DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was most disappointed with the escalation in fees when I went to settle the account. I was originally quoted $4,100.98 for a basic cremation, which included taxes. We added a 15min family visitation immediately before cremation. I was told that this would cost an extra $65.00. When I arrived at the Lesmill location, I was handed an invoice for $4,842.10. They also said that they mailed the death certificates. It's been 2 weeks now and I haven't received the mailed ones. I insisted that they send a second package by courier. I now have to worry about identity theft, if the original package does not show up. This was not a simple alternative.

My mother passed away in 2012. We were very pleased with the service and attention we received at this funeral home. In 2014 we needed additional certificates for the death and cremation, and Simple Alternative was co-operative and friendly.
