tenet. I left immediately. Obviously sneaked in from other auditorium. Half of the crowd inside the auditorium NOT wearing masks. Why bother paying $22 for a regular IMAX ticket? Absolutely no social distancing and hygiene regulations. I’m reporting this to the government! Update: just reported to the snitch line. My sole purpose is to support Nolan not Cineplex. I will never support this place again. Absolutely unprofessional. No movies again until vaccines.
Watched "The Meg", very good ambience and sound quality, seats are based on first come basis, no fixed seat numbers. Watched this movie in 3D. Experienced the real 3D after a long time.. good one, value for money..
Good sound with curved screen, had a great time watching movie.
This theater always seems to have the best movie times and is very conveniently located. Quite pricy, but overall a good theater
Can you believe that @cineplex Mississauga sold same ticket twice with same seat number. What an utter shame and embarrassment when you find out that you are the other person who has the second ticket of same seat and seat is already occupied. Pathetic experience.
One of my least favourite movie theaters to go to because it's probably the busiest in Mississauga. The seats in theatre 10 are not comfortable either. Snack line was slow too.
Should have more food choices for the kids ... The burger place had no beef burgers and it was too saucy and spicy but really great cinema nonetheless.
Overall good movie theater, it now remains the main theater in mississauga now that the cinema in square one has closed. The place is clean, but food and snacks are very expensive which is to be expected. They have changed the entrance, tickets are now mainly purchased from the electronic kiosks and there is only one service desk where you can actually purchase tickets using cash and from an actual person.
Seats are not that much comfortable for a long movie.
Only giving three stars because the cinplex in London has reclining seats so I was surprised to see normal seating here. Other than that it was a nice experience, clean, roomy. We had a good time.
Love the imax experience !
Not well maintained. Was VERY disappointed. Went with a more senior individual and the escalator to go up was broken. In the theatre many seats were broken, carpets were dirty throughout. I have never been to such a poorly maintained theatre. Drive a bit further and go elsewhere. The concession stand girl was however very pleasant and quick
I'm not a fan of the movie theatre experience since home theatre went HD. But we went to see a show in IMAX 3D and it was an overall positive experience. The 3D glasses were of a different quality than I was used to and they didn't give me eyestrain. They now serve beer and wine which was an added plus. I grabbed a pizza slice and drink that didn't break the bank, although the popcorn was still ridiculously priced (I know, its where they make the money) The big negative for me was the narrow seats in the IMAX. They seemed much smaller than the regular ones and its very uncomfortable. You pretty much have to spend a couple hours with your shoulders squeezed.
It's busy here most of the time and we had to line-up before going into our movie in Auditorium One. The location of that auditorium required us to line up outside the ticket checking gate so a lot of people who weren't there to see the movie in Auditorium One were really confused as to where to go because they saw a huge line. The staff didn't handle the situation very well either.
amazing location to watch your favorite movies, great customer service and very clean location.
It was good except the movie went off initially and then had to watch for 15 min all over again. Also 6.45 movie started at 7.04 and then it closed and reached the point where it stopped at 7.30 so 45 min were wasted
Excellent place with great theatres and interior designing. They have recently upgraded the theater to an UtraAVX IMAX 3D D-BOX Cinema. The place is so clean and the projector screen doesn't have even a single mark on them unlike I've seen in many other Cineplexes. Even the standard audi is also excellent. The only problem her I think is the layout, you can easily forget that from where did you came in which is annoying when you want to go out exactly from where you entered. The ticket counter is also a bit small but the staff is excellent and respectful. I literally loved that Cinema upon every other Cineplex around in GTA as now it is also UltraAVX which it wasn't before. So it's the number 1 in cinemas on my list.
It is a great place for friends, families and couples to have the experience of enjoying a movie together by sharing the experience of what they see, hear and feel.
Wonder time. Movie was just fantastic and staff were great.
Cineplex puts too many ads.. should start the movie on time in my opinion.
Convenient location, but the cinema is one of my least favourite. Always seems to be slow and unfriendly in addition to looking somewhat outdated. As a frequent movie goer, I always buy my tickets online and have them scanned from my phone, with absolutely no problems. At this cinema, however, they told me that they NEED the printed copy of the tickets. After having the tickets printed (wasting time) they scanned them, stamped the barcodes, and gave them right back to us (no different than using my phone). There was no reason for them to take a physical copy I only come to this one because of the location, but I am going to try my best to avoid it from now on - unecessarily tedious and dishonest.
Don’t come on weekends if you want to enjoy the movie night. Indian youth here will create a lot of disturbance and make you feel uncomfortable!!
One of the worst movie theaters I have been to. The place is crumbling dirty old .. carpet seems overrun and stinky. Chairs are uncomfortable and looks from the 1959s! This place is a sham and disgrace and not worthy of existence. Forgot to mention there is no assigned seating at this location. Cineplex need to rebuild this location with a brand new theatres.
Do not recommend the regular screen here. Thats the most economical option here but the audio is below average. You should choose the atmos enabled screens going ahead
at cinema 11. about 10 mins before the movie starts. a staff start yelling asking people to get out on our seat because they need to clean. lolx. staff excuse is they are only 4 staff working with rude attitude. like we are on our seat and ready to watch the movie we paid for. veey bad costumer service, the theater is dirty, staff is rude.. very rude..
The theaters are well maintained, and are cleaned up after every showing. The staff do a great job keeping the theatres clean for the public to use. The seats are pretty comfortable and can even lean slightly backwards with minimal force for the viewers comfort. I find this particularly useful for the people closer to the screen, so that they need not cramp their necks trying to see the screen. The sound system is quite good as well. However, if I'm being honest, it's a bit loud. They have installed digital ticket booths to shorten wait times, and you can do it all yourself. Moreover, they still have the traditional ticket booth with a cashier, so that you can choose whether to use the digital booth or the traditional one. The concessions are pretty good, and you can never go wrong with popcorn. I do quite like this place, it's convenient. You can head out to Square One right after your movie, and swing by the food court if you are in need of some food. It's only about a 5 minute walk maximum.
The IMAX seats are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are large and clean. I like that there's more than one bathroom. The lineups to get into the theatre when you have to wait at the bottom of the stairs is inefficient. There's also an abandoned concession stand on the upper floor that id like to see being used. Overall, a good theatre
I really enjoy this theatre and ive been to quite a few Cineplex Cinemas and I would say this one is my favourite. I must say though their food is quite overpriced.
Good theater. Has a lot of options for pre-selected seating and the food choices are good (overpriced as usual, but at least there's a choice between an overpriced burger, overpriced poutine, overpriced pizza rather than just overpriced popcorn).
Very uncomfortable seats but it was good to be back.
Well I have no idea what happened - but just as we got to our seats - they asked us to leave the theatre. A bit strange - but no-one told us what was going on - or whether to stay or go. No problem getting a refund online though (even for the popcorn we ate)
Amazing customer service and great space to take your friends or family out for a movie. Very convenient location, right beside a mall and various restaurants!
My home away from home. My only question is the price of the concession items. $5 for a small drink is WAY overpriced. Nevermind the popcorn. Otherwise in the GTA , Cineplex Mississauga has one of the best IMAX theatres. DBOX is pretty cool too.
I have yet to see a bad Cineplex, always clean and nice. Definitely buy ticket online in advance, it is very crowded
This location does have decent number of screens along with IMAX, however, not the cleanest and/or tidy Cineplex locations I have been to. The seat I sat on (in theater #7) had its foam worn off and it felt as if I was sitting on a wooden back seat which was not comfortable. I couldn't change my seat as it was pre-assigned.
This movie theater really need to check their food service, is very expensive for the horrible quality of food they give, we went for a movies and order a combo of nachos and hot dog, we put it in trash, was old and the manager refuse to change it. very bad experience. The sits are uncomfortable, the screen is ok but i think they can improve
Decent Cineplex. Maybe not the cleanest, most comfortable theatre I've been to, but it's in a good location.
The sound system is alright but the seats in the AVX really need to be replaced. They don't feel comfortable enough.
Great location. Some of the seats however are pushed outwards from the neck so it's not really comfortable when you sit down to lounge.... Like seriously what's up with that!?
I haven't been to the movies in several years (kids, life, you know), wow, so improved! Great experience!
The design of this theatre is both inefficient for customers and unpleasant in terms of accessability. The staff are okay, but the automatic ticket machines have some difficulties in terms of simplicity.
Large movie theatre with lots of staff. Came in the afternoon and saw three staff standing around while one manned the counter. It took twenty minutes from getting into the theater to get my ticket. Popcorn was cold and stale despite charging me $28 for it, a small pack of candy and what amounted to a can of pop. Theaters were clean and tidy; the movie experience part was OK.
Very good cinema we enjoyed alot well organised everything neat and clean we loved it
Very good cinema we enjoyed alot well organised everything neat and clean we loved it
With covid happening it's nice to see great to see good service and friendly staff holding it down!
The staff at this location is great, they are friendly, kind, humorous, and genuinely give off such a great vibe. They're passionate and provide great customer service. In piticular, Keith and Matthew provided excellent service this evening and truly deserve praise! I will return to this location just for them!
Usually I only have good things to say about this location. Ling story short. I finally got a chance to go watch a movie with my two brothers. Deadpool 10:25 pm 02/13/16 the management should know. I was very disappointed and frustrated when the movie started the lights did not shut off. Very annoying and took away from the experience that Imax provides. I didn't say anything as I was with my brothers. They turn off the lights a little after half the movie. I see one of the staff finally pop there head in and realize that the lights were on. After the movie was done we all walked over each other because they forgot to turn on the lights now. Must be something wrong but I haven't watched a movie in months and I was super excited that's why I'm super disappointed. I looked for the customer service person and no one was there. I wanted a refund but my brothers were shy to ask. Oh well I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I will still come to this location because I still like it. I guess I expected too much. I hope a manager would get back to me to let me kmow what went wrong that night.
