Wish I could give zero stars. My poor grandmother waited almost 3 weeks long than quoted to receive my grandfather's ashes. They even messed up my grandfather's obituary by miss spelling his name. Lewis funeral has know about the mistakes for weeks and still has yet to fix the obituary. I hope no one treats your loved ones as carelessly as you guys have treated ours.

Don't choose this place! They mixed up two bodies for two DIFFERENT families and cremated the wrong one without the families knowledge or permission. They took away their family member without letting the family see him for the last time. How could you possibly mess that up? That is a HUGE deal to this family. You took him away.

I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect and rudeness from a funeral home. My first conversation with Lance Glenn/ president, the morning after my father was picked up was “who are You” and “we need to get paperwork done “, you can’t see the deceased until 4 clock, I was enroute to see my father before he was cremated. Upon my arrival at 4pm I was not treated with I am sorry for your loss, anything we can do let us know not even a hand shake. NO NO it was “ so you don’t want anything other than a cremation”’ no I replied and ask if it was prepaid and it was, otherwise I would of had another funeral home pick my father up from this place. Paper work was presented and needed returned ASAP. Becaware your dad doesn’t look so good, He’s over there in that room. I walked into a room with my father , disheveled hair and nothing to make it a bit less harsh. Upon leaving there was nothing said. I was distressd over my fathers sudden death , did I need a rudeness? No I did not, The reason for this attitude was about money! If I wasn’t spending a certain amount then I was of no value or care or simple human kindness. Shame on you . I give you -20 stars

My son passed on March 27,2020 and it was at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.The staff of Lewis were very kind and understanding. They did a fantastic job ,my son looked like he was asleep and could wake up at any second.They were professional,kind,and very helpful throughout and after the entire process. We will be forever grateful for them as they cared for us as though we were family.

Asked about my mom's ashes. .. Again that I already paid in full for..and whomever answered said no I don't know about THAT and we are closed ???? why did you answer the phone then??

My Mom passed away in a nursing home in Van Buren and they picked her up and took great care of her and was so nice to me and my dad .. no one was rude or hateful at all my mom had her Direct Cremation 2 days after she passed and i had her ashes back home with me the next days . im so thankful for Lewis Funeral home totally professional kind and caring and very RESPECTFUL ....

The funeral director Lynette was amazing and thoughtful. However, the administrative assistant Leslie is the worst. She's rude as soon as you walk into the door and acts like you're just an inconvenience in her day. Definitely not what someone needs after they lose a loved one.

They told me up front that anything that wouldn't burn would be removed before cremation and once they got his body they refused to remove a full gold bridge weighing almost 2 ounces . They told me within 24 hours they would call me to let me know his ashes were ready. I went the day before the funeral a week later to find out why I hadn't been called. A full 33 days later, they still hadn't even ordered the death certificates. I did get a refund of the money I paid them and got the death certificate the very next day.

The staff was extremely rude to the family of the deceased during the wake. The owner is involved in day to day operations and does not take complaints, he just chooses to ignore them

Lance & his team did a wonderful job with my mother's funeral. They were up front about everything and never pressured us on any decision. Their recommendations were spot on. They honored every request we made & even some we made at the last minute. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They rescued my father's funeral, literally! We had made preparations with Forever Memories Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Ok and a few days before the funeral, my husband was informed that they didn't apply for their license in time! Oh what?? Couldn't believe it! They didn't have anything done. Lewis Funeral Home took over everything, quickly, and professionally. The only reason we give it four stars is because we requested they cover my daddy's hands, and they didn't. Would refere them and use them again.

We have been using Lewis's for as long as I remember, and never have I seen him treat someone the way he treated me(the owner). After we picked up my mothers ashes he called me and ripped me a new one for non payment of services. But I had, and had proof as well. After he realized it was a mistake he did apologize. But calling a grieving child to talk to them like they were trash was un acceptable. I was humiliated while bawling my eyes out over loosing my mother unexpectedly. My family will NEVER use them again.
