Larkin Mortuary is fabulous! My parents have 90% of the funeral arrangements taken care of, so I didn't think too much about what was needed, the staff was very helpful in verifying what was already done, and helping me and my family prepare for the service, gave great advise about what to expect, and helped us with closing out accounts to protect our loved ones and ourselves. They are patient and kind, even when you ask the same question several times. The staff make a challenging, difficult time, peaceful and pleasant.

We lost two family members recently just a month apart. Hyrum is just amazing. I appreciate that he was direct along with a wonderful bedside manor. Every detail was thought through and everyone from Larkin is warm. After spending so many hours with so many people they really care. Even at 3AM they were empathetic and caring. They left a rose and a thoughtful note in my Grandma's bed. Very touching. Larkin took care of the military funeral honors for my brother and some of the benefits.

Inconsiderate. They remove your wreaths and throw them away. There is no one to talk to. They won’t give you a schedule so that you can remove them. Throw them away even if they are expensive. Really don’t use this mortuary. I have used them for every person in my family my whole life. Never again.

I'm grateful my father and step-mom made arrangements for their end of life services ahead of time. We knew their wishes and, when the sad time came, we were able to follow though with those wishes. I'm not from Utah and had never visited Larkin until our step-mom's memorial service at Larkin Sunset Lawn. The facility is very nice. Within a few months, we were back, grieving another loss. In every experience with the staff at Larkin Mortuary, I felt a genuine sense of caring about OUR family. There are SO MANY details to consider after a loved one dies and my sister and I felt supported by thoughtful, helpful, and patient staff members. With most of the decisions for cremation and burial already in place, we had less 'business' to attend to. Thank you to Truc and Hannah as well as other members of the team!

,They very respectfully picked up Dad's body from his home, and even honored him with an American flag when we mentioned he had served in WWll & Korea, before they took him We we're blessed to have the last large(although family only-still 150) funeral before tighter restrictions and it was beautifully set and taken care of there and at the grave-sight. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with Larkin when my husband passed. They were wonderful not only with listening to me, but really attending to my young children's needs. They have checked in with our family several times since the service to make sure we are doing OK. I just received some urn necklaces that had been on back order for several months and I made 1 phone call to Larkin to ask for their help and they dropped everything to have me come in and fill them for me free of charge. Everyone I have spoken to or emailed has been so endearing and warm to me. The best business I have worked with in such a horrible time in my life. So grateful to have chosen Larkin.

How does one write a review about and experience that is coupled with tremendous loss and grief? The best way I can rationalize it in my head is that inevitably, we all will be charged with helping to plan or plan ourselves the funeral services for someone we love. In that event, because the experience is so painful and difficult, it’s imperative you surround yourself with a team that is exceptional, relieving the bulk of the stress from you and allowing you to be in the moment and not worrying about details. Larkin Mortuary was a name I knew well as they had handled my grandfather’s funeral in the 90’s. They were immediately who I thought of when my mother passed away; it was a tender time. She had lost a valiant fight with cancer and was gone too soon. Nonetheless, from the moment my husband, sister and I walked in the door of Larkin and were greeted by Truc Tran, the burden of planning my mom’s funeral felt physically lighter. Truc is as warm, friendly, and dynamic as anyone can be as a funeral director. She balanced perfectly the tsk of being cheerful but respectful of the situation. She was beyond knowledgeable and guided us seamlessly from choice to choice - even advising us on where to save money and where to consider spending it. The whole process was pleasant, fast and efficient. The following days, involving sensitive things like preparing my mother’s body and so on, were handled with the same efficiency and respect as day one. When we noticed mistakes we’d made in the obituary and program, Truc and Hannah immediately made corrections and assured us it wasn’t a bother. The day of the funeral came and every second was perfect. In many ways, Larkin was like having a wedding planner at tour wedding who runs around behind the scenes making sure you’re never aware of a single hiccup or concern. I can’t recommend them highly enough; on the even you are faced with a funeral preparation, they seem to be the gold standard.

All communications in regards to the service they provided, was professional and and personalized, making sure we were doing ok and if there was anything else they could do for us.