Went at mid day on a Sunday, not many people at all which was nice. The sound in the cinema is LOUD. I’m sure it’s louder than other cinemas, and I was sitting centre centre where it should be optimum.
Friendly staff, ample parking, comfortable seating, clean environment. Always love watching movies here!
Theater atmosphere blew me away with it's Suze and presentation but my experience was dwindled due to people talking loud and flashing phones during the movie.
It's a decent theatre. Two levels. Escalator to go up was out of commission. We had the AVX theatre which was for a 3D movie, but glasses were no where near the auditorium, was like a scavenger hunt to find them. Staff was limited upstairs and lukewarm to help. I would not recommend this theater if you are going with children and have a movie on the upper level, as the bathrooms are all in the downstairs level. So are the concessions.
Really great theatre to be at. Have an arcade zone for kids to play while waiting for their movie to start. They also have a mini Starbucks, Pizza Pizza just incase you have no mood to eat popcorn. Went for an afternoon show to avoid the rush, and found it to be pretty empty.
Great place! Movies are so expensive, but good for once in a while. Outrageous prices for concessions, but that's how they keep In business
Its a typical Multiplex. Seats and Screens are good. It plays most of the movies from Hollywood and Bollywood. So lots of choices Parking can be issue over a weekend and during screening of an event movie. Popcorns and other eateries can be reasonably charged. They seem expensive
Ahhh. When stress is getting the best of you this is the place to unwind. Aside from the scene points that can get you inside to watch your fave movie this cinema is family friendly
The most convenient to get to theater and always have early night movies which is always a huge plus for me. Staff is good, nobody has been rude to me and the managers have been understanding if issues have come up so I appreciate that. Also has a bar now so that's excellent!
Very easy to navigate theater. The IMAX experience at this theatre is really good. The speakers are loud and send enough bass through the air to feel the impact of blasts and loud thrusts. Seats are comfortable and the air inside the theater is good. Ticket booking experience is straightforward like any other theater. Plenty of parking available. Overall a good experience.
It’s a movie theatre. It’s well taken care of but needs to be upgraded. The theatres are older and don’t have as many amenities as others.
The auditoriums are very small. The whole place looks really old and I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned that a renovation is needed. Staff are friendly. Once I had to refund my ticket, customer service took care of that for me hassle-free.
Cineplex is a good place for family outing. Took my 6 year old for Ghostbusters and he liked it. They need to upgrade the arcade if they want to attract more youthful crowd.
The aura is amazing and it’s always crowded I wish they had a separate machine for people who can use their credit cards to buy tickets faster and for SCENE members
The cinemas are very clean and having very friendly staff and enviroment. It slso have gaming section for kids which is aldo a good point.
Have had many pleasant memories in this movie theater. Location is very convenient, always showing latest movies, with some instances of re-screening classics. Facility has become a bit outdated and old. Needs to be upgraded and the screens probably could use an upgrade in terms of size. Chairs definitely need an overhaul from all the years of wear and tear.
The theatre is good but needs some upgrades, specially the seats. I love the staff as most of the times, the staff is really caring. The sound system is also great.
I Have been to this place many times, have no complains about any thing, service is great, auditorium is clean, washrooms are well managed. I watched couple of 3D movies here. I always got nice , clean pair of 3D glasses. It's has decent amount of parkings place also it's free. City Centre bus terminal is right across the road which is great.
The layout is smaller and more intimate than most Cineplex movie theaters and that only speaks in its favor. The price of the food is extreme, so if you have the option to each somewhere else - please do. The staff are always approachable and nice.
The previews were a bit loud for a kids showing - however it seemed to feel right during the main feature. The booster seats are handy, although they needed a bit of a wash-down before sitting on them. Kids were very happy to watch Paw Patrol on the big screen. Saturday morning is a nice time to show kids movies. Not too many people at the theatre so it's fairly relaxed coming in, washrooms aren't crowded, lines aren't long. Overall I liked it. Popcorn and drinks are still ridiculously expensive!
Overall the location is great, the way the place is arranged (theatres) is really good. The negative: washrooms. Located on the lower level, where the food is, not on the upper and lower level, which would make more sense. The food. Typical movie theatre fair. Overpriced and crappy. The people that work there are nice.
WORST theatre experience ever. Went to watch the Joker a few hours ago and I ordered a poutine. The staff were super friendly and kind, they were great. However, I ordered a poutine and immediately regretted it. I didn’t even get to finish the movie, the second I ate the poutine (which was my first meal of the day) I practically ran to the washroom and had severe diarrhea and cramps and it lasted for half an hour! Overall, it was a terrible experience and for all the money I paid, I didn’t even get to finish the movie or have an enjoyable meal. Please up the hygiene here as I hope no one else has to go through what I did.
This is one of my go-to movie theatres cause it is nearby. I would recommend ordering tickets in advance or showing up early enough to purchase tickets especially for new movies.
This place is run down they haven't changed the carpet since it open in the mid 90s I'm surprised they haven't renovated. Prices should be cheaper here.
Spent my time watching movie sufna. Seats are not comfortable to sit continuously to watch movie. But still overall it's fine to go and enjoy your time.
Favorite non VIP theater in the area. Regular customer; they are quick, clean, and the food/service is great. In 8 years I have only ever had one movie with technical issues and we were given a free movie on our next visit! Only thing... and its a reality of the Cineplex monopoly... not a fan that they got rid of the bottomless drinks when they bought AMC!
Okay customer service. I don't know if it was as the time I went but I saw "Frozen II" in IMAX and wasn't handed 3D glasses. Wasn't the worst thing but it did inhibit some things visually. Otherwise okay experience. A theatre is a theatre and ultimately patrons are there just to see a movie.
Lovely. We had a lovely time out there. Only drawback was the fact that there were no toppings/seasonings for the popcorn.
As I'm from the US, this was the first place I had trouble using both my debit and credit card at. However it worked after like 10 tried and other than that it was a very nice theater. Great screen, sounds, etc.
This is the same theatre I've been going to since I was a kid. It's gotten many renovations over the years, but it's always a good time. Because it's in a busy area, I recommend going at least 30/40 minutes before each movie starts and giving even more time for a more popular/ newer movie to get your choice of seats.
Very clean and big. Useful and nice staff as well. Anytime I want to watch movie I come here
Been coming here a long time. It has gotten more crowded over the years. This place needs to expand and put more theatres
Staff is bit rude Other than that great screens and speakers combined best possible theater experience
Great staff. Go bus stop right in front of the theatre eased my commute. Clean theatres and washrooms.
Worst service at the front desk. They aren’t co operative at all????????????????
This theatre is pretty nice! I didn't notice if they have VIP seating there, but their regular theatres are large and offer a fair amount of elbow room. The IMAX seating is a little bit more cramped horizontally, but it makes up for it by being equipped for Dolby Atmos audio. It's a large building which automatically makes it better than some other Cineplex locations, however I am still a Landmark Cinemas guy.
My most favorite Theatre to go, it has great service and really nice people serving your hungry or snackish need along with a nice theatre experience
This theatre is incredibly out-dated. They really need to try more at this location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Clean theatre with comfortable seating though needs to up it's game to entice customers to leave their homes.
Compared to your average theater, this one is pretty great. I've gone at least 30 times in the past 8 years and have had no major complaints.
I attended once upon a time in Hollywood there but the cinema theater is clean well air conditioned.
Nice and clean theatres. Helpful staff, I had a ticket issue and the manager helped me out herself.
Food is standard. The auditorium 11 that I'm in for 3D - The Lion King at 4PM July 21 2019 not very pleasantly smells. I smelled mold. (Probably from cleaning water). Hopefully get a better experience next time at this theatre.
Theater is awesome to watch movies. Not a fan of the 3d and 3d IMAX. I only go there for IMAX I think that’s the best option there in my opinion. Just don’t play the arcade games there cuz 70% of their games don't work. Also I don’t like the food there like the sandwiches and stuff. They always give it to me a little warm or cold it doesn’t feel fresh. At least put the sandwiches in a toaster you know.
Of all the theatres in Mississauga - this is the best. Love UltraAVX and IMAX. The ability to select seats online for those two venues is great. The food choices are decent but pricy. Close to external food items and the Square One shopping mall makes this a logical choice.
Easy to navigate, fast services at food counter, spacious parking ... but the seats in theatre are not so comfortable!!
Great setup, value for money. At the time of show the entrance and exit was kinda confusing as the people were trying to enter from both the sides. Other than that the ambiance was great. Do try coming early to get the right parking spot unless you do not mind walking.
Wish the seats were more comfortable!
Nice movie theater in Mississauga. Plenty of parking space. Great variety of movies. Friendly staff. Concession products are overpriced however.
The location of this complex is perfect, but it gives a very old vibe. Also, it was not that clean too. There was popcorn on the carpet everywhere as no one was cleaning it after any show.
Love the 3D and dbox sound is good. Only thing needs improved is the speed of getting tickets. ..very slow seems to take an extremely long time per person so if there is a line you just get frustrated. Put more people on tickets or speed it up !
The South was super friendly, and made sure that people followed the covid protocols. The concessions was a bit slow, but the spacing in the theater was ample.
