Paws were poorly done and it seemed as if there was no attempt made. The bag was too big compared to our animal. We felt as if our animal was irrevlant, and meant absolutly nothing to this company. Our animals name was mis-spelt, and we are very dissapointed in the service. Unacceptable.

Local Solutions

Was hesitant at first based on others reviews but found the opposite when I called and spoke. Was asked all the necessary questions in a professional manner. Despite the difficult time of losing a loved one, I never felt pressured or rushed. Service was prompt and accurate, fee's were reasonable, and intake process professional.

I had a wonderful experience at such a difficult time. Alan was very professional, friendly, and overall, extremely helpful. I have gotten 3 pets cremated at Dovenshire and cannot complain with the service. Not everyone is met for such a difficult and heartbreaking job, but Alan provides a tremendous sincere service. Will definitely reuse this service in the future. ALSO, for those complaining about the place being cold -- he has dead animals within the building ... HEAT = SMELL.

We recently had our geriatric dog cremated. We were treated with respect and dog remains were returned to us in a beautiful wooden urn. Anyone who owns a beloved pet understands that it is a family member and the grief is real. Thanks for professional service.

I had a taxi bring my precious Dragon into Devonshire and they were so nice, they gave me a phone call when she was picked up and on her way home as well. She was even sent back in a nice Papier-mâché like Urn. I would defiantly recommend them for anyone who wants to keep their little fur/scale/feather children with them forever.

Paid $260 to get my pets ashes in a Ziploc bag. For that price you'd think it would be something a little more classy. Not to mention I was under the impression I was getting a paw print as well but no. Nothing.

The guy is fine. He is not cold, he is a professional. I understand that when experiencing a loss, that for a brief period you can only see your life through that lens. It taints your every interaction. But cut the guy a break. Death of animals is a daily reality for him and it requires a certain fortitude that frankly I do not have.

Tried twice to get quotes from them... they don't seem to have a set price list for services, nor are they professional in their correspondence. They did not return phone calls, but instead sent a text message (and failed to answer simple questions, i.e., expected cost)... Not professional.

Brought my friends cat couple yrs ago and the place was unwelcoming, cold, dirty, and found that the person who was there, who by the way, had to wait for him to show up.... was cold.

Always have had a great experience with Devonshire , over 6 Newfs and as many cats . Always picks up our babies at the vet and takes good care . I haven't been inside as my husband always goes . Not sure why people expect it to be warm . We are do grateful to have this service at such a difficult time . Thank you .

I have had 5 & now recently a 6th Fur baby Cremated At DEVONSHIRE I have never had any issues or concerns . Allans services has always been professional . I HAVE BEEN USING DEVONSHIRE FOR 11 YRS NOW AND WILL CONTINUE TO PUT MY TRUST IN THEM AT A VERY DIFFICULT TIME IN MY LIFE .

Devonshire made the very difficult process of unexpectedly losing my kitten a little bit easier. The veterinary office organized for them to collect her remains, which they did the very next morning. A few days later I was in contact with Devonshire, and we set up a time for me to collect her ashes. I appreciated that I didn't need to communicate with them in the immediate aftermath of my kitten's passing - they did everything on their own in conjunction with the veterinary office. This allowed me some time to grieve a bit before dealing with the rest of the details. I found the man, who I presume is one of the owners, to be very professional and kind. He asked me about my pet and what happened, and I showed him some pictures of her from happier times. He did spell her name correctly (as some previous reviews remarked on this), even though it is a rare Persian name and easily misspelled! I wanted to write this review because the negative reviews here caused me anxiety at the beginning of this process, as I worried my pet would not be treated with dignity and respect. I did end up having a good experience though, and so hope that this review will calm anyone who may be going through something similar in the future.
