Mr. Devlin was away, and so someone else was running the show when my parent passed away...Parent died thanksgiving time, and when we were given the ashes it was like she had been cremated before we gave the go ahead (date on box)..The fella changed the date on the box as we sat in the office...made me go hmmmmm. But when other parent passed on, Mr.Devlin handled it all well for us...

After my mother passed away, I went to view her body for the last time at Devlin. I went with a friend who was there for support. After entering the private room to say my farewells to my mother, I was constantly bothered by the voice of the owner of Devlin. He felt it was the right time to strike up conversation with my friend in his office, discussing things that I guess he felt were important to discuss while I said my last farewell to my mother's body. Not only was he choosing to talk, but he was even giggle about what ever it was he was talking about. You'd think someone in this field would be a little smarter and at least close the door, or step outside so as not to disturb someone saying farewell to their mother. I was furious and disgusted by this behavior but didn't have the nerve to discuss it with him for I was grieving heavily. I have been reluctant to write this review for the last two years since we are in a small community, but today I felt it was time to let it out... It's his to hold, not mine. If ever the owner reads this, please be smart, and just don't do that. Please let people have their final farewell in silence. The last thing someone wants is to have the reminiscence of your giggling voice associated with their goodbye to their mother, or someone of similar closeness, and all at a hefty price of nearly three thousand dollars. I'd say that's pretty poor customer service.

During a terrible time in my life I was shown care, compassion and very good service. If you do compare prices you will find that with Devlin you are getting a good price. I highly recommend them.