I have a health condition that requires me to take medication that causes your mouth to dry out too the point it gets hard to speak at times. Beverages were not allowed at all in the theatres and the concessions were closed!. I finally asked an employee that was kind enough to take me to a manager that graciously allowed me to take in a small amount of water to wet my whistle when necessary. I felt like a kid in school asking to get a drink or go to the bathroom! I get the restrictions because not all of us apparently know what self isolating means and/or social distancing!! Knowingly Infected people are still going into emergency rooms that are already severely understaffed, (due to staff now being infected) and over crowded putting everyone at risk. Some 2 and 3 times when there is nothing that can be done at that time. Ultimately It's a virus like many other cold and flu viruses that all fall under the coronavirus umbrella. Please stay home if you're symptomatic until you recover unless it gets serious. Stay home, hydrate, and get lots of rest and see your family Dr. if needed. Nevertheless, we loved the movie along with may be 30 other people who were all checked for full vaccination at the door before entering. We all need to be diligent with our P.P.E. and social distancing until this simmers down. Hang in there everyone, we should see brighter days hopefully in the next 4 to 6 weeks and please follow Health Ontario's recommendations and restrictions. Stay safe, don't panic, be diligent and let's look forward to a better year... this time! Fingers crossed! Cheers???? ????
Yes I enjoy going there a lot it is full of life ,the movies are for all taste ,musical, drama, kids, etc.so you can choose to what ever you and your company enjoy.
Top class theatre great food good experiences. Very reliable and scene points are awesome
We went to see Luke Skywalker at the Cineplex on Rathbun by Square One. The movie quality was great, the sound system was great and the seats were comfortable. We chose the DBox seats. The staff for the most part provided the service the needed, but not with any enthusiasm or friendliness. They were there to do their job and no more. My only suggestion to Cineplex would be to lower the prices on the food and drinks. We pay enough to see the movie, price the drinks and snacks to entice people to spend more. ????
In terms of what it features? Fantastic. But when it comes to seeing a movie, the IMAX theatre always seems to have technical difficulties. Either the ads don't play at all or you just get audio without the sound. It's bad enough that you're paying the price of a Blu Ray movie, which always increases annually due to "inflation". But the consistent technical issues are making this thestre a joke. You're better off going to some small town Cineplex theatre or an independent one. In my experience this has only happened during movies that bomb at the box office or not too many people in seats. But just imagine this happening during 1st screenings of Avengers or Star Wars movies. Anyway, the hard-working staff rectified this with a free ticket and a chance to refund your movie but also keeping the free ticket. Not bad.
Had a positive experience overall But I find the food options very limited..
Nice cinema also with IMAX viewing. I was disappointed in the popcorn options - very limited. No sweet and salty, arghhhh. Lots available though from mini arcade to a photo booth, food, yogurt, drinks.
During the pandemic we should all do our part to prevent the spread of Covid. I usually enjoy going to the movies, and I realize that it’s been a difficult time for all but when the theatres are required to have 50% capacity, why would they fill up all the seats in the middle and the back of the theatres and leave the front seats empty. There was absolutely no way to social distance.
The theatre itself is nice, everything was smooth. The staff however, make you never want to attend this place. At least 50% of them don't like their job and they are constantly rude and give attitude. When we were showing our covid passports, this one old blond lady was spitting in our faces and creating a negative atmosphere in the building. Customer service should be friendly and positive. In the theatre, my friend's mask barely slipped off his nose and he got shouted at from across the theatre, not only disturbing us during the movie but everyone else in the theatre as well. Hire new staff and when interviewing them, make sure they have a positive and caring vibe.
Spider-Man No Way Home ! The best movie I have ever watched !
Very rude staff and manager! I'll never come back here!!!
Food & drinks was not allowed today inside the movie theatre, we had to eat our popcorn outside in the cold weather before entering the movie.
The screens inside are large and pretty nice. The sound quality is simply awesome. I had a great experience.
One of the most comfortable movie house I have been. There's no dull moment for they have games, plus the food is good. I will surely come back.
Good place for movies, they disinfect Charis and other areas between the movies. They make sure you are wearing the mask at all times. They are not serving any food/snacks and don't allow outside food/snacks and if they catch you removing your mask or eating then they kick you out of the cinema. Staff is making sure you are safe. Also please make sure to take your vaccination certificate and an id.
We saw invincible man. Very interesting and thrilling movie.
I redeemed my Scene points to see The Avengers Infinity War blockbuster movie today with my daughter. This is a great movie theatre and staff are always helpful. Going to the movies is expensive so look at this as an escape from life.
Theatres and seating are good, concession prices waaaay too expensive, small drink and popcorn $14 ????
Booked DBox but the seats are not working and had to switch. Also the seat effects are not good as compare to the price. 5 stars for the place.
Seats for regular screens don't have headrest. Viewing angle is also bad for not only front seats but even for middle tier.
Pretty much a old-fashion style theatre, which means everything is old. Pro: great #9 theatre that have Ultra-AVX with Dolby ATMOS and D-box active seats. (Dolby ATMOS technology allows up to 128 audio tracks plus associated spatial audio description metadata (most notably, location or pan automation data) to be distributed to theaters for optimal, dynamic rendering to loudspeakers based on the theater capabilities.) Con: the video game machines are all old enough to send to a museum. Most of them are not functioning and the token machine provides less tokens as described. The good thing is, all the staff here are super friendly. All in all, Who doesn’t like movies? And who doesn’t like Cineplex? :)
First time back in years. Very clean and lots of food choices (although not much for those of us doing Keto). Missed the movie paraphernalia that used to hang from the ceilings.
Seems like a ghost town . I went on a Tuesday and all the movies were terrible. There doesn't seem to be many good attractions or a variety . I cant believe that ithe place was so empty especially on a Tuesday. The people that work there seem so unenthused and drag their feet . I waited for over 5 min to get my movie snacks and watched three people walk in circles while one talked about going for a break... that he didnt end up going on .
My go to spot for movie dates with the Mrs . Purchasing your tickets via the app makes you life a whole lot easier. Make sure you arrive 10 mins before the movie if you want to grab some snacks
✅
Ultra AVX - just a waste of money. The music effect is like a regular theatre screen. Better to watch in home theatre system.
Really disappointed with the management . I am visiting from abroad with my family with a disabled child. I asked for a carers ticket but I was informed by the manager that I require an access card , I explained to her that I don't live here and where I live we show documentation . She refused with no empathy offered. Need to train management.
My friends and I went Sunday night (Dec 5) to watch a movie. We spent more than more than 20 minutes in the line just to get a small popcorn. In the theatre, two in front of us were literally making out which is disgusting. And above all of that, a staff, Idk if she’s the manger (she was blond and wearing green) didn’t let us use the washroom and kicked us out for no clear reason! she was so rude, she has zero respect. Really bad experience. Please tell your staff to be respectful. Please add more workers to speed up the line. Please tell you’re customers that Cineplex is a place to watch a movie and not to make out. Thank you.
Any movie, any place, any time. With the new cineplex app and scene points, you can rack up so much just from food and viewing movies on the regular that you end up getting a free movie. Huge screens in this location, and honestly the best sound. Its as if every theatre has AVX sound and projector set up. Literally high quality.
I caught up stomach flue after the show. I ordered the poutine with bacon but instead they gave me hotdog because they were out of bacon and apologized many times. After the show I thought I had a headache and when I came home I went straight to my bed cause I wasn't feeling well. I woke up and all day I had problem with my stomach.... It's my second day after the show and my stomach still hurts. Don't buy any junk food there!!
Good place to watch movies. Just reserve your seat as the theatre is busy. I'm surprised they don't have social distancing when watching a movie especially with cases going up
Great get away place. Needs more employees. Washroom was terrible no supplies in it. It was disgusting. Every garbage cans all over the theatre was full of garbage. I understand that it's a busy place but it feels like 3rd world country.
I want to start by saying the people that work at this location are polite and do a good job. The reason I won't be returning to this location is because the seats are very uncomfortable, not sure if it's because it wasn't Imax but everytime I leave this theater my back hurts. Maybe it's just me but I go to alot of different theaters and the seats are different and feel different.
Have always had a good experience at this location. Good size theaters, good sound. Staff are pretty good.
Nice place with good ambience.. Good food stalls to eat munchies for a movie.. Theatres are clean with good employees.. Movies with general admission are a pain.. Especially if there is a rush like most good Indian movies have.. Seating can be a pain in such theatres.. Lines for in demand and general admission movies are long and start sometimes 30 mins before showtime.. So plan ahead if you want good seats else be ready for a close encounter with the screen..
I liked the fact that no food us being sold, BUT why us there no social distancing at all. People sitting exactly beside each other. I really don't think I'll be going back This virus is no joke guys. Fix it
Mindblowing Cinema Experience Whether you Watch 3D or not but Its worth watching movie here
This is usually my first choice for a movie theatre. Had trouble finding parking, as where I usually park, half of the lot was where they dumped the snow and it was a Saturday night. I did find a spot in the end.
My only issue with this place is the outtakes food, service is extremely slow both with getting the order and preparing it. Portions have been small and undercooked and I've experienced these issues both during rush times and dead times. I've even been told to order something else just because they dont want to make it. Extremely dissatisfied and I won't be ordering real food here again, just stick to the popcorn.
We went to go see TENET during the coronavirus pandemic and had a good experience. The seats were reservation only and had good spacing in-between them. They still serve snacks/popcorn and you can take your mask off while seated to eat. The IMAX experience was great, although the movie was quite loud at times so it was hard to understand the dialogue. From what I understand this isn't entirely the theatre's fault though, as the movie had poor sound mixing.
I remember this place opening 20 years ago, would be nice if they renovated or ya know, maybe updated the carpets. They look their age.
Excellent place to watch movies
Neat and clean lobby, very friendly staff.
Would give 5 stars but the cinema is often not clean and there is always some drink that has been spilled on the floor. Cineplex you guys need to hire some more janitorial staff, because when the ground is sticky (and your shoes are stuck to the ground) it kind of wrecks the whole experience of watching an awesome movie in IMAX.
Never go there if the movie is in screen 3. The seats are worst and most uncomfortable. No headrest. Seats are too small to even rest your whole back. For tall people its halfway to your back. How can one enjoy a movie without comfort? Not even that, some seats have lost shape and seating part is squeezed. Please avoid if you can.
