They made a drawing for us that was great but i wanted it large enough to put both mine and my husbands complete birthdates on it. So they did a larger drawing that was just what I wanted. On July 26, 2019 our beloved dog passed away. I wanted a grave marker to place in our memorial garden. I found plenty of options on-line out of the U.S.A, but almost nothing available in Canada. I sent an email out to numerous Memorial/Monumental companies in BC and Ontario, that create grave markers for humans, asking if they would kindly create a grave marker for a pet. Only one company responded to my request and that was from Stewart Monumental Works in Victoria. In fact, Rob responded to my email in only a couple of days and actually called me! Although creating grave markers for pets was not something they normally crafted, he requested what I was looking for and said that he would look into it. A couple of days later Luke called me and said that they would look for a good piece of spare granite (2 1/2 ft long x 3 in thick) and engrave it for us. In very short order our grave marker was completed and we picked it up in Victoria (we live in Nanaimo). I was initially delighted just to receive a response (especially a phone call) following all the email requests I had sent. (By the way, I never did receive a response of any sort from the other companies). It was such a pleasure doing business with this attentive, compassionate and most professional company and their employees. Very kind of them to respond and particularly kind of them to take the time to craft our extremely well crafted grave marker. I tried to attach a picture of the grave marker but it didn't work and I am sorry about that. I will forever be grateful. Diana

SMW did a fine job in producing a flat gravestone in granite on which ten of my family members were remembered. All planning was done on-line, with me sending a draft in WORD and SMW sending back it's version, with options for type of stone and configuration of text. We went back and forth a couple of times, fine-tuning the font and justifications. I have just returned from the burial park where the stone has been laid, and it is flawless. The cost was very reasonable, too. My family will be very pleased to see this fine work when we gather there as a group to remember our loved ones.
