The service I received here was excellent. The staff went over and above any thing expected in helping me make a difficult time easier . Ben and Kevin found ways to make things happen. With covid many people were not able to attend the graveside service , Ben arranged to live stream the service Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and understanding. My family and I cannot thank the staff at GFT Funeral Home enough for making it easier to manage the difficult process of losing our loved one. All of the staff were exceptionally professional, empathetic, and always quick to respond. I was never worried about waiting for a reply; I got responses to my emails and phone calls either immediately or within the business day. They were very knowledgeable about the necessary paperwork to CPP, Service Canada, the CRA, etc., and helped us with completing everything. They also provided plenty of copies of the Death Certificate since they knew we'd need them for various paperwork. I was also extremely pleased with their ability to accommodate us and our graveside needs as best as we could hope for within COVID-related gathering restrictions. Our family felt heard and cared for. Thank you again to all the staff for their hard work and helping us through this difficult time.

I found Jackie Markland very friendly and helpful during the planning of the funeral . The aftercare was handled by Stacey Hartley- very helpful . During a loss that was a complete shock to our family Karen went above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined and have experienced before. The genuine care and compassion she showed my entire family (including family members who are not well off and are quite rough around the edges) is something that I can never thank her enough for. She treated everyone with respect, took her time - never once made us feel rushed and was knowledgeable and answered all of our {many} questions. We are so grateful for having her assist us through a very intense and emotional process. The other staff that sorry I cannot remember the names of were also wonderful. We noticed in the office that Karen was not on the wall which she mentioned was because she transferred from another funeral home and it was in the works. Other frames seemed to be missing and the wall seemed a bit sad. I know other funeral homes keep those type of frames with the employee names in the coffee lounge neatly organized on display so maybe that is something that could be considered instead of tucked away upstairs. Overall I cannot say thank you enough to Karen and Tompkins for making such a heartbreaking experience a little more bearable with your care and expertise. No offense but I hope I do not see you again anytime soon, although I know I am excellent hands if I do have to.

The staff at Tompkins Funeral Home at Central location are very professional, respectful and easy to deal with. Big shout out to Stacey Hartley and Laura Tackaberry they both made the loss of our loved one a bit easier to deal with.