Disappointed by their Covid safety policies. Their service kiosks for snacks and beverages is right at the entrance to the theater. When movie goers are entering, they are thus running into those in line at the kiosks. This is a bottleneck and causing social distancing to be impossible, with groups crowded together. The cash registers are also side by side so customers in each line cannot distance. I would expect better arrangements of pedestrian traffic to support in maintaining 6ft by a company like Cineplex.
I have been to this location couple of times, I like it because it’s cineplex but each time there were something wrong... I rated it 4 stars just because I couldn’t get a chance to speak with the manager, but next time when I visit, I’ll definitely speak to the manager if i encounter any issue...
Seriously worst seats ever they are just DESTROYED!!! So it's super painful for your arm you just feel the plastic!!! Do something please and same for the iMax rooms!!!
The arcade is horrible. None of the games worked but it still took my tokens. The actual theater is ok.
Wonderful cine experience at Cineplex Cinemas. My kids and family loved their comfy seats.
I live right across this cinema but I've never really liked it. Today I decided to give it another shot. It is very old and dirty. I was just watching a movie and I waited in line to get popcorn for 23 minutes, I was late for the movie, and then when I entered the theatre, it smelled like mold. The seats were discusting and dirty. The volume was so low, that we could barely hear anything. I rather drive to Winston Churchill then come back here.
I've come to this location a couple of times now for a girls night and I've always had a good experience. The theatre itself is a little small but still very clean. I've never had a difficulty finding parking at this location either. This theatre also has a lot of auto purchase kiosks. They have 2 concessions stands, one for regular popcorn and nachos, and the other for meal type items like hotdogs, pizza, fires and poutines. Pro Tip: It's always a good idea to buy your tickets online ahead of time to avoid disappointment, if you have a SCENE card, you actually earn even more points if you buy your tickets on your phone!
Me and my friends went to watch captain underpants the theather itself was very nice, the area with food was.nice, the look of this place reminded me of Scarborough town centre but a bit smaller still nice tho
Giving it a 2-star simply because the brightness of the movies are too low. I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but I just watched Lion King in IMAX 3D, and the brightness was incredibly low and on top of that wearing 3D glasses. I have been going to this cineplex for a long time now and i watch a lot of movies, and the brightness have been low for other movies as well. Brightness is something so basic and important that you would think this wouldn't be an issue at all, but after googling, i read that this is one of the biggest complaints for movie-goers and that it is common for theatres to dim the brightness to prevent the bulb dying out faster, only to save money. Also, it could be lazy projectionist that don't switch the settings for 2D/3D movies which causes the dimmer brightness. This is seriously a problem because you would think spending 21 dollars on IMAX tickets you'll get your money's worth and at least get the best picture where something as basic as brightness wouldn't be an issue. So i hope they fix this issue.
Great Cineplex! Seems to be less busy than the Winston Churchill one during peak times. Lot of parking. Not as many cinemas as the Winston Churchill and QEW one.
Really bad experience. The silver screen was having issue it was showing blueish light as the film was running making the visuals dull and unclear. Theatre number 1 and show was at 9:00 pm of movie Chal mera putt 2
Located in square one area and well maintained. Many screens so more choice of movies to choose. IMAX and AVX are the best experiences.
Great theater. Staff is always accommodating, and management always addresses concerns quickly and professionally. Only gripe is about the chairs in Ultra AVX seating. Terribly uncomfortable; got a terrible headache after the film. Why do they force you to lean forward?! Avoid Ultra AVX at all costs. Shell out the extra $ for IMAX if you can.
Clean. Friendly staff. Large theatres. Minus one star for small seats. Broken backs on most of the seats make seating a balancing act.
My favorite theater in peel region. I live in Brampton and would prefer to travel on the bus here to watch a movie rather then going to silver city Brampton by trinity common. A nicer crowd of people usually go to this theater and I just like that if I had to wait a while before my movie starts I can go walk around square one to kill time instead of just standing around the theater.
The theatre closest to everyone living in Mississauga since it's located at City Center which makes it ideal for movie nights with a group. Although you may want to consider going elsewhere for food as snacks available there are limited in variety and don't come cheap. Restaurants with the likes of Montana's are surrounding the area but a Bubble Tea Republic is a few minutes drive away if you opt for something more plain and simple.
Seat should be more comfortable which is not. Screens are good.
Ample parking, clean washrooms, excellent service and standard food. True Russians eat the Popcorn ! I do not normally rate theaters but we had a small audio issue in our movie experience and David H at their customer service desk was understand and helpful giving us passes for our next visit. The food selection and quality is a good as can be expected for a theater as there is no VIP option. They do however deliver everything I expect of them with great service on top which merits the 5 stars.
Central location in Sq1 hub. Due for an upgrade. Washrooms are clean, employees are friendly and helpful. Still love the IMAX. Was there today to see StarWars9. Theatre was clean and the crowd was a respectful viewing audience. Went for a matinee. Lots of parking, as the Sportchek & Chapters moved across the street to Sq1 Shopping Centre.
The pros: one can easily learn...which in all fairness I must accredit as OUTWEIGHING the following. As for the cons... One employee was edgy. There were a couple pieces of recyclables laying on either side of my seat in the auditorium. There was a beverage spill sitting in the middle of the main floor for at least a few minutes before tended to by an employee, which God knows could've been a while. Most importantly, I very well tried out the D-Box, however to only find it merely vibrated subtly, just over bordering noticeable, albeit in all fairness that wasn't what my ticket was assigned. Plus, worth mentioning is that the prices of all types of offers are a bit miserly, asking for too much - expensive, expedient, pricey, overpriced, and perhaps even ludicrous❗ As if cinema is predominantly for splurgers and/or rich folk!!
Great place to watch movies. IMAX is a great experience. P.s. now they serve alcohol now for those who partake
My first time going to this location The young lady at the ticket counter was less than courteous and the staff in general weren't very pleasant. The movie was great though
The seats are not cleaned , drink holder had chewing gums and down in the seats there are flood of juice ! Very poor cleaning service specially in covid situations! First time ever in cineplex cinemas I had a very bad experience…
Kind and helpful staff
Been to this theatre alot, back when it was Famous Players. Always clean and comfortable seats. This time however the theatre we were in had the rows way to close together, felt squashed.
Good all round. No complaints
I’ve watched many movies at this place but I guess before visiting Cineplex Mississauga I didn’t tried any other Cineplexes around the GTA. Parking is good.. no doubt but the theatre is horrible. Recently we thought to see a movie and my mom is here and she wanted to see it. There were only three Cineplexes which were showing the movie so we thought to visit Mississauga and relive the old memories. Turns out we got Auditorium 1 and the seats are really horrible. We didn’t felt like we are in Canada!
Went here two days ago to watch Toy Story 4. 5 minutes into the movie, the power went out in the projection room, and nobody from Cineplex noticed until another 5 minutes later, when patrons in our theatre left and told them. 15 minutes later, we were back on. No compensation or anything (but at least they restarted the movie from the beginning). The theatre is okay, but the padding on the seats is worn out and that makes them a little uncomfortable. The men's washroom is nasty; stall doors don't close, taps don't work, no soap anywhere. Some of the ticket purchase kiosks are broken. The film selection is limited to mostly recent blockbusters/crowd pleasers, so don't go expecting something out of the way, like documentaries or indie movies. Location is convenient though.
By far one of the worst Cineplex locations in desperate need of an update. I live across the street and we drive to the Oakville VIP. The seats are horrible the bathrooms are always dirty, overall the facility offers a very poor experience.
Great get away place. Needs more employees. Washroom was terrible no supplies in it. It was disgusting. Every garbage cans all over the theatre was full of garbage. I understand that it's a busy place but it feels like 3rd world country.
Good theater experience, although I would recommend the management to have the seat deep cleaned as there are all sorts of food stains and grime on almost all seats.
Personally, I've watched few movies at Cineplex cinema and my experience at Cineplex was amazing! Comfortable seating and loud enough to hear clear audio and make the environment extremely enjoyable. If you want a discounted movie ticket price, always go on Tuesdays. More fun for less price. Overall, I love going to Cineplex whenever I have time.
Nice multiple screens and efficient customers service
Great theatre. Always a good experience. We've been coming here for years.
I think the layout of this particular Cineplex movie theatre is pretty bad. The auditoriums are too small. The place could also use some renovations, the seats are stained, ripped and worn out. The staff were friendly but not performing their job duties. My boyfriend and I sat through a whole movie with the entry door wide open and only towards the end (during the last 10 minutes of the movie) an employee finally decided to check up and closed the door. Honestly, the only reason I go to this theatre is because it is walking distance from where I live.
The seats are not very clean & you can feel a bit cramped if you're a bit tall.
The Small kiosks on the right side after entrance are really helpful; A Kiosk let you choose from the movies available, accepts your scenecard for discounts, allows you to order meals! and lastly it accepts Apple Pay, Tap & Pay Apps (UGO App, TD App and RBC App .....)
Experience was not so good Watched movie in UltraAVX. Seats were not comfortable.
Its a decent place to catch a movie, but it can use a little more maintenance. Not as clean as some of the other cineplexes that I have visited, and the snacks are beyond overpriced. Some staffs are very helpful, polite and kind, but some others are rude.
Attended Sat Aug2. The theatre maintenance has been neglected . Half the ticket machines were out of order , the up escalator was out of order , the main area had not been vacuumed (popcorn bits all over) for some time. I felt I was in a third world theatre. Thankfully bathrooms were clean. But overallt is not kept to a standard worthy of dowmtowm Mississauga .
We like going here as it's close to our house but I expected IMAX to have huge seats but it's regular seating. Anyways kids love popcorn and movie so it's fun...
IMAX was crystal clear but the have the sound far too loud to enjoy the movie. Trailers were extra loud for some reason.
Worst screen quality. Everything was blue, no picture quality at all. I don’t known if this is common but I never saw this blue overlay before. What’s the point if we can’t see colours properly.
