My husband placed a call to A. Millard George Funeral Home while my Mom was in palliative care as we needed to begin the difficult process of making plans. Kelly was very caring and sympathetic as she explained the process and reiterated that they would be ‘ready’ when we were. A few days later when we had to call for their services, they were indeed ‘ready’. During our initial meeting, we met Dave who was professional, helpful and compassionate and made the emotional process as easy as it could be. For that, we are very grateful. We knew Mom was in the very best of hands. We HIGHLY recommend Dave and fellow staff at A. Millard George Funeral Home.

Your team did an incredible job of bringing back the mother we knew and loved. Her hair and makeup were spot on and she truly looked beautiful. Under normal circumstances, I would find it odd writing a review for a funeral home. Sadly, over the past year, I have lost my mother and my aunt. Both took their final journeys through the halls of A. Millard George Funeral Home. Words cannot express how the staff care for the recently reposed as well as their families. I felt sincere compassion and care from everyone I dealt with in ensuring all of our wishes were addressed. Both my mother and aunt had pre-planned their final wishes and even to that end, AMG was thorough and covered every step of the process. No one likes to talk about this aspect of our inevitable time on this earth however if it is in your considerations and you are reading these reviews, I could not offer more of a recommendation for these people and how they work. To call the team here sincere, helpful and professional would be an understatement. Our family has made final preparations through AMG for many members who have passed. However, when we lost my father very suddenly, the entire team stepped forward to help us make the very best of an extremely difficult situation. Everyone was incredibly helpful in both guiding us through the process and doing their very best to accommodate any request or concerns we had. The staff were all warm, respectful and extremely patient as our family navigated one of the most fraught times of our lives. A. Millard George from here on has my strongest recommendation for anyone looking to make preparations for their self or a loved one.

Our pre-arranged funeral preparations, funeral service and post-funeral, catered reception for Peter Tilburg was all done very professionally by the caring and accommodating directors, led by Kelly. Peter was a wonderful 93 year old man and everything was a true tribute to him and his Godly life he led. I had the opportunity to help my sister plan her funeral. We met with Debbie a few times over the years and she was great. She was very professional and compassionate and guided us through everything my sister wanted. After a 10 year battle with cancer, my sister passed in December and AMG staff were there every step of the way. The receptionist, Jenn, answered all my calls with kindness (and patience). They made the experience easier even with all the COVID restrictions.

Very poor service the people at the front desk was rude did not even greet you or guide you to the room u needed to be in most of the time they were on the computer. There was really no chairs to sit on in the room we asked for a few extra they said we could only give you two when they brought them in not only did they have Attitude about it but they slammed them down. There also was no lounge to really sit with family and friends to have coffee or just talk. I can honestly say this is the worst Funeral home I’ve ever been into Specially for a little girl funeral you would think they would have more compassion for the family on the loss of there loved one but not this funeral home I would never recommend this funeral home to anyone.

Hello This funeral home was the worst one I ever been in..No greeter at door to tell you what room...no chairs to sit when asked to bring in more we got attude and they slammed the chair down.no where out of that room do you have a room to sit with other family member..We came from out of town and had to stand was so wrong

Please read my update at the bottom of this post on this matter it has def changed my rating and thoughts on this funeral home ....Thank you Dave poor service for a little girls funeral, grieving parents got no support from this home. They was no compassion for them or any people that come in. And when the parents confronted them on there lack of compassion they where told if they mention another thing they would be asked to leave ! Really thats their baby in there and you couldnt work around that mother sitting in your hallway out of the way i might add. No place to sit in her room besides some chairs against the wall, no where for family to take a break and have a coffee as we where told they dont have anywhere but that room to go! Greeters at door where rude and just stated that way ????and not Hi or any compassion in there voice. Room needed updates and they def didnt make up this room and add any extra touches thats foresure for a little girls funeral besides pics family brought in. These parents went off a phone call to pick this home and knew nothing about making funeral arrangements let alone for there 10 yr old daughter who passed suddenly and because the woman was great with them on phone they chose this place but man was that a big mistake. But would like to say thank you to the 2 girls that where great and of all the rest the employees should be ashamed of themselves ******UPDATE....nov 6***** I would like to thank Dave for his quick response on this matter and taking his time to reply to me and to call this family personally with there concerns. It was a very emotional time and Just to know you have listened to us means alot to this family. The call you made to them personnally has now brought some comfort to them knowing there little girl was in the right place and in the hands of a truly caring person. So thank you again Dave for your compassion. Also to Kelly and Danielle.

Dave please read my update on your response to my review at the bottom of my review Thank you. Kelly has the compassion needed to work at a funeral home she was great I only wish she could of been there for our visititation for my granddaughter. Because it was very hard for my daughter in-law to see her 10 year old baby girl in a casket and went to the lobby to sit I was told she could not sit there and it was not like there was anyone else being laid out there. She was forced to face that deforestation the whole time. My son was dealing with the greatest loss of his whole life AMG theatened to remove him. My 72 year old aunt made the trip from Windsor to show support for her family and asked for a chair to be able to sit down the staff actually SLAMMED the chair down on the floor in front of her. If AMG funeral home went on Families First funeral homes web site they would see just how a funeral home should present itself and how they go out of there way to make EVERY family feel comfortable and each and every guest as well. All staff at AMG should follow Kellys lead for she knows how to treat every one with compassion and respect. What a great example she is of goodness and compassion. Update I would like to express my appreciation to the owner of AMG for responding to my resent review and giving his apologies they are greatly appreciated. I believe this type of thing will not happen to another family because you have showed me you care about peoples feelings, that they really do matter to you. I want to thank you so much for reaching out to my son and daughter in law the beautiful gesture you presented is above and beyond you have shown much class Again Thank You so much and God Bless.
