During a time when you are going through the most heart-wrenching moments in life, I would not wish for anyone to experience what it was like, to have to let go of someone we love, at this funeral home. The death was treated as a normal event, and something to plan simply without recognition or care for the family. Passing jokes or handling the death nonchalantly is definitely not an ideal form of customer service when experiencing such a life-transforming series of decisions and goodbyes.

Creepy ... floors shake ... I much prefer williams funeral home (less morbid)... I dont think the funeral director should be peering around corners creepily & bothering you every 5 mins with inane questions that could probably wait ...

Whereas the review on Sifton Funeral Home that you posted 3 months ago is a town you have probably never even heard of before now. Perhaps be a little more careful before you post a review on a small-town business that you have mistaken for another business.

When we had to make the funeral arrangements for my Dad last June, Brent and his staff were all so very helpful and compassionate. We met with Brent on Canada Day (he gave up his holiday) and he very gently guided us along to arrange the visitation and service. Because of a very tight time line, he had to do many extra things very quickly and ensured that everything was looked after. All the extra- special touches that he added were greatly appreciated. He and his staff were available throughout the visitation if we needed anything (and we did) and they always handled themselves professionally and with great compassion. After the service, Brent delivered floral arrangements himself to local facilities for us. Laura had all the paperwork ready for us so we could contact government agencies, etc. regarding my Dad's passing- this was extremely helpful. Brent updated us every few days with and new donations received and email condolences. During this difficult time, we certainly appreciated Brent's empathy, care and concern for our family.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I actually reported them to the Funeral Home college of funeral directors. I had my father moved from here to Williams. This was many years ago but from reading reviews and talking to locals not much has changed. I also attended a funeral there and the sibling of the deceased was pressured to hurry with her good byes. Brent was rude, unpleasant and in general a very unpleasant encounter. Avoid at all costs. I noticed one bad review they replied they didn’t do the funeral! They likely will say that to me. So happy I had him moved to Williams.

Not only is a funeral a tough time for everyone involved; this funeral home made it so much worse. This was absolutely the worst funeral home I have ever been to. It was very unorganized, plans were sti being made during the service. I know it is covid times but, the funeral director didn't even want to allow two brothers to sit together. He was constantly separating family members that were trying to talk, grieve and tell stories of the deceased even though everyone was wearing a mask. I was at a funeral a few weeks prior at another St. thomas funeral home and it was as pleasant as any funeral can. Hopefully I don't ever have to celebrate the life of someone at this funeral home again.