Cineplex, as a long standing cinema giant in the area, has hosted movie dates and excursions for decades. This location is quite populated on any given day/night (especially Tuesday), but the novelty of the experience is wearing down. It's more affordable and comfortable to watch certain movies at home.
Though I found the place kind of claustrophobic when you enter, but I would give it 4 stars as it is clean and the seats are comfortable.
Good Cineplex as the turn around and customer footfall is very high. Haven't tried food inside so can't comment. Toilets are hygienic, neat and clean. Make sure you turn up early before your schedule Showtime to get the seats of your choice otherwise you may end up sitting in a front row which is not a deemed scenario for anyone.
Good experience in Imax big screen
I don't like how this Cineplex is designed. It seems really hard to find your theater due to its layout. Whenever I go, I find myself walking in circles trying to find where my movie is. However, the wait times are really short for food which is a big plus.
great customer service and very clean location
Decent Ciniplex. Nothing special or out of the ordinary. Movie offerings are updated often and are fairly good. Cleanliness is to be expected and the food quality is what you’d expect of a movie theatre.
Cineplex is always fun, Mississauga one is very close by but I like Courtney Park and Winston Churchill for better energy and feel.
Theater entrances are on the top floor, bathrooms are on the ground floor, horrible layout. Architect was on glue.Food is overpriced, teenage staff is untrained and uninterested. Ah well.
Rude staff they have different and their own rule
Be carefull at the cola vending machine, they tried to rip me 10$ on credit card as the price was 4.50. After complaining the box office manager (Sara) first tried to get rid away by giving coco cola co. contact. Vending machine being on cineplex property they should take full responsibility of over charging. After discussing she returned 5$ cash back arrogantly and not accepting as it was just not her cause.
Service was good, quick lines, good staff. The theatres definitely could have been cleaned up a bit better though.. overall good experience :)
I love it security was very friendly, checking for vaccine and a lot of questions about before going in said, everything was very clean , me and my daughter was enjoying watching the movies ????????????????
Been going here since I was a kid. Friendly staff and close to square one ???? convenient if you want to chill with friends
Cineplex needs to investigate the manager of this location. Her conduct is very unprofessional, and has been on several locations. This has been my regular spot to see movies (at least twice a month) since it opened in the 90’s. the current manager is so awful that I refuse to see movies here any longer. She is the sole reason for the lose of a long-time customer. My family and friends feel the same way. An example of her unprofessional conduct: We went to see the premiere of a very popular super hero movie. We bought tickets weeks ahead and looked forward to the viewing. An hour into the film the MANAGER of the location shuffled her way into our row through the seats and started having a conversation with the man sitting beside us because she was mad that another employee gave him a poster.... I was livid. How can the lead manager have such a lack of respect for her own patrons? Such a shame. She is also very unpleasant to speak to and has terrible customer service instincts. I believe she should be fired.
Theatres 1 -4 are small one level so through the whole movie I had to look at the back of some people's heads, dirty floor, old seats, and extremely worn out, not only am I sitting on squashed smarties on the seat the arm rests are all sticking to my elbows, this theatre needs new seats badly, I'm attaching pictures as proof, this is probably my worst movie experience in a very long time, I don't usually post reviews but I just couldn't stay quite - the managements needs to address these issues as I will never come back to this particular location, I don't understand how such a large corporation can allow such horrible conditions for their customers - a renovation is needed and you won't see me at this location until it receives one.
Since the pandemic started, I've been attending this theatre, and it seems like this place is getting less taken care of overtime. One of the major problems I had with this location is that the theatre on the second floor has a dead pixel in the centre-right of the screen that hasn't been fixed since multiple viewing despite telling staff. Another thing is the sound levels are either unbearably loud or silent, and it never seems to be checked up on/adjusted. One time I was able to hear the movie reasonably clear from the next theatre over. Some minor gripes are that the posters are never the correct ones on the walls or non-existent making it impossible to find the theatre. Another is that every vending machine is out of order, and sometimes they don't have signs and just take your money. Perhaps it was on me to put money into a machine without lights but still could've used a sign.
Huge facility with nice theatres and overall ambiance. Parking is plentiful and square one is right across the street so you have something to do after the movie has finished. Never a good time to go during a holiday or when a big movie is opening though. If you do go during that time, expect long wait times. I always would reserve my seat online and print my tickets or scan my phone at the gate to avoid the long lineups and wait times. I always recommend going on Tuesday because the tickets are at a discount. Snack prices are about average for a cineplex theatre. Movie quality, sound and overall experience is great.
The theatre is quite old, as seen with the unrefurbished interiors, old auditoriums with rocky seats. The lineup for both the tickets and the concessions can be very long and tedious especially during weekday evenings. Also, the selection of films played in the theatres only include Hollywood blockbusters and lack films for a niche audience.
My home theater. IMAX is best around and concessions are top notch. Building is a little dated and it gets very busy on weekends but is a very good popular theatre. Sometimes they do not have less popular films but for the biggest releases you can't go wrong here.
I decide to go with my wife to watch the movie Avengers end game yesterday 10.40pm. Us seats was covered with popcorn and floors was sticky, and we pay for premium seats. Is fill like rip off.
First time I have been to the Cinema after 2 years. Enjoy the movie and the enhance booking. Hope things go back to normal soon so I can take the kids to the cinema.
Pretty empty most of the time but the chairs aren't great, other theaters have better seats.
Not the greatest theatre. Auditoriums are in desperate need of renovation as seats are worn to the point of being uncomfortable. If this is your closest theatre then spend the extra time and money to make your way to the Queensway Cineplex. Only reason why I give 2/5 and not 1/5 is because I have not been in every single auditorium to confirm the seating issue but one is enough and the general lobby/foyer gives the clear impression that the whole joint needs a refresh.
A good cinema, but certainly not a great one any more. The place feels a bit tired and in need of an update, including some of the cinemas, and the sound in some cinemas is frankly FAR too loud for comfort.
Their new system for ticket lineup interferes with getting in and out of the theatre due to a roped off and bottlenecked area that was once open and more efficient. Moving on, getting down the stairs immediately after the movie is dangerous as there is only one escalator and dozens of people flooding from a single theatre. Movie experience itself was great and the food was warm.
Pretty typical ciniplex, nice that it's not in a mall so you don't have to deal with all the mall rats
Nice theatre. Well located. Washrooms could be cleaner and fresher. Now that Cineplex doesn't have any competition, it seems they Don't Really Care
Finally cinema is back.. but our square one cineplex experience was so bad when we visited in precovid times.. the only reason, it was really in bad shape when it comes cleanliness inside the theatre room.. so I really wanted to go for a movie but I have select someother cineplex evethough the square one in just next to where I stay..hope they improve..
This place is near to sqaure one go terminal, just opposite to Sheridan college. It's easy to reach here by public transport as well. Tickets for 2D are marked as 8.99 $ each on Tuesdays. It is advisable to book tickets in advance for any new releases, if you are planning to go on Tuesdays else be ready to strain your eyes by watching movies from front rows. Seats are not that great but one can bear with them for a movie.
Very disappointed! When we went to watch Hidden figures, it showed us that the movie was still in the theaters in the evening but then we got there to see that it wadn't there! It wasn't a very good experience! Check more than once before showing up!
This place needs a facelift esp since it's the busiest theatre in Mississauga. It doesn't have self-serve drinks like the other theatres & there is no washroom on the upper level so there's no such thing as a quick washroom break if your movie is playing upstairs. Also, on a crazy Sat night, they should have more than 1 person working at the counter for those of us using Costco vouchers, etc. Waited in line for over 25 mins just to get my tix. Good thing I arrived an hour early!
Starting by waiting in line to hand the tickets over to the lady, she greeted us with the most disrespect and with anger in her voice. Tells us to not stand in the one line to get popcorn because it was getting long and in her way. We then get over to where the screen room is and when we walk in it’s dirty do we wait outside but then we hear the previews playing and it’s 10 minutes until the movie plays so the whole line up goes in and takes their seats moving garbage out of our ways. Then the staff came in and kicked us all out again to clean the theatre so we missed half the previews. They at least apologized and I can understand its a busy night but that lady at the ticket checker had no right with her aggression.
Good theater. I remembered when it first open 20 yrs ago. But The interior is dated needs a complete overhaul.
A favorite theater of mine. Most of the newer screening areas are quite clean and the staff is very friendly. Although the older areas leave a bit to be desired with sticky floors and old seats.
They certainly dropped in quality since they became a monopoly. No completion meaning they can do whatever they want. Meaning their customer service is drooped, their cinemas are very small, uncomfortable, overpriced movies. But when there's no where else to go see premium movies Cineplex is your only choice.
Got into the theatre #6 for our 10:05pm show and it was a complete mess. Wasnt cleaned from the previous showtime. The time was 10:40pm and the seats were half full. Then at 9:50pm the lady comes and kicks everyone out to clean it. Ive never had that happen before at another cineplex. It wasnt that big of a deal but i think that shouldnt happen.
One of the pricier locations but they support many of the newest technologies and carry a solid array of the current wide movies. Has one of less than a handful of IMAX screens in the GTA.
Love this cineplex near square one, it big it’s clean the staff is friendly, the seats are nice, Lots of parking, a lot of restaurant choices around it as well as square one and playdium all in walking distance Great for a date night ????
This is an awesome place with great food and decent crowd. The IMAX movie experience is my favorite.
food court is open but only for takeout????,, then whats the point of opening the court, looks like this location is not as enjoyable anymore avoid if you are thinking of eating inside????
Seats are so uncomfortable in theater
Imax is great in this theatre. If you're going to go here make sure the movie is recent. Older movies will be shown in much crappier theatres with old and faulty projection equipment. Otherwise it is a pretty large movie theatre. Standard fare of over priced food as well.
