We've got the reviews of people who are purchasing the services of Bear Creek Funeral Home & Cremation Sanctuary (Mortuary) in the area close to Jasper (Canada).
To this day the firm gets a rating of 4.6 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 22 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is almost the highest, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the rating is quite accurate. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Mortuary is included in the category of Funeral home.
Uncompassionate, dishonest, fake staff. Would not trust them even with your cat burial let alone a human. Terrible service.
I am familiar with the Richmond Reception Center inside the Funeral home; as we've used it multiple times. The staff have been on point, going above and beyond to accommodate us. Its heart warming to encounter such sincere, loving people. A person can't help but smile when you think of both Eunice and Doug and of course Pete. Thank you BCFH

When my father passed away the staff at Bearcreek were so accommodating and helpful. They helped me through each step, ensured all my paperwork was together, and even did some things with the government on my behalf. Due to their knowledge and expertise, I was able to have the majority of his funeral paid for by AISH. In such a difficult time it was immense to have their help and guidance. It was a wonderful experience from the beginning to end. I cannot recommend them enough!
I know Eunice to be kind, compassionate & generous woman who heart is for our community of Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.
My father Gerald recently passed after a life of mental illness and a double leg amputation from living as essentially a homeless person. After his passing we had been contacted by Bear Creek Funeral Home and made a time to come in and speak with Jennifer, one of the funeral directors. Jennifer was extremely compassionate and caring with her approach whilst going through all of my fathers paperwork. Jennifer suggested we should apply for government assistance through social services given my father was in a category that made him eligible for this grant. The estimated bill for Bear Creeks services that would be provided would be just under $5000. Both my wife and I made it clear that if it came down to it that we could figure out how to pay the invoice for the services however a successful application with social services would ease a lot of the financial load on our family and would be appreciated. Jennifer had mentioned that our next step for a complete application was for us to visit TD bank and retrieve my fathers recent banking information. Bear Creek had been given both my wife and I’s contact as well as my brother Andrew, for communication purposes. Months had passed and social services had declined the application for the grant due to a missing document. Unknowingly to me, Bear Creek had chosen to submit my information to collections for their unpaid invoice without formal or informal notice to myself. Please note that we have not received my fathers ashes, death certificate or any related documentations for services, as they have not been performed. This is an ACTIVE file, meaning that there is no legal obligation to send me to collections for something that is still in a “pending” status. I have had multiple conversations with the owner and operator of Bear Creek, Doug Friesen and the controller Kelly. Each phone call has been beyond frustrating and they are completely unwilling to honour their initial promises. Doug has made it very clear with his actions and his words that he will not entertain any possible avenue to conflict resolution. Doug and the controller Kelly have refused to remove me from collections knowing that they had just resubmitted the complete application last week and we’ve still heard nothing back, they also stated there is another step that if for some reason this first avenue failed we still have yet to go down. I have had an extensive career in the service industry from running multiple auto dealerships to Real Estate. In my years of experience not only have I never encountered a single customer with a complete lack of morals and ethics let alone a owner and operator in an extremely sensitive industry. The complete absence of professionalism, empathy and compassion from such business is utterly shameful given the industry this is and it's saddening to be left dealing with these types of people. Based on their attitudes and choice to handle this as they did, I’m certain that if we were spending tens of thousands of dollars for an exquisite ceremony, casket, flowers and other services we surely would have been treated differently. The countless lies that came from them, some admitted, some proven from their own conflicting information after being caught red handed was sickening. The worst part is all the others to deal with this before who were probably too distraught to take the time to stand up for their rights to not be pushed around by these dishonest bullies, who deceivingly present themselves initially as people looking out for your best interests. Best advice I can give based on this experience is to NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND their services, as Doug Friesen and Kelly simply put are the worst type of people, especially in this field where they can take advantage of people so easily and get away with it because there's likely too much pain at the time of a loved one's death and they know it...
I went to a service there. Efficient, caring and helpful.

Very thorough and considerate ... I was happily surprised when exploring options for various aspects of the process, we weren't limited to the options that clearly resulted in the gains of the funeral home. Fortunately I don't have a lot of experiences with funeral homes to compare with, but that said, this place gets 5 stars.
Each time we have needed a place to have an event with short time, Bear Creek funeral home has been there to assist. with great staff and spacious areas, I highly recommend using Bear Creek.
When my Grandfather passed away on his 98th birthday, the staff exhibited tremendous service and empathy. They had every answer and request our family had! They took complete care of everything!! I recommend!!
Had an incredible experience with Bear Creek Funeral Home. My Mother recently passed away and they were so great in navigating us through this hard process. Very kind and helpful staff who really went out of there way to make things perfect for us. It made things so much easier through the difficult time.
Just like to share the love and compassion given to us and many others who have used Bear Creek Funeral Home. Eunice and Doug and the team they have built are totally amazing. Their price point is totally in line with others. Will continue to recommend them in the future. Eunice and Doug keep up the great work in our city. Much love CarolAnne/Terry Doll
The care and attention provided to families is always completed with kindness and compassion. I would reccomend 100x over.
Three years ago, my mother passed away. She lived in a different Province, the service and burial were held in her home town. Bear Creek Funeral was not the service provider, but…if not for the help of Doug and Eunice and their team at Bear Creek Funeral I really don't know how my family would have got through all the arrangements and decisions that had to be made. Every text I sent asking 'does this make sense?' 'are these costs in-line?' ‘what does ---- mean?’ were instantly responded to and they walked us through it. Kindness given that they did not have to do, but did anyway. Compassion, empathy and caring demonstrated over and over again as we made our way through those impossible days. I don’t remember if I thanked them at the time. I do know I will never forget their gift of time and support. Thank you it made a difference.
When Grams passed away BCFH helped our family and turned a hard stressful situation into a respectful service, fit for the head and heart of our family! When your family has need for service we strongly recommend the understanding experienced team at BCFH.
Staff is very compassionate and respective of family and friends.
Doug Friesen and his staff provided my family with a very positive experience during a very hard time. The passing of a loved one is never easy but Doug guided us through the experience in a very professional manner. He was very easy to work with. He was able to accommodate requests on very short notice and ensured he that we did not miss key aspects of the process. He and his staff were very nonjudgmental and willing to listen to the families wishes. The result was a very memorable positive experience.
Thank you to Bear Creek Funeral home in helping our family through the death of both parents. You have gone to great lengths to give us what we needed especially the headstone that is coming this spring! We can hardly wait to see it - you worked so hard to satisfy each of my siblings in getting it just right. Thank you
