We just completed the funeral services for our mother/mother-in-law today and even though we are devastated with our loss, we would like to let everyone know about our experience. From the time we called Bernado Funeral home we were treated like family with respect, compassion and professionalism. Each and every staff member at Bernardo's went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way imaginable including the owners Domenic Ferro and Gianpaulo Bernardo. We will recommend Bernardo Funeral home to everyone we know with confidence. Thanks so very much guys! We lost a close family member today, but gained a whole new family at Bernardo's! Very respectful and compassionate staff. From start to finish they were not only professional but were with us every step of the way. Dominic particularly went above and beyond to make sure my nonna was respected in every way. All the staff was incredibly professional, kind and compassionate. I wish I knew all your names to thank you personally. My family and all visitors were cared for with water, kleenex and personelle to make sure we did not want for anything. I highly recommend Bernardo Funeral Home as we could not have asked for more respect, professionalism or compassion during such an incredibly difficult time.

Being the Assurant Life of Canada (ALOC) Representative, who setup the funeral insurance program at these two locations, I highly recommend BFH for BOTH preneed and atneed customers. BFH provides exemplary service for atneed customers while yours truly provide referrable customer servicing (always with an extra mile) for the preneed customers who prefer to have funeral insurance in place. It's the best of both worlds' services -- atneed and preneed through ALOC -- at the BFH to customers who prefer to have both satisfaction and true peace of mind. I don’t know where to begin my gratitude so I will just share a few highlights and hope you will get a small snap shot of his heart. The nightmare began for me June 5, 2020 when I lost my 101 year old mom to COVID 19 and 3 minutes later lost my 90 year old dad. I was devastated and needed a “Strong man” an angel. Because of the suddenness of my parents passing there was not time for research and so I choose large corporate funeral home but when we got there the hard sell pressure time just made everything feel so wrong. Well I got out of there as quickly as I could. That very hour I call Bernardo Funeral Homes Ltd. 855 Albion Road, and spoke with Gabriel. He told me not to worry he would walk with me. My sister went to see him the next day and true to his word he took care of everything. He didn’t try to pressure me or nickel and dime me. In fact he went above and beyond my expectations. He set up a virtual room for the funeral so those who could not attend could watch live. We had a death in our family back in April, and after going to a few places we went to Bernardo's Funeral Home on Dufferin Street, as hard of a time it was for us, it was also the most pleasant and peace of mind time for us, as the staff at Bernardo Funeral Home gave us the peace of mind and we felt that we were amongst family, they are so caring and so understanding of our loss and needs, they were amazing, we were assisted by Jeremy who was so professional and courteous beyond words, he was kind and very sensitive to our time of need. First I would like to thank all the staff at Bernardo's Funeral Home (Dufferin) for the wonderful service they provided my family and I for my dad's funeral (Virginio Bizarro), From the start of pre-arranging a few weeks before my dad passed away with Domenic to the very end of completing services with Chris. Domenic not only made sure that we where extremity happy and comfortable during a tragic time he also treated us like family. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had every wish, every decision in place. The staff was very warming with myself and my family since the very start, they where compassionate, caring and very loving. They made sure my mother was treated with love and respect in the passing of my father and Chris went above and beyond to take care of her at the cemetery. Going back to do the aftercare with Chris, we where still treated with respect and compassion, Domenic was around and still made sure to come and speak with myself and my mom treating us not like a customer but like part of their family owned business. Very professional and compassionate staff. Made a very difficult situation a little easier. This is the first time I have ever had to make any funeral arrangements and they were wonderful. You hear stories of being pressured to purchase things which you don't really need but there was none of that. Everyone we dealt with at the Dufferin location was great. They also made dealing with all the paperwork easier and provided a checklist of things we should think about taking care of after my father's passing. There isn't one negative thing that I can say about anyone that we came in contact with there.