Excellent plan for cold days like those. Perfect for family plans.
Too crowded, many obnoxious movie-goers, and suspicious activity in the parking lot where people damage your parked car! This is only a desperate spot for me if can’t find a good showtime at another cineplex location.
Good selection of movies. A bit pricy but just as pricy as any movie theatre. Theatres are clean and staff is accommodating
Why movie like Bahubaali is not screened in Mississauga in Cineplex?. We had to go to a different group of theatre in Richmond hill for the movie and was disappointed with the screen size and sound effects. This movie had imax too and the theater didn't have that option. Movies like Bahubaali was most awaited movie and Mississauga people with background Tamil Telugu will appreciate if we can watch this movie in imax in our hometown.
Great IMAX theater
Only go here because they have a monopoly on Cinema experiences. Hope they enjoy another lockdown ????????
Smaller cinema, smaller screens, but also a lot cheaper with much better deals. Definitely worth checking out. Tuesday all movies are $5 flat.
Convenient location located in the center of Mississauga with easy public transit access. The facilities, seats, and look is a bit dated and worn out compared to the newer or other revitalized cineplex theatres.
This place is pretty nice to go see a movie during Covid, they make sure to keep your safety in mind throughout your visit. Not to many lines or over packed theaters. Only problem i had was they didn't have much of a selection of movies and they weren't serving slushy's.
Move theater over all is quite nice, the atmosphere is good, and most of the time staff are professional and friendly. Their parking is sufficient, although the drop of is fairly hard to get to. The walk from the parking spot may be a bit distant at times as a result. They have many auditoriums, clean washrooms, and food similar to all theaters.
Theater is Okk, but the washroom always stinks n is always dirty. This is nearest location ( cineplex) from my place. I prefer to go far whenever I have time.
Some of the movie auditoriums at this location need to be upgraded, and some of the seats need to be replaced as there's a lot of noticeable wear and tear on them. I watched "The beach bum" at this location and the theatre was cold throughout the whole film. I spoke to a manager after the film by the name of Sara (if i'm not mistaken) who behaved very defensively. She stated she checked the temperature of the auditorium before the movie started and that it was set at 75 degrees fahrenheit, which meant the temperature was apparently normal (we live in Canada btw, we go by celsius). She then stated the onus was on us to have left the auditorium within 45 minutes after the movie starting, in order to receive a refund. She had the audacity to blame the customer as if we were lying or something. We wouldn't have complained if the theatre wasn't cold to begin with, plus we don't know the rules and regulations of Cineplex regarding refunds. A very poor customer experience indeed.
Decent theater, but not strict enough about cell phones. Guy next to me was on Instagram with maximum brightness through 75% of the movie and no one did anything. Otherwise a good experience.
The worst service ever i seen , they didn’t mention about physical id while booking of tickets even they didn’t refund
The place runs basically coz of its monopoly in the area.. Generally dirty and messy, not very comfortable seating, usually crowded, dissapointing imax, expensive food n drinks.. din get much interaction with the staff..
Clean, big good place to go my go on week-end s parking is hard but uts close to resterents so good location for dinner and movie or dessert
The movie and sound was awesome!!!
Rude staff they have different and their own rule
Staff is bit rude Other than that great screens and speakers combined best possible theater experience
Lovely movie experience. Pamela at the ticket counter was very friendly. Greeted with a great smile. 100% on customer service experience! Great job team Cineplex!
Average cinema. Went to see Black and Blue which they had in a small theater downstairs. Guess it's not a popular movie to get a big one.
Cleanliness is a big issue ..... Seats are not properly cleaned and floors are sticky all over....Service in Canada needs HUGE improvement....Canada should look up to UAE when it comes to hospitality!
DIRTY! Me and my boyfriend came here to watch movie in no. 10 room theatre.. All the seats were full of DIRT.. we really got disappointed.. i will never NEVER RECOMMEND
The dirtiest Cineplex I have ever been. The theater wasn't even clean before the next show, visitors had to clean themselves to be able to seat.
We were looking forward to seeing a great movie in a nice theater. I used 2000 of my Scene points x 2 for two of us, for the Ultra AVX & expected a decent theater, boy was I disappointed. We were in theater 9, the seats were old, most torn & the back did not recline, it stayed straight upright and the only way to get it to move was to push it back with your feet, which moved your seat as well. I was very uncomfortable as I was stuck sitting completely upright for the entire movie and very disappointed. I have been to much smaller theaters & they have the upgraded seats. I'm thankful I only used my Scene points for this time & I know I will never be going back to this location again!
A friend and myself went to the Cineplex location in Mississauga, location on 309 Rathburn Rd. In line for concession and the associate taking our order doesnt even say hello or offer a combo and just basically looks like she cant be bothered. I ordered nachos and cheese along with popcorn and a large drink. Basically the total came up to about $33. After paying for my order, the associate tells us that they have no cheese. I dont like salsa, so I ask her to refund the nachos as I didnt want them if they had no cheese. She had to call a manager. We waited about 10 minutes for a manager. When one came, Melissa, she didnt apologize, she didnt greet us, she basically acted like we werent there. After getting the money back, we walked over to Outtakes and noticed they have nachos there. So we ordered nachos and cheese (this associate was very helpful). The associate tells us that we have to order the nachos from the concession and come over back to outtakes to get the cheese. None of this was given to us as an option by the concession assoiate or the manager, Melissa. In that case we would have done that instead of getting the refund. So we asked to speak to a manager and Melissa comes out again. Not a hello or any type of greeting. We asked her why nobody gave us the option of buying the nachos and coming back to get the cheese. She full out lies and said she didnt know why anyone didnt tell us that we could do that. A lot of attitude from her and she was acting like we were bothering her. She kept saying "I could give you nachos, I dont care". Basically, a terrible experience with the worst customer experience i have ever experienced at a Cineplex location. I will avoid coming to this location from now on. I expect that something will be done and that Melissa is put through some sprt of training on how to interact with customers.
I think they should upgrade everything there it’s really old screens
I always go to this theatre whenever I need to watch a movie. Super clean and fast, friendly service. Never had a bad experience here in all my years of going to this theatre.
It’s okay ... not my favourite cinema to go ... kinda like a last min cinema if other ones don’t have my showtimes. Always busy and full. People jump the theatres and ppl alwys taking other people’s seats that they haven’t paid for. Just last week went to see a movie 10-15 people jumped the theatres and didn’t pay for the seats. Not fair to the ppl that actually and now being disturbed while others arrugue over the seating... getting annoying now to be honest. Other than it’s okay. No Tims for they have starbucks And they sell alcohol
Hall 9 is too small, like a living room
I have been to this theatre numerous times and have never had any issues. I was here was for the Star Wars Rogue One movie on opening day. I had purchased tickets online as soon as they were released so that I could get good seats and avoid lineups on the day of the showing. When I got to the theatre, the confirmation code did not work. I was with my friends and they all thought that I had made an error because the tickets refused to print on any of the machines. This gave me an extremely unpleasant feeling. I ended up having to line up and speak to a person to get my tickets printed, defeating the purpose of avoiding lineups. Rough start, but all was well once I had my tickets. I had purchased tickets for the IMAX theatre which required glasses. Signs were everywhere asking people to return the glasses. Fair enough. The movie was great, but as I was leaving, I decided to leave my glasses at my chair so that I would not take them home. As I was walking out the corridor, there was a cleaning crew waiting for the theatre to empty. Outside the doors, a lady was asking everyone to return their glasses. I told her that I left mine and my fiance's at our chairs and that they could get them there when they clean up. This lady insisted that I go all the way back inside and to my seat to pick up my glasses for her and bring them back to her outside, knowing there was a handful of staff that were going to clean up the theatre immediately after it had emptied. Where was the point in that? This completely ruined my night, especially since my friends saw countless other people walk out with their glasses in their hands and take them home. She never once approached them to re-claim theatre property. I immediately contacted the theatre supervisor and demanded an explanation. This lady's actions were completely uncalled for. This was one of my first days off for Christmas break and she completely set a bad tone. The way things are going, I never plan to step back inside that theatre or any other Cineplex franchise again. This review will be here to warn others that the staff at the Square One location are incredibly demeaning.
Best theatre in town! One of the few with true 70mm IMAX. Beyond friendly staff and management. My wife and I were out to see a movie. We went a couple hours early to make sure we had great seats. Due to a mix up which we weren't aware of, the movie started at an earlier time and there was a huge line. We were upset. The management were completely understand and beyond kind enough to get us in ahead of the line. Amazing management. What originally was a upsetting evening turned out to be the best movie night ever!
Cineplex has such poor customer service.
To be completely honest food service was very fast and fresh popcorn. Good for the food service. Why I gave it a low rating? In the theater I was unhappy that my seats did not have cup holders, arm rest. Also the seats cup holders and arm rest were sliding off completely. Not comfortable at all. Now after the movie was finished I spoke with both the closing managers the seem too tired to apologize for the condition of the theater.
Extremely unpleasant experience. If you guys can't accommodate enough people then stop selling your tickets. I went to watch Incredible 2 and it was showing in Cinema 3 which is very small. All the tickets were sold out and turns out that counts the seats in the front which nobody wants. At least show the block buster in a bigger room with more seats. That is common sense. How can someone watch a movie comfortably in the front seat
I went to watch Annabelle Returns Home and there was a girl with 3 friends 2 kids and a baby who came in a quarter through the movie.. making so much noise talking the most of the time and the baby was crying through the whole movie .. the mother of the child pulls out her phone and gives it to the baby while playing paw patrol. This was the most ridiculous thing I have experienced and the 2 kids were dancing in the aisles.. I swear people are weird... when I went to the manager she looked at me n nodded her head like she cared but didnt say anything... MY ADVICE : dont let babies or kids see a rated r movie .. and secondly hire a manager who isnt sleeping on the job !!!! I'm very upset that I couldn't even watch a movie that I been looking forward to so thank u cinneplex for ruining my experience!!!
