Nightmare! Avoid this funeral home. From paperwork and name misspellings to errors in last wishes. They offer a lot of apologies in a devasting situation. Unfortunately it was impossible to correct their carelessness and disregard for the deceased. Please choose another funeral home to avoid the pain we experienced.

David did a fabulous job for our family. Dr. Bonnie Henry's new restrictions came down the afternoon before my mother's funeral, throwing a big wrench in our plans. David went above and beyond, scrambling to find innovative ways to accommodate our family. Very professional, great attention to detail, and sincere in his dealings with people who are grieving. I unfortunately had occasion to attend two services for family members only weeks apart. My father had pre-arranged his service. Other than an initial hiccup with calling in when my dad passed away (for which Springfield sincerely apologized for), the service was excellent. Pre-arrangement means not having to make difficult decisions at a terrible time. I would recommend Springfield and I would recommend making pre-arrangements.

Horrible mistakes. They refuse to take responsibility or acknowledge anything... they were extremely pushy & said they have to do the paperwork. I wasn’t allowed to view anything they had completed.... 4 months later Government of Canada, CPP, and survivors are still trying to fix all their mistakes. Avoid this place. Completely traumatized.

When Dad died 16 years ago, these wonderful folks were so very helpful to our family, especially to my mother. Now Mom too has slipped away to be with Dad. She recently died in the Central Okanagan Hospice House. I was present when the staff from Springfield came and picked her up. There was such kind respect and dignity shown, as well as genuine empathy towards my obviously sorrowful situation. Just now I've returned from Springfield after finalizing things, I can say with all honesty that I have the feeling that I'd been dealing with family. My sister and I are so grateful to Bob Hodgson and the family at Springfield Funeral Homes, for their Kind, Gentle, non-judgemental professionalism. with the passing of our mother, my sister and I were assured in and comforted by the confidence shown by this team that our grief was truly lightened. From picking up our mother, preparing and submitting an obituary, arranging for internment and delivering mom to her resting place, we never had concern. The preparation of the documents afterwards and the assistance with the immediate notifications was also very appreciated.
