I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FUNERAL HOME. My experience with Morton's Mortuary goes as follows: Mid-June one of my older siblings transitioned life. Her children were devastated and the youngest of the three in charge of funeral preparations. She enlisted my guidance. This translated to me coordinating funeral arrangements for a burial in Connecticut. I reside in Delaware. I checked three local funeral homes Morton's Mortuary Inc, Baker-Isaac Funeral Services and Lester Gee Funeral Home. That said, I'll simply focus this review on the amazing experience I had with Funeral Director, Robert Morton & Morton's Mortuary Inc. All preparations were done via telephone and email excepting the delivery of clothes for the deceased. The entire staff is professional, courteous, and empathetic. Any and every question or concern I had was treated with the utmost importance. This dedicated director was truly available at all hours of the day and evening. All aspects of the arrangements were clearly communicated to me and my family while handled in a respectful manner. I found Morton's Mortuary pricing was consistent with the area costs for the service we wanted (based on price lists received from 3 area funeral homes). I can't praise Morton's Mortuary enough. They have mastered the delicate balance between getting the job done quickly and professionally while showing empathy to survivors and handling the deceased in a dignified manner. Although we had no insurance to cover the expenses, the funeral preparations were organized quickly. Prior to the service we paid for it through funding/donations from family and friends. Robert Morton never once made me feel payment was priority, he instead focused on ensuring everything was prepared for the service and burial. They respected our word that it would be paid for prior to the burial date. This was the first time I had to arrange a funeral and with Morton's Mortuary, Inc. it was an amazingly easy experience. I arrived the day of the funeral and everything was as planned. Amid this COVID-19 pandemic, 20 people were allowed at funeral service, the area was roped off with clear paths for viewing and seating. This was done in compliance with CDC Guidelines and I was advised well in advance of the circumstances. I felt safe as I was anxious about attending the service since I've been sheltering in place. Those who waited outside of the funeral home during the service and those who couldn't attend were able to view the service by live streaming made available by the funeral home. Guidelines for the funeral procession to the cemetery were clearly communicated. We were given proper expectations throughout this entire process. Morton's Mortuary, Inc., "Thank you! Job Well Done!" I highly recommend this funeral home and wish I could give them 10 stars!!.