Went for movie, staff asked for physical id we showed them in out phone but they didn’t accept it we requested to talk to Manager but he was not helpful and told us to refund. Last night we went to courtney park cineplex and they just checked vaccination proof and id in our phone. Very disappointed ☹️
Worst movie theatre I've ever been to. Staff are rude and have no manners whatsoever. The theatre looks outdated and disgusting. Never coming back here again.
Great location. I come here once a month. Wish they would renovate a bit. Other then that its an excellent cinema.
I go here every so often, and it's an "ok" theatre in general. It definitely needs some aesthetic/structural upgrades to be on par with the other locations, which provide a better experience for the same price. More variety in their movie selection would also be welcome, especially because of its prominent location in Mississauga (and after other theatres were closed down) - I often have to travel further away into Etobicoke or Oakville just to see something that isn't a marvel or kids movie, when I'd rather go to this location because it's closer.
One of the best movie theatres in GTA. Would highly recommend this place.
Usually love this place but this past visit wasnt the greatest. Screen kept flashing red throughout the WHOLE movie! (Opening night for Aquaman) when I complained the staff member said I only had 20 min grace period for a refund. I didnt want to leave mid movie and miss out. Poutine were great but the side bar wasnt fully stocked. Popcorn wasnt salted at all. Probably going to stick to the winston churchill location from now on.
Hall size is relatively small, but clean and well maintained
This Cineplex is pretty much like every other Cineplex . Nothing special. As with every movie theater these days the food is overpriced. It cost as much to eat there as it did to see the movie..
My home theater. IMAX is best around and concessions are top notch. Building is a little dated and it gets very busy on weekends but is a very good popular theatre. Sometimes they do not have less popular films but for the biggest releases you can't go wrong here.
IMAX Cinema theatre did not have A/C while watching Shang-Chi movie. The whole experience was very terrible. No visible sign of AC not working upon entrance to the IMAX theatre. Staff did not warning us of the AC not working upon entrance. Manager on duty (12 to 4pm shift) was not very helpful and was very rude to us. Four of us paid approximately $25 per person and bought pop corn/drinks; it was not worth it. Very, very disappointed. Especially during COVID pandemic, the air circulation is not very good in the IMAX theatre.
This is definitely one of the worst movie theaters not just in Mississauga but in the whole world. So old, dirty and average service. Anyone can see there are popcorn all around, right from the entrance to the seat in theater. They have provided their staff with broom and dustpan and definitely that's not enough. You need keep someone with vacuum cleaner who should be taking rounds to clean up all space. Seats were another disappointment, old and some rickety, handles and sides of the handles were dirty. Check your seats properly before taking them. In this world, they have seats that cannot be adjusted... Are you kidding??? I would really suggest to go somewhere else, this movie theater is complete waste of money.
Noone offered us 3D glasses for the imax and many people there for the 1st time had to leave the theater at the beginning of the movie to go all tbe way to the entrance to grab them! The seating for food court is way too small. Brampton SilverCity is a mich better model!
Always watched movies here. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Only downside is the washroom, needs more cleaning attention but otherwise theater in general is good. I will comeback for my next movie.
No social distancing maintained in the audis. The seats are even double booked, creates confusion
I continue to attend this theatre only because it’s the closest to my house AND I’m a film fanatic. But this place is outdated. Firstly, cinemas 1-8,10 have seats that are very uncomfortable. The cushioning has worn down and needs to be replaced. Secondly, when cinemas 1-4 are the worst cinemas to watch movies in. The seats are horrible and the angle to the screen is bad. Whenever a movie I want to see is playing in cinemas 1-4, I won’t bother coming to this cineplex! Please update your seats and do something about cinemas 1-4!
Top of the line ...high standard and latest movies...best representation of what real cinema is....i hve been there for over 20 times last year
Comfortable chairs, great place to go with friends or family to watch movies, has many nice movies and in a great place.
One if the best movie theatres in Toronto area. Really fun design and great theatres and modern design. Well maintained. You want to get in any of the upstairs theatres - they are really nice. And speaking of nice...the staff here are 10/10. The manager Alex J went well above and beyond to help me today. So great. Thanks Alex. It's why we need to support the people here trying to keep the doors open....because they care. Good covid protocols.
The theatres were very clean and nice. I enjoyed watching the movie .
Our movie experience was great Booked the tickets online. Booking tickets took a while may be because of the Avegers movie. I actually learnt that if you do not have a scene card you will be charged a dollar more.
Most recently due to the Omicron virus Cineplex has shut down its concession stand thus no food or drinks can be brought into the theater. This seems a bit excessive and realistically does nothing to mitigate the spread of covid in theaters. The employees constantly come up and down during the movie causing a disturbance to customers. Definitely won't be attending back anytime soon.
Movie started 20 minutes late. They dimmed the lights completely and we sat in complete dark with the screen off and then they turned the bright LED’s on without starting the show still. Not the movie experience I remember. Won’t be back.
Worst Service Ever!!!! Went in today and their credit card and debt wasn't working. They told me get the F*** out of here. I highly recommend that we all stop going there. Basically my friends were inside and I came late, told them I have credit and debt and the girl kept on trying and later she told me our machines are down. Was be hide 10 mins into the movie already. How was i supposed to enjoy a movie when the start is this bad with customer service. Worst Ever not sure why I am even giving one star. Shame on this theater!!!!!
Great location and good size cinema theatre! The place is well maintained and clean. They have Ultra AVX, IMAX, D-BOX and RealD-3D theatres. They also offer space for group events and screening. They have Starbucks, Pizza pizza, Outtakes and Yoyo's here. You can book advance tickets online to save time when you get there. Also, they have huge parking lots but you still need to come early to park close by.
The theatre is okay. It's starting to get a bit outdated, particularly the washrooms. It can also be a little difficult to get to if the mall is busy but is convenient if you rely on transit
I LOVE WATCHING MOVIES HERE! The theatre halls are always clean and the staff is so friendly. The service is quick too. Love it !
Old and run down theatre. Arcade looks like it hasn’t been updated in 20 years
The worst ticketing setup. More than 1 cashier is needed to funnel a line up of 50+ people. Of the dozen ticketing booths, 3 of them had technical issues or were out of printing paper. The front end congestion was bordering an actual fire hazard. Only redeeming element to the theatre was the snack bar staff who were courteous and fast.
Theater is dated and needs to be renovated. Nothing has changed in the last 20 years . You walk into the concession stands line up and can't get around.
Nice theater located in the center of the Mississauga, you can buy ur tickets online or in person and then go grab a bite to eat or do some shopping before or after your movie. You can also book theater rooms for your office conference or meetings????????.
Cheers???? ????
Bad service at the outtakes food area. There was one other person in front of us, we ordered at 7:50PM and they didn’t finish our order until 8:11PM - it took 21 minutes and then they even got the order wrong - I was already late for the movie so I didn’t bother fixing it. Customers were piling up and everyone was complaining too. Instead focusing on the current customers in front of them - it took 4 employees to put stickers or tape of some sort on a take out bag. One person was making food but had no idea what she was doing. Literally the most terrible service.
Paid extra for Imax to find out there is no AC working once inside.
Facilities are clean and it has both IMAX and Dbox available. If you are going to buy something to eat for the movie, you need to be there a little bit early because the line may take a while.
I come here often. There's always parking and seating isn't usually a problem. I think the chairs are a little outdated, as the arm rests don't come up. They don't have the VIP experience which is a bit of shame at the center of Mississauga.
This was my son's first movie theatre experience. He's two years old and we went to see Life of pets part 2 after watching part 1 over and over and over again. This was amazing experience for us both
It was fairly clean, and not too busy when we went on a Friday night. Interior may be a little worn though.
Staff wasnt even there to check people in (scan tickets) and then comes.running and chasing people down to make sure they havetickets, and then it was a 3D movie and they didnt even have the 3D glasses out for people to watch the movie. They dropped the ball tonight.
nice screens and some friendly staff
The seats are comfortable but stay away from their hot dogs. It didn’t taste good and uncooked.
What's with the LOCAL GUIDE reviews ??? Haven't been yet, but as I am considering watching a movie here I see that "Local Guide" reviews are all average or above, while the rest seem to be predominantly low.....Hmmm.... do "Local Guide" reviewers get some sort of perk? seems suspect,...but can't say for sure obviously. Any way since it has 4.1 will leave a 4 so that the comment does not affect - but have made the decision not to go --
Pick and choose between letting ppl go inside between Fully vaccinated.( carding) Digital receipt -& PHYSICAL id ( no mention anywhere in email or ticket confirmation about “”ONLY ORIGINAL PHYSICAL ID “”accepted .One person from our family was allowed with id photo another was not.New trainees should treat all in same manner.
Went to see Rise of Skywalker. Before the movie started, there was audio but no video during the preshow. Returned to normal when the movie started.
Theater was empty ... loved it.
Disappointing, we had to wait a very long time to get refreshments; only 2 people at the cash with 15 people in each line up. Needless to say we missed the intro and first 8 minutes of the movie...even though we arrived 35 minutes prior to the start time!
This theatre reminds me of why i quit watching movies at the cinemas. The seats were uncomfortable and they really need to get some A.C going in the movies rather than just outside in the chill areas. It made watching a movie almost umbearable!
Huge screen, very comfortable, but people were not social distanced
Was a good time for sure. Went to imax 100 bucks for my brother and I which Im thinking was a bit much. Also popcorn was a bit chewey
Was a good spot space between everyone due to covid book early tho...
I wish if we can choose our seats from the system, while you are booking the movie, not everyone can go and sit anywhere! So, I have to come 45 minutes early to find a good spot! And I think it will be a good idea if the last line is upgraded to include comfortable sofas, of course with a higher price.
