A good cinema, but it's exactly like every other Cineplex and doesn't have a lot of individuality or charm. Seeing brand new, big name movies here is usually a good experience, and the staff plan for line campers and handle them well. If you like to line camp for the new star wars or marvel movie, this is a good place to do it because it's indoors. They serve a variety of food options that aren't just popcorn and candy (poutine is my new go-to movie snack!) and they also have frozen yogurt. Staff are generally friendly and polite, and the place is generally clean and well maintained. I would like to see a few changes to be more eco friendly. Recycling for cups and popcorn bags, biodegradable straws, that kind of thing. There's no reason in this day and age for a business this large to not pull their weight when it comes to waste reduction.

I don't have any complaints about the service or the food here but the last couple of shows that I had gone to see I usually have to argue with other people because they are sitting in my chairs! After arguing and asking for their tickets they usually move but it is frustrating that people takes your seats and that you have to argue with them

My first thought is to complain they don't do refills of pop and popcorn anymore but.... I would normally not write a review about a theatre, but my 8year old daughter has very very sensitive ears to the point of feeling pain with loud sounds. During the Avengers movie it got super loud and I went to ask if they by any chance had some ear plugs. The ticket girl said she would ask the manager, and they didn't but the manager said he would turn down the volume for the entire theatre! I was so so impressed by this and it really made a difference for my daughter but no one in the theatre noticed (I hope haha). Such great service! And sorry to anyone who noticed the volume was lower????

Just getting too stinking expensive! Used to be able to have a Tuesday date night for under $30. Now, it's at least twice that much, less than a decade later. And they charge through the nose for butter, too! I mean... 50 cents for a skimpy portion, or $1 for barely a "light" coating? Ridiculous legalized robbery. Honestly, I now just wait for movies to go to the Movie Mill (a locally owned, post-premiere theatre), where the prices are much more reasonable, the popcorn doesn't taste like it came from an animal's mouth, and adding butter (not that discussing, oily, "butter flavor topping") is free and, upon request, gratuitous!

We had purchased d-box tickets to the new Star Wars , just to find out that the projector in the theatre with D-box seats had broken down the night before... we had to watch the movie in a mediocre theatre with no D-box seats, it was packed and very uncomfortable... the only reason I didn't give one star is because we got tickets for another D-box showing for future use free....

Great seats to sit in for a movie. I haven't been to a movie for quite some time and was really enjoying how comfortable the seats are. I was perturbed that there are no cashiers, only video screens to pay for my movie. I wonder if you could use cash at this theater to get a ticket or if it's all electronic? The theater was relatively clean although a fair bit of popcorn on the floor when we walked in for a movie 10 minutes before it started. Maybe someone relaxed too hard in their seat and Spilled it. For just over $10 a ticket on a Friday night this is a good place to bring a date.

Movie Mill is far better, and anyone reading this review should support local theatres. They could use like 10-20% more staff, and management really could bring a much better variety of movies to town. Additionally, there was a lack of COVID prevention measures, which is worrisome. All in all a passable experience, but it makes me want a lot more.

Went and caught a movie this weekend. Walked in to theater 6 and it seemed as if someone puked all over the floor. The smell was terrible and ruined the whole experience. Also they need to fix their chairs. Some of them are broken and may cause serious injury to someone in the future.

And even if the staff are specifically instructed to say that, this one could have been more friendly about it. No apology, just shut down. "You can't share cards." Other than that, great experience. My experience was that of no masks being worn by guests, people sitting wherever they pleased despite the layout of seats at the purchase screen indicating sets of 2 seats every few seats for social distancing reasons. Apparently, there are policies NOT stated anywhere on the website that allow full families to sit together.. not wear masks when not eating and pretty much invalidate proper social distancing in the process. Bathrooms same deal, crowded with guys, no masks on. The online ticketing sells you a lie, the pre-movie show advising patrons as to protocols does nothing. No enforcement of safety being witnessed. Honestly, not worth the risk and misleading at time of purchase.

Got to the theatre early, purchased my ticket, had time to pick up a booster juice, to then be told I am not aloud to bring 'outside food' into the theatre. I told the young fellow I purchased the juice inside the shopping complex, to which the manager, standing next to the ticket stub receiver replied with a condescending tone; 'not in my theatre you didn't'. Purely and simply because of the manager's (Jason, as noted on his name tag) extremly rude dimeaner, I will not be back.

The staff walked in front of the screen repeatedly during the movie. They raised the lights and started loudly cleaning and talking on intercoms while the credits were still rolling and I was still watching. Rude in general (I paid for an entire movie, including credits) but especially annoying in a Marvel movie.

Was subjected to a solid 10 minutes of commercials, in addition to the commercials that were already interspersed with the pre-show, and even the TRAILERS, Honestly, save tour money, just wait for the movie to come out on BluRay or streaming. This cinema holds up to the cineplex standard quite well, but lacks it's own individuality. Friendly staff, with standardized concessions. I can reccomend this as the goto lethbridge theater.

