☆Best customer service ever!☆ I needed repairs (under warranty) for my recliner. Within less than 24 hours from the first house call to the next day when a new base installed, the work is completed. Kevin was super helpful and super nice! We were looking for a recliner for my mom and he was able to help us out. She needs it for post surgery so it has to be a certain height and I guess the service department can actually add risers to the bottom! It is, of course, an extra fee but most places don't offer something like that so we were very excited!

Richard's knowledge on the products and interior design were fabulous. He also introduced us to an interior designer which will be assisting us with further designs for our house. He really emphasized a look and design that we want and not what he thought looked good. We couldn't have been more pleased with his help. Purchased (2 pieces) of furniture, was told there would be a delay of a few months. After 6 months with basically no follow from the sales associate, I finally contacted the sales manager. Was told the product was on the way. After 7 months, was told the product would be delivered. Day prior to the said delivery day, the text indicated only one piece being delivered. At that point had finally given up due to frustration with dealing with La Z Boy, I canceled my order and purchased elsewhere. Lack of communication, no follow up and promised dates not met.

I liked how you have chosen to accommodate so many small sizing changes that help different sized people. I also appreciated the vastly improved controls on the chair for angle and recline. Very satisfying shopping experience. Can’t wait to get the chairs! Enjoying the anticipation. Regards EDIT...The chairs came 7 weeks later. I picked them up at the warehouse where friendly helpers loaded my truck. At home the chairs look great! We are enjoying them every day. La-Z-Boy was a really good idea.

A few months ago I helped my mother buy an electric recliner. Two months later it needed repair. Then the repair order was mislaid. So why 4 stars? Because when I brought the issue to the attention of management, not only was the problem resolved immediately, but they replaced the chair with a more expensive model at no extra charge. Companies are run by humans, and humans make mistakes; it's how you rectify them that separates the wheat from the chaff. I was very impressed with the manager, Justin, and his customer relations skills. Will definitely go back in future.

Richard was great. We were shopping for dining room chairs since the hubby built a custom dining table for us and wasn't going to attempt the chairs LOL. We bought Canadel chairs.. Richard helped us customize the colors and the builds of them. I think it was just less than 2 months for them to come in/built from Quebec. When it came to picking up the chairs once they arrived.... We were not told we had to go to 137AVE... When you call the number on google (southside La Z Boy) and press 3 for receiving and told them I was coming to get them.. They didn't say (neither did Richard) that it was not at the Southside Location for pick up.. So that sucked BUT the warehouse boys were willing to stay later than 6 so I could pick up and the boys were all friendly and helpful! It was no problem going to the northside.. Just wish we knew. We live at Pigeon Lake and were picking the chairs up after work... Just made the night a little longer. I WOULD BUY FROM THIS LOCATION again now that I know where the warehouse is :-D ... Their (La Z Boy) Warehouse was much better than picking up at the Brick LOL that was a gong show! Thanks guys :-)

Great Sales experience, poor poor service experience. I have telephoned several times to leave a message, never to actually speak to a live person. They returned one of my calls and never called back. We purchased an expensive recliner only to have the base fall apart so I cannot use the product. Again currently terrible customer service. I have changed my review from 1 star to 4 because once service was aware I had fallen through the covid cracks they rushed to resolve the matter within a week.

I ordered 2 couches, one hide a bed and one regular couch back in mid November. I haven’t received them yet and it’s May 31st, which I understand with COVID. My problem is there has been ZERO communication/ updates regarding when my furniture will be on its way. I feel like for the $$$ you spend between the couches, warranty, delivery, and custom throw pillows they could at least keep you updated or have much better customer service. I called once about a month ago but I guess I’ll have to call again. This is my second set of couches from this lazy boy and it’ll be my last — customer service is everything!

Excellent experience at this store. I would strongly recommend. We were served by Perry Langelle. Went in late on a Sunday. We were encouraged to take our time to try out the chairs in order to make a good choice. We finally made our choice at 5 minutes to close and were going to come back to purchase. Perry insisted he did not mind staying to complete the purchase. We got to the last stage of our purchase and changed our minds on material, and had to start the checkout process again. None of this seemed to annoy Perry and if he was annoyed, he never gave us any indication. Everything was completed 30 minutes after store close.

No pressure sale. Was very patient with us as we had a toodler, and baby with us. They even offered a beverage for me, wife, and toddler. I think they even gave my toodler stickers or colouring book? (I forgot as we visited 12 furniture stores in 4 days with the lil ones) To keep her occupied. Love the leather reclining sofa, and love. So glad my wife convinced me to check out La-Z-Boy. Oh did I mention the delivery crew were super nice, and professional! Not only did they set up the furniture for us, but they took away our old sofa (last minute of course for a fee, make sure you have cash on hand.) but also moved our love seat to another room for no fee! Highly recommend this place!

There was alot of options to choose from as far as fabric and customizable styles, we were able to sit in and try out several different models and found one that perfectly suited our needs. We had excellent service throughout our visit, and a very polite and prompt sales rep. I would definitely come back for other furniture purchases in the future as there was alot of selection for a broad veriety of styles, as well as they have an excellent warranty policy.

They have quality products, knowledgeable, no pressure sales staff and excellent delivery with in home installation of all delivered products. They also have in house interior designers that will make free, full in home consultations on all aspects of interior decor including accessories and wall art. I used each of these services and was pleasantly surprised. The only mishap was a custom covered sofa that arrived instead of the custom covered chaise lounge I had ordered...but the mistake was rectified quickly and my correct piece was delivered within 3 weeks no fuss, no muss. ???????? I have taken my elderly mother there to shop since then and the service has been the very same to date even though we are shopping at another location this time. ????????