It's okay. Not much to like or hate in this movie theater. Only problem with this company is the prices seem to rise pretty quickly, needs more competition.
One of the best Cinemas in GTA with the features like D-box, I-MAX, Ultra AVX and 3D, to provide you with the most enjoyable movie experiences.
I came here with a friend to see a film. His ticket had a printing error which I get, however customer service was closed. We were told to use the snack bar instead which took 20 minutes, therefore leaving us mediocre seats for the film. Also a local Mississauga crack addict was dipping his bare hands into the yogurt toppings. Two managers walked by after I told them and suggested they should change those toppings. The managers gave me a weird look but, behind their backs he was going to do it again. I said turn around look! They kicked him out but, I don't know if they removed the tainted toppings. I didn't see them do it, I think they thought by kicking out the crack addict problem solved. Don't trust the food there, I guess they use the 1 hour rule. The rest of the staff is fine which is why I give 3 stars.
The worse place in Mississauga. I got tickets for me and my son to watch on 3d movie and grab two seats which apparently was hold for a whole family. Why I pay the money 30 bucks for people holding 7 seats if there's no numbers on the ticket or policy that they should hold the whole row ..The manager is extremely rude she doesn't have manners whatsoever and she didn't even know how to solve the problem. NEVER AGAIN spend my money here.
Today I was at the cinema room and lost my airpods which cost $300 (and was 1 week old)... the manager and everyone assisted in looking for it and ensured it was returned to me. I am so happy and impressed and again fell in love with the people at Cineplex Mississauga
Well organized and clean inside! Staff is kind and aren’t struggling to keep up! Enjoyed my first time out since covid started! Will be back for sure
Not very impressed. Bit old. They need to renovate badly. Outdated machines. Service is usually solid. But i think the days of 4 drink options are long gone. Its nice that they have beer though.
Worst movie theatre. So busy, out dated, dirty, no toilet paper in the washroom. Don't waste your money going to this location.
Oldest ,dirtiest seats and theater I ever seen waste of money. I'm surprised the price 100% same like other theatres but every thing else is not even 10%
Love going to this theater mainly due to convenience with their location. Two stars this time around however. We showed up 20 minutes early to grab good seats for a 705 show (and play Timeplay) and at 650, the cleaning crew came in and kicked everyone out of the theatre to clean up from the prior show. Not only did we lose our original seats we came early for, but they had not paused the preshow during the cleanup, and we missed trailers including some Timeplay.
Great experience but a always a bit dirty.
This Cineplex at Square One location has countless problems: Complain : 1, Sound too loud 2, Movie out of focus 3, Seat - peeled off and no back support, nothing but, plywood I’m an handicapped person with serious back problems. 4, Dusty floor and stairways 5, Contaminated air circulation or ventilation - now I am suffering with real bad cold due to the lack of clean air in the theatre. I heard a lots of people sneezing and coughing. 6, Dirty, smelly, no cleaned up men’s washroom 7, I can find even more if I go back I contacted Mara O, who claim that she is a supervisor and also manager of Cineplex Guest Services. Although I had such a horrible experience, she still trying to offer me 2 passes and 2 popcorns. You will get sick if you go that theatre ! ! Don’t go there.
Seats are getting a bit dated and need updating or thorough cleaning. Selection of food is not that great and with self serve only ticket purchases, lineups at customer service have grown too long so if you really needed customer service such as closed captioning for the hearing disabled or any ticket returns or adjustments, you're stuck in line for longer than you would have in the past.
Seats are tight and don’t recline which would be okay but they are the dirtiest I’ve ever seen in a theatre. Just full of dust and stains. Would not come back to this theater.
Please dont go if you got #AUD4 because this cinema hall has all seats flat not towards up
We have seen most of the cineplexes and this does not meet expectations one has from a cineplexes. I would think twice before planning
I went yesterday to watch a movie on theatre 7 and our seats were poorly maintained, stained and not comfortable at all - it was like sitting on a rock. I can't believe you are paying that much money for a movie and Cineplex doesn't even bother to clean it up properly. I usually go to the one on Queensway and it's so much better so I'll continue to go there
The Imax 3D experience is good here. Conveniently located near the Square one area. The online system is pretty good to book tickets paperless and best of all the parking is free-very thoughtful of the management especially in GTA ????
Had a worst experience because the screen was all blue and sound quality was bad in cinema 1 and after complaining multiple times to cineplex employees no one fix it
Good times were had. Whew was it expensive though! I didn't think they food prices could get worse but alas here we are friends. If i'm dropping 75 for just 2 people, the seats in the theater better see an improvement or it'll be off to the drive-in in my comfy vehicle for us!
Clean, professional environment. Great customer service. Love their screens, movie variety, food and drink selection and their alcohol booth is a great new addition haha
The rating is a bit low due to the value for money. Inspite of the virus which is affecting us globally and cinema hall being completely empty we were charged CAD 17 for adults and CAD 14 for children saying Baaghi 3 is a AtS or something technology. The person at the counter was not even aware what it was and maybe had memorised the word.
Loved it! The interior design is very cool. And unlike some cinemas, this one is very clean.
No stereo sound, instead of being soundrounded by awesome sounds from movie we have to hear everything on the right side like in mono! I prefer to go to cheap cinema, at least I can hear sounds from movie in stereo. Even when a guy in the beginning is saying from where to where we can hear sounds everything is on the right side! We shouldn’t pay that much for low class sound design...
Snacks are gud but unfortunately,Seats are here not a clean may be they change so people will enjoy more here .
Comfortable seats but the movie we saw - Rocketman - was in a theatre that was quite small
Horrible experience! The cinema was freezing cold. Everyone had to where their winter jackets during the movie. We complained three times and nothing was done to remedy the situation. There was no regard for customer whatsoever!
I would of loved to give this place 5 stars however during my visit lastnight with 3 friends we realized our theatre room was not cleaned before the movie as there was something spilled infront of our seats there was a puddle of sticky substance and because the movie was aboit to start we didnt get to address the issue as after the movie we couldnt find a cineplex worker only cleaners who told us the theatre rooms only get a quick clean between movies it isnt until the last show that they go in and fully clean. This was very dissappointing as we couldnt even put our feet down without stepping in this liquid . definatly not a good expereince
The venue (IMAX) was fantastic, great outing for family entertainment, food is a little pricey, but you expect that at a movie complex, at the time of visit, 4:30 pm, the washroom was very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly.
Can you please clean up your theatres after every movies? I watched a movie in cinema 4 on Sunday the 14th of April and the chairs and arm rests were so dirty; everyone was complaining. Watching a movie in a filthy environment is not what we look forward to. Scrub the dirt off the chairs and arm rests, at least in theatre room 4, please. I hope the other theatres are clean.
Great place to spend time with kids and watch cinema. Very clean and the staff are polite.
This movie theater is probably like most other Cineplex chain theatres. They offer free parking, Wi-Fi, a wide variety of good but overpriced movie snacks and food. I really like their poutine. My only problem is a lack of staff, everything is so automated now, and the customer service desk isn't even always open to help you with an issue.
When one staff does not get three different orders right, and does not even offer a tray, you have to ask for one, even when the four orders do not even fit on the counter; then once you manage carrying the $80 worth of snacks, and carry them all to go to the escalator, another staff member with his groom runs into you because he was joking around with another team member at the far other end of the theatre. Half of the pop corn was spilled on us and on the ground, almost fell on the ground as he was really not paying attention. The best they could do is that they asked me if i wanted that pop corn to be topped up i could go back to the counter. Yeah, and wait another 10 minutes in line and miss some decent seating in the theatre? To top it up, the seats at cinema 7 are filthy and disgusting, i had to cover them with napkins to be able to sit on them, they clearly do not do a good job cleaning. Lastly, if you are a scene member, and do the time play before the movie and win, you will hardly find someone who is knowledgeable enough to help you retrieve what you won. By the way, when getting to the counter, make sure you tell them if you are a scene member because they do not ask and do not care. I am regretting the $140 spent that day for such a terrible service.
The worst cineplex I've ever been in. Terrible terrible seats. Theatres so gross and old. Cinema 10 horrible sound....One of the stuff very kind and helpful
Went to an afternoon showing of, “The Turning” yesterday. Was my first trip to the theatre and it was decent. If I had any bad things to say is that in Theatre 4, the seats are very worn out and old. This is surprising considering the price of the tickets. We also had a few disturbances during the movie with a few people (not being quiet after jump scares, overreacting). In which there wasn’t a heck of a lot the theatre did to help. Other than that, I enjoyed the outing yesterday :)
Cineplex Rathburn has got to be the worst Cineplex I’ve ever been too. Walked into the movie & they were playing the CLIMAX to the movie I just paid to watch. On top of everything, the food was cold. Cineplex..do better. So disappointed.
Went to see Star wars imax 20.00 Ticket . Theatre was so cold even with menopausal hot flashes had to use my down jacket as a blanket. . concession food very expensive , 60 plus for 2 popcorns 3 pops ( with a scene card ) . 135.00 for 3 people ridiculous...
Just saw Alita Battle Angel. Never been here but the experience was quick. Good amount of parking. Fast service. Friendly staff.
I like this location for the great movie selection and some restaurant vendors. Quite the walk from the car dress well can be rather windy and cold depending. Best to make an early start for the few minutes to make the walk. Always an engaging conversation when the movie is done. I love that they have added the adult beverage cart! Plus other food selections. I'm also happy to have a starubucks tea offered as well.
I had a very baad experience booked my tickets online and reached 30mins before the show time . All the mobile pickup kios were out of order (without printer paper ) so i had to stand in the long line with people who were purchasing their ticket at that time. I hardly made it before the show. My advise is that if u r booking ur tickets in advance please select the print option rather than option for getting bar code in ur mobile. Get ur tickets print from home to avoid this type of situation.
