A fantastic place for a stroll. The cemetery is full of Victorian history, and only a guided tour can really do it justice. Even on your own though, it's very cool to stroll and marvel at the old headstones.

As far as cemeteries goes, this one is nice I guess. I'm not sure how to review a graveyard, really. Comfort? Style? Taste? I guess if I wasn't alive anymore I'd enjoy this spot as much as the next dead guy.

Ross Bay Cemetery...currently home to a very enthusiastic family of crows and ravens..is an arboretum, filled with a wide variety of trees and shrubs from around the globe...is historically significant to the development of British Columbia and showcases Victorian era heritage funerary memorial monuments...laid to rest here include dignitaries, artists, authors, pioneers, labourers, the rich, the poor, the famous and not so famous of our province, to the earliest of Hudson's Bay Company chief factors. Locals like myself stroll through this park-like setting regularly on our way down to the Dallas Road scenic route, a favourite for those who take in the sea views and invigorating sea breezes...truly a place of meditation and remembrance.

This 19th century cemetery has amazing headstones, and beautiful trees. They do tours every Sunday leaving at 2 from the Plaza across the street. Cost is minimal and they tell you great stories about people buried in the cemetery. Keep an eye out for Emily Carr's grave too!

My Great grandfather George Knight and Great Grandmother Emily Knight are buried here but unfortunately we could not find them. I wish there was some kind of directory posted. What a great location right next to the ocean and beautiful trees. Bonus I seen 4 baby deer walking around the cemetery which I took a picture of and posted it here too.

Even after traveling a lot, I still think that this is one of the most beautiful graveyards in the world. There are several famous graves here, including Emily Carr, founders of Victoria, and Billy Barker. There are two doors of this graveyard, but it is pleasant to just wander around here on one's own. It has several different entrance points. There is a bathroom at one corner of the graveyard (on the corner of Memorial and Dallas). It is located right by Ross Bay, which has a beautiful beach for strolling on. Some of the paths are paved, but other areas are more difficult to walk on or take a baby carriage through.

Perhaps the oldest boneyard on the island. It's quite beautiful in the summer and well located near the sea.

Beautiful and well maintained old cemetery containing the graves of many historical persons of British Columbia. If you are here for Emily Carr's grave, the location is Block H, Plot 85, E 15.

Very beautiful and peaceful cemetery. Full of history, natural beauty and wildlife. I love coming here for walks, bike rides, sketching or just some quiet time to myself to think. It's so serene and well kept. Definitely worth a stop if you find cemeteries interesting or want to get some unique tombstone rubbings!
