I went to two different funeral homes to look for the right urn for my father. It's a special thing, and my family was treated very well by both. I called this location and was greeted by the owner who was rude and questioned why I would go in and look at the urns at this funeral home. Why wouldn't I choose the one I went with, he asked. He said that no one would help us if we came in. I cannot believe how disrespectful he was in a time of mourning. Of course, I am going to look at different places for something so special to my family. I hope no one chooses this funeral home because they don't care about people; they only care about the money. I recommend the Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth, IL. They treated my family with respect. Reply: There was no misinterpretation of words. I explained the situation. He understood and I understood. He said that I can come in but no one was going to help us or show us anything. His exact words were "We are not going to help you though." They would only give us a catalogue to look at. Instead of twisting things around in your head, you should just apologize and leave it at that.

Positives: Beautiful Facility Negatives: Not one kind, empathetic, professional person on their staff. We recently held a funeral for my cousin who passed suddenly and it was very difficult to communicate with the staff. Even when we were there in person it seemed they never had time to answer any questions, but they did have time to take our check. They were very insensitive and for a funeral home you would expect much different. I will never hold a service here again. I know they are family owned but they better hire some employees that are a bit more empathetic and kind to their customers or their business wont be around much longer.

Beware, listed prices have doubled over 3 years. Visitation and Cremation prices jumped over 100% from a funeral held here for my family 36 months ago. Received horrible service from Bog Gal, unprofessional with no email communication after sending three emails. Stay away.

This is a beautiful funeral home. I went to cremate my doggie Bugsy and the gentleman who took care of me was more than nice. I really love that they do private cremation. And I knew Bugsy was in the hands of an angel. He was the sweetest most compassionate person. I'm really happy I took Bugsy to this establishment.
