Very very disappointed ! The care of my mother’s remains and death notice was a total disgrace to her memory. Had to call to get it corrected! Bought four urn necklaces that were not sealed (outsides of them covered in her ashes), one came open and I lost my mother’s ashes ! Urn was not properly engraved . Never ever again!! Do not trust this place now! Three huge errors that has made my experience dramatically unpleasant and extremely upsetting . As if my mother passing wasn’t hard enough ....It is very disappointing and completely unacceptable! My family has used this home for generations....how could they be so careless ?

i had my husbands cremation done here and i paid for it all at one time. then i was told that i would have to wait 2 weeks after the cremation to get the ashes and that didnt happen. its been since feb.11/18 and now story has changed. because of my husbands red neck family i cant have the ashes until i go to court to get appointed an administrater and that is 2500 just to start and i already paid 3500 for his cremation. i was there for 28 years for my husband through his life of getting into trouble and i stood by him all the time but his red neck family did not want anything to do with him then. not even his kid who now is in her 30;s. her texts to my daughter were that her dad can rot in hell when he was in jail. now they are stopping me from getting his ashes and this funeral home wont release them.

My personal experience with the staff was above and beyond. Mackenzie and Daniel were very personable and understanding. They took care of the details, a lot of which I did not even consider after my father's passing. The facility is clean and bright, and appropriate measures were in place to follow covid-19 safety protocols.

Professional staff and very attentive to detail. Funeral director Ian Moore very experienced and his attention to detail unsurpassed. I was a funeral director for 35 yrs, practiced for 10 yrs. in my opinion, they have excellent embalmers. My mother in law looked great. We had a Catholic Church service. They know how to run one.

Our experience with Tompkins Funeral Home was excellent. Mackenzie and Karen were professional but also very caring and comforting. We live over an hour away from Kingston and Mackenzie even came to our home to help with the planning and paperwork. (She lives near us.).
