First of all, I never thought I would be writing a Google review for a funeral home, but my Dad recently passed away on October 14th, 2021 (suddenly, but peacefully), and I have to take a few moments to share my experience. Funeral Director/Owner, Ron Fitzpatrick was compassionate, kind and extremely professional from start to finish guiding me through the wake and funeral process for my Dad. He handled everything with the sensitivity and ease needed to get things organized. The day I had to come into Dunphy's and sign off on various documents, select an Urn, choose a bulletin and complete all the other miscellaneous items that required my attention, I never once felt rushed, prodded, or like it was "business as usual". He communicated all the logistical items pertaining to Dad's wake, cremation (which by the way does not take place at Dunphy's, they do not own or operate a crematorium on site), and funeral very clearly, and he took the time to explain everything in great detail. Ron definitely took my feelings and emotions seriously and that was very much appreciated and something I'll never forget.
When you are dealing with the loss of a loved one and must immediately go into "preparation mode" you sometimes forget things or simply just change your mind on certain things. Whenever I reached out to Ron, no matter what time of day or night it was, he was very responsive and provided the information I needed or made any changes that I requested right away. No hoops to jump through, or multiple calls to make trying to get a hold of him, his response was immediate. I have never been through a process like this before where I was 100% involved, Ron guided me with the upmost respect and professionalism, but most importantly with kindness.
I will close this review by saying that if you are looking to have a great experience, you can trust that Ron Fitzpatrick will do the job with dignity and grace with top notch service.
"Kindness and Compassion is free, sprinkle it everywhere".
Warm Regards,
Sonya Doran
