That Hippy Vegan

Provided very little support during a difficult time. It took weeks to get ahold of Carolyn, when we finally were able too she was unable to answer our questions. Or even direct us to an individual who could do so. She was a no show to a meeting where we were suppose to pick up our loved ones ashes, we were left waiting outside in the hall for a half hour before finally getting ahold of her. It would have saved us alot of heart ache and stress if we had gone through another funeral director.

Carolyn and Sarah make a very difficult time easier, due to their knowledge, attention to detail and compassion. They never try to sell you anything, but they have many options for urns, memorial books and jewellery at reasonable prices, if you choose.

Amazing. When my father died Carolyn was respectful, tactful and new exactly how to talk and interact with my mother. Prices were excellent. You can take her at her word for anything she commits to and she's informative and knows what she's talking about. I'll give two negatives, though: 1) Her office at 571 Wharncliffe was a little hard to find; and, 2) She overworks herself which can make connecting with her a little hard at times. I'm being frank with those negatives but I'm also not knocking off any stars for them. She offers a five star service.

I would most definitely recommend AFO. Carolyn provided excellent service at the time of my mother's death, which occurred during the confusing early months of the COVID pandemic. She responded immediately when contacted and arranged everything we needed - the whole process was seamless and required minimal effort from us. In addition to her qualities of competence and professionalism, Carolyn has a wonderful warmth and compassion about her. Her presence was very comforting at a difficult time. I cannot recommend her and her business highly enough!