Be prepared for expensive treats and beverages. Cinema offers live ballet, theatre, and special broadcast performances throughout the month.

Ok this place needs to be renovated very badly. The chair were not cleaned it was pretty disappointed how bad shape this place is. I would recommend that if you can wait for the movie to go to the movie. I would wait. Plus they also changed the size of the drinks. So you the same but you get a lot less disappointing all the way.

Overall pretty good, only a few small complaints. Seems like the theaters need to be updated given how big the screens are and how comfy the chairs are in other Cineplex theaters. Especially if they're charging the same price. Also, in the theater we were in the audio sounded tinny at times, especially voices.

At this time Galaxy Cinemas require proof of vaccination to enter, and they require one empty chair between groups of people in the theater as part of their COVID protocol. Ticket prices on Tuesdays are very reasonable!

Good seats, good treats and good movie selection. Only negative was their Scene points machines werent working properly so we couldnt use or collect them. Also, theh should rethink how they advertise their popcorn and drinks so that if you dont want an advertised combo you have more than 2 seconds to read the options at the bottome of the screen before they disappear again.

I am a major fan of going to the movies and have been attending Galaxy Cinema Lethbridge at least once a week (sometimes as much as three times) for the past ten years. In this time i have always received courteous and friendly service from their staff. On one occassion, my wife and I were unable to watch our movie due to cancellation. The management not only refunded our tickets but also gave us vouchers for free concessions to replace the ones we had purchased. I also attend other theaters when I travel and I must say this theater and its entire staff are definitely among my favorite. Cudos to all of you!

Kyle, Randy, Elijah, and Madison were incredible. They were kind, patient, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our experience positively memorable and ìnviting. This theatre is clearly accessible as we had two people with Access Passes, a senior with a medical condition, and five people with "invisible" disabilities such as brain injuries. We were so impressed how kind and dignified we were all treated. There was a level of respect for us all that we rarely experience. Elijah was incredibly patient while people switched their orders, added random items, needed help understanding seating map, and asked many questions. We do suggest offering reusable straws for sale for people who have a hard time using cardboard straws.

This theatre and the movie mill are almost identical for ticket price except for Tuesday and 3d movies. Tuesday is cheap movie night at movie mill, galaxy does not offer this. Popcorn is about $3 mire expensive and you have to pay for a refill. There's more newer movies and more movies to choose from at galaxy. The arcade is also bigger. Havent tried any of the food besides the frozen yogurt which was pricy but large enough to share between 3 kids. If you want newer movies go here. Otherwise just wait til they come to movie mill.

Came 1/2 before the begining of the show and waited in a line to get in after buying tickets for the family, found 3 spots empty but the people beside them claim to be saving them even it is recommended not to do so, one of them call the manager who ask us to leave, unfair treatment and discrimination against a customer who pays for entrance and comes early, preference was given to people who wasn't even in the teatre, while all of this happened the people they were "waiting for"never showed up, worse experience for my wife and 10 year old son

We went here as a family with our son and 14 month old daughter. We wanted to try going as a family to the afternoon showing of a children's film, but after the first half of the movie our daughter just wanted to walk around. We ended up switching off outside of the theater with her. The manager came up to me after the movie and gave me a free movie pass to come again, even though I assured him that we didn't need one (as it was our fault for bringing a toddler to the movies). He was very friendly and we were so grateful for his kindness. The only downfall of cineplex theatres is that the prices are quite expensive (Hint:Buy the movie passes at costco for a reduced cost).

Overpriced concession, bad deep fried foods. Stick to froyo and tea. Manatees are usually empty. I came here almost a decade ago to watch: "Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny" and was one of two people in the theater. The other guy smoked a joint halfway through in the middle of the theater. One of my favourite movie memories. Doesn't always seem to pick the best first run movies sometimes. There's an arcade that looks p cool, used to be more shooting games back in my day but it lights up a bunch more now. Galaxy cinema promotions are usually terrible. Something about holding on to your ticket to get the opportunity to rent or buy the full movie in a download from the Galaxy servers? It's like netflix, only if only contained movies you literally immediately watched and was able to attach your physical identity to your isp. Not strictly valuable to them, but definitely valuable to another company/individual. What is it with movie and video game makers increasingly begging us for money, only to try to turn us into a product after we pay them? Why is a movie theater financing god damn credit cards? You couldn't trust equifax, a massive multi billion dollar financial credit institution with American federal government protection to stay on top of the hackers, but god damn cineplex odeon certainly will handle it as well as they handle people sneaking cheap snacks from the vending machine out front into the theater (My pal Fred once snuck in an entire DQ banana split undetected.) or maybe they stand up defiantly to these hackers, like they did when North Korea threaten to hack them because of a Seth Rogan movie and they totally rolled over and gave up. Obviously a sign they are prepared for a cyber attack on the millions of identities they protect from attack. Besides, all the big budget movies suck these days anyway. I bet Jurassic Park really works out this time. Everything goes smoothly. This is it guys, I can feel it.