We were impressed with La-Z-Boy's service department. Our sofa needed repairs but the pick-up was cancelled due to the pandemic. When La-Z-Boy opened up again they were very prompt about following up and getting our sofa picked up, repaired and returned (within 4 days). I bought a dinning set at this location on Canada Day long weekend. I had bought before furniture from them so when I found the set I liked I decided to order again there. I must say I am very disappointed at their service this time. The sales girl was nice but I think they have huge problems with the manufacturer of the furniture. It is September 29th and during this time I have received separately the table and only four of the six chairs I have ordered. Two of the chairs have different fabric colour and I have no idea when they will be delivered. It feels to me like I am dealing with a cheap furniture store. I will never buy from them again. Tia

Worst costumer service ever. La-Z-Boy is just about ripping off customers and loose their business over $100. We spend over $4,000 for 2 sofas. Once they arrived, they told us there would be a extra charge for delivery fee ($100). In addition, while buying sofas the lady told us she will ask her boss to see if they can waive the pick up fee and let us know in couple of days. But she never called us back and they charged us $50 for picking up our old furniture. I called her up and she said she talked to her boss and she said no but she forgot to call us and let us know. What would you call this?

Veronique was very knowledgeable concerning the sofa that I was shopping for. She explained about how a sofa should fit its occupants and provide head support. She also provided education on what how leather versus fabric will stand up to a pet, especially how a fabric surface will be more resilient to a cat's claws than leather would. She was exceptional on selecting the fabric for the sofa.

The sales people at the South Common location are very nice to deal with up until after the payment. We purchased quite a few pieces of furniture that we were told will be delivered by July and September 2021. Meanwhile they provided us with the loaners. We have been following up on our actual furniture but the sales person has not been returning our calls. We are still waiting.... I would never shop at La-z-Boy again!!! Poor customer service experience: I've been in before in my work attire and have had exceptional service. However today I was jeans to confirm which couch I wanted and not once was I said hi to or even acknowledged. I look young (assuming that is the cause of the problem which isn't acceptable) and when other individuals walked in they were pleasantly greeted and asked if they needed assistance. I was in the store for 20 minutes and am frustrated by the lack of service despite there being 4 salesmen standing together talking and laughing. I will be purchasing my living room set elsewhere.

If you go, do NOT deal with Veronique! She has terrible customer service skills. Nice furniture as one would expect from La-Z-Boy but this place has absolutely atrocious customer service. Do yourself a favor, especially if you're spending big bucks, and go to their other location and give that commission to someone who might actually deserve it.

This location is top notch! Garry Windjack was the sales rep I spoke with about the purchase of a living room set along with a dining room table set and the knowledge and information was excellent! The manager Justin sawa is extremely knowledgeable and more then willing to go over and beyond for the customer and his team aswell!! Just the same over and beyond service Garry provide!! They do not push anything on you don’t pressure you into anything but will inform you of their products. Answer all your questions knowledgeably with no bs. We have been a little slow in writing this review. We purchased a recliner from the South Common store in December. Our experience was extraordinarily positive. Our Sales person was Elizabeth, and both my wife and I were amazed at her professionalism, product knowledge and overall pleasant personality. We visited a couple of times before purchasing and she was always very attentive and patient with all of our questions. Never , ever pushy! When we bought the recliner(on a Thursday) we opted to pick it up (on the next day)at the warehouse. This procedure was also very professional, hassle free and the warehouse staff were extremely helpful. However, when we got it home, unpackaged and assembled ( which was just as easy as Elizabeth promised) we noted a small flaw. We immediately called Elizabeth and described the issue on the phone. Elizabeth immediately arranged for the chair to be picked up and replaced with a new one on the following Monday. Delivery took place as promised and the old recliner taken away. No questions asked. I would very highly recommend La-z-Boy as a company and very strongly urge you to ask for Elizabeth a the South Common Store.

Beware the bait and switch. We chose furniture, fabric and recliner function and ordered—then when it arrived, the fabric and style were correct, but the recliner function didn’t match up with (the more expensive) power features that we thought we bought. I signed the delivery sheet before sitting in them, immediately noticing the error. Their response was to simply deny, then they stopped calling us back. Learn from our mistake and shop elsewhere.

This review is long overdue, but if you're looking for a flawless customer experience purchasing furniture, visit Natasha at La-Z-Boy South Edmonton. Buying an expensive couch is a bewildering experience. So many options, so much to learn, and such a commitment to spend that kind of money on something you're only going to test out for minutes. Natasha made us feel comfortable, informed, and spent a ton of time working with us to ensure we felt confident with our purchase. I've sent multiple people to her and will continue to as long as she's in the business. La-Z-Boy in general is highly recommended as well; spend the money on premium quality and it'll last! And I can't stress this enough, ask for Natasha. She is fantastic.

Have always had a great experience shopping and selecting furniture from this location. On occasion we have had delays on our pieces being received on time (mostly COVID related) by the store. Delivery of pieces once received at the store have always been as scheduled without delay or issues. The delivery staff are awesome! My fiancé and I went in looking for a set of two couches. We were immediately greeted at the door, which, as a customer I really appreciate. Makes it easy to know immediately who can help us if needed. We said we were looking right now for two couches but just want to look around and that we didn't need help right then and thanked them. The sales assistant was very nice and attentive. Telling us where to find more couches. Now the extra info I really liked as the store is massive and I haven't been in more then once before. However, it would have been a nicer experience if they didn't follow us around the whole store. Every turn we took, they were there within 10 to 20 feet. I makes it hard to have an honest conversation with a sales associate within fairly close proximity. It was a bit of an uncomfortable experience. It would have made for a nicer visit if they actually gave more space to the customer and went away and checked back. All in all, very very nice sales associate and did seem to know what they was talking about however giving a little more space to the customer rather then following them would be nicer.
