Brenan's handled my Mom's arrangements when she was terminal. I don't know the specifics of how they communicated, but she laid out her wishes so my stepdad and I wouldn't have to worry once she passed. She told the gentleman she was working with that she specifically did not want an event or even an obituary. After she passed, we went in to the Paradise Row location to finalize the details of her cremation and he told us those were her wishes. I said something like, "come on, we need to at least place a notice in the paper..." and he very kindly and quietly reiterated that that was not my Mother's wish. Looking back, I am incredibly impressed with their honesty and compassion - it would have been easy to sell us, or any mourning family, on extra services in the name of a loved one, but Brenans absolutely did not try to do that. In a way, that's probably bad for business, but it was best for Mom and our family and I am still blown away by how they handled this. Truly, they helped us come to terms with honoring Mom's (ridiculous) wishes and I'm thankful for that. Brenan's is a stand-up business.

The entire team at Brennan's made our difficult loss easier to cope with, and the funeral planning was a relief because of Kate L. Our family was treated with compassion and respect. All of my many questions were answered, always promptly and with a smile. She was kind enough to offer me her personal cell phone number for any concerns I may have had. A family member passed suddenly and we were all left in shock and sadness. Brennan's Funeral Home surpassed all of our expectations.

There was a lovely funeral director named Sharlene who worked here for years. She was an absolute treasure to work with; she helped many families through the grieving process and catered to their needs in an unparalleled way. However, I heard she no longer works here, so I will be looking elsewhere when services are required. I’d recommend others do the same as well.

Words are not enough to express our deep appreciation for all the detail and care Sharlene MacDonald had for our family. We lost 2 loved ones close together. The professional care was excellent and her compassion for the grieving family was exceptional

Kate is horrible. Made everything worst and harder than it already was. God forbid anyone loose a very close family member, the last person you want to have to deal with is Kate, she will be ignorant and rude, should you correct her huge mistake of having randoms sign for cremation of the body and they are not actual legal next of kin. Than she will ignore all your calls nor call you back and when you have any questions in regards to the funeral, she will always be gone for the rest of the day if you show up to talk to her. Day of the funeral, you can forget about counting on kate to even show up, you ask any questions you may have, they will tell you, you need to speak with Kate, whom is of course missing. Just horrible service. I have a few family members who are still alive and well but have paid for their funeral service threw Brennan's and Mark my words, Kate will not be the one I'll be dealing with another family member of mine, nor should she come around me so I don't have to tell her about herself and her messed up ways of dealing with people whom lost their family members.

I live in Ottawa & could not make it to ,my cousin's funeral (Doreen Mulholland) on Dec. 17/21. I was extremely disappointed in the video, showing only the priest & the readers. At least you could have shown her coffin to make us feel like participants.
