The grave was a mess

Peaceful and serene little war veterans’ cemetery. Well kept and maintained. A neat place to visit, and it is in a unique location (the midst of the Gorge Vale Golf Course. Watch thine head for golf balls as you drive across the golf course to get to it.

This is a small vetetan's cemetery surrounded be Gorge Vale Golf Course. Access is via a service road off Colville Road in Esquimalt. The cemetery is currently going through extensive upgrading which includes new paved roads, pedestrian paths and a service building with a public washroom, and a new columbarium section which will increase cremation interment capacity greatly. Rather disorganized and difficult for visitors at the moment, but work should be finished by the end of 2019.

Quiet, generally well-kept grounds with a lot of history, including a very old multi-faith church (it was never consecrated, if I remember right). Recently underwent construction to add an expansion plus the new Veterans Memorial Wall, which are both lovely.
