It was my mom's wish for us to use Alternatives and I'm happy that we did. The company was professional and top notch. We dealt with Brent and he was very helpful and accommodating with our every request. My only wish with using this company, was that I wish they'd had a place or room that we could have rented for an additional fee to hold the service. My mom was not religious so we didn't want a church service. We had to do some scrambling to find a hall, and in wedding season, that's not easy. I would have been willing to pay a little extra to not have to search for a place with comfortable chairs, a podium, TV and sound system ready to go. Other than that they have very reasonable rates and I recommend them 100%.

Kevin Almassy at Alternatives helped me get through a very tough week of dealing with my father's sudden passing. From the initial phone call to get some basic info, I felt comfortable with leaving the care of my dad in his hands. He was very kind and patient and did not pressure me in any way or try to sell me unnecessary things. After another funeral home had picked up my father's body from the hospital without being authorized to do so, Alternatives went and retrieved him and assured me every step of the way. For anyone going through the loss of a loved one, I cannot recommend Alternatives enough. From the initial phone consultation to the writing of the obituary, I am very thankful for all of Kevin and Brent's help every step of the way.

I was worried and nervous about the new experience i have to deal with in death. Upon entering Alternatives Funeral Home, i instantly felt better. They have a cozy environment and unlike any funeral home i have ever seen, there was no religious furnishings or music. This helped me alot mentally to not be bombarded with something that myself nor my deceased friend believed in. Kevin is truly a great person, and very helpful in anything i needed. They offer different options that no other funeral home could. They are the most reasonable cost for what you want in the area by far. Kevin is a caring person and will make sure he can help you in any way that you need. They don't have hidden costs and will not charge you for what you dont need.
