I recently lost my sister and mother within two weeks of each other. So I had experiences with the staff of James J. Dougherty Funeral Home twice in a very short time period. The first experience was extremely positive. As we planned my sister's funeral, they took into account the fragile health of my mother and offered suggestions for how we could make things easier for her. Shortly after my sister's death, my mother passed away. We returned to Dougherty Funeral Home and received the same compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and caring services. We never felt rushed. They took the time to discuss options, despite the fact that we had just been through the planning process with them. They were patient as we worked through issues with insurance and had staff available to help with any troubles we had with the insurance companies. I truly can not rate them high enough, if I could, I would give them ten more stars above the scale of five out of five! I highly recommend the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home.
