Everything was great . Well as great as things could be. They explained everything, paper work in order etc. My only complaint was they did not let us know about their lounge. Lots of older folks that would of enjoyed a lunch. All good . Thanks folks

On November 2, 2019, my family and I travelled from Brampton to this place and paid our last respects to a preacher's mother. There are things that are unforgettable with this experience. Firstly, I really like the setup in the public washroom. Whoever design it, adding oral hygiene liquid, is a genius! Secondly, the staff seem professional by welcoming people and directing them, speaking in a calm and pleasant tone. Thirdly, the service was really good. It was well organized, along with a lot of music ????. Thanks!

The staff at McDougall & Brown made what was undoubtedly the hardest week of our lives, quite a bit easier. They were respectful and incredibly patient & helpful throughout the entire process following the passing of my Dad. Aurum was a great help throughout the main appointment. Amy, Brad, and Kristen G. were all incredible helpful after the fact any time we called back for any follow ups or clarification. We appreciate the kindness and compassion shown by the team. Well it is hard to write a review of a funeral home, I am compelled to write one about McDougall & Brown @ the Scarborough Chapel. When my Mum passed away a few weeks ago, we needed to put her to rest. We visited several in the area and settled on this one because of the service and compassionate staff. We had the funeral at the chapel and they took care of all the arrangements that were needed. Cathy Cowley assisted us and she was truly amazing! Though not the least expensive, in a time like this you need a team that can help you through this difficult process. I would highly recommend.

The Caretakers at this home are dishonest, unreliable, and had the nerve to lie to members of our family. McDougall and Brown lied to the our family telling us grandma was not in there care, when they had her body for the last 24 hrs. They lied to accommidate one daughter's wishes. My Grandmother had 4 children and their 4 spouses, 8 grandchildren and their 8 spouses, and 8 great grandchildren. They lied right to our face and said that my grandmother was not in there care to accommidate one persons wishes. Mcdougall and Brown have no morals or integrity, they don't care about the families. I would never recommand this funeral home to anyone.

Could have been happier. Although we had an appointment to go over my mother's funeral plans. we were kept waiting for something like half an hour. We had been expecting quick in-and-out, but you need to allow a lot of time as there is considerable paperwork to go through. Also, although my mother had bought a cremation package and was led to believe that everything was in place, we were told the actual cremation was not part of the package (!) and would be charged separately. This looks very much like a scam. On the plus side, the actual staff are excellent and probably have no option but to support this questionable bait and gouge technique. If you buy a package from Arbor, read it very carefully!

My Father was buried 3 years ago and this funeral home can't tell me why his Headstone hasn't been placed. I've called several times and not once has anybody followed up. I remember speaking with someone at the funeral home and they admitted to not having his headstone placed over 1 1/2 years after he was buried. Update: I was able to get assistance finally last year.

After my mother passed away we were in search of a funeral home for my mother’s cremation and memorial service (none of us had done this before). After we viewed several homes in the area we decided on McDougall and Brown and did we ever make the right choice! The venue is airy, warm and elegant in a very pleasant setting with plenty of parking and very well maintained! The staff are amazing and plentiful and greeted us with warmth and compassion on every phone call and visit. Instead of a traditional funeral we held a non-traditional Celebration of Life and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful in managing our requests. This is a very professionally run home and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I would highly recommend McDougall and Brown I had never had to do this before. We were treated with the most respect and compassion with my moms funeral Our funeral director Carley was amazing truly caring and genuine. 100 percent The staff was extremely accommodating from the time we walked in the door until we left the cemetery .
